Viceroy Los Cabos

I just had the best massage of my life, and I have to give a huge thank-you to Nancy. From the moment the session started, she was incredibly attentive, professional, and clearly very skilled at what she does. Nancy immediately understood exactly where I was holding tension and worked through those areas with the perfect balance of pressure and technique. Every movement felt intentional and therapeutic — not just relaxing, but genuinely effective. By the end of the session I felt completely reset: relaxed, loose, and pain-free. What really stood out was how intuitive she was. She adjusted pressure perfectly and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. It’s rare to find someone who is both highly technical and deeply calming in their approach. If you’re looking for a massage that truly makes a difference, Nancy is exceptional. I’ll absolutely be coming back and would recommend her to anyone looking for an outstanding massage experience.

Long time reader of TripAdvisor, not much of a poster but felt it necessary given my experience at the Viceroy. I looked over a year's worth of reviews of this resort and want to share my notes. THE PROs: 1). The resort is what appears on the pics, beautiful and one of a kind. Modern, clean lines, and an architects mushroom'd dream. 2). The guests = great people watching. Think older folks, mid 30s the youngest, mid 50s the average, with disposable cash and looks to prove it. Lots of couples, many from metro areas in CA or the East Coast (NYC) with some Europeans sprinked in. A few kids as well though they were pretty well behaved and were rarely a distraction. 3). Noise - or lack thereof. We stayed in building 5 a barely heard any neighbors or resort noise, save for if you open your balcony doors, but even then it's peaceful and quite. I don't get any sense of a "club" scene at all, with some music coming out of speakers by the beach pool, but really not much out of the restaurants and bar. 4). Clean - hard to find any guest litter, everything was washed, picked-up, mopped, sanded, etc to near perfection. 5). Transparency on costs - outside of resort fee, the room cost and extra charges were exactly what I calculated. 6). The service is really the crown jewell here, I read so many other reviews that list a handful of people and initially found that to be irrelevant; but after a 3night stay, I understand that the entire staff, waiters, butlers, factilities workers, all go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. So here I go...shout out to Jesus, the best pool side waiter I've ever had; Rosa, the sweetest waiter; Victoria our Butler that tended to our requests; Fernando our waiter at Nido, simply brought the fun. AREAS of IMPROVEMENT Only a few to think of and none of them even close to a deal breaker 1). Wish we had more/bigger wastebaskets in our room 2). We had only one closet hook to put our wet bathing suits on 3). We thought we paid for our entire room up front via Amex, but got hit with a $290 USD resort fee, which I thought we would have taken care of via the Amex website POSITIVES SURROUNDING THE VICEROY 1). Weather, we went the 3rd week of February and the weather was perfect. Nothing to do with the resort but complete sun 4 days in a row really showed off the Viceroy's landscape. 2). San Jose - just a 8-10min Uber from the hotel, we went Thurs night for Art Walk and the scene was fun but nothing to a Cancun Spring Break vibe; populated but not crowded, clean and safe. Dinner at La Lupita made the best tacos I've had in a looooong time 3). Flora Farms/Acre - about a 15-20min drive, but close and incredible grounds to visit when in Cabo 4). La Comer - whole foods type grocery basically across the street from the resort, grab some sundries and fill up your room's mini fridge Net-net: the Viceroy isn't cheap, but you will feel a ROI+ given the hotel grounds, the fellow guests, the service, the 1%ers experience, and the good vibes. We've done the LeBlanc in Cabo last year and wouldn't even think of another spot in Cabo than the Viceroy.

I was sent to San Jose del Cabo for a business situation and extended my stay at the Viceroy. It was one of the resorts I had heard of but never had been to before. I was pleasantly surprised at the layout and was given a personal concierge Victor. He was very kind and helpful and went above and beyond to assist with some hiccups along the way even after I had come home we stayed in touch to complete a task. Additionally the front desk staff and servers we all fantastic and made me feel special..ill definitely be back! Muchas Gracias

My stay was incredible, I went to celebrate my 63rd birthday with my wife. The hotel is beautiful, its warmth and wonderful people made me want to return, although we had a small issue in the pool, Gustavo took care of giving us attention and we were able to turn something uncomfortable into something great. Without a doubt, we will return.

A wonderful experience staying at Viceroy. All the waiters are very friendly, quick and make you feel seen. The remember you from years ago. Good sign that you see the same employees, after all these year, that says a lot. Eapecially Carlos is a super waiter :) a very kind, friendly, good sense of humor and you can see he loves his job.

Highly recommend. The property is one of the most beautiful I have ever been to. I rate everything a 10. Our villa was breath taking. All the restaurants had excellent food. The tacos at Nidito are the best. Try the steak quesadilla too! The service was amazing from arrival to departure. Friendly staff. The spa and gym were superb . We would definitely go back. There are a lot of room configurations that are quite unique and inviting. The best is the water features through out the property . So unique! You feel like the resort is in the ocean.

My friend and I had a great time at Viceroy Los Cabos. Everyone was helpful and friendly. And a special shout out to Victor, our Butler, who was always available, always asked to help and see what we needed, and went above and beyond for us. Definitely increased the enjoyment of our stay. It was mostly couples during our stay, but we found everyone to be very nice. It was clean, quiet and very chic. It's very expensive, as others have said. In fact, I think it's over priced for what you pay for and preferred eating offsite. More reasonable prices - and this isn't an affordability question, it's a value for money and where do I want to spend my money question - and we would've definitely tried the restaurants and bars. But with other options easy to get to....another shout out to the breakfast staff. They were excellent every single day, making sure we had what we needed. I don't remember names as I was too busy to write the review until now, but they all deserve recognition!

We had such an amazing time. The staff are so well trained to be friendly and of service. Food was awesome in all restaurants. Our most coveted experience was having Alexis as out host. He was on call 24/7 and would handle anything from reservations to spa to our hot tub not working. He was FLAWLESS and went far above the call of duty! He MADE our weekend!! I would HIGHLY recommend this property and getting the HOST AND SPA package!! ( the spa was the first spa that my wife and i could steam/ sauna/ cold plunge/ hot tub and massage together. Super fun!!!). Thank you Viceroy and THANK YOU ALEXIS!!!!
