Tucked away in the southern part of Otranto lies a magical destination in the Baglioni Masseria Muzza. We were upgraded to the old section to a most beautiful renovated suite on arrival, and given a tour of the property. We loved the pool bar and outdoor bar and restaurant. The landscape and scenery was incredible - and beautifully maintained. One highlight was the outdoor breakfast area with every attention given to the preparation and service. I must mention in particular the warm, friendly and accommodating staff start to finish - really going above and beyond for us. It was perfect.

We had 7 wonderful nights at this beautiful masseria close to Otranto. The place is beautiful and has a wonderful air about it. The staff are second to none and are extremely attentive and helpful. The quality of food is excellent and well presented. Our room which was a junior suite was amazing, very grand with all the modern facilities. We can’t recommend this hotel enough, it’s simply wonderful.

Thinking back about our stay at Baglioni Masseria Muzza we realise that the best thing about the resort is definitely its’ STAFF - special shoutout to Valentina, Iilaria, Elisa & Rocco. They are amazing, professional, super helpful and always had a smile & friendly assistance. Our Junior Suite was massive, comfortable & architecturally unique. This was my partner & I first experience to stay in a Masseria. My partner (Alex) & I would also like to especially thank Valentina for all that you planned / did in advance & during our stay for my partner’s (Alex) birthday. We (particularly my partner, Alex) are both really grateful for ALL YOUR AMAZING gifts from Masseria Muzza - the flower, the cake, the balloons, the prosecco & the massage. You’ve made the Birthday Boy filled with love & happiness. Greatly appreciated & Grazie Mille 🙏🏻 The Private Sail Boat experience with Fabrizio was superb & of course you pre-arranged the amazing lunch just for us! The best sailing experience we have had this year. From the restaurant staff, I would like to thank Alberta, Gosia, Stefano & Vittorio for your friendly & warm hospitality. Superb Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Plus excellent drinks at the pool & the gazebo. The wine selection was awesome. Special shoutout to the chef for allowing us to request certain Italian (pasta) favourites for us at lunch. Our entire stay from beginning to end was FABULOUS. We are definitely looking forward to coming back again. From the above it should be clear Baglioni Masseria Muzza - you guys are TOTALLY & VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We stayed in a junior suite which was cool, calm and serene. The bed was big and comfy, the bathroom was large and finally (after staying in 4 other Puglian hotels) I had a proper makeup mirror! 😃 The terrace is ok, a bit small and hemmed in as we were on the lower level but it was fine. The pool area is lovely with the best sunbeds with decent thick mattresses. The pool is unheated and is on the cool side, but we were still able to swim in it in September. The hotel run a complimentary shuttle to a local beach club which is definitely worth taking advantage of. Reception will book the best sunbeds for you in advance, which I imagine would be key in high season. Overall this is a beautiful high class resort with fantastic staff. I especially want to recognise Vittiore (the restaurant manager - hope I got his name right!), the pool attendant (Giacomo I think) and the ladies at reception. The only thing to note, which has been mentioned by other reviewers is that this is a very pricey resort for food and drink. The sort of prices I would expect to pay in London rather than rural Italy. But there are other options about if you want to eat elsewhere.

Outstanding location, facilities and staff - definitely a place to stay in Salento and Otranto. Everything was perfect and Baglioni style is always impeccable: highest hospitality standards with a (friendly) Italian touch! PS: a very good selection of local food in the menu, which is worth to try!

We loved everything about this hotel! We stayed in a Deluxe Sunset Room which have really lovely balconies you can sit out on or sunbathe too. You can drive to beaches nearby which we enjoyed doing, or chill by the pool all day. Breakfasts were a little 'hotel chain' for us - the location is so wonderfully rustic it would be nice if there were a few more homemade touches. Also as others have mentioned the food and drinks are VERY pricey. We didn't eat in the hotel at night as oddly it didn't look that special for such a romantic setting - and also the high price did put us off a bit. But yes this is a fab place and we'd highly recommend it.

Great experience! We could not have asked for a more accommodating and friendly staff. They went above and beyond - researching where I could purchase a unique licquer I hoped to take home - and a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my birthday! Although off the beaten path, the 2.5 hr drive from Bari was well worth it. The property was beautiful and room was amazing. Although not directly on the beach, the 5 min shuttle ride to the Cocobay beach club was a breeze. The nightly entertainment at sunset was a great accompaniment to the excellent cuisine. This was our first Baglioni experience.. will definitely look to them for our bucket list trip to the Maldives!

We were lucky enough to stay here for one week just as they opened this month for the season . We were given an upgraded suite and we were very warmly welcomed. The masseria is in lovely countryside but just 10 minutes drive into the old town of Otranto which has lots of small shops and great restaurants and gelateria.There is a shuttle service in to town with the lovely drivers Giuseppe and David . There was a great selection at the buffet breakfast less choice for dinner but also delicious. The staff were all delightful but special mention to Valentina, Stefano and Alberta

A wonderful hotel, staffed by warm and welcoming people. Location is perfect: near Otranto (and not far from Lecce), with a beautiful panoramic view to the west with sunsets that are extraordinary. Traveled with another couple in early October for three nights, and had an amazing time-- rooms are large and gracious (we had a "sunset view" room, which I'd recommend), breakfast and dinner setting is tranquil and picture-postcard worthy; special shout-out to the bartender Marta and the Hotel Manager Virginia-- every need was anticipated, whatever tiny hiccups were encountered were addressed immediately. Much to see in the area-- the town of Otranto is great, had two spectacular meals at Altro Baffo and il Diavollichio Goloso, both among the best meals I've had anywhere. Lecce is filled with history (and more great food!), and Masseria Muzza is a great base for exploring the southern parts of the region. I'd recommend it for anyone traveling in Puglia, especially friends/couples.

The resort was lovely. Pool starting to look a little tired. Free shuttle bus into town was great. Rooms large and well appointed. Staff were exceptional. My only concern was the choice of dining. The restaurant was lovely and food great but very expensive. There was not a cheaper option...

Baglioni Masseria Muzza was a perfect place for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary! The suite was elegant and comfortable and very spacious. The property was gorgeous, including a large, sparkling infinity pool (good lap swimming as well as so pretty). The staff were helpful and kind and went out of their way to make our stay feel personalized, especially helping us design our daily plan - from visiting beaches to natural wonders to fabulous dinners in Otranto. And I have to spotlight the breakfasts which were so lovely.

From the moment we arrived we knew we were at a five-star resort! This place was beautiful but most importantly, the staff made us feel amazing. What a great welcome and experience. You will not be disappointed if you come to Baglioni Masseria Muzza! We will definitely be coming back...
