Food is yummy, all cuisines are very good. They have good vegetarian options. Staff is welcoming, helpful and decent. Beaches, white sand, palms, orchids, all around flowers and vegetation is visible. Japanese cuisine and desserts are a must try here.

The food is good but had a few issues with nuts being served despite advising of an allergy. At times the staff can be extremely slow in serving at meal times. A private party of 600 people on the island did ruin one night (was told it was a one off) other than that would certainly return!!

The hospitality was awesome. The staffs were friendly. All arrangements were made prior to my arrival via email to adhere to my special requests for my wife's birthday and Valentine's day together. Their response were fast and effective.

After a good amount of research, we chose Adhaaran Prestige Vadoo. The resort experience was absolutely fantastic. The staff are absolutely kind, hard working and always greeted us and checked on us. The water villa was beautiful with a nice dipping pool. They even provide snorkeling equipment for no additional cost. They have a beautiful spa and the couple massage was nice. The resort island can be covered by just walking. Thé main bar gives a beautiful sunset view towards the evening. The beach bar is great during the day and the night post dinner. The pinacoladas were fantastic. We enjoyed the food here. Set menus are so much better than buffets. The premium all inclusive is totally worth it. The main dinning restaurant was definitely the best. The Japanese and Barefoot restaurant were a good change for a dinner venue. On checkout since we had to wait for a transfer they even offered beverages till the time the boat picks us up. The staff who made our experience amazing- Our Butler Saurabh made our trip great and was always available around the clock to assist us. Nalaka at the main restaurant was exceptional at his service skills. He enhanced our dining experience there. Also would thank the following attendees to make our stay great - velu, bhandhar, Nuah, Parintha.

This is a detailed review, but hopefully helpful for people! We stayed at Vadoo for a 2-night stop on our way to Sri Lanka. It was a bit of a last minute change to our itinerary and so we were looking for somewhere close to Malé (Vadoo is only a 15min speedboat ride in the resort’s own boat), that still met the things we know we like about a Maldivian resort - most importantly, a decent all inclusive dining package. I’ll admit that even though Vadoo ticked all the boxes, I was concerned about a few consistent themes in the negative reviews - issues with the attentiveness of the butler staff, slow service in the restaurant and the condition of the rooms. And so we arrived, slightly braced for these problems, accepting that it was only for a couple of nights and it would be ok. In reality though, these problems really couldn’t be less true. I don’t mean to diminish the experience of others - it’s possible they really did just get unlucky with the service. But it strikes me that what some people seem to see as ‘slow’ or ‘inattentive’ is actually just the relaxed pace of island living. You are on a tiny island in paradise, why do you need to rush through your meals?? We’re by no means seasoned Maldives people, but this was our fourth visit and fourth resort. I found nothing lacking at Vadoo compared to anywhere else we have stayed. From the moment we met our rep at the airport - who even noticed a tiny bit of twine on one of our suitcases and recognised it as being from one of their sister resorts (that we didn’t know was connected to them at the time of booking) - to the moment we left to continue our holiday, the staff at Vadoo did everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Which was no mean feat given we managed to be there for the first time it had rained in 3 months and it chucked it down most of the time! (Unlucky but very much not the hotel’s fault!). Room: We stayed in one of the honeymoon villas as these have larger deck areas for sunbathing (not that we were able to do much of this!) and are a shorter walk to the island. In fact, you can’t get a buggy on the jetty to these rooms but it’s only a couple of minutes walk. The room was very comfortable, clean and had a lovely welcome message laid out in palm leaves. The bathroom is enormous and has an outdoor hot tub/jacuzzi bath (sadly we couldn’t avail because of the weather). I’ve seen some people complaining about the condition of these and again, I find it difficult to agree. These facilities are over-water, outdoor on an island that experiences high temperatures and extreme wet weather. It’s hardly surprising that they might have a little wear - which is no different to other resorts we have stayed at. Dining: This is a really tiny island but still has 3 restaurants. We were only there for two nights and the weather was awful, so we had to give the barefoot seafood restaurant a miss. However, we ate at the Japanese restaurant on our second night and it was excellent. I’ve seen some people commenting that they went away hungry and I’m not sure how, unless the lunch menu is very different. We had sushi and tempura, followed by plentiful main courses and dessert. And all included in your package! Really worth going if you can. The main restaurant is also very tasty. It doesn’t have a buffet (which endeared it to us but I think maybe others find off putting) and instead has a daily changing menu (different at both lunch and dinner) with a choice of starters, soups, mains and desserts, as well as an Indian menu option. Everything we had was delicious, and contrary to criticism in other reviews, the leisurely pace of service was perfectly acceptable. But then we don’t go on holiday to rush through meals. Butler/staff: Everyone we interacted with on the island team was great - super friendly and keen to help. Our butler, Abdul, was brilliant and responded promptly to any requests we had. I’m sure he was also looking after a number of other rooms - the hotel was almost full at the time - but we never felt like he wasn’t there if we needed something. Overall, we’d happily come back to Vadoo (hopefully with better weather!) and it was perfect for what we needed on this trip. It’s not as luxury as some places we’ve stayed, but for this price it’s a great little island - and it really is very small so you need to decide if that’s for you or not - with lovely facilities and a brilliant team. Thank you to Abdul and the whole staff for giving us a lovely stay!

I’m not sure if we stayed in the same hotel as all these gushing reviews! We had a ‘good’ stay but the room and food offering really isn’t anything above average. The massive bathroom should be wonderful but it is old and in need of refurbishment, the window in the floor to watch the ocean was a great idea and no doubt looked fabulous when installed but now is shabby. The same is true of the room in general, everything dated and tired. The wine choices are good but the cocktails dreadful. Also very limited cocktail options despite the website saying more than 100 are available. We had a couple of great curries but it all got a bit samey. I also ordered a dish annotated as veggie but it came with chicken. Something I really wasn’t expecting was the hoards of people arriving as day guests. The island and infrastructure isn’t set up to cope with so many people. Not enough sunbeds, staff etc. it also totally ruined the tranquility with person after person traipsing past taking ridiculous amounts of selfies. The massages at the spa were amazing, really lovely and relaxing.

You could tell he has a pleasant demeanor and made reservations and set us up for our daily activities! The Sunset Villas were outstanding! Very roomy and lots of privacy! The small fresh water pool was very refreshing after a day on the beach! It was nice to go down our steps right into the water and snorkel. The variety of fish was breathtaking! One suggestions us to bring water shoes due to the coral! Also, a small floater is great to have to float on the water! Minor suggestions - we arrived at 6:30 am and came to resort at 7:30. If you arrive early they should have an area where you can shower and change clothes as room are not available until 2pm. 2nd - I did the morning fishing trip and I was to believe that we would be using their small fishing boat but instead we utilized the boat that they used for Sunset and Dolphin viewing. The boat was not setup for fishing! I was out 3 hours and did not even get a bite. There wasn’t even a rod holder and if you are trolling you should have a place to put the rod! The pictures if the fishing trip were very misleading! It was an expensive excursion with really bad results. I would not recommend the fishing excursion! I understand fishing can be hit or miss but you should have proper boat etc.

Unbelievable views , food, service and people. I stayed here with my wife and we celebrated our 20th anniversary, the staff made us feel like rock stars. The rooms are very big and the pool on the deck is a favorite for sunsets. The facilities are super clean. Absolutely incredible!

My husband and I just returned from an amazing 9 day stay at the Adaaran Prestige Vadoo. We had a fabulous holiday! I hope this review helps you decide to visit this magical island! Airport check-in 8/10 We were greeted at the airport and our bags were tagged. We were asked to wait by the food court until another couple joined us. This took roughly 40 minutes. It was warm, but not unbearable. We grabbed a few bottles of water for $1 each at the restaurant. We were taken to the boat, and off we went! The ride to the island took roughly 15 minutes. Resort check-in 10/10 We were greeted at the jetty with a group of employees who assisted us. We then ventured into the main bar and were given a few cold drinks. The staff gave us an overview of the island and we met our amazing butler, Abdull. Abdull took us on a quick tour of the island (it is super small) and then straight to our room. It was ready by 11am! We stayed in room 810 which is an overwater sunset bungalow. This was a perfect location because it was a short walk to the island. Our room 8/10 Our room (810) was lovely! The bed was quite comfy, and we had a perfect view of the clear ocean water. Two robes, slippers and raincoats were available. The shower is quite small and for the first few days we didn’t have hot water. This was resolved right away after we told Abdull. We didn’t use the jacuzzi, but several couples we met used it daily and really enjoyed it. We had two sinks, and some toiletries were included (toothbrush/toothpaste/sewing kit/nail files/shower cap/loofah). I loved the Elemis shampoo/conditioner, body wash and lotion! Great quality! The mini bar was stocked daily and included water, Tiger Beer, wine, champagne, juices, Pringles, and Mars candy bars. I used the coffee machine daily (delicious). The glasses/coffee cups were not replenished daily. I washed mine out and used them again. If you want clean ones, ask your butler. *I gave the room an 8/10 because the AC wasn’t super strong. In the evening when I was getting ready for dinner, it was HOT in the bathroom! Using the hairdryer of course made it hotter. We should have asked Abdull to see if it could be fixed…our fault that we didn’t. Tip- bring a small travel fan to use while you are putting on make-up/doing your hair! Overall, I loved our room!! It was spacious and beautiful. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job! Shout out to them for our room decorations! The Beach/Pool 10/10 All I can say is WOW! The beach is breathtaking!! There were plenty of chairs and shade available. Lehero would help us reserve several chairs in the morning before the “day trippers” arrived! Thank you Lehero! The water was crystal clear and several shades of blue! You can see sea life from your chair! (sharks, stingray, jumping fish). I would recommend water shoes because the rough sand can be hard on your feet. The pool was a wonderful place to escape the sun in the afternoon. We were typically the only ones in it! The water was refreshing, and it was clean. Very picturesque. We LOVED snorkeling! This is one huge benefit of this resort! They have an amazing reef just a few feet into the ocean! You can rent (free) snorkeling equipment for your entire stay and keep it with you. TIP- bring a bag/mesh to keep it in! During our time snorkeling we saw turtles, sharks, stingray, eagle ray, and so many colorful fish! Tip- keep an eye out for the triggerfish! A friend we met was bit. Dive Shop/Snorkeling with the Sharks 10/10 Wow! What an adventure snorkeling with the nurse sharks! We absolutely loved this. This is NOT TO BE MISSED! It was $251 USD (for 2) which included GoPro video. It was a 45-minute boat ride to the snorkeling site, 45 minutes in the water, and then 45 minutes back to the resort. We got to snorkel with countless nurse and black tip sharks, stingray, and so many fish! It was incredible! Dhoni bar 10/10 Anishku and Mayank will make you a wonderful cocktail using premium liquor! Tip- you can order lunch here and they will serve it to you! I had the hamburger, Greek salad, and club sandwich. All were very tasty! One day from 11-11:30 they had a Thai cooking class and severed several delicious dishes. Another day they served miso soup. Tip- you need to ask the bartender or your butler what is planned for each day. There is nothing that tells you. You will miss these activities if you don’t inquire about them! In the evening, this bar typically becomes a “nightclub” with a DJ and a dancefloor. Some evenings also had a fire thrower, karaoke, Balinese dancers, and games. If you partake in hookah, you can enjoy this here. Main bar 10/10 This was my favorite place at the resort! We would arrive here nightly around 6:30 to enjoy some cocktails before dinner. Ismitha and Velu will take great care of you! Velu is the best mixologist and will make you amazing drinks! He kept surprising me with new cocktails! I do love their cosmopolitans! They also serve you some snacks to nibble on which was a nice touch. If you look into the water in the evening here, you will see many black tip sharks and large tuna! We even saw nurse sharks and eagle rays here too! The lower level has AC, but we preferred the top deck! Food 8/10 The main restaurant- We were happily greeted at the main restaurant each day by Nuha. She was the sweetest! Thank you, Nuha, for always welcoming us with your kind soul! We really enjoyed the food and service here. Please take care of George for us! We will miss him! (The heron that lives on the island)! Madhumali was a great server! My favorite dishes daily were the delicious soups! Do not miss out in ordering these because it is warm outside! They are so good! The menus change here daily so you will not be ordering the same dishes (besides at breakfast). Tip- try the Maldivian breakfast! It is so good! I also loved the beef yaki set! Tip- get the beef!! It was so flavorful! I got the kingfish one evening and didn’t care for it as it was tough and lacked flavor. We dined at the seafood restaurant one evening. We ordered the scallops (extra $20 USD) which I would highly recommend. I also ordered the tuna (rare), and it was still a little overcooked. The service here took a little bit longer, but we still enjoyed it. You are in the sand when you dine here! Anniversary dinner on the beach 10/10! Nazim and Abdull did a great job making this happen! It truly was so beautiful. We had a table with a lighted heart around it in the sand! It was very romantic, and the food was so good! Special Events 10/10 We were so lucky to be chosen by Lehero to participate in the Sri Lankan New Year celebration also known as Aluth Avurudu! It marks the transition of the sun from the House of Pisces to the House of Aries. This is when Sri Lankans have big traditional activities, feasts, and rituals! The Sri Lankan employees of the resort got together for this festival and performed several rituals (milk boiling symbolizing prosperity, and a warm welcoming space of love) and lighting candles (symbolizing good over evil and wealth). We dined on traditional Sri Lankan food and took some pictures with the General Manager of the resort! This was such an honor to be able to join them during this celebration! We were also chosen to participate in a resort “promo” and got pictures and video doing a wine tasting! This was fun! We were with another couple and Anishku served us wine while they did the photo shoot! We also got video and pictures at the main bar. I hope to see this in the resort’s socials soon! My husband and I had an absolute fabulous time on our honeymoon staying on this beautiful island! The staff is amazing! We loved Ismita, Anishka, Mayank, and Velu as our bartenders! Nazim was fabulous as was Simou. The spa treatments are top notch! We absolutely adored our time here and cannot wait to come back! The rooms are cleaned multiple times a day, and the excursions are easy to book. The menu changes daily and there are different options to choose from. The peacefulness of the island is something we both absolutely loved. If you like to snorkel there are amazing things to see right off of the beach and your villa. We loved the cool pool, and enjoyed seeing the sunrise in a sunrise villa. The main bar at cocktail hour is a where you will see plenty of sharks and wildlife! The beach bar is fabulous for the dj and live music. We really enjoyed eating dinner on the beach so did it twice. They set the tables up beautifully and the menu is always fresh! The food is fabulous! All in all, we miss it already and wish we could be back there. Thank you to the staff who made our stay absolutely one of a kind!

We came to Vadoo for our 10year wedding anniversay. The whole stay was out of this world. Amazing snorkeling and amazing bar / wait staff with a very special shout out for Sadhna (who went above and beyond, particuarly when she found out we had not been given our beach front donner) and Mayank who absolutely made our holiday special in every way! Along with all the staff at the Dohni Bar, including DJ Immy who topped our penultimate evening with our wedding song. The perfect sized island to experience the maldives. All the staff are so friendly and the dive crew were more than happy to chat and inform us about the amazing marine like you can find on the house reef, and the best places and times to spot them. Would highly recommend the main bat from 6pm onwards to see a large number of sharks and rays! Perfect for pre dinner drinks. We were also very luck to be here at a time when they were celebrating Sri lankan New Year, as well as a inter Island football tournament. So lovely to see the staff enjoying some down time after working so hard to make our stay unimaginably perfect.

We recently had an absolutely disgusting experience at Adaaran Prestige Vadoo. During a heavy downpour on a day trip, when several guests were forced to take shelter in a toilet area! the service hit rock bottom. Instead of helping, one of your bartenders, Priyantha, had the audacity to dismiss a call for assistance, claiming he wasn’t even responsible for helping guests (“its reception job”) and then had the nerve to shout, “Don’t ask me to do this stuff, you fu**ing bit**.” This abhorrent behavior is completely shameful. To make matters worse, after we lodged a complaint at reception that very day and sent multiple follow-up emails (even to Sanjaya Senanyake the general manager) complaints were completely ignored time and again. This place is run by unprofessionals and If you value even a shred of decency and professional service, steer clear of this disgraceful establishment. We plan to file a complaint directly to Maldives ministry of tourism with all the evidence we have from that day.

The light at different times of day was gorgeous, especially in the early morning. Sunrise from the deck was unreal, and the water was somehow a different color every hour. I also loved that we could hear the ocean all night long. It sounds silly, but that sound ended up being the thing I missed most after we left (besides the pool). This trip wasn’t loud or overly social—it was soft, easy, and exactly what we needed.

Ours had both a pool and jacuzzi, and the layout felt super private without being isolated. Snorkeling right from the deck was incredible—we counted over 30 types of fish. The sushi restaurant was a favorite, and whoever is baking the gluten-free bread deserves a medal. Honestly have no idea how they made it that good. Also appreciated the quick 15-minute boat ride from the airport—so easy. Staff were kind, the vibe was calm, and the whole place has a refined, boutique feel without trying too hard.

We had a private dinner on the beach, set beautifully under the stars, and enjoyed a delicious meal at the Japanese restaurant—both added something special to our stay. We also went on a sunset sea trip, hoping to see dolphins... but they clearly had other plans! Maybe they wanted us to come back another time. Oh—and I lost two hats to the ocean breeze. So ladies, a word of advice: bring hats with an elastic band or tie. I just hope the lady shark or seal who found them is enjoying her new beach look! If you're looking for calm, beauty, and a few unforgettable laughs, Adaaran Prestige Vadoo is absolutely worth it.

It was great experience at Adaaran Prestige Vadoo. The staff were amazing. They were so friendly. I really recommend it. It was fun out here. The beach is so clean. 24 hour butler service also available which helps a lot to figure out lot of things easily.

However, what unfolded during our two-day, one-night stay was a bitter disappointment, a series of managerial lapses that left us feeling disrespected and utterly neglected.Our ordeal began immediately upon touching down. After a long journey, we were inexplicably forced to endure a four-hour wait at the airport. Despite possessing confirmed hotel vouchers, we received no credible explanation for this prolonged delay. What was meant to be a seamless transition into paradise became an exercise in frustrating uncertainty. Our scheduled 2:00 PM check-in was consequently pushed back by 45 agonizing minutes, significantly eating into our precious vacation time. While an upgrade from a sunrise to a sunset villa was offered as compensation for this initial mishap, it could not fully erase the sour taste of a welcome that was anything but prestigious.The true nadir of our experience, however, arrived on our second day, fundamentally shattering our plans and enjoyment. With our $800+ full-board package, we had meticulously planned to savor lunch at your esteemed Japanese restaurant—a reservation we had carefully made and subsequently confirmed with both our butler, Abdullah, and the reception desk. That morning, after breakfast, we re-confirmed our lunch booking. We were explicitly informed that, following the 12:30 PM ferry, another boat transfer was available at 5:00 PM. Crucially, as lunch was our final meal within the package and the restaurant only opened at 12:30 PM, we specifically requested to be allocated to the 5:00 PM boat to ensure we could comfortably enjoy our meal. We were assured this was arranged.Everything seemed settled, allowing us to relax and look forward to our final culinary experience at your resort. This tranquility was brutally interrupted around 12:00 PM when our butler, Abdullah, delivered the shocking news: the 5:00 PM boat had been abruptly canceled due to an insufficient number of departing guests. The next available transfer, we were told, was not until 8:00 PM. This was a last-minute bombshell, delivered just as our intended lunch time approached, leaving us in an impossible bind as we had another boat to catch later that night for our subsequent resort.With barely fifteen minutes to spare, we were forced to abandon our carefully planned Japanese lunch and hastily opt for the 12:30 PM boat. Realizing the predicament, our butler suggested we grab something from the restaurant as a replacement. What we received was an insulting gesture: a paltry two sandwiches, a handful of french fries, and juice. This meager offering was a stark, almost mocking, contrast to the curated Japanese dining experience we had paid for and eagerly anticipated.We departed Adaaran Prestige Vadoo not with cherished honeymoon memories, but with a profound sense of disappointment and the distinct feeling that we were neither respected nor valued as guests who had paid a significant sum for a premium experience. The lack of proactive communication, the last-minute operational changes, and the wholly inadequate compensation for a lost meal amounted to a significant betrayal of trust. Our honeymoon began with an unnecessary struggle and ended with unfulfilled expectations, a stark reminder that even in paradise, poor management can cast a long, unwelcome shadow.

We stayed at over water villa at vadoo. Both me and my wife had an excellent time and enjoyed great food at the ‘kitajima’ Japanese restaurant. We only stayed for a day but we would really much like to come back soon
