A wonderful hotel. What makes it special is the staff.... every one is happy and there's a lively family feel to the place. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely.... yes it was one of the top rooms up the hill so lots of steps. Tjat's no issue as if you don't feel like doing stairs the shuttles come quuckly to whisk you where you need to go. Both beaches are beautiful and there's some of tge best snorkelling on the island right off the beach. The food is good, whilst Apsara restaurant on the beach has a truly great vibe and the best food we ate on holiday (we stayed in 2 locations and ate in a number of island restaurants, so this is a true compliment). The team here were also very friendly and helpful. Guest services, particularly Guester, were really informative and helpful in sorting out what to do. We did the morning birdwalk with Meno... he is full of knowledge and able to identify birds so far away you can barely see them! Of course you'll see loads of unusual and beautiful birds all over the resort. This is a peaceful and unusual resort. We'd stay here again in a flash. Very highly recommended!

We had the absolute best time/honeymoon in Saint Lucia, specifically at Anse Chastanet. The second-to-none scenery speaks for itself, but what truly made our entire 9-day stay was the service. Anse Chastanet has the warmest, friendliest, and most intentional employee base. We genuinely connected with so many members of the staff who constantly ensured our activities were booked, reservations were made, and cars were coordinated. We couldn't be more grateful to the team and so look forward to hopefully coming back sometime in the future!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Anse Chastanet. All the staff were amazing and went out of their way to really make you feel special. There are two beautiful beaches, which are extremely private. More than ample seating on the beaches with your own palapa. Anse Mamin is well worth the walk or water taxi to get to. You absolutely have to have a jungle Burger for lunch! Dinner at the Tree house was sensational, with delightful vegan options as well. The beer! The Local Beer Company, St. Lucia's own microbrewery, is served here. You must try the Citrus IPA, and the Passionfruit lager. Some special people made our stay even better: Rajesh, you made us feel welcome from the get-go go and we sincerely appreciated your hospitality. Melvin, your cocktails, charm, and warm banter were great. Thank you. Vanessa, you were such a delightful server and even laughed at my dad jokes about how the food was "horrible" (despite it being obvious I licked my plate clean). Your infectious smile was a treat. Thank you! We can't recommend Anse Chastanet highly enough. We will absolutely be back.

Anse Chastanet Resort Spent a week (end of February) in a Premium Hillside Room. Did not miss the air conditioning. Our room, 7B, had views of the Pitons and of the beach…..the porch was very spacious. Had 2 rocking chairs, a table and chairs, and 2 comfortable lounges. There were numerous ceiling fans, as well as additional fans to use if you needed more of a breeze. Perhaps we just lucked out with the best weather…..we did not find it humid and were very comfortable. Yes, there are many, many steps to get from the room to the beach and restaurants – but we enjoyed this. We’re in our late 60’s and had no problem. And they have shuttles to take you to the beach, if you prefer. What we liked: - Every staff member was very friendly. - Casual attire. - Plenty of shaded beach lounges available; no need to get up early to get one. - Stick a yellow flag in the sand, and get served your drinks and food. - Loved the Anse Mamin beach; short 10-15 walk to get there (or take their boat shuttle). We felt this beach was a bit more isolated and private – but still with food/drinks available, as well as restrooms. We spent time on both beaches, but this was our favorite. - Nice, thick towels….both on the beach and in our bathroom. - Food was delicious – especially loved the burgers at Anse Mamin Beach…delicious pastries at Treehouse breakfast, as well as their dinners…and a wonderful curry dinner from Apsara. Loved that room service was available, and we took advantage of that to eat out on the open-air porch. - Took the Sunset Sail with Kerwin and Thaddeous. Was a very smooth trip – unfortunately, I am prone to motion sickness. Both Kerwin and Thaddeous were very kind to me, as well as the other three couples on the boat. Upon getting back to the dock, hotel staff saw that I was not feeling well – they checked on me as I waited for the shuttle to take me up to our room, and then even called a bit later to see if I was feeling better. This is a level of care that you do not find at other resorts. We were very impressed. - The Monday and Thursday night entertainment was L. M. Stone, a native St. Lucian. His voice is amazing – in particular, his country songs are outstanding! He has performed and recorded in Nashville. Make sure you catch one of his shows. He sings with such ease – and a variety of music genres. - Having been to St. Lucia before (at a different resort), we knew the roads were twisty. And yes, my motion sickness kicked in on that trip, causing a very unpleasant trip from the airport to the hotel. So this time, we listened to the reviewers who suggested taking the helicopter. What a blast! Pricier than the ground transportation, but what an opportunity to be at Anse Chastanet in less than 10 minutes. Was a first time for us riding in a helicopter – great way to view the Pitons and a seamless transport from UVF to the resort. Plus, arriving with my stomach feeling good was an added bonus! On our departure, we opted for the luxury ground transportation. This was provided by Shawn Weeks, and arranged through Anse Chastanet. I told Shawn about my motion sickness and he suggested I sit up front. His driving was very smooth, and he kept checking on me to see how I was feeling. His vehicle was very spacious and comfortable. And as an added bonus, he loves motorcycles as much as my husband….and the two of them had great “bike conversations” on our trip to the airport. Thanks, Shawn – I felt great for our flight back home. What we didn’t like: the fact that our week flew by too quickly. Believe the reviewers that rave about Anse Chastanet Resort – it is as great as they say!

Have just returned from 10 days in Anse Chastanet where we had the most wonderful stay, far exceeding our expectations. Our room had a great view of the Pitons as well as the sea, plus a huge terrace regularly visited by Bananaquits and St. Lucian Black Finches who kept us vastly amused every morning and evening. The room and bathroom were spacious and very well ventilated despite the absence of AC which we really didn't miss. Breakfast was amazing: one could not have asked for more and the quality and presentation of the A La Carte lunch and dinner menus were first class. We were spoilt by the variety of fresh grilled fish on offer - different every day! Live music in the evening was huge fun and we danced the night away quite regularly. Services on the spotless beach: from towels, refreshments and snacks, to watersports, were great. What made Anse Chastanet stand out above other similar offerings, has to be the wonderfully friendly staff; they were all professional, attentive and charming. Highly recommended.

This was the first all inclusive my husband and I have ever done and I cannot tell you how pleased we were. What made this vacation so wonderful was the kindness of EVERY single one of the staff. Everything from the bungalows to the bathrooms to the beach is kept so clean. Our favorite things to do was the Jazzy Sunset Cruise on Thursday night, the chocolate tasting on Tuesday morning, birdwatching and plantation walks, snorkeling ( the BEST we have ever done), paddle boarding, jungle biking, the art class Tuesday afternoon, sitting, reading and being pampered on the beach, being outside the entire 7 days except for the 1/2 hour we got a massage, and sitting in our bungalow and enjoying the view of the Caribbean Sea ( we were assigned 14 A so we did not have a view of the Pitons)

This is just an amazing hotel. Everything is either flabbergasting or a photo opportunity. Some highlights: 1. The view over the pitons. What a view. 2. The breakfast space. 100 feet view vertically down in lush green. Nature feels extremely close here. If fear of heights, keep away from the edge. 3. The beach. Caribbean as the brochure and friendly bar from the same brochure. 4. The next door old plantation. This is owned by the hotel, but over the hill (a footpath leads along the sea so no hike needed). Spooky at times, the intense green and delapidated plantation houses, but nonetheless worth it. The beach next to it is also pristine and has a little restaurant. 5. Did i mention the amazing wooden architecture? Still wondering how these cabins are moved in between the rocks and seemingly on top of each other. Heard owner / designer Nick passed away months after the visit, also the designer of next door Jade Mountain fame, what a shame of a true pioneer. Strength to the family and the hospitable team.

Simply beautiful. Breathtaking! Relaxing and rejuvenating resort with the most tasty meals I've had at a resort. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly host who provided us with our keys and phone (yes a private phone). We were then taken to our suite (we chose to walk to take in the beautiful scenery), and from there I knew then we would be returning. Our suite had the breathtaking view of the Pitons and I don't know any other way to describe it other than AMAZING. And if that wasn't the cherry ontop of this amazing experience, there is the beautiful sunset view from the sitting area in the suite. So many spots I can point out, so many beautiful staff I can thank (Peter Jn Paul and so many others). I will say this, if St. Lucia is on your bucket list, it's time to check it off and if you want an experience and a stay to remember, Anse Chastanet should be your first choice.

My favourite resort in Saint Lucia and probably the Caribbean. Great staff and food with an amazing location overlooking the Pitons. Wonderful beaches (there are two) with the best loungers. Never any need to camp out at 7 am to get a spot like at many other resorts.

Last December, my wife and I booked our first stay at Anse Chastanet... after an incredible trip, we said "we never come back to the same spot twice, but we might have to make an exception..." Cut to November 2024, less than 1 year since our last trip, and we returned to Anse Chastanet for another beachy, easy-breezy beach vacation! I had to share what a wonderful experience this was: The Hotel Situated on the side of a cliff overlooking the ocean, the hotel itself is a work of architectural genius. With non-slip stone on everything, rooms with hand-built wooden furniture, views that will take your breath away no matter where your room is located, and a feeling that every single stone, log, tile was placed intentionally. It's considered a world standard for a reason. One important note: being on a cliff, there's a bit of walking required. If you have mobility issues, you should definitely alert the staff when you book, and they'll ensure your room doesn't require too much movement. For getting to and from the beach (at the bottom of the cliff) there are on-demand busses which will whiz down and scoop you up. The Food & Drink The food here is truly world class, and if you're doing the All Inclusive, the meals are generous and ever-flowing. Pro-tip: every single salad on the menu will be one of the freshest, crunchiest salads you've ever tasted. They grow most of their own produce and other kitchen staples in their 100 acre farm! Drinks are equally fresh, and I highly recommend the Frozen Coco Loco! Also, the breakfast buffet every morning is a fun and fresh way to wake up, with buffet fresh fruits, juices, breads, cheese, smoked salmon, oatmeal, and more... you can pair this with a larger breakfast item like an omelette if you want! The Beach This beach is... there's no where else on earth quite like it! You won't get those white sand beaches you get from coral islands (This is a volcanic island) but the sand is still soft and pebbly with only a small ridge of larger stones as you enter into the water. The water is extremely warm this time of year. There are also first-come-first-serve little beach-hut type situations, which feature two lounging beach chairs and a large cover from the shade. The towel service will get you all set up each morning, and you can camp out on the beach all day with drinks and snacks flowing from a dedicated waitstaff on the beach. Returning Guests Also, though we didn't know this when we were booking, they HOOK IT UP for returning guests. They truly remember you from trip to trip, and if you come more than once you're treated like an integral part of the Anse Chastanet circle! We got a beautiful room upgrade just for returning, and many other little treats and comp'ed surprises. We can't wait to come back for our THIRD trip soon! The Staff Finally, and I truly mean this, the number one reason to come to Anse Chastanet is the staff. From the waitstaff to porters to management, this is a truly special group. Everyone is so warm and welcoming and attentive. Be nice to them! Talk to them! Get to know them! Ask how their day's going! They're wonderful and so nice, and when you develop a rapport with the staff you'll have the experience of a lifetime! They're all so nice and work so hard, and deserve all the accolades, respect, and TIPS! Special shout out to: Peter Jean Paul the manager (his intro tour of the property is a MUST), Marilyn and Zephrita who work at the restaurants (and the rest of the lovely waitstaff), Lovence the porter, Sakey the art teacher (who's murals grace pretty much all of St. Lucia, and who teaches classes every tues and weds!), and Junior from the beach-side towel and setup crew! I could go on and on, but if you've read this far you know just what an impact this beautiful resort has had on us. They've done such a wonderful job, and have made lifelong guests out of us! We can't wait for trip number 3 (and 4, and 5, and...)

Great service, very friendly staff, good food. The downside was a swelteringly hot room with no ventilation. The bathroom was even hotter. After a shower, it was unbearable. While we enjoyed our visit, the hot room made our stay regrettable.

Anse Chastanet was the perfect place for us to spend the second half of our honeymoon! The resort is ideally located for a mix of fun activities and relaxation. Some of the best snorkeling we’ve experienced right off the beach just steps away from our room. The service from the staff was excellent, as everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying our stay and had everything we needed. In particular, Kerwin & Thaddeus (sailboat captains), Francis (kayak guide) and the whole reception team were AWESOME! The food was awesome in general, with plenty of variety and great daily specials at the Balawoo restaurant. Our particularly memorable meals at the resort were the butter chicken at Apsara, the gourmet burger at Anse Mamin beach (great after hiking the pitons!) and the Caribbean jump up buffet at the main beach restaurant.

Booked a day pass at the resort here as we were staying in the southern part of the island without a beach. The day pass did not disappoint- we were able to have two chairs and a straw hut, food and drinks, with restroom access. Beach was awesome- clear warm...

The day pass did not disappoint- we were able to have two chairs and a straw hut, food and drinks, with restroom access. Beach was awesome- clear warm water and areas for snorkeling. Food and drinks were great and came right to our beach chairs. Sylvia took care of us on the beach and was amazing!!! The rest of the beach team was great too- checking in if we needed anything! Thanks for the great hospitality on our last beach day Sylvia!!!

This was nearly such a great holiday, but because it was so close to being good it made it all the more disappointing. The Positives The staff were generally great, polite, friendly and efficient. The beach umbrellas were fantastic, with plenty to go round. No early morning reservations needed here....

The beach umbrellas were fantastic, with plenty to go round. No early morning reservations needed here. The loungers were comfortable. The beach staff come along and get you set up with towels when you arrive each day. The beach itself was well maintained with no rubbish. The setting was pretty, with a lot of wildlife and plants. The beach staff were excellent, just put out your flag and they take the order, then bring the food and drink to your lounger. You just sign to charge it to your room. The maids/housekeeping were good, but room did need a deep clean! We stayed in a beachfront room, which meant we had air conditioning. The facilities in the room were good. The shower was the best we’ve ever had on holiday, and it didn’t leak all over the rest of the bathroom. Toiletries, hairdryer, torch all provided. There was a very large balcony with seating. Slightly strange set up as the kettle and fridge were on the balcony. Also there are both UK and US plugs, but not loads of either. We found taking a four way extension lead and a 2 pin adapter meant we had more flexible charging arrangements. Breakfast was really good, with a full selection of continental buffet to choose from and cooked dishes ordered from the menu. Some of our other meals were delicious. The hotels daily free activities were fun and enjoyable, we tried mixology, chocolate testing and a history/nature walk. There are also plenty paid activities as well as off-site excursions. The negatives The bed in our room was uncomfortable, the mattress appeared to offer no support. There was building noise directly outside, which meant that we couldn’t go back to the room during the day and chill. The room was set amongst the gardens with trees all around, however as we had an upper floor room this resulted in almonds and other objects falling on our roof several times each night, which was disturbing and scary. There are no phones, or Televisions for that matter, in the rooms, which is fine, I don’t want to watch TV anyway. However, you are given a mobile phone to use to contact the hotel, if you want to use the shuttle to get around etc. This is quite a large brick of a phone which you then have to carry everywhere, which we found annoying, especially as when we did try to utilise it nobody answered. As we were trying to go to dinner one night our safe refused to lock, the hotel couldn’t fix it until the following day, so we ended up taking passports, iPad etc to dinner with us. The Cove was really busy with lots and lots of boat traffic, it certainly is not a peaceful relaxing location. Some days there were quite a large number of cruise ship day pass guests using the beach, restaurant and bar area. There were quite a few jellyfish in the sea, and there were lots of times we got stung, painful but harmless. We didn’t feel like going into the water as much as we might have done elsewhere. We don’t usually use a pool, as we prefer the beach, however I think I missed having a pool as an alternative on this occasion., there aren’t usually any creatures in the pool. Probably the worst issue we had was the food. I have dietary restrictions due to a medical condition. The hotel assured me before booking that they could cater for these. It all started well with a meeting with the chef and a meal on our first night. Unfortunately the second night didn’t go so well. As an apology we were offered a special meal, which also went spectacularly wrong. Food just became hard work, we did have some absolutely lovely meals but I think anxiety over the meals just made it difficult to relax and kick back.
