Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa

This is a really nice resort for adults who want to have a good time for entertainment. The Nightlife and the pool parties are really really good you will not be bored. The buffet needs to be better we ate at Dreams Onyx which has more variety. They have absolutely no vegan options which is very disappointing after paying for All Inclusive Meals. I suggest bringing your own beach towel due to they have one Towel Hut which is way in the back that sits behind the main pool and it opens up at 8:30 a.m. so reserve your chair early for the 3:30 p.m. pool parties. The Saturday pool party is fantastic. The Saturday Night White Party is ALL THAT. The Staff is friendly and helpful.

Spent a week at this beautiful resort and absolutely LOVED it. The workers were all friendly. We enjoyed the beach grill and all the other great restaurants. We did Zumba on the beach and water aerobics in the pool. We watched several of the shows and spent a lot of the evenings hanging out with our favorite bartenders, Manuel and Anyelo. They were AMAZING!!!!!! We loved staring our day at the quiet pool bar with Alberto and the other great bartenders. Also, the security crew were fantastic! We loved everything about this trip!

I have been to this resort many times throughout the years considering Breathless my second home! We had an amazing stay at this adults-only all inclusive resort! The staff always makes us feel so welcome and they always do their best to make sure we have a memorable vacation! The resort itself is clean and well-maintained. The beach is gorgeous and there were always chairs available. Unfortunately, at the time we went, there was a lot of sargassum but that is mother nature. So, we enjoyed our time on the beach and went to cool off in the pool. The drinks were excellent at any place at the resort and the bartenders were always friendly and attentive. The entertainment and activities offered something for everyone, whether you wanted to relax or enjoy live music/dj, or participate in fun events offered by the entertainment staff throughout the day. There was aerobics, dancing, darts, cornhole, spanish lessons, olympic games, cooking demonstrations, painting, and so on! What truly made this trip special was the staff! There are so many amazing people here but some of our particular favorites were: Carlos- bellhop, always making sure we were taken care of with luggage and transportation, Willy-our butler, goes above and beyond in the Xhale club. Is always making sure any of our wants and needs are taken care of. Bartenders- All of them, and in particular, Enerjo from the xhale lounge, Murphy from the other xhale lounge, Daniel from the beach bar and Jose from the abyss bar, always making excellent drinks and keeping smiles on our faces. Our beach waitress ,Migdalis, who was always checking on us to make sure we were taken care of! Entertainment staff: Waldy, always friendly and professional, making sure we are enjoying ourselves. Bethony and Chris, always working for the entertainment team and were also so friendly and fun to be around. Esther, always pleasant, fun, outgoing and always ready to dance with us! Hottie, always including everyone and ready for dancing and always smiling. Espaghetti, so nice and always making sure everything on our vacation was going good. Shanthy, always so energetic and outgoing. You couldn't help but enjoy yourself around him! Rodrigo, so nice and also has a talent for singing! Alex from the coffee shop- we loved your cappuccinos every day!!! Looking forward to visiting the next time! We love you Breathless!!!

Returning for the second time to this beautiful property. We booked the Exhale Club level- DEFINITELY worth every penny! Our VIP Host Emilio was wonderful- he made us feel special everyday. He had coffee and champagne delivered to our room each morning. Now that’s proper way to welcome each day! We miss you Emilio!!! The sargassum was in the ocean, and deep on the beach-but the pools made up for it! We didn’t even miss the beach!! The service at the pools was friendly and prompt. We felt spoiled all day, and enjoyed the entertainment and dancing every night. This was a perfect girls getaway. Can’t wait to do it again!!

My husband and I just returned home from an amazing stay at Breathless Punta Cana! Having been here three other times we again reserved a room with Xhale Club status. We had a seamless checkin process, with a welcome beverage of the day! We were introduced to our incredible personal concierge, Elis, who went out of her way every day to make our experience exceptional! From a special Xhale dinner on our first night to introducing us to Richard who works the lunch at Sofritos (Xhake club only) and who is the manager of the French Restaurant Coquette, to daily in person and text hellos to share the days activities and to make sure our needs were met, Elis made us feel like family with VIP status! Now to rave about Richard: Richard made every lunch and dinner a special experience! I need to truly give an extra highlight to Richard’s exceptional hospitality! He was generous with his attention and time, introducing us to his wait staff (Breidi and Yuery- both amazing!) and Ruben, Coquette’s Sommelier! In addition to Richard and Elis, I’d also like to give a special shout out to the hostess of Sofritos and Coquette’s, Yeurilis (I apologize if I am spelling your name wrong as I only briefly looked at your name tag). She went out of her way to make us feel welcome by calling us by name, taking us to our reserved table at Coquette’s, not simply asking for our room number. Additional incredible staff: King was also a delight! She works the towel service at the pool and was always friendly and funny! Last but definitely NOT least, Dorkar- our wonderful housekeeping attendant! Dorkar- you made “coming home” to our room a wonderful experience. My family and I had an amazing stay at Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa. From the moment we arrived, the team at Amstar treated us wonderfully. The welcome at the resort was excellent, complete with mimosas and a warm greeting that immediately set the tone for our vacation. The resort itself is beautiful, and every staff member we encountered provided exceptional customer service. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my family and I were taken care of throughout our stay. A special shout-out to entertainer Shanty. He was incredibly friendly, full of energy, and an amazing dancer. His positive attitude made our experience even more enjoyable. He has so much talent and deserves great opportunities ahead. One of my favorite spots was The Nook—everything there was delicious! The food throughout the resort was excellent, and I honestly have no complaints about the dining experience. My only suggestion would be regarding the music. While I understand the resort caters to an international audience, there was a lot of repeated older English music. Being on a beautiful Spanish-speaking Caribbean island, I would have loved to hear more Dominican and Latin music to experience the local culture. Many visitors travel to destinations like Punta Cana to enjoy the unique atmosphere and culture, and the music could reflect that more. Overall, we had a fantastic vacation and would definitely return. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable! ❤️🌴☀️

I just went with a group of friends and had an excellent time. The activities and entertainment was the best I've had at any resort I have been to. It is definitely a party atmosphere with a lot of loud music. The food was good especially at silk city and the strip grill. The buffet was great in the morning. The bartenders at the lobby bar were great.

We loved our stay here, the staff make you feel like family. Alexander was our concierge and he was great! Always helped us with what was going on and sent champagne/cake to the room for my birthday! All of the entertainment was fun, we loved the neon pool party the most. Lot of food options, some great/some okay… hibachi was fun! we liked that you could be at dreams/breathless and try their food/ amenities. There was always something to do and you could also relax at the chill pool or beach.

cannot explain how much I wish I was writing to you on better terms. I am going to give you the events as they happened during our stay. We arrived on Monday 6/8/2026 and we were given a standard room. We asked for our upgrade, and we were given what I felt was a standard room in the Xhale building in room 2124. We were fine since it was on the first floor. My husband is recovering from a total knee replacement, and it was best for him to walk shorter distances since he is only 10 weeks out from surgery. We met (our butler/host) Kelly, and she was pleasant, but it took an extended period of time to meet her initially. We thought nothing of it and moved on. We start to order breakfast on Tuesday at the Strip restaurant. They got my husband’s order wrong. He ordered an egg white omelet w/waffles. They gave him a plan egg white omelet and no waffles. Without an apology they just said we don’t have waffles and gave him cold pancakes. They did, however, come back and give him a hot egg white everything omelet. This happened at almost every meal, something was wrong with one or both orders. We continued our day hoping it got better. The Xhale bars are nice but have a very limited selection and are not consistent. They also did not consistently have the (Buffalo Trace) Whiskey my husband drinks at the Xhale bars so we had to go back and forth between the one in the front and the one in the back to find it. They would say they were out yet somehow the whiskey appeared the next day. This inconsistency made it harder on us since my husband could not do a lot of walking all the time. The next issue is that Kelly did not communicate when our specialty meals clearly. She would say we’re at the hibachi restaurant on Thursday but sent us the Kibbeh restaurant confirmation in Spanish instead. Even though she confirmed the hibachi several times verbally for Thursday she meant Kibbeh. The day on the ticket said Saturday and they were in Spanish, so we were unsure until the kind hostess read it for us and told us where to go. We were late for our Xhale dinner because of this confusion. We were told that we were to have breakfast in bed on Thursday at 10am. We called around 1015 to inquire about the breakfast, but then she said it was on Wednesday at 10. We were in our room at 10am every day and no one came. Plus, she saw us in the Strip Restaurant on Wednesday and reminded us of the Thursday breakfast. Since the Strip restaurant breakfast meals were not right two days in a row we went to the buffet. We went out to breakfast frustrated because we almost missed it because she did not do that right. On Thursday early afternoon, however, I went to use the bidet, and it came up from the floor and away from the wall. I caught myself right before my head hit the toilet. I was so upset because it came up so quickly and was totally caught off guard. I immediately went to the Xhale lounge and reported it. They said they made a request for it to be fixed, and it would be fixed immediately. We informed Kelly on Wednesday evening when preparing for dinner we were out of bodywash and running out of toilet paper. After dinner we returned from Croquette and there was no body wash. Fortunately for us we bring body wash just in case. Later that day Thursday we went to the hibachi restaurant to only told our reservation is for Saturday and we should be at Kibbeh. Again, my husband was not given food at all to start. I received my appetizer and when my husband inquired about his appetizer our waiter forgot to put the order in, even though he repeated it. He was finally served lukewarm soup right before his dinner. He asked for a medium rare steak, and it was given to him well done. He asked them to correct it. They came back with another steak still well done. My husband was hungry and just got up and again went to the buffet. This is after we were confused about the reservations that were not clear and we were at the wrong place. Our night was just ruined by all the apathy shown to us. When we returned for the night, we at least received toilet tissue. The bidet had not been repaired and we still did not have shower gel. On Friday, I informed Kelly that upper management needs to be involved with these pending issues. Moments later we hear a knock at the door. We received a bottle of body wash. Few moments later a repairman comes in to repair the bidet. This tells me it was possible to have this resolved immediately and they chose not to. I didn’t know my husband was emailing Luisa Rojas and she wanted to speak to us Friday at 2pm. I discussed our concerns with Luisa who was lovely. She listened and escalated the issues quickly to her manager Rosemarie. They attempted to do service recovery. They offered to do a nice dinner for us Sunday night and the use of a cabana for both Saturday and Sunday. We were just trying to get some enjoyment out of our remaining days. Kelly was to meet us on Saturday at 10am to take us to the cabanas. She was over 30 minutes late and when she arrived did not have the paperwork she was told to have. She slowly went to go get it and that took another 30minutes. She returned with a legal document faced down so we could not see what it was or what the terms were. She did not explain it. She just said it was the rules to use the cabana. It, in fact was a settlement agreement that she did not explain. We did not sign because it was given to us, as if she was trying to sneak it past us, hoping we would not read it. At that point our trust was fully broken. We were beyond disappointed; we were hurt and upset. We asked for another Host, and we asked to just finish our remaining days in peace. For the rest of the trip we still had to go from bar to bar looking for Whiskey and unfortunately my husband ate something on Sunday that made him violently throw up. Gigi was the new host, and I asked her to have them clean the bathroom again after he got sick. I cleaned it already, but I wanted to make sure the smell stayed away. They did clean it but left the vomit filled towels so I put them away so they could take them on the night clean up which they did. We were so happy to go home on Monday so we could be treated well by each other. This is the most abysmal trip I have ever taken. We have been traveling for decades and every department disappointed us. We have never wanted to leave a resort as much as we wanted to leave this one. Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and dedicated to making my stay unforgettable. The resort is beautiful, with stunning pools, a gorgeous beach, clean rooms, and a lively atmosphere that perfectly balances relaxation and entertainment. The food was delicious with plenty of dining options, and the drinks were always top-notch. The entertainment team kept the energy high with fun activities, themed parties, and nightly events. Every area of the resort was well-maintained, and the service was exceptional throughout my stay. If you’re looking for an adults-only resort with amazing vibes, great food, and outstanding service, Breathless Punta Cana is the perfect destination. I can’t wait to visit again!
