We stayed at the Baglioni Regina in Rome for 5 nights. The experience we had without a doubt ranks as of our best trips. We travel quite frequently and have been around the United States as well as to multiple countries, this trip without a doubt ranks as one of the best thanks for the staff at Baglioni. From every details such as the cleaning staff at the rooms handling every little detail to ensure your room is clean, to the Concierge being available to verify or make reservations at a moments notice. The Spa is a must visit and just spending the morning in the Sauna, jacuzzi tub or steam room. Without a doubt, this hotel provides one of the best Luxury service of any hotel we have stayed at including Ritz Carltons.

My wife and I spent three wonderful nights at this hotel January 2025. Having stayed here 10 years ago we have tried a number of other hotels in Rome including the Eden Hotel and I have to say that the Baglioni is by far the best 5 star hotel we have had the pleasure to stay in. The location is perfect as it is away from the hustle and bustle and still only a short walk to all that we wanted to see, 5 mins to the Spanish steps, 15 minutes to the forum and colosseum, 20 mins to the pantheon and Piazza Novona. Around the hotel there are some excellent restaurants serving great traditional Roman cuisine, notably Peppone just around the corner and Al Vero Toscana. The Hotel is exquisite both inside and out, the guest areas are beautiful and very ornate in a traditional Italian style , understated luxury. Restaurant for breakfast is beautiful and the breakfast offering is buffet style with ala carte if required , we mainly used the buffet which was full of choice and very high quality, cooked options prepared perfectly. The bedroom was very nice indeed, spacious and luxurious with all that we needed, bathroom absolutely lovely and Acqua di Parma toiletries provided in large bottles , a nice surprise. All of the above created a very comfortable and pleasant stay but the staff were the best part of our visit, all of the staff were very attentive and genuinely friendly, nothing was too much and we were treated as VIP’s just like all of the guests, it was very obvious that the staff are very well trained and truly enjoy working in this wonderful hotel. A 5 star review really does not do justice to this fantastic establishment, we will comeback next January for our annual visit to Rome , can’t wait .

The breakfast cannot be beat with a great buffet and menu. The waitstaff at the breakfast was extremely attentitive and assure that beverages were always filled. the front desk was extremily professional and happy to assit in any form. The location and proximity to various resturants, venus and torist locations make this a place to stay. Old world charm with a professional staff and great food - make this a destination!

The hotel itself has an old world feel that felt romantic. I wish more Christmas decoration adorn the hotel. The people - doorman (Giovanni!!!) the concierge Sandro, Francesco and Lorenzo help me a lot in the planning our week and directing us when we needed help, ie- got us tickets to “audience with the Pope” in a very short notice; booked us dinner reservation even last minutes and the restaurants were all great. The breakfast staff were discreet, but amazing. The harp player- who played Taylor Swift as per request. The rooms were all very clean, but the bed was the best! So comfy and so crisp! Thank you for making our stay wonderful. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our 25th Anniversay. Mr and Mrs Lucina

Reflecting on our recent stay at the Baglioni Hotel, I'm afraid I cannot recommend it as a 5 Star Leading Hotels of the World property. It fell short of expectations, despite its positive reviews and status. We booked a Grand Deluxe Room due to its newer features. As Leaders Club Members, we were upgraded to a Junior Suite. However, the room was disappointing—very old furniture and a desk so dirty it wouldn't be acceptable in a hostel. As a manager, I'd be embarrassed to accommodate guests in such conditions in a 5* hotel. After our complaint, we were downgraded to our original booking the next day. This room was nicely renovated. However, please note that this is an old historic building and even in the newer rooms, the windows are not soundproof. Our room was right above the hotels‘ service entrance and there was a lot of noise during the night. We chose this hotel for its Spa with whirlpool, sauna, and steam bath. However, the access to the Spa is only available upon reservation. The problem with this is that there are only about 10 slots available daily for over 180 rooms - with high demand between 4 and 7 pm. Most guests never get a chance to enjoy the Spa because it’s always fully booked, very disappointing. The hotel should reconsider updating its room infrastructure and Spa access policy. Despite its small size, the Spa could easily accommodate more than two people at once per hour. On a positive note, the harp player at breakfast during weekends and the breakfast staff were lovely. Unfortunately, the breakfast hall was very chilly, so we didn’t want to linger for long. Overall the negative experiences outweighed the positive ones. It felt like we had to fight to get what we paid for - not a pleasant experience. We won’t be returning.

Positives: Excellent breakfast and restaurant staff, with a special mention for Ariana. she got our complicated egg order right every time. Best Cappuccino in all of Italy I can say! Perfect tourist location, spacious shower area, ample luggage space, comfortable beds. One of the concierges was extremely helpful. Negatives: First, when we checked in, the room wasn't ready and we left our luggage with them. When we returned at night, they were missing one of the bags. We thought it was a careless mistake and informed them there was one more and left it at that. When we didn't hear back for few minutes, wife went down and was surprised to see that no-one, reception/concierge/bell-man was least concerned about it. She had to have quite an argument before they even agreed to look if they sent it to another room by mistake. Our bigger worry was if they had mistakenly sent it away with a departing guest. When she asked them to please check with the departures, was given a blank refusal. It turned up in one of the other guest rooms but the question is what if it hadn't! Before looking for it, they kept blaming us for not getting the baggage tag updated but I did ask the morning concierge before putting the bag in and shouldn't he have known their rules better enough to point that out. Once burnt twice shy, funnily enough I asked all my hotels in Naples, Florence and Venice if I needed an "accurate baggage tag" and none of them needed it at all. Second, I paid about 500 eur per night in low season, not sure but for that rate the reception staff could be friendlier and more explanatory about how the rooms/ac work

We arrived here about 4 days ago from the time this review is being made. I have been an honest and objective reviewer. This hotel was reserved by my wife, we came in early 1030am and we understand that check-in will not be until 2pm as described, so we decided to see Rome and came back around 2ish, but we were told room is not ready (i already read this in some reviews), in short we got the room past 3pm. We are suppose to be in a Grand deluxe room but not sure if we were in one. We are suppose to get a complimentary welcome wine, but that never came too despite reminding them. Front desk said its coming, again we are on our 4th day already and nothing. We, try not to be picky customers, did not bother to remind them anymore as again, i have seen bad reviews about this as well, no big deal as we are ok with a simple and comfortable bed. But if they cant even give us a bucket of ice, that pulled the string on me, if you cant even serve simple service then i dont think you deserve a 4 star review let alone a 5 star. Some staff are very nice, like bell boys, room cleaners and staff at the breakfast buffet, (mostly filipinos) are very nice, worthy to mention and tips which we always give for those who provide good service. I will update my review if something changes (i doubt). Location is ok being walkable to most iconic landmarks and just infront of the US embassy. I have been in 5 star hotels and has given honest reviews based on actual experience, unfortunately not in this hotel. Will i book in this hotel again? i would try some hotels around based on better stars and good review.

Lovely hotel - good staff!
Excellent Hotel! Tasty food and staff friendly and helpful! The harpist playing during Sunday breakfast was a nice touch. Rooms decor is lovely but very traditional. Just one tip - if you want to use the pool/sauna you have to make an appointment as you cannot just walk in.

Disappointed. The hotel contacted me in advance of arrival asking what time to expect me . I was actually impressed until I arrived at 2pm to find out the room wasn’t ready. I was told it would be just a few minutes which turned into an additional hour. After 40 minutes of waiting the front desk told me I can take a room with no view if I don’t want to keep waiting. I waited another 10 minutes before accepting the room with no view. At that point I was tired, cranky and in no mood to deal with a staff that leads with No and blames the guest. Expedia Gold supposedly comes with the benefits of upgrade, late check out and a bottle of sparkling. None of which were accommodated. . So, given that Rome has plenty of choice hotels, my recommendation is stay somewhere else. You can do better.
