Zoetry Agua Punta Cana

Writing this on our last day after another amazing stay at Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana! This is our fourth time here and we love it! A few shout-outs to team folks who helped make this trip so good! • Daniel (beach security): Above and beyonf with coffee and early morning company. • Luis, Frank, and the management team: Thank you for running such a great team and jumping in to help us. • Johanna: the best smile and making each meal even better. • Maria: Our little devil in angel's clothes! Always keeping us laughing. • Leidy: for starting every day off just a little brighter. And then there's Diomendes, our butler, my brother, and the master of ceremonies. This was our second trip with Dio, and he managed to make this stay even more memorable than the last. What sets Dio apart isn't just that he gets things done, it's how genuinely invested he is in making sure every guest has an incredible experience. His gentle nature fits perfectly with the relaxing atmosphere at Zoetry. Whether it was arranging special dinners, checking in at just the right times, handling every little detail behind the scenes, or simply stopping by for a laugh and a conversation, he made us feel like we were his only guests at the resort. By the end of the trip, he felt less like a butler and more like family. The relationships he builds with guests are genuine, and it shows! We will absolutely be requesting him every time we return. Chef Octavio has completely transformed the food experience here. It's hard to explain just how much of a difference he's made. The pasta dishes were great and the steaks were cooked perfectly every time. He and his team did a few special dinners for us, the one for my wife's birthday was incredible. He and his team have taken Zoëtry Agua's food to a whole new levelv since our last visit. A couple more shout outs... • Wilca: Everything you want in a beach/poolside server: attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead. • Livia and Joselyn: Absolutely amazing at the spa. Are you sure we can't bring you home with us? The grounds really are awesome, and in the evening the lighting is stunning. They use electric landscaping equipment. It's a small detail and it makes a big difference, allowing the property to stay peaceful and quiet while still looking pristine. The upgrades to the bars, restaurants, and rooms have also taken the resort up another notch. It was cool having the World Cup matches set up every day. When you arrive, you're greeted with "Welcome home." It's easy to brush that off as just a nice phrase, but after spending time here, you realize they truly mean it. The entire staff makes you feel like you're surrounded by family... well, the family you actually like spending time with! 😉 Thank you to everyone who made this trip so special. We're already planning our next trip back.

We just returned from a wonderful week at Zoetry Agua! This was our third annual trip to the resort. It was lovely and the remodel that they did over the last year was gorgeous. We were greeted by many friendly faces we had gotten to know during our past visits. Gilbert and Tania with entertainment. Leidy, Henry, Eduardo, Frank, Chamal, Merilyn, Yarisbel, at the restaurants (among others!) Our favorite dirty money drink maker, Wilca! Emmanuel our wet car restocker. Juana our housekeeper. At the spa Laura and Jorgelys were great at the front desk and the massages I had with Jocelyn and Vianelle were wonderful. Dio, our concierge was always there to help and Wandy/Max, Juan Carlos, and Oliver at check in/out always greeted us with a smile. I know I am missing people! The resort is beautiful but the people make it even better! Highly recommend a visit!

This resort met and exceeded all of my expectations. Our family was looking for a vacation where we could truly relax, unwind, and feel completely taken care of, and Zoëtry Agua delivered that and more. From the moment we arrived, we felt like royalty. The location is absolutely stunning and made us feel as though we were in our own private paradise. The peaceful atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for, offering the perfect balance of relaxation and activities whenever we wanted them. The food was incredible at every meal. Whether dining by the beach or enjoying a special evening dinner, every experience felt thoughtful and luxurious. We were consistently pampered and never wanted for anything. One of the things that stood out most was the welcoming environment. The other guests were friendly and kind, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere throughout our stay. Most importantly, the staff went above and beyond in every way. Their genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and dedication to making our stay special made all the difference. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and truly made us feel valued. If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful resort where you can completely disconnect from everyday stress and be treated exceptionally well, Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana is the perfect choice.

Zoetry was just what we needed. It was very relaxed and quiet in a beautiful setting. The service was impeccable. The beach was gorgeous and the pool and pool bar were fantastic. The spa was amazing, and you could go use the sauna, steam room, and hot tub anytime without an appointment. The only minor issue we had was with the food, which, at times, was delicious and amazing, and at other times, not so great. It was hit and miss. I highly recommend the Italian restaurant. Breakfast and the 24-hour room service were also great.

We recently returned to Zoetry for our second stay, one year after our 1st trip. We were glad to find the place did not lose any of its ambiance or appeal since their renovations last fall. It is still a peaceful, quiet, and relaxing hideaway from the world. It’s definitely not a party place. We did notice a few more younger couples, as well as a few families with kids this trip. I wouldn’t recommend it for families with kids generally, but it is a great retreat for couples of any age. Also happy to report the resort itself is still spotless. And we find the Zoetry’s slightly distant location from the other resorts and the airport a positive, despite some negative reviews to the contrary. There is a recently opened resort down the beach from the Zoetry (the “W”) but is far enough away to not bleed over onto the property. We were glad to see several of the staff from last year still there. They all display an overwhelmingly positive attitude and provide great customer service. We stayed mid-resort, in a second floor suite, just two rooms down from our last visit. Like last time, the room was great: it was clean, roomy, had a super large bathroom, and was very quiet. It came with a nice private large covered balcony, perfect for sitting out with your morning coffee. The beach is spacious, clean, and calm. It looks like new palapas, loungers, and sun beds were added during the renovations. The atmosphere overall is still very serene & quiet. No crowds, no noise. Lots of space for a small resort. The main pool with the swim-up bar is also calm & enjoyable, albeit the seating area is on the smaller side. It does have nice relaxing music and good bar service. You can swim or just hang around in the water and relax. No parties or loud drunks, just peace & quiet. In the afternoon, there’s a great pizza station set up there, as well as a daily lunch grill. And speaking of food, some of the best food we had during our stay was at the pool lunch grill. Chef Feliciano’s barbeque is excellent! (The pizza’s good too). They also have a nice shaded dining area there to relax and enjoy your lunch and a drink. So the food overall in the resort, I would rate at “good-very good.” There were some hits & misses, but nothing “terrible” in our opinion. Possibly some better oversight & tweaking in the kitchens, as well as a few new menu items could be beneficial. To be honest, there were a few meals I would rate as only fair, but several I would rate as excellent (with more on the excellent side than fair). And the service in the restaurants for the most part was also very good. A few occasions there were delays in the ala carte, but generally it was fine. And wait staff in all locations were very accommodating & welcoming. We chose not to interact with the U.V.C. people this trip. If that is something you’re open to fine, but it’s just not for us. Again, the customer service staff of the Zoetry is its strength. I do want to mention several that stood out for their great work & positive attitude: -Alejandro, our concierge. (He met us at check-in, and stayed in touch with us daily during our stay. He was very helpful providing information and assistance when needed. Several times he went out of his way to deliver items or provide updates on questions. He’s very personable & a great ambassador for the Zoetry). -Darlin & Feliciano, chefs at the pool grill. (Excellent barbeque)! -Maria & Tatiana-servers at Amaya. -Natali-hostess at Amaya. -Luis Gonzalez, server at Amaya, the pool grill, & several other places. (He seemed to be everywhere-working hard). -Jendilier, server at Indigo -Zuleima, server at Indigo -Leidy, hostess at Indigo -Alejandra, Eliana, Simon, & Wilca-beach servers. (All out trudging in the sand & hot sun, always with a smile & kind words). -Lucely, daytime room maid -Dinairy, evening room maid -Milenia, hostess at Olena -Elizer & Wandy, front desk workers (Both very personable & helpful answering questions). -Maritza, morning clerk at the Coco Café (Excellent Lattes 1st thing in the morning-always with a smile & a warm welcome). Sorry we don’t have more names, because from the moment we arrived everyone we dealt with was great. We highly recommend the Zoetry, and look forward to returning soon!

From the moment you enter the gate, the staff welcomes you with open arms and hearts. The door is always open—step inside paradise where your name and desires truly matter. The resort’s design features exquisite palm trees that provide privacy, along with semi-private pools scattered throughout for a tranquil experience. Our favorite dining experience was the Asian Fusion night at Amaya. A special thanks to the Activities & Entertainment Team—Tania, Gilbert, Franklin, and Marleny. They curate activities like Pilates and painting based on guest desires, making every day a new opportunity to enjoy. Had a Good vacation with family. The property is so lush and green. The landscapers do an amazing job keeping it looking beautiful. There are mosquitoes at night even though they spray 3 times a day. The rooms are huge! Bigger than we expected! Housekeeping does an amazing job! Lucia is the Best! Loved having the snacks and refrigerator restocked daily! Candy and nuts were a nice touch. The drinks are hit or miss....sometimes needs more alcohol! We asked for a glass of rum on the side. Charlie was our beach butler...always took care of us promptly! Food was good... not 5 star. Beach pizza was Amazing! Amstar provided great transportation to and from the resort. Easy to find at the airport and arrived promptly for departure day. Be sure to talk with the Amstar representative at the resort to confirm a pick up time!! Luis, our concierge, was annoying. He came to find us more than we wanted. He did set up the free horseback riding for us. He did not make our massage appointments or send someone to pick up for luggage as he said he would. Very disappointing! He also made us sit through a time share talk. Ugh! Like I want to do that on my vacation! Luis also gave us resort credits....but could not use them in the spa or boutique as he said. We did not attend any night time activities due to the mosquitoes. All the staff were friendly and work really hard! Charlie, Lucia, Chamel, Maria, Mathjuari, Wilca, Fernando, Eduardo. Just the ones I remember.

What an amazing week at Zoetry Agua! A special thank you to the team at Piragua: Natali, Livianny, Yohanna, Maria, and Jimi. The ladies gifted me a beautiful hair clip— it was so sweet! The food was great all week beteeen the restaurants and beach/pool lunches. Simon at the pool bar was very attentive and kept our glasses full each day! The team at Olany: Livianny, Marlene, Yorka, Eduardo, and Lisbeth along with our concierge, Enmanuel made my birthday memorable with a special dinner seating, a cake and flowers. Joel at the lobby bar also kept our glasses full each evening while we enjoyed the entertainment. Our room and the resort overall was kept very clean. However, you’ll definitely need bug spray! They provide you with some in your room but bring more. Also, the Ultimate Vacation Club, while nice and professional, really push signing up. You just don’t want to be sold while on vacation. Overall, the resort exceeded our expectations and we’ll likely visit again.

This was our second visit to Zoetry, the first time was in 2024. We were there for the first two weeks of May. It is hands down the most relaxing, quiet and serene resort we have ever been to. We are on the west coast of Canada, and it takes two flights with a total of 9 hours of flying time (plus a layover), to get to Punta Cana, so what is on the other end of this journey has got to be top notch – and Zoetry does not disappoint! Large property and smaller amount of suites, plus a great amount of staff make it what it is. We are normally adults-only travelers, but even the fact that there are occasionally younger children does not deter us. We go to enjoy days at the beach, long walks, good food and good wine. We are not excursion people, but those who wish to do so, there are lots of off-property options. The beach is incredible – regardless of any sargassum issues, which we only had a bit of – and the fact that there are no resorts on either side of it adds to the peacefulness. The refresh done last fall, on many areas of the resort are really wonderful. There are some things that obviously could still be renovated, given the age of the resort, but it is encouraging to see Hyatt investing in the property to KEEP it as the kind of place it has always been, rather than use resources to change it into something else. Our room was gorgeous and was stocked with everything we could have wanted. Housekeeping do a fantastic job and deserve a daily gratuity to show our appreciation. We thought the menus and food in general, were even improved from our last visit. They do a good job alternating menus on different nights, at the 3 restaurants, so we never felt like we didn’t have choice and variety. We would be happy with some more menu expansion, especially for choices of main courses/entrees, in particular on the Mediterranean menu. However, we did not have a bad meal. Another big plus, is that all the ingredients are fresh and top quality – whole foods, put together to create tasty dishes. Staff. If it weren’t for the caliber of individuals who work there, Zoetry would be nothing! Absolutely incredible!! When you are there for 2 weeks, you really know that everyone is genuine. There were many who we remembered from our last visit, and low turnover is a sure sign that things are working well. I want to give a shout out to individuals, so will simply list them here – Amada, or beautiful and amazing concierge, it was a privilege to get to know her and be assisted by her. Also Dio, who looked after us the last 3 days when she had some well deserved days off. Thank you for hanging out with us before departure and giving us some great insight into life in the DR – we loved it! Indigo every day for breakfast and lunch: Leidy, Merlyn, Chamel, Carmen, Jendiler, Henry, Oliver, Jerlyn, Zuleima. We love you! Olena and Amaya – Lisbeth, Yorca, Marlene, Yani and Milenia – absolutely outstanding, so much fun and always made our meals memorable! I did not get names of every single server at these restaurants, and Piraugua as well, but everyone provided us with excellent customer service. We really appreciated our beach servers – Alejandra, Charlie, Monica and Elanya. Big thanks to Junior who always saw me coming before 8am, and had towels ready to hand over as soon as I arrived, along with a big smile and a hug. If you are looking for a resort that is quiet, but still has things to do if you choose to, this is the place for you. It is NOT a late night party place, but there are more than enough other resorts that fit the bill. If you have children, you should also choose a different resort where there are things geared to them. So do your homework before you book anywhere and you won’t be disappointed. The only real downside to the resort is the bug bites. They spray multiple times a day and do their best, but you simply can’t beat Mother Nature. The grounds are beautiful and the beach is very nice! There are limited restaurants, but they rotate the cuisine within those few options to provide an acceptable variety of dining options in a limited space. The food is acceptable, but we didn’t find anything exceptional on our visit. Zoëtry Agua has less than 100 rooms and therefore it is less crowded than most other resorts, which automatically puts it towards the top of our list! Unfortunately, it is not an adults only resort in spite of its “zen” nature. At the very least, the pool with the swim-up bar should be designated as an “adults only” area; as well as an area on the beach. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful!!

We had a wonderful, relaxing week at Zoetry Punta Cana at the end of April. We were met by Wandy who offered us a welcome drink and got us all checked in. We were then escorted to our Romantic Junior Suite, room number 204 that overlooked one of the swim up pools. This was a nice surprise as we had originally booked a garden view. The room was really comfortable with a large deck and a day bed. We participated in several activities, such as painting, pottery, sound healing and horse riding, all of which were included. The resort is immaculately kept and wandering through the beautiful landscaped gardens was an absolute joy. A few mentions of appreciation to some of the attentive staff that went out their way to make our stay truly memorable: Simon, our beach/pool waiter who would anticipate and deliver your next drink in perfect time. Gabrielle and Jennifer at the swim up bar, who provided ice cold water even when they were just setting up in the morning. The ever cheerful Leidy, who met us with a welcoming smile every morning at breakfast. Karina and the Main Man at the lobby bar, they make a wicked Old Fashioned Dio, who has absolutely mastered the fine balance of being attentive without being overbearing when it comes to guest interactions. Thank you my friend for your time and great conversations. Unusually for us, we spent most of the week camped out on the beach, just chilling out and on a couple of occasions, listening to one of the guests from Nashville softly playing his acoustic guitar on the beach. Just a great chilled out atmosphere, both during the day and at night. One recommendation would be to bring some earplugs as you can sometimes hear the evening entertainment at the W hotel, not too loud but still noticeable. The tree frog’s bleeping all night however is a different story… We found the food to be really good at all the restaurants with attentive service. A couple of things that could enhance future stays: Padded sunbeds by the pool and on the beach. Restricting table sizes in the restaurants to maybe 6 instead of 12 as the romantic atmosphere can be overwhelmed by multiple people trying to speak over each other. Sometimes the app activity locations were incorrect, but if you ask one of the staff they always assisted you. All in all, a fabulous week with lots of long beach walks, great food and beverages. We will no doubt return one day.

Zoetry Agua is amazing! My family and I met in Punta Cana to celebrate my Mom's 70th birthday and it exceeded expectations! My mother, as well as my family are all extremely pleased and want to go back. The rooms and property are beautiful, the spa is world class, and the beach is paradise! Amada was in charge up keeping up with my crazy family, and she went above and beyond! Our trip would not be the same with out her! The service was great all around, as we were always taken care of, but I do have to give another shoutout to Simon! He took care of us on the beach and always made sure we had everything we needed as quickly as possible. The only thing that could have been better was the food. Lunch, which they grilled by the pool, was by far the best meal and was honestly amazing! Breakfast was pretty good, but dinner is where the most improvement needs to be made. All in all, 5 out of 5 because of the property, amenities, and the amazing staff!

My family of 7 stayed in the 3 bedroom villa which was beautiful and had tons of room for all of us. Our concierge Jose Simeon was always available and set up activities for us daily both on property and off. He delivered on every request, total stud. The property is stunning. Everything is extremely well maintained. The beach is beautiful with lots of coral reef and pretty decent snorkeling. The pools were also well maintained, and service around the property was exceptional. The resort was around 50-60% capacity when we were there. We usually had the beach, pool, spa all to ourselves. Zoetry delivered on the 5-star but also small and boutique feel that we were looking for. Would absolutely go back.

Every member was incredibly welcoming and always willing to help. Every person we interacted with was very nice, and the ones we got to spend time with we built a bond and felt very welcome and that everyone truly wanted us to have an amazing experience. Wilca brought us welcome drinks and continued to make us feel special throughout our stay, greeting us and checking in with our needs daily. Jose Simeon was so helpful throughout the week, sending us helpful information daily, answering all of our questions, and thoroughly greeting and checking in with us every time he was around. Everyone at the spa was wonderful, Santa did amazing work! Everyone working in the pool bar and lunch area were so friendly and happy always checking in on us! Jennifer was very attentive, fast, and made delicious perfect drinks every time! Luisito made the best margarita pizza we have ever had, he is so talented. Fernando helped us at restaurants multiple nights and always was very kind and helpful. Room service was efficient and friendly. The housekeeping team was phenomenal and always made our room perfect and feeling like we were at home. We were so excited every night to come back so see the different flowers or details in the bed and bathroom they did to make it feel extra special. We were so thankful to have such a beautiful space to stay in and it was kept stocked and comfortable the entire stay. Benjamin was always around the 10/10 activities. There was such a fun variety and they were all so well done, relaxing, and overall a great time! We looked forward to attending the activities and felt excited to see Ben, Franklyn, Talia, and everyone else that helped with pottery, painting, Spanish Lessons, candle making, cigar rolling, coconut leaf hat making, jewelry making, and all the other interesting options! I loved aqua spinning and the instructor was funny and made the workout a great time with his energy and vibe. We loved yoga with Grace who led us through beautiful yoga flows. We enjoyed the different tastings at the lobby bar, like the martini tasting. Joel from the lobby bar was the most attentive bartender we have ever been served by. He was on top of making sure we were satisfied and was extremely attentive and friendly. He made us feel so welcome and made us want to stay longer since we loved spending the evening there with him. One of the highlights of our week was meeting amazing people like Joel and Wilca who we felt close to by the end of our time spent at the incredible Zoetry resort. A big part of what made our trip so special was not only how stunning the style and design of the buildings made you feel immersed, but the people on the team are the ones that made this trip above and beyond what we ever could have expected. We feel so lucky to have gotten to experience this teams genuine service, and we cannot wait to come back and visit our family soon! Thank you all for a phenomenal experience!

They were attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. Every interaction felt personal, and they consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of. The dining experience was just as impressive. Every restaurant on the property delivered high-quality food, great presentation, and consistent service. Whether it was a full meal at Olena, Amaya, Piragua, or Indigo, or grabbing something quick from Coco Café, everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Even the in-room dining exceeded expectations, arriving on time and maintaining restaurant-level quality. The wellness amenities were another major highlight. The fitness center was spotless and equipped with newer, well-maintained machines, making it easy to stay on track with workouts. The spa and sauna areas were incredibly clean and relaxing, creating the perfect environment to unwind. And the massage therapists were truly world-class—skilled, attentive, and easily among the best we’ve experienced. Overall, this wasn’t just a vacation—it was a complete experience. Between the service, food, and wellness offerings, this resort gets everything right. We will absolutely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, relaxing, and memorable getaway.
