We have been to many excellent hotels including all inclusive. Royal Plantation is head and shoulders above all the AI resorts we have stayed in. From the complimentary resort transfers, the butlers beach butlers and not forgetting Omar and the rest of his amazing staff. Outstanding service, food and premier branded drinks. All sea view suites complete the experience. Special mention to Bebeato and Marvin (our butlers) who looked after us. I just have one question - how does Omar know every guests name? We had been to every Sandals and many multiple times except for Royal Plantation. Why we hadn’t gone here before, have no idea but so glad we finally went Feb 2026. Omar (GM) was amazing!!! He knew everyone of the guests by name. How he does this, we have no idea …. he is one of the best Sandals managers ever. Always takes the time to talk to every guest and to make sure you have everything you need …. Amazing doesn’t even begin to describe Omar!! He and his entire staff go above and beyond anything that we ever expected. They all really care and make you feel just like family. The Royal Planation is smaller than other Sandals, but this is probably what makes it so special. You feel right at home the minute you walk in. The week we were there, the weather was rather cool, but didn’t stop us from enjoying the beach, making new friends and enjoying spectacular food. Views from every angle were priceless. Another amazing stay at SRP. Only really came on here to thank all the staff who make this place something truly special. The manager Omar has made a big difference. He comes round and talks to every guest but most importantly he listens to their feedback and actually does something about it. A couple of years ago we gave some feedback and it was great to see that the resort and management had taken it on board and made changes. He and the team are doing an amazing job Sandals - you are lucky to have them! The resort is being carefully updated - not so much to lose the charm that it has, but freshened so to make everything that bit more comfortable. We liked the updates to the room and to the resort itself. The staff here are some of the best I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. Everyone from the reception, to the waiting staff, bar staff, butlers, beach butlers, spa staff, room attendants are amazing and super friendly. Big shout out to our butlers Chase, Neil and Carlos, the beach boys Trevado, Romaine and Daniello, the mighty bar team of Garnet and Junior alongside Tressil and my favourite lady in the spa Shirley. See you next January, we cannot wait to come home :)

We had an incredible experience at the Sandals spa and couldn’t be more pleased with the level of care we received from start to finish. Diana and Camille were our massage therapists and they were absolutely wonderful! They were skilled and genuinely focused on making sure we felt our best. We left feeling so much better than when we arrived, which is exactly what we hoped for. Tiffany at the front desk deserves a special shoutout. We had an issue with our appointment times, and rather than turning us away, she handled it gracefully and accommodated us without missing a beat. Samuel and Marcia were our spa attendants and did a great job showing us around and making sure we felt comfortable and oriented from the moment we walked in. The team also suggested some great products during our visit, but there was absolutely no pressure. Overall, the entire staff made this a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend the spa at Sandals and if you’re lucky enough to get this team, you’re in great hands!

My stay at Sandals Royal Plantation was truly unforgettable thanks to my butler, Neil. From the moment I arrived, he made sure I had everything I needed and more. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine warmth made me feel completely taken care of. Neil didn’t just provide great service—he made the experience feel personal. He anticipated what I wanted before I even asked, checked in at the perfect times, and created a level of comfort that felt like family. Every part of my stay was elevated because of him. If you’re visiting Royal Plantation, you’ll be lucky to have Neil. He made my trip exceptional.

As an overall review, we’ve had, yet again another fantastic holiday. This has been our 7th visit to SRP and being able to return for a relaxing visit and to celebrate our 32nd Wedding Anniversary, meeting old and new friends and all the regular staff has been amazing. The improvements made since the new General Manager, Omar, has started are very noticeable and much appreciated as is his very visible presence around the property. The repainting and renovations of the building, as an ongoing project and because of the recent storms from last year, is now, pretty much completed. The suites have been fully renovated and add a new more modern feel with softer furnishings, whilst retaining the original charm and design. A great job, well done for succeeding in this difficult balancing act. Marvin and Bebeato - our dream team of butlers that we’ve had on every trip, have been amazing arranging all those little essential details, booking the restaurants, suggestions for lunch on the beach, and ensuring everything runs smoothly, making for a wonderful experience and relaxing holiday. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Marvin has been our butler every year since we started coming to SRP and we hope that he and Bebeato will continue to be so on future visits, that we’ve already got booked. They are a great team and we very much appreciated all they do. Romaine, Danielle and Trevado the three Amigos….better known to all as the famous “Beach Butler” continue to entertain and delight us with new drink suggestions, conversations wonderful charm, hard work and rapid service. You get a lovely feeling from all the staff that for them, working at SRP is more than just a job and that they are genuinely happy to help guests have a fantastic holiday. This is one of the main reasons that we come back. There’s a wonderful team here. Many that we have met over the years have progressed in the organisation and others newly joining seem energised. All the staff have been exceptional and it is difficult to list all the stars but the ones that have stood out the most this year are: Samual, previously a kitchen assistant. He’s now moved to the Spa, doing a great job. I’ve been in the gym a few times and we’ve reviewed his plan….he should be a very muscular next year when we visit. Such a friendly happy kid with his amazing smile and his hope to progress. We think he will be excellent in this role and we were delighted to see him. Well done to Sandals Management for encouraging such hard working youngsters and giving them a real opportunity. A new, to us Chef Vinroy, made a fantastic lobster risotto for us and some friends from previous years on the Terrance as an evening treat. Fabulous. Demario, doing evening service on the Terrace (and other sections) was such a great guy and worked so hard on a very busy night serving and ensuring we’d drinks, the table kept tidy and that we’d a great evening. Finally serving coffee as the rest of the tables emptied. David and Abbie have kept us supplied with wonderful omelettes and assorted dishes at breakfast with such a cheerful and engaging attitude that has made breakfast time a highlight of the day. Chevanese on the Terrace, and we’ve seen her at the Grill, has been excellent, to say she’s only been here a few months she fits in so well, like she’s been here years. Her friendliness, efficiency and attention to detail is great. We are sure that she has a lot of the skills and professionalism to make a great butler at some point in the future. The Breakfast ladies, always cheerful and smiling in a morning. Stephanie, Tiana, Vanya and Sherika at the Terrace and Grill always brighten our morning with their wonderful smiles and helpfulness. Fabian, from the Water Sports, has built a formidable team on the beach that is hard working but still fun to be around whilst constantly monitoring guest activity in the water sports area and rapidly responding to any events that occur. Tivanne from the beach team, such an energetic guy, never stops. Has a wealth of knowledge and experience. He handles the Big Glass bottom boat like a pro. Lovely to chat with. We remember him from when he started at the water sports and he continues to do such a good job throughout the day in keeping the sand and equipment clean. The Terrace Hostess, is such a lovely lady with lots of charm and character ensuring we’ve been given the best service on an evening. She keeps the evening service running efficiently and is an excellent team member. We will miss our evening chats. The in-house entertainment has been very good. All three Natarki, Alex and Brandon have done excellent performances. The external entertainment has been a good range of musical bands and singers and don’t forget Bob the balancing and Fire guy, brilliant Estina, who has kept our room spotlessly clean and tidy. There are of course many, many others that have helped to make our stay wonderful and we appreciate the whole team for their hard work and amazing attitude. The only slight negatives this year: the gym equipment is less with the demise of the rower, the Cross trainer was never replaced and there’s a few missing bits on other equipment. It really needs a full overhaul and lets the standard down for this level of resort. Thank you very much for making our vacation. We will be back next year.

We returned last Thursday from our first trip to Jamaica and our first Sandals visit — at Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios — and it was truly the best resort experience we’ve ever had. And I mean ever. This is a quieter, intimate resort with only about 75 rooms. It’s not a party place — and that’s exactly why we loved it. The vibe is relaxed, personal, and elevated. Evenings offered great entertainment without ever feeling loud or chaotic. If you’re looking for more nightlife, Sandals Ochi next door brings the energy. The speakeasy there, The Rabbit Hole, is a must — we saw Lady Cher perform, and she is incredibly talented. If you’re a big pool person, this may not be the perfect fit unless you’re comfortable heading next door to use the larger pools. Royal Plantation is more about the beach, the butler service, and the peaceful atmosphere. The food was outstanding — the coconut lobster was out of this world… and the lamb? Phenomenal. What truly sets this resort apart is the warm atmosphere, the attention to every little detail, and the phenomenal service — you don’t just feel like a guest… you feel at home. That culture starts at the top. Omar, the resort manager, leads in a way you can feel. He knows guests by name, checks in often, and sets a tone of pride and excellence that carries throughout the property. Our butlers, Sherril and Gladstone, were exceptional. From fresh coconut and lobster lunches on the beach to running out for authentic jerk chicken — the attention to detail was next level. And the excellence didn’t stop there: Junior at the Wobbly Peacock — always welcoming and incredibly patient. Daniello on the beach — attentive and genuinely friendly. Stefnie at breakfast — the perfect way to start every morning. Tresell — outstanding service and a fantastic sense of humor. Romain (aka “Fresh Prince”) — personality and professionalism combined… and yes, shoulder massages if you ask nicely. Giovani — amazing every time he served us. Anthony — had me rolling with his sense of humor (and the random meowing!). The piano player at the French restaurant — just wow. Winston, our airport driver — we learned so much from him. Wonderful to talk to and extremely professional. Omar, the shuttle driver — hilarious. I could have sat on that shuttle all day. Sequoia — lovely to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and absolutely stunning on Valentine’s Day. No one was ever pushy. The service felt genuine. The atmosphere felt intentional. That’s why people return year after year — and now we completely understand why. After the hurricane hit the island months ago, the resilience and pride of the Jamaican people were deeply humbling. You can see the rebuilding, but what you feel is warmth and gratitude everywhere. If you want peace, exceptional service, and a truly personal experience — this is it. We will absolutely be back. We just got back from SRP… absolutely the most amazing and enjoyable vacation ever! Omar leads an exceptional team focused on excellence and hospitality. The more intimate resort and all butler format was new to us. What an incredible experience! Starting with our butlers, Bebeato and Marvin, the entire staff was friendly, professional, and really care about each guest. Avery was super attentive to our room, spoiling us everyday. The beach and pool butlers are great and conversation and service. Danielo made each day special and fun. The restaurants provided great food and options enough to keep us at SRP for almost all of our meals, even though shuttles run regularly to Sandals Ochi and Sandals Dunn’s River and the butlers will happily make reservations for you at restaurants at either of those resorts. Just a quick note here that we did go over to Ochi for sushi a couple evenings during our stay; Andrew the manager at Soy there runs a fantastic team making great sushi and providing a wonderful dining experience. Thanks Andrew! The bartenders and waiters across the resort are top notch. Kimiesha, Jlee, Garnet, and Junior make great drinks and quickly remember each guest’s preferences and are always ready for the next order. Another example of how special SRP is at making each guest feel like family. The waitstaff was also exceptional, with Chevon, Romaine always taking great care of us. In the Spa, Diana & Latoyell were fantastic, making a great spa morning for us on one of our days. Manesh, Sequoia, and Cymanthia were other team members in Travel and Guest Services that at first made us friends and then also made us feel like family and make SRP feel like home. The staff, the food, the drinks, the resort, all exceptional and make us sure we will be back. Thank you all at SRP!

Where to start. We stayed at the Royal Plantation in February 2026 and this was our first visit to a Sandals Hotel and our first visit to Jamaica. This was in our top three of holidays we have been on and probably number one. The hotel is made by its staff. It is an intimate hotel of around 74 rooms with two beaches swimming pools and 5 restaurants but you also have access to the much larger Sandals next door with its multiple restaurants and regular shuttle however, we loved RP so much we never bothered going. Every room is allocated two butlers and we had Robert and Anthony. They catered for every need and you have the option of using them as little or as much as you want. Robert and Anthony made our stay and arranged everything for us from dinner bookings to providing snacks in the afternoon left in your room. It was nice getting to know a bit about their personal lives and having booked to go back we have requested them again. The room was fantastic and the views overlooking the beach and sea were wonderful. It certainly was not a Fawlty Towers over there between the sky and the land moment [if you know you know]. The food was fantastic in all the restaurants and even with the relatively small number of restaurants we did not repeat a meal in two weeks. If you can stretch to paying extra for a Champagne and Caviar experience we would recommend this and Steve provided the perfect Valentines experience from explaining all about caviar and how to consume it to removing the cork from the champagne bottle using a cutlass. The nightly entertainment is pitched just right for us with a fantastic in house team and also local talent such as reggae singers and steel bands. A special mention goes out to the super talented Nataki Alex and Brandon [ apologies if the names are spelt wrong]. Omar is the manager and he ensures he meets every guest and has the ability to remember everyone's name along with Marvin. The staff all seem to like working here. There are two many people to name but the waiters from breakfast to the pool and beach waiters to the evening waiters were just fantastic. The special meal we had sitting by the water for my birthday was divine with a personal waiter Jevaughin Jackson making the evening perfect. We managed to do a number of trips to see the country including Bob Marley's 9 mile a dolphin swim and a trip to Fern Gully and Ocho Rios. We never had any issues finding a sunbed by the pool or beach. We also used the spa which provides a number of treatments including massages and hair treatments. The room was kept spotless by the excellent room staff who were brilliant. All of the staff seemed to have real pride in their work and work as one big team which is unusual. This is not a hotel for you if you want entertainment from dawn to dawn with nightclubs and games etc but if you want to experience a relaxing and peaceful slice of paradise with just the right amount of live entertainment and activities then we would recommend it. We loved it so much we have booked to go back via Horatio for 2027 and 2028 managing to secure a significant discount. We just came back from celebrating my Birthday and the staff could not have been nicer. Resort is all butler and service is great. Restaurants were excellent and they will add things not on the menu to your meal (eg griller lobster tails). We took advantage of the ability to go over to both Dunn's River and Ochi to check out and to eat 2 meals. One note butlers do not reserve spots on beaches or pool. I got up at 6 AM to make sure we got a spot and midafternoon there are very few spots left on beach and none at the small pool. Entertainment was a lot of fun. Final note this is Sandals smallest resort and the vibe is slow and relaxed. Not the place for young couples looking to party--go to Ochi or Dunn's instead. As always their number one asset is their employees and they go the extra kilometer here! Our butlers Tamara (also head butler) and Carlos were the best. Remember it takes a good 90 minutes to 2 hours to get there depending on traffic and the police check points. Resort is small/boutique but there are stairs to climb up and down to beach. We stayed in the Grand Duchess Oceanfront Verandah Suite in the west wing (better beach) and the balcony was ENORMOUS including a wet bar! If you want a slow relaxed vacation and to be pampered with incredible service this is your place.

We have just returned from our second visit to Sandals Royal Plantation and it was even better than the first time. Yes, the hotel needs a little further upgrading and perhaps a few more umbrellas on the beach, but the food and facilities were excellent. What makes it so good is the staff - superbly trained, professional and friendly with many recognizing us from our visit last year. Nothing is too much trouble. It would be impossible to name all those who stood out but to name a few: • Omar, the General Manager, who knows the name of EVERY gust • Marvin, Omar’s deputy, who has an eye for detail and is always looking at how things can improve • Lashaun on the front desk who arranged a late check out • Janet who kept our room spotless • Garnet, the barman, who makes everyone laugh • Stefinie and Ornella in the beach restaurant • Fabian, who enlivens every trip on the glass-bottomed boat • Marvin and Bebeato, our butlers, for whom nothing was too much trouble .... and all the others who give the guests a smile and wonderful service. My husband and I had a delightful vacation at Sandals Royal Plantation. All the rooms had a beautiful view of the ocean, were stocked with drinks, wine, soda and a daily surprise snack. Our butlers, Tamara and Carlos, went out of their way to ensure all our needs were met. They met us with smiles, answered all our questions, and provided helpful advice. The food was delicious and we looked forward to sampling a different restaurant each day. This is a quiet resort that offers relaxation and nightly entertainment. Every single staff member we met were the most friendly people we have ever encountered at any resort or vacation venue. Shout out to Simone, bartender at Royal Grill, for excellence service and cordiality. I highly recommend Royal Plantation to all! Oh, and make sure to book the romantic candlelight dinner for two.

To say we were blown away would be an understatement. We have been to 3 other Sandals resorts and while all excellent, cannot hold a candle to this one. From the time we stepped out of the car we felt right at home. It is difficult to call out specific staff because each and every one of them were fantastic. I have never been to a resort where the managers and staff all know your name by day 2 and the senior staff come to say goodbye when you leave. The level of personal care we felt from each and every one of the staff is hard to describe. Our butlers Johovan and Andre were fantastic taking care of all the little details of our stay including special lunches and dinner reservations. Marlyn our housekeeper was fantastic and friendly. Restaurant servers Vanya an Giovanni also super friendly any time we had them. Huge shoutout to bartender Garnett for his warmth, energy and drink suggestions in the evenings. A master of his craft. Beach is small but quite sandy and there is a chair available for every guest (and if there isn’t, just ask and they’ll bring you one). Beach bartenders and servers ensure you are never thirsty. Weather was unusually cold and windy when we were there so we didn’t get the chance to do much water sports or any boat tours but again, the staff was super friendly The resort only has a few restaurants but the menus are varied so we never felt like we lacked options. Ochi is right next door so we went there for one lunch and dinner and your butler will deliver pizza to you from there on request. Gold course is close by and in very good shape. Fairly open which is good to keep the ball in play, but listen to your caddy on approach shots because the greens are TINY. Resort is also QUIET so if you are there for either the pool scene or nightlife you’d be much better served to stay next door at Ochi. Looking forward to our stay next year to visit our new family. This resort, while quite small and not for everyone, is a crown jewel in the Sandals crown.

From the moment I arrived at Sandals Royal Plantation, I felt like I had come to a very special place—it truly feels like home. I was greeted in a way that made me feel valued and genuinely excited to be there. The level of personalized service is unmatched, and much of that starts with the incredible leadership. The General Manager, Omar, goes above and beyond to ensure every guest receives service tailored to their needs, whether that means special meals, preferred seating on the beach, or simply checking in to see how your day is going. At any given moment, you’ll see him around the resort talking with guests, asking if they need anything, or even picking up empty glasses—his attention to detail and care are remarkable. Marvin, the Hotel Manager, is equally exceptional. I truly can’t say enough about him. His main goal is to make sure guests are having the time of their lives, and he leaves no detail overlooked in making that happen. When I see Marvin, I know my stay is going to be extraordinary. As for my butlers, Alrick and Adriene, I could not have asked for more. Alrick was there every step of the way, checking in consistently to make sure I had everything I needed. He is a fantastic butler and truly excellent at what he does. Adriene brought so much warmth and joy to my stay—his smile lights up the room. From making sure I made it to dinner to surprising me with an extra snack by the pool, he was always attentive, welcoming, and fun. He truly added something special to my experience. If you’re looking for a resort that makes you feel genuinely cared for and truly special, Sandals Royal Plantation is the place to be.

From the moment our car pulls in and we see that spectacular entrance we know we are home. This was our 6 th visit and our 7 th is just 30 days away. Once you go you know , and all you want to do is return again and again and again. The entire team at this resort are second to none. From Omar the GM right on through the entire resort. You can feel Omar’s energy everywhere you go through his team Marvin and Roshane have been recently promoted and we were so happy to see their hard work recognized. The moment we walked into our room ( room 255) we could tell that Estena was our housekeeper. We were so happy to find out that she would be attending to our room by special request. We love our little daily chats with Estena and she does a fabulous job of keeping our room spotless. Our butlers Duwaynie and Richard. Well we don’t even know where to begin with these two fabulous gentleman. They are truly the dynamic duo. We don’t have to ask for anything. They just read our minds. Gio has gone alcohol free and not only did they make sure we had Heineken 0 in our room but it was also in our cooler and available everywhere along with alcohol free champagne. They look after us so well and are always wanting to do something more for us The beach butlers Romane, Daniello and Trevardo do a great job of making sure our cooler is always filled with fresh ice and my wine bottle isn’t empty. Always wanting to know if we need anything. We have had some great laughs with them as well. 3 guys with lots of love for life . They are very well suited for their roles! At the terrace every morning we are greeted by a great group. Stefanie,Sherika,Vanya and Tiana and David at the Omelette station always smiling. We had a couples massage with Kamille and Shurley. We always make sure to request them. They really make you feel relaxed and take all your pain and stress away. Room service was promptly at our door with our coffee and juice every morning at 7 a.m. Our nights are usually spent in or around the Wobbly Peacock. Such good times with Junior, Garnett, Tresell, Romaine, JLee and Collin. They make sure your glass is never empty ! We love to dine at LePapillon and usually manage to eat there most evenings. The food there is exquisite Best French Restaurant at any Sandals. The servers Chevy, Josef and Gavin are all top notch servers Chef Martin you do an outstanding job. From every restaurant we have had the pleasure of dining in to the SSG dinner to the VIP luncheon your talent really shines through We came to celebrate another New Years here and the party they throw is unbelievable. It was a great celebration. Good times had by all. Guests and staff both We saw Horacio from L&T and rebooked for New Years 2027/28. 26/27 was already booked. If you are thinking about coming to this little slice of paradise “ just do it” You won’t regret it. From the moment you arrive and look at the beautiful grounds that are so well kept by the landscaping team till the moment you depart with tears in your eyes you won’t be disappointed. It has been our third stay at this absolute gem of a Resort, and it never fails to embrace you as a long lost friend. The welcome (champagne and welcome song) as you step off the transfer bus is just a small indication of what is to come. Flying from the UK is 10 hours and then the transfer is 1.5 hours from Montego Bay airport. However, it is well worth enduring to get to this little piece of paradise. We went to our first returners dinner this time and it is so interesting that there are many returners who only come to this Sandals resort - there is a clear loyalty to the kind hearted ambience that just oozes from every member of staff here. There was definitely a sense of appreciation from clients at how quickly and efficiently Omar and his team had dealt with Hurricane Melissa damage and quickly got the RP back to its best. Omar the GM, and Marvin (Head of Ops) of visible every day, mingling with everyone and understanding how they can make your holiday experience the best it can be. True professionals who deserve all the praise in these reviews. This year we chose a room on the East Side as opposed to the larger suites on the West. There was a little more traffic noise this side and no lift (but good for your step count to use the stairs), but we soon got used to any noise and we enjoyed being closer to the gym and spa area. But either side we can't choose between really - the views are incredible both sides, the rooms are so clean and immaculate. Yes, I can understand why some reviews state the rooms are dated but upgrades have been made and we love the colonial feel of the place rather everything super modern. WE love the French balcony set up and don't miss an outside balcony as the resort offers so many secluded nooks in which to escape. You never feel there are masses of people here as there are just 74 rooms. When we go to the bigger Sandals resorts for the dinner options. WE enjoy the change of scene but really love coming home to RP and getting away from the larger crowds and busier night life. The whole staff team at RP seem to be on the mission to make your holiday be the best it can be. The staff who we felt helped us have a memorable stay were: Galdstone & Sherril our Butlers who checked in every day and planned our itinerary with ease. Nothing was too much trouble. Gladstone in particular was amazing at organising everything from trips out, Dunns River Sandals to ensuring the room bar was fully stocked with our favourite tipples and snacks. Marlyn was our amazing housekeeper. She was graceful and cheerful every day and we really enjoyed our interactions with her. The room was always immaculate and there was clear attention to detail in every way. The waiting on team at the Terrace always seemed to make our visits to this incredible location just wonderful. Even when we were late. Tianna who was professional and welcoming even at the busiest times. Vanya, Stephanie and Wayne who all added such to joy to the dining process and remembered those little extras you forgot yourself. Jamie, in Room Service who we met last year was efficient and always professional. It was lovely to see him flourishing in his role. Making sure we had everything we needed. Peter also from Room service who was dedicated to making sure we had all we needed. We also enjoyed a couple of treatments at the Spa and I have to say Shirley and Rhona were excellent therapists. The massages and after care were incredibly relaxing. I just wish I could book in every day! Romesh in Sales is always so cheerful and helpful re bookings. Horatio was also welcoming and even helped us with rules of the Pool Table - basically nothing is too much trouble. Romaine, Danielo and the wonderful beach butler colleagues keep you topped up with your favourite refreshments, and are always happy and productive in their work. The small but well equipped gym was our haven most mornings. I was sad to see the rowing machine was no longer there (my only minus 1), but Omar explained new equipment was en route. It was no problem and I took advantage of the other equipment as new treadmills and bikes had just arrived. All in all we had another fabulous stay. We arrive weary and stressed and leave lighter and refreshed. You cant fail to not feel the 'happy vibe' at RP. Thank you Omar and all the RP for another fantastic holiday. This was the best trip of our lives. The entire staff was Above and Beyond what we could have ever imagined. Omar and Marvin are great leaders. Our Butlers Orayne and Safiya made our trip wonderful. They helped us in celebrating our 25th anniversary. It was just the best experience ever. We were so happy, we rebooked for next Jan 2027. Can't wait to return.

From the moment we arrived at Royal Plantation we were treated like special guests. Practically every worker no matter what job they did knew us by name personally. There were so many special people that gave us outstanding service I can’t name them all but Omar the manager obviously does an outstanding job. We had our own private butler that was there to help us do or find anything we wanted. It was not hard to reach our butler and most of the time he or she sought us out. The accommodations are wonderful with a lovely beach area and a nice pool. This is a smaller more intimate resort so very easy to navigate. Food available whenever and wherever you wanted it. They would make you almost anything you wanted. Highly recommend. We kayaked and snorkeled right at the resort. Everything was easy and honestly the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever taken. Some of the people that made our experience so amazing are Norayne and Safeya, our butlers, Marvin who drove us to the other Sandals resort because he didn’t want us to have to wait, Kimisha, all the Romains, Danielle and so may others whose name escape me.

Our first time to SRP We are diamond members and have visited many Sandals resorts but SRP was phenomenal. From the moment we entered the sandals lounge at the airport to the day we departed the service was absolutely first class. The team at SRP ate led by Omar the GM He is a very special Man, all of the staff adore him and he adores them too. He knows every guests name and every evening he goes around the restaurants and greets the guests The staff we remember as being extra special were Janet our house keeper, Junior and Crocodile in the Wobbly Pracock Trevado the beach butler All of the water sports lads, Our butlers Orayne and Sophia were amazing Ramesh in TL The guest service manager a fantastic guy always happy and smiling, Also Marvin Omar's number 2 We were there for Xmas and new year The accomodation, service, restaurants, cleanliness were 100% Over driver Martin was adorable to We have booked again for Xmas and new year We have fallen in love with Omar, his amazing team and SRP Thankyou

All I have to say about Sandals Royal Plantation. Where in the world can you go to a resort and have your flight cancelled and the GM (Omar) is waiting on all guests that were cancelled to help rebook and extend people’s stay if needed. The service here is way more than anyone can ask for. Very personal treatment, made everyone very comfortable and relaxed after the high stressed morning. Thank you Omar and the Sandals crew

We were originally booked at Sandals Royal Caribbean but got relocated due to the Hurricane. We were worried that it would be just a 'fill in' and not up to the level we originally reserved-a beachfront room right on the beach with a soaking tub and a Dutler. We had little options left when we booked and chose Royal Plantation. We added Club Mobay which was a great idea for arrival and departure. Since we had visited Jamaica at Couples resorts 5 times previously, we knew Club Mobay was the way to get efficiently through the airport and Custome/Immigration. Our first introduction to the trip, was our private transport from the airport to the resort in a BMW-very comfortable for that 90 minute trip. Our driver was friendly and adept at the crazy traffic maneuvering that had to be done. Our arrival was lovely-singing staff with champagne awaited us and introduced us to our Butler who quickly got us settled and comfortable. This resort is very boutique and lovely-only 74 rooms which means the staff all know your name and it is a very personalized experience. The Butlers are outstanding and literally go out of their way to provide anything you want-you just have to ask. The food is absolutely outstanding as well-presentation, portions, menu selection, and overall taste and quality. We have never had better food or more options-who can complain about lobster for lunch served in your room or poolside? Butlers provide endless beverages and check on your refill status continuously. They provide additional extras like cheese and crackers in your room every afternoon, special reservations if you want to trysomewhere else, taxi service-you name it. For those with mobility issues, getting to the beach is quite tough-at least 50 stairs to get there and that means 50 stairs back. Most rooms have a step that separates the room from the bar/balcony area which can be easily missed or forgotten about and a real hazard. Most rooms do NOT have walk in showers so upgrades are nexessary for that convenience. Steep steps to get in the hot tub as well, so not for the handicapped. The beds are divinely comfortable and lines are top notch quality. Very few balconies are outside your room-most are French with just sliding doors-not what we had originally reserved. The staff assisted us with our mobility issues and made sure we had a room that was safe for us-that was outstanding. I have never knownmore accommodating staff anywhere. Overall, this is a lovely resort with many, many repeat customers, as you will fall in love with the atmosphere, food, staff and entire experience. We would definitely consider coming back since we met so many nice people we want to mingle with again as well as we want to have the RP experience again. The General Manager is exceptional and the entire staff love their jobs-you can see it and hear it in every area of this resort. If you are not into crowds and loud entertainment or activities but want to soak in the sun, atmosphere and RP excperience, this is a total win!

My wife and I want to share our appreciation for the outstanding experience we had at Sandals Royal Plantation. When our vacation was shifted from Royal Caribbean to Royal Plantation due to Hurricane Melissa, we were unsure what to expect. Honestly, we may never have chosen SRP otherwise—but what we found was truly exceptional. From arrival, the experience exceeded expectations. Being greeted by name by the General Manager and our butler immediately upon arrival set the tone for a level of hospitality that remained consistent throughout our stay and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Our butlers were outstanding—always available, attentive, and proactive. From meals to planning our week, every detail was handled effortlessly. We experienced a level of care and service that went well beyond anything we’ve encountered elsewhere. This was our fifth Sandals vacation, and without question, our best. While all Sandals resorts are excellent, the team at Sandals Royal Plantation raised the bar. They have earned our loyalty for life. We’ve already changed our 2026 visit to return here and booked an additional week for 2027. We can’t wait to come back.

For years we have talked about staying at Sandals Royal Plantation after seeing a video about the property on YouTube. Since we were staying at another resort in Ocho Rios this month, we added a three day stay here to get a little taste of the place. It was delicious! First things first, we planned the trip far in advance. Then Hurricane Melissa hit the island and we figured we would have to reschedule. Our arrival date was December 9, and to our surprise, the property reopened on December 6. We decided to go. It was a good decision. This is a very small, boutique resort designed in the classic British, Caribbean style. There are just over 70 total rooms. The grounds and buildings were in top condition, a shout-out to the staff who worked hard to recover from the hurricane. You could see where there was damage to the landscaping, but you had to look hard. As beautiful as the property is, the staff is what makes this place wonderful. It all starts with the GM, Omar. He is a ball of energy who greets you warmly and remembers your name, your likes and dislikes, and what you expect from your stay from the moment you arrive and throughout your entire stay. You never know when you might turn an corner and there he is with a welcome and a smile. Every room is a butler room here. Our butlers, Tamara and Safiya did a wonderful job making sure everything was just right. They were there when we needed them, but did not intrude at all when we wanted to be alone. An example of the service was after our first night. We had an issue with noise around our room. I just mentioned it in passing to Tamara, and within an an hour we were given a new room. Omar came by to also make sure we were satisfied with the change. The attention to detail is amazing. There are two beaches at Royal Plantation, the east and the west. One beach is for smokers so we stayed away from that one (we called it the stinky beach ... yes, we are that immature). The other is a wonderful white sand beach. No water shoes needed for this one. There are beach butlers who bring you anything you need while relaxing on the beach. Daniel was especially pleasant and helpful. When we go to Sandals we like to spend time in the resort's British Pub. The one at Royal Plantation is called The Wobbly Peacock. Kimmie and Junior were 2 of the bartenders at the pub and they were wonderful. I know this whole review looks like it was written by the Sandals PR department, but we really did have that good a time. We have rebooked and will return for a slightly longer stay in April.

Our most recent stay at Sandals Royal Plantation was an absolute dream. This is our 3rd visit. The views, food, and intimate setting were all top-notch, the true heart and soul of this resort are the incredible staff. I have to give a massive, heartfelt shout-out to the bartenders and servers—who truly operate with the grace and attentiveness of royal handmaids! From the moment we settled in by the pool or on the beach, we never had an empty glass or a moment of wanting for anything. The service was not just prompt; it was anticipatory. Our drinks were often refreshed before we even realized we were running low! The staff at The Wobbly Peacock, The Terrace, and the beach bars were exceptional. They learned our favorite orders instantly and delivered everything with a genuine smile and a cheerful chat. They were always circulating, ensuring every guest felt personally attended to, moving with a quiet efficiency that was truly impressive. Our room was serviced perfectly by Marilyn. She magically knew when we were out and we could return to a perfect clean room. She was so nice. Giovanni at the Terrace restaurant was amazing and friendly. Our room butlers Bebeato and Marvin always made sure we had everything we needed. The beach butlers Daniello, Trevardo and Romaine are THE BEST, you never go without a drink or food and they are so friendly and fun. It felt less like a large resort and more like being a treasured guest in a grand private estate, all thanks to the impeccable service. They are the definition of Luxury Included. If you're looking for a resort where the service elevates your vacation to an experience of pure, unadulterated pampering, look no further than Sandals Royal Plantation. Omar the GM remembers everyone and calls you by name every time he sees you and makes a point to visit everyone all day every day. We cannot wait to return and Horatio from the Loyalty and Travel team made sure to help us book our next vacation!

Arrived back today from Royal plantation. We were 5 days late returning because of hurricane Malissa. The level of care we received during and after the hurricane was beyond amazing, especially when they and their families had been through so much. Omar the general manager and every member of his staff should be applauded for making everyone’s stay so special. A special mention to our butlers Andre and Johovan for looking after us so well and to the beach butlers for keeping us topped up with cocktails. Already planning our next trip, as I can’t imagine not returning. Stay safe and preying that Jamaica and its wonderful people recover quickly from this awful natural disaster.
