Stayed at this wonderful hotel for our wedding anniversary celebrations and we were not at all disappointed with our choice of hotel. A warm welcome at the door from the very cheerful and helpful doorman & the friendly front desk gentleman. Laura the residence manager greeted us with a further warm welcome and throughout our stay was very helpful. From the staff serving breakfast to the amazingly informative bar manager who knew everything A-Z about whiskey it was such a fabulous breath of fresh air getting first class service with such a personal touch. This hotel has nailed it and set the bar! Fabulous rooms and personal touches which added to our anniversary celebrations and made our stay extra special. We will definitely be returning, and this will be our first choice hotel. Thank you for a fabulous stay providing the very best service we have encountered at any hotel we have ever stayed! Amazing decor, fabulous and tentative staff, great amenities and a warm Scottish welcome, excellent value for money.

100 Princes Street had the best service of any hotel we have ever been to! The hotel is gorgeous and centrally located, with a beautiful dining area that we went to daily for breakfasts, dinners, and drinks. There was a large storm that hit during our stay and the team here was so accommodating when we needed to extend our trip by an extra day and helped us arrange transport when our train was cancelled. Absolutely superb experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone!

This was one of our most memorable and enjoyable stays ever. The staff were amazing, from our arrival until we left. Their knowledge and love for their city is infectious and it was lovely to be welcomed back each time as a new friend. As might be expected the rooms were comfortable, clean and ours came with a fantastic view of Edinburgh Castle. Services and facilities were without fault. And though we didn’t book with breakfast we are very glad we took up the offer on the day we left as the full Scottish was excellent.

This hotel is relatively new the location great and it has beautiful Scottish decor, however the real jewel in its crown are the incredible staff who are 5*+. David the go to person for recommending excellent restaurants, Dermot very knowledgeable about wine Hannah Alistair and everyone else we came into contact with were extremely attentive. We arrived early afternoon for three nights in a cosy room, our case went to the room whilst we enjoyed the champagne and decided to use our £50 hotel voucher for a delicious lobster roll and beef toastie . We quickly unpacked as time was getting on, whilst doing so we received a call asking if everything was ok. We hadn’t had time to take in our surroundings as we were eager to go out so said yes it was fine. On returning I noticed a few hotel firsts for us. The wardrobe and drawers were inbuilt in the small bathroom, not ideal, but there was no other place due to the room size, two small bedroom windows were half covered with a blind and the rest frosted glass so no view out anywhere, no tea/coffee facilities apparently there are in other bedrooms but not the cosy - why? We requested a coffee machine one was brought to us. The cosy room was beautifully decorated but for its size and lack of a few things overpriced even with 20% off, especially as breakfast wasn’t included. We were aware that breakfast was £28 or £35 but it meant that we didn’t fully enjoy the hotel as breakfast was expensive bedsides which we didn’t want everything that was on offer. We did enjoy a few drinks in the bar the first evening. I also think certain rooms should be set aside as dog free although I had an email after our stay saying there were, I also received one prior to our stay saying they couldn’t guarantee dogs hadn’t been in any of the rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed Edinburgh and would return to 100 but not the same room and if there was a better offer on.

This is easily the best hotel stay of my life. I will never forget this experience and am so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here. We initially booked for 1 night as our last night in Edinburgh before flying home. We then decided to cut short our stay in Glencoe to allow for more time in Edinburgh. After checking in here, we added an additional night because it was so special. We opted for valet service since we hired a car for our drive around Scotland. For approximately 1 month prior to our arrival, 100 Princes Street was communicating with me about our needs during our stay. They make it very clear from the beginning you will have a wonderful stay and your experience matters to them. We called 15 mins prior or arrival as they requested, and they told us where to arrive (Castle Street) since you cannot pull up in front on Princes Street. We were blown away that not only had the door man was waiting for us to take the car and bring up our luggage, but also the front desk young woman was there to escort us on the short walk to the lobby. We felt like royalty! We were then escorted up to the Wallace lounge inside to have drinks and snacks while we finished the check in process. With 15 mins we were shown to our room. We were complimentary upgraded to a suite! The room was so lovely and cozy. They even ensure which type of pillow we preferred (down) and had a special cake made for our anniversary celebration. We opted for the breakfast to be included with our stay. Once again, the service experience is unmatched, and you are in for a real treat. Food was great! Staff made it clear from the moment we arrived that they could take care of any needs we had. They booked a cab to take us to our dinner reservation and arranged for our final transfer back to the airport. This hotel is so special. I will never forget the way they made us feel and how well they took care of us. In all my many years, nothing compares to the stay we had at 100 Princes Street.

100 Princes Street is elegant luxury. My wife and I traveled to London and Edinburgh for a week with another couple. We all expected that, when all was said and done, our experience in London would be the more memorable of the two. 100 Princes Street was having none of that, and provided us an experience against which any other fine hotel that we have stayed at pales in comparison. Every single aspect of the hotel is absolutely top-notch. The location, of course, is optimal, with a litany of shopping and fine dining options around every corner. And the hotel has incredible dining options in its own right. What impressed us the most was the staff's steadfast commitment to providing their guests an unmatched experience. I can hardly begin to describe the staff's kindness, knowledge of the area, and ready willingness to assist in any way they could. Whether we were looking for coffee, dinner, a night out, or alternate transportation to London when the trains stopped operating due to weather, the hotel's staff assisted at every turn. If everybody working in a service industry treated others the way that 100 Princes Street's staff treat their guests, the world would be a brighter place. Hats off to the entire staff--we will absolutely be returning for another stay at 100 Princes Street. My only warning is that if you stay at 100 Princes Street, the hotel's service will wait on you so steadfastly that you may forget you're not really royalty.

Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted and had our luggage taken to our room. The staff was nothing short of incredible, and covered every detail of our stay. We were taken to the Wallace (dining room) where we were served complimentary champagne as we looked on the view of the Castle. The room itself was comfortable and the personalization was very appreciated (a handwritten note and cake, as we were celebrating an anniversary). We decided to have dinner at the hotel as well, which was great. I really cannot say how impressed I was with this new hotel and while it was a short stay, I hope to return soon!

Best hotel stay I have ever experienced. Very friendly staff and extremely professional. Extremely comfortable room and facilities. Central location and just excellent experience. Best cocktail bar that is only exclusive to guests staying in hotel.
