Absolutely unbelievable! Do not stay just one night here. We stayed at 6 beautiful lodges and hotels throughout our luxury stay in Tanzania and nothing compared to our stay here! The attention to detail and level of service is unparalleled. Our butter George was perfection.

We've traveled all over the world and stayed at many nice places. We were only here for 1 quick night, but this place makes the top 5 nicest places. The room was simply amazing, with the best views. The staff were superb and the one meal we had was most delicious. I only wish we had more time here, they made our stay even more special with an arrival bubble bath ready and dinner flowers. Special thanks to Saibel our waiter and room attendant. We will be back, and stay for several nights.

Amazing lodge! I can’t put into words how incredible and special this place is. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The entire staff was incredibly kind, hospitable, attentive and welcoming. In particular, Safari enriched and augmented our experience every step of the way, always going above and beyond. In addition, the chef, Edgar, created a new delicious menu every day. All the food was amazing! The lodge itself is stunning, with truly breathtaking views as a backdrop. Our bedroom was beautiful and very spacious. The common areas were equally stunning, with amazing areas to unwind and relax after your game drive. It is the perfect location to explore the Crater. Highly recommend this wonderful lodge!

This Lodge must be one of the finest in the World (my wife and I have travelled to approx. 80 countries). Absolutely impeccable service by all staff members. Sublime location. Exquisite dining. Splendidly squeaking, wooden floors under bare feet in room. Wonderful "rose petal bath" in room. Roaming buffalos on the night path to room. View from the toilet seat in a class of its own. Nice with fire in the room stove each evening. Competent guides, if game drives are your wish -- we are more inclined to birds and butterflies. All in all: a most rewarding four days. This lodge is amazing! The room was beautiful and the whole staff was outstanding. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the staff with a welcoming song. Our guide Kitoi was amazing, spent the whole day in the crater and had a delicious breakfast and lunch in the bush. The food is extremely good. Our butler, Dennis and housekeeper Kilatya were also amazing. They made sure to take care of anything we needed, coming back from a full day at the crater we came to our room to find the beautiful tub ready to go with thousands of rose petals, it was very romantic. Highly recommend this lodge! To the whole staff, Asante Sana!

The best lodge in Tanzania. Fantastic view from the top of the mountain, a very comfortable suits with authentic decorations and fine dining. We were here with my wife in November 2023 and both were very charmed by this hotel. Definitely ecommended!

This was our last stop on our trip to Kenya and Tanzania, and a perfect bookend to the journey. Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is luxury all the way and the views of the vast crater are phenomenal. Noel took us on a game drive for most of the day we spent there and we saw flamingos -- a box we had not yet ticked -- and what a beautiful pink sight along the shores of Lake Magadi at the bottom of the crater! We also managed to catch a couple rinos in the distance and loads of antelope, elephant, hippos, wildebeest, zebra, rare white pelicans and a python (!!!). The food is 5* and the rooms so so comfortable. At night, the Cape Buffalo come right up to the lawns at the Lodge and graze. We loved it! A fairytale ending.

We have never felt so special in our entire lives. We actually celebrated our 45th anniversary while at this property. To sum up our entire experience here, is to say it was magical. Albin, Peter and all other staff are so special. We arrived late afternoon after a full day on Safari, and were tired and wanting to get cleaned up. Cannot describe the feeling of walking into our accommodation to a beautiful fire in the fireplace, and a warm bubble bath awaiting in the free standing tub. The beds and pillows were perfection. The food and special service we had was….what can I say, it too was perfection. I wish everyone could be blessed enough to experience this beautiful property.

I had been looking forward to visiting the crater and staying at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge after viewing their website, Instagram photos, and YouTube videos. However, when we arrived, we were taken to Tree Camp (there are 3 sections to the Lodge and Tree is more secluded). The rooms there are not what are pictured in brochures. The room was small, dark, no free standing tub with chandelier, and our room (26) did NOT have the view that others had shared. The view was of trees and leaves! My heart sank, this was a 10 year anniversary celebration trip and our last stop after a 2 week safari. Additionally, we were told our guide (Noel) wasn't going to be taking us to the crater the next day (we planned a full day safari with him when he met us at the airport). We went to Tree Camp's dining area (which was beautiful and IS pictured in their brochure). We met our new guide who told us we were going for a half day safari and we weren't leaving until 8 a.m. because we were going with another couple who didn't want to get up early! I was "BEYOND" UPSET! Everything I read said to go early (6 a.m. or so) as the crater gets crowded with daytrippers later. I expressed my displeasure to the management and emailed my travel agent who works extensively with NCL. Somehow, they found a way (after being told it wasn't possible) to move us to North Camp AND we went with our wonderful guide, Noel, at 6 a.m. for a full day game drive. We were even able to witness a lioness take down a wildebeest on that full day game drive. In the end, everything worked out and was 5 STARS - service, food, room, view, trip to crater, etc. I recommend having your travel agent make a note that you don't want Tree Camp (if you're expecting what is pictured). I’m attaching photos of our original room in Tree Camp (#26) and of our new room in the North Camp so you can compare. Photos below are of Tree Camp room for you to compare.
