Oh dear, I don’t even know where to start! Alila Uluwatu is absolutely spectacular—every single moment at this hotel blew my mind in the most fantastic way. My wife and I are newly married, and Bali is our honeymoon destination for 7 days. During our trip, we’ve stayed at some of Bali’s top hotels, including Kempinski, Cyrus, and Komune. We also visited The Edge and Potato Head for sunsets and beach clubs. Before this, back home in Hong Kong, we’ve stayed at luxury hotels like the Regent and the Upper House. But honestly, nothing compares to Alila Uluwatu. From the moment we arrived, the breathtaking views captivated us. The edge views, the infinity pool, the elegant design with marble and stone—it’s all simply unbelievable. Every corner of this hotel is an Instagram-worthy spot! The staff here are incredible—super friendly and warm, yet professional. They encouraged us to treat the hotel as our home, but trust me, it feels even better than home. They’re attentive, helpful, and solve any questions or requests in no time. There are so many unforgettable moments during our stay: - The check-in process was seamless, handled by staff who were friendly, calm, and reassuring, without being overly talkative or intrusive. They made us feel immediately at ease. - During dinner, our waitress not only provided excellent service but also gave us great tips and suggestions for our meal. The food was absolutely amazing, and she even helped us take some sweet and memorable photos of our dinner. - A special shoutout to Ona, the photographer who helped us with a complimentary 30-minute post-wedding photoshoot. Ona was so kind and talented, capturing the most stunning shots of us and the hotel’s incredible views. I’m honestly sad that we only stayed here for one day. I wish we had booked more nights at this paradise! Next time, we’ll return with our family and stay much longer. Thank you, Alila Uluwatu, for making our honeymoon so magical. This hotel is beyond perfect, and we can’t wait to come back!

Incredible hotel. We spent few days here to relax after being in the busier parts of Bali. The pool and communal areas as immaculate and as good in real life as in the photos. The staff are incredibly attentive but not overbearing. The food is also delicious. The room was spacious, clean and modern. Treats and water is left with daily room service and turn down. The private pool was the best and largest we have seen. It is also in an excellent location, about 10-15 minutes from most of the beach clubs and restaurants. We absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend it. It’s probably targeted more towards couples than young families.

We had a wonderful time at the Alil resort! It is such a beautiful setting with water features everywhere and great food at the restaurants. Most of all, all the people were welcoming and smiling, and Dedek, the butler for our group was so helpful, especially a couple of times that I left something in the room, and he went after them for me. First rate experience all around!

One of the best resorts we've ever stayed in. -- BEWARE THE STAIRS!!

This place is even better than the pictures show. It's like a Bond villain lair in a good way. Be sure to watch the Story of Kecak Dance during dinner. - The staff are incredibly generous and ready to serve in any way. Can't believe how nice everyone is. -- Now, onto the warning: the 600 steps down to the ocean are no joke. We walked 500 steps down in good weather in the daylight, and turned around before going the last 100 steps. Those last 100 steps are wet with green leaves on them. And there's no handrail nor wall on either side of the steps. If you fall, you will FALL far and hard. -- On day three (today), we had a couples massage booked that was to be in a cabana that's just 65 steps down that trail from the top. We figured it would be no problem since we'd done 500 steps down and 500 steps up two days ago. But it rained last night, and my wife was wearing sandals today. (These steps are a combination of wood (old, warn, and splintered) gravel, stone, and ants (yes, ants). We got 50 steps down, and down she went. Bashed up her arm and ankle. We bailed out of the massage in the cabana and limped her back up to the spa lobby. The staff rushed to help her and bandage her up. They were SO good to her. She ended up getting the massage in the spa just avoiding her right arm and right ankle. She's so fortune that she didn't fall forward down those steps. -- Also the monkeys along those steps look like they want to fight you. Don't look them in the eye, and do not smile and show your teeth. Seriously don't. Also, Cabana-3 is the ideal cabana by the pool. You can reserve it and use it for no charge. In Vegas that cabana would cost you $2,000 for the day. One of the best resorts we've ever been to. The only place that tops it is the Blue Lagoon resort in Iceland, and this beats it for service.
