As you and your sweetheart stretch out on the Azalea Inn & Villa’s front garden veranda amid the natural beauty of 19th-century indigenous plants, your dream of a perfect honeymoon might very well seem complete. It’s not until you step inside the elegant inn, however, that you will fully experience the pristine accommodations that the property is known for.
From the Gentleman’s Parlor and Forsyth Place to the Chinaberry Balcony and Magnolia Place, each Azalea Inn and Villas honeymoon room provides a unique experience for couples seeking the most romantic experience of their lives. Rooms are tastefully decorated to reflect Savannah’s rich history, though full amenities and cozy sheets offer plenty of modern comforts. The property also features exclusive villas and suites, which offer the utmost privacy for a romantic honeymoon. With a two-person chaise lounge, vintage fireplace, and jet-air tub for two, the Cotton Exchange is a lovers’ paradise that is the ideal space to unwind after an exciting day in the city. As the light from the rising sun gently seeps through the linen curtains in the Wisteria Cottage Suite, it might be difficult to get out of the luxurious king-sized bed, but knowing that the French doors are waiting to be opened to your private patio might make it a little easier.
Breakfast during your Azalea Inn & Villa honeymoon is a textbook example of delicious Savannah cuisine. Foodies will be taken in by dishes as complex and varied as the ‘Honey-Thyme Roasted Plums with Crème Fraîche and Buttermilk Pecan Pancakes with Bacon’ or the ‘Cheese Blintz Crepes and Fresh Berries drizzled with Raspberry Sauce and served with Bacon’. Not only can you choose to enjoy your meal in the dining room, poolside on the back patio, or in the comfort of your plush bed, but the inn will be pleased to serve you a private breakfast at your Vacation Villa for the most romantic beginning to a day imaginable.
Beautiful as the front veranda is, the hidden gardens located behind the inn are just as charming. With a swimming pool and fish pond, the secret spot is the perfect oasis in a city that is teeming with exciting activities. Once the sun begins to set, the fire pit is the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet cocktail and reflect on your perfect day in one of America’s most historic cities.

The inn was wonderful. It was in the heart of Savannah with easy access to the riverfront and Forsyth park. The inn was clean, beautiful and perfect for our stay! My girlfriend and I walked to the riverfront which was about 15-20 mins or a mile. We stopped to at the park and looked at the fountain. We ate dessert at the inn which was spectacular, and breakfast in the morning was even better!

Rooms are great. We had a balcony with a couch and lounge chair. The inn was clean and they were cooking apple pie for everyone when we arrived in the evening. Teegan at the front was incredible and breakfast service was amazing. Would absolutely recommend.

TOURISTS BEWARE!!! My husband and I booked a one night stay at the Azalea Inn for early October at a cost of nearly $400.00. Then Hurricane Helene happened and it turned our world upside down. Our family member and our grandchildren lived in the Lake Lure area and they lost everything, every single thing you could imagine. My husband and I are now the sole caregivers for these family members. We are most grateful and feel blessed that they are safe, while many others were not. We had to make the difficult journey to NC to bring them home with us. Consequently, we needed to cancel our reservation at the Inn. We were told that no money would be refunded, because it was not fourteen days before our arrival, and that was their policy. The call was made twelve days before our arrival. Several days later, our credit card was charged the full amount. At this new chapter in our lives, that money was very much needed. These several months later, while we are still trying to help our grandchildren pick up the remnants of their lives, it is extremely difficult for us to understand the cold hearted actions taken on the part of the owners of the Azalea Inn. So, tourists beware. No matter how catastrophic the event, you must follow their policy...that doesn't say much for those owners!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Azalea Inn. It's a beautiful home, the breakfasts were excellent, staff was very friendly and helpful and location was great. I really appreciated that they adapted foods to my dietary needs. The Sweet Olive Room that we stayed in was charming. If you're someone who likes a dark room for sleep, just know that a lot of light filters through the patio door curtains at night. I made use of the sleep mask I brought with me and was fine. Didn't bother my husband at all.

10/10 the best hospitality! This was our first visit to Savannah and we came celebrating our wedding anniversary. We’re very glad we chose to stay here! Teagan and Q were both very professional and yet so warm & welcoming. You can tell they both really care about their guests and are passionate about what they do. Our room was beautiful, the bed and pillows were so comfortable, and my husband said the water pressure in the shower was the best out of any hotel or b&b he has stayed at! Breakfast every morning was AMAZING and the 5pm tapas were always tasty to come home to after walking around all day. It’s in a perfect location to walk into downtown, while staying far away enough from the noise. We will definitely be back!

Q was helpful in getting luggage up the stairs, showing us the ins and outs of the Inn, asking about food sensitivities, and helping us with tickets for the trolley. Breakfasts were southern delicious, and there were tasty evening snacks as well. The bed was absolutely heavenly - with a just right firmness and coziness. The location is convenient to a trolley stop and in a very walkable location within the historic district. Definitely a win for adults looking for a comfortable place to rest and experience southern hospitality

I stayed in the Chinaberry Balcony Room at the Azalea Inn November 1- November 3 for my 58th birthday. Miss Q thank you for the delicious German Chocolate cake. Thank you Teagan and Scott for making our stay such a wonderful stay. I finally got to meet Miss Kylie such a sweet you g lady. I liked seeing Betty the housekeeper again. The cooks were fantastic as usual we love the bed and breakfast’s that they serve us. I enjoyed meeting Lisa and Michelle and telling them to go to Sundae Cafe on Tybee Island for dinner. We also met two newlywed couples one from California and one from Columbia South Carolina. We met other people this time but I didn’t get to talk to everybody. I also was the only one brave enough to take a dip in the pool it was very refreshing. I will definitely be back again as long as the good LORD allows me. Love seeing all my dear friends, Miss Q, Mr Teagan, Mr Scott and the rest of the staff. I feel like this is my home away from home. With all our love, Tennessee Tim and Tootie Smith. We♥️ Azalea Inn and Villas and we ❤️Savannah and Tybee Island🙏🙏🙏

We booked the Azalea Inn for our wedding anniversary celebration & stayed in the Huntingdon Suite. The room is lovely & located on the 2nd floor above the dining room and kitchen. The room offers a romantic setting for special occasions. It provides a closet, chest of drawers, and vanity for overflow of toiletries as the bathroom counter surface is somewhat limited. The king bed sits high yet a step stool is provided … the mattress felt brand new. We especially enjoyed sipping coffee & cocktails in the comfortable leather chairs in front of the fireplace. All of the staff was professional, welcoming & reliable for questions, recommendations, etc. During our stay we had more exposure to Q — a wonderful lady who wears MANY hats throughout the day at this property! A different breakfast menu is offered each day - or the Chef can prepare something else according to dietary needs. Overall we were impressed with how QUIET the property is with regard to road noise and guests respecting the quiet hours. Thank you for a wonderful experience for our special occasion!

Our choice of a three night stay at this inn was based on various guide book and social media reviews. Having stayed in Savannah before we liked h the location of the inn When comparing with other Bed and Breakfast inns it falls down on quality one would expect for a premium price. Admittedly Savannah is a major tourist destination which maintains premium pricing. The breakfast is very limited in portions bordering on tight budget control and lacking in serving attendants. The inn is marketing itself at a quality level that is not in evidence in the bedrooms being tired in appearance though authentically furnished. The bathroom and towels in our room needed upgrading. In addition we would have certainly expected cotton bed linen rather than down market poly cotton sheets and bedspread.

We stayed at the Inn for our Anniversary and it was fantastic. The house and the rooms were really nice and decorated with unique items. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. When we got there Tegan went over the area with a map highlighting restaurants and areas of interest. We stayed in the Cotton Exchange which was extremely nice and had a jacuzzi tub. One of the nicest touches about the Inn was the coffee/tea area. Being only tea drinkers it was super that they had a full assortment of tea bags and loose tea with an electric kettle and special syrups and honey. We were in walking distance to all the historic areas or just a short Lyft ride. Would definitely go back!!

We were guests from 3/13/2025 - 3/16/2025, 3 nights. Reservations and check-in were extremely smooth. Scott was so pleasant checking us, giving us a tour of the inn and explaining amenities. We stayed in the "Live oak canopy" room. It was comfortable and we loved having our own private balcony. A couple of suggestions I'd make about the room: the mirror in the bathroom needs to be replaced. It's quite shabby, the frame is peeling / fraying quite badly on the bottom nearest the sink. (See pictures) The rug could use a good cleaning or just remove it altogether. Breakfast on 3/14 (Friday) was wonderful! I had the featured menu which included salmon croquettes, gouda grits, and pan roasted Brussels with sweetpotato. My husband had eggs made to order, bacon, toast, and gouda grits. Saturday's breakfast 3/15 seemed to be a bit of a struggle in the kitchen. Again I had the featured menu; chicken and waffles drizzled with a sort of spicy vinaigrette sauce, strawberry mandarin salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I asked for the sauce "on the side" since I don't care for spicy fare. Scott served me and apologized for the sauce NOT being on the side remarking "it's not that spicy". It wasn't but it was cold and the waffles weren't crispy at all. They didn't even look like they'd been toasted. Chicken was completely hidden between the waffles. (see pictures) My husband's made to order breakfast was good, but he never got his toast even after reminding/ asking for it. Sunday's breakfast 3/16 was good all around. I had the featured menu of a veggie bowl with fried egg on top. My husband had a made to order breakfast. Only complaint was no butter nor jam readily available on the table nor side board. He had to ask. I also suggest a small under counter ice maker be added to amenities. The in freezer ice maker on the 2nd floor landing just isn’t adequate when the inn is full of weekend guests.
