The resort is beautiful -- wonderful setting, gorgeous rooms and pool area. When we entered, we were greeted by a very attentive and enthusiastic staff. Max at the reception desk was particularly helpful. Parking valets and bellmen were also great. We had a junior suite, with a large bedroom, two baths, and a large sitting room. All good -- but, two problems. The water in the shower cut off after 2-3 minutes. You can hear it backflow, and in about 30 seconds, it starts to flow again and build up pressure. This happened throughout our two day stay. Second -- the air conditioning is not sufficiently powerful to cool the rooms, even though the temperature outside was only in the high 70's F (24-5 C). The second night of our stay we had dinner in the hotel. While the food was good (rack of lamb and John Dory Filets, excellent), the service - at least at our table -- was excruciatingly slow. Other tables turned over 2 -3 times, while we sat. We only had a main course and desert, but the meal dragged on for two hours, in spite of subtle hints. Also disappointing were the wine pours. The waiter poured 3/4 of an inch ( about 2 cm) of wine in a medium sized glass. I noted this was a small pour, and the response was, "sorry." The wine cost 8 Euros a glass. Dinner, including ice cream, graniti and coffee, was 124 Euros. The dinner experience was very disappointing. All in all, I would give the resort 3 1/2 stars,

The hotel its self is generally very good. The Rooms The rooms are large and comfortable and we had the added bonus of a big sun terrace with loungers on it. The bathroom is also a good size and has a separate bath and shower. The only small annoying thing we found with the room is the hand soap is in a shampoo style bottle with no pump. Housekeeping The housekeeping service was always efficient. They watch when you go out for breakfast and the room was normally done by the time we got back so there was minimum interruption. There was also a turn down service each day. The room was always cleaned to a high standard, no complaints here! Reception Staff The reception staff were always incredibly friendly and helpful. We would particularly mention Veronica who really went above and beyond to give us advice in respect of local places to go. The Location The hotel is really in the middle of nowhere and you can’t get anywhere without a car. There is a local town about 15 minutes drive away, however it’s a bit shabby and has a little bit of an edge to it. It’s not unpleasant as such but it’s not the nicest place I’ve been either. Sicily is quite poor and a lot of the local towns are very run down. Breakfast The breakfast food was ok with a large selection of different items. The cakes were particularly good. The service lets it down somewhat. We were always seated quickly but it always took a while to order anything and when you did order it, it took a long while to come. Some of the staff were very nice and others had a bit of an attitude. Pool Restaurant The food at the pool was by far the best of the hotels offerings, food wise. There is a good selection of tasty items and for hotel, reasonably priced. Dinner Restaurant Dinner is ok, but just ok. We had decent food and the service was quick, although some of the staff have the same attitude issues as at breakfast. However, you can get much better food in the local town for half the cost. The Spa The spa was excellent. The facilities are fantastic from an indoor pool, to Turkish baths, ice baths, steam rooms and saunas - some of the best facilities of any hotel - and all available for free. The spa staff are incredibly professional and helpful. We had a couple of wonderful spa treatments also - great massages at very reasonable prices. The spa is definitely one of the best element of the hotel. The Pool The hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool. The indoor pool was very warm, perhaps a bit too so. However, it was a good size. The outside pool is also large and has ample seating spread out around it so you are never fighting for sun beds! The Gym The gym is very basic and a bit warm as there wasn’t proper air con but it’s ok for a very limited work out. The Mosquitos They were everywhere! - we got about 15 bites each and it somewhat ruined our holiday. This was a common problem that all of the guests we spoke to were complaining about. The hotel does provide repellant but it doesn’t seem to really work. We were at the hotel in September and I’m not sure if this is an all year round thing or just seasonal but it was one of the worst places I’ve been to from a mosquito point of view. Conclusion The hotel is generally very nice, although the dining, the location and most importantly the mosquitos let it down somewhat!

This hotel is off the beaten path, about an hour to Palermo and not on the coast. However, we booked because of the beautiful pools, luxurious spas, and private beach access (by car or free shuttle). The hotel was almost perfect, minus the service and food at the restaurant. The food was good enough, however much better options in the town of Mazara for much better prices. We would have eaten at the hotel restaurant more than once had the service been better. The service was slow and dismissive - we sat down for dinner around 8pm and were not finished until almost 11pm. All courses took forever and the staff seemed angry that we bothered to come to the restaurant in the hotel where we were staying. We also had a disastrous room service experience with pizza we had to send back (tomatoes in the sauce were overly sour). I have never sent back food in Italy, let alone a pizza. Despite the poor dining experiences, everything else was wonderful. The desk staff were friendly and helpful and the spa was incredible. The spa staff took the time to thoroughly explain and recommend treatments which is why I returned more than once. The massages were top tier and relaxing, all in a clean and modern facility. I would return here, just skip the restaurant.

We returned after an amazing week in 2023 shortly after they opened/new management. Our thoughts on the unreal service were backed up when a very close friend booked completely independantly and by chance we both said what an amazing time we had had in Sicily. They like us are returning this year. The Spa has now been completed and is one of the best we have experienced anywhere in the world. Its relaxing, lovely vibe and alot of time, effort and money invested. The personal service from all the staff is second to none and food great. Breakfast you genuinley just cannot ask for any more choice! Lunch we generally dont do anyway, dinner was mix of the main restaurant which is pricey but lovely to sit outside and fish is very fresh. We also had room service and sat on the terrace one night, bar food was great whilst watching the Euros and drive to local towns also very easy (hire car best way to get there from airport then use to get out an about). We partook in some of the organised events, wine tasting and night of music and dancing with a great buffet in their wedding venue. We needed a chilled out rest after a traumatic year and Alberto and his team came up trumps again. Would we go back? As ever depends on cost and if the hotel offers the same value as this year with the amazing food and service then we'd be mad not to!

We stayed for a week at the Almar, on the whole a really great trip. Pros: - service was for the most part really good, could be a little bit hit or miss when they were busy in the pool bar particularly and at breakfast. - the spa is amazing, stunning facilities and we had great massages. - the pool area was great, very comfortable, towels provided, never difficult to find a lounger. - there’s plenty to see and do in the nearby Mazara and other towns to take a trip out to and plenty of places to eat in Mazara. - the turn down service from the cleaning staff was exemplary Cons: - We felt the food and drinks were quite overpriced for what they were and the quality could have been improved for the prices they were asking for - as mentioned service could be a little bit hit or miss for example forgetting items we had asked for at breakfast or waiting for upwards of 20 minutes just to be given a menu in the pool bar - the private beach is quite small and seemed to be undergoing improvements when we visited which resulted in some construction noise. Great that they were improving it but we felt that they advertised the beach to have better facilities than they did. The hotel is around 20 minutes away from nearby Mazara by car and there is nothing else close by, so if you choose to stay here you really need to have a car. A taxi to Mazara and back for the evening for dinner cost €50, which we felt was likely them playing up the price as the hotel is the best in the area. We had a hire car which cost us €40 to fill up with fuel at the end of the week and we made great use of everyday.

We were there for a week as a couple here is how I felt of the stay: Pros: The spa is 5* and this is what makes the hotel. Antonio did cater for my needs with my dietary requirements and Filipo had excellent services. Cons: The rest of the service was very hit or miss, inconsistent with the food and it did become boring since we were there for a week the menus were the same. The room we were in had mosquitos and we did get bitten and woke up in the middle of the night itching. Our bath was leaking which meant our bathroom floor was wet The language barrier was a big issue with ordering or just asking for basic help For a "5*" There was no over and beyond in terms of service I felt like the staff at the reception were rather rude, we needed help on our last day since we accidentally spilt water in my hubby's backpack, we needed tissues, reception staff wanted nothing to do with it like not even helping us. Very cold feeling. I also dealt with my first encounter of racism from other Italian tourists, so just be aware of this. I do not recommend. I was actually fooled by the reviews on trip advisor to visit so make sure you research before you go.

We stayed at Almar Giardino di Costanza Resort & Spa for 7 days half board through Secret Escapes. From start to finish our holiday was first class! We have never stayed at a place like it …beautiful surroundings, huge spacious tastefully decorated room, amazing staff, delicious food. All the staff were so friendly and helpful …the reception staff organised a private taxi for us to go on a late afternoon excursion to Marsala and to see the sunset at The Salt Mines. The spa staff advised which treatments would be best for us ..the treatments were brilliant. Well worth a visit. My husband turned 60 while we were there and the restaurant staff organised a cake for him!! Chocolate cake for breakfast …a first time for everything and it was yummy! Everything was immaculate…staff, the hotel, poolside, sun loungers, towel folding, spa facilities, and gardens. Food was amazing!! We have never had such a chilled holiday..we loved every minute. If you get the chance please go!

The Almar Giardino di Constanza Resort & Spa was our second stop on our 10-day trip to Sicily. We had 3 nights here and should have saved the best until last - it was amazing. We stayed in a Garden View Junior Suite and our rate included Breakfast. From the minute we drove up to the hotel to the minute we left, we were treated so well. On arrival the porter unloaded our luggage while we checked in. We were shown straight to our room and our luggage was already there. The car had also been parked for us. The room was large and luxurious and the bathroom was exceptional. Each morning we returned after breakfast to find that the room had been cleaned already - very efficient. Breakfast was buffet style and taken on the terrace. We were greeted enthusiastically each morning by all of the staff. The breakfast selection was good as was the coffee and the request for an extra shot in my wife's cappuccino was remembered the next morning. We had lunch by the pool on two occasions both of which were excellent. On the second occasion we opted to share a Club Sandwich due to the size of the portions and this was not a problem. In fact, nothing was a problem at this hotel! We had dinner on our first and last night and both meals were exceptional, as was the service. We also sat outside the bar area for pre and post dinner drinks and again, the service was excellent. The bar prices were high but not unexpected given this level of hotel. The pool area was a delight with plenty of umbrellas and towels. The additional service of chilled water melon in the afternoon was very welcomed as was the poolside bar service. The Reception Staff were always on hand to help, especially on the evening we had problems with our return taxi from Mazarro del Vallo. The taxi driver didn't arrive and when we called there was a language barrier. We called the hotel and the lady on reception dealt with it immediately. In addition, my wife had left her sunglasses in the taxi on the outward journey and the Reception Team retrieved them the following day. They were so helpful. As already stated, all of the staff at this hotel are excellent but we would like to give a special mention to our waiter Felippo who was so attentive and friendly. Also, a mention for Antonio who makes a great "Maestrale" (Limoncello Spritz)!

This is a fabulous spa hotel in a very peaceful location with excellent facilities on site, all that you would expect of a 5 * hotel. The pièce de résistance is, without a doubt, the Staff who were consistently friendly, helpful and genuine...only once before have we experienced such outstanding service in a hotel; from the front desk and Spa staff and those we interacted most often with in the dinning room...Antonio, Philippo, Salvatore, Maria & Roberta but all staff were excellent and we felt valued and welcome. Another reviewer said they felt like part of the family and that is a very good analogy. We were here for 9 days, half board and would certainly recommend this option, the food is excellent, plentiful and superbly presented. We were particularly impressed that our wedding anniversary was acknowledged with a delicious decorated chocolate cake after dinner...very much appreciated. We chose not to hire a car as our intention was simply to relax, if you wanted to see more of Sicily you would need a car but we were happy to just enjoy the facilities of the hotel with a visit to the hitel private beach. Thoroughly recommend for a relaxing break in the sunshine with superb food and truly excellent staff.

An absolute gem of a hotel. The service is out of this world. The spa is incredible and beautiful, with a 20m indoor pool. Only 10 minutes from the local town. Food is great, although it would be even better if there were more options. Would definitely visit again.
Wonderful place, fabulous people gorgeous.

What an amazing oasis with the most outstanding staff! Gorgeous hotel, fabulous facilities and the staff make it perfect so helpful and friendly. The food is amazing and nothing is too much trouble. If you cannot find something you fancy ask and the chef is amazing and adaptable, his sweets are incredible. Spa treatment outstanding too. A huge thank you to Sophia who helped us when we could not find them on arrival also to Antonio, Salvatore, Maria, Lisa, Filipe, Alecia, Laura, Gianluca and to everyone else as well you really make the hotel, without all of you it would be nowhere near as good. My one suggestion would be to treat the water in the water feature and provide citronella candles. Sadly I’m one of those people that mosquitos like to make a meal of. However thank you Maria for giving me a bug spray to help and it did. Highly recommend a visit here, rooms spacious, bathroom’s fabulous and whole hotel a delight. Recommend a car as slightly remote but loads of things to see locally, Segesta, Mazara, Salemi all lovely. Also treat yourself to a room with large terrace and sun beds a great treat.

We recently spent one night at Almar Giardino while on a tour of Sicily. The hotel is off the beaten track for sure, so I'm not sure where or why most guests are there, but it was a great location for us for one night in between sightseeing destinations. We were there on the first night the hotel was open for the season, so there were very few guests, but the staff was totally trained and ready to deliver. We were greeted warmly, including by the Manager. Our room was enormous and in perfect condition (bathroom too) with a small balcony and view of the pool. We had dinner at the hotel and it was excellent, with very attentive service. (The only issue is that we each ordered a glass of wine and when they poured that glass, they gave us each about 1/8 of a glass.....a very small pour!) The breakfast buffet was enormous and well-kept, again with attentive service. There's are many outdoor seating areas and a huge pool, so when the weather is warmer, it'd be a great area. If your travels in Sicily find you near the Almar, it's definitely worth staying.
