My wife and I enjoyed The Reef Resort very much, especially the dual massage received from Ileana & Marabella Oceanside!

The Reef Coco Beach is right on the beach and not far from downtown which is the best part . The resort was not that crowded and relatively peaceful for being all ages. I didn't care for the buffet restaurant especially at breakfast, but we enjoyed the mexican, italian and asian restaurants which required reservations and it was not a problem at all to get in. The pool was large and we were able to get lounge chairs every day. I didnt appreciate the timeshare/sharks lurking everywhere the moment we arrived. We were pretty firm and declined all sales meetings and they left us alone after that. I felt bad for the polite guests who had to sit and talk with the sales people. There was an awful sewer smell when we walked out of our room, that lasted a few hours almost on a daily basis. Since we were rarely in our room it didnt really bother us to much. The beds were very comfortable and we slept fine with the AC going all night. The resort is only a 10 minute walk to the busy 5th Ave for restaurants and shopping. We were careful to walk down the well lit streets after dark and there was alot of law enforcement everywhere to ensure our safety. I might consider going back there if the price stays reasonable in comparison to the 5 star resorts that are way to far from downtown (5th Ave). We prefer to be within walking distance of things to do. Also the front desk, valet and every single worker there were very polite and helpful . This place was very clean and the pool view from our balcony was nice.

I nearly changed hotels based on some of the reviews but glad I never. Location was great on the beach, spacious clean rooms and decent all inclusive. Not far to walk to the main 5th Avenue, I thought it was really good value for money. My only gripe was the hard sell time share when you arrive when you’re tired and just want to rest, that’s the only thing which let it down.

Really lovely small hotel. We had such a lovely time here. The rooms are nice and big and clean. When I first arrived I loved the snack bar but got a bit bored after while but I think thats the same with most all inclusives. The main lunch and dinner buffets varied and I always found something nice to eat. I loved the breakfast and it was open till 11am.
If you want a quiet holiday this isnt really the hotel for you as it has quite a lively vibe with music by the pool and games with the entertainment. I didnt like any of the cocktails but my gin and tonics were strong so no complaints there. I wasnt bothered about having top shelf stuff. The only thing I didnt like drinks wise was you couldnt get a proper coffee on at the buffet or had to pay extra.
Itlaian restaurent was awful. Uncooked veg and pasta. My husband had thr most depressing steak. Thats the only restaurent we tried that wasnt the snack bar or buffet.
I would stay here again as its in a great location near shops and bars and restaurents if you want a change. Staff are friendly as well. Really big pool....although the sun mainly stays on one side of the pool so when it got busier its hard to get a lounger on that side unless youre early enough.

We stayed at the Reef Coco Beach from 7th November 2024 until 21st November 2024. During our stay it was our wedding anniversary. When we arrived in our room we were greeted with a lovely decorated room and ballon’s and sparkling wine.
The hotel itself is quite small but in a good way - Just a short walk to the very clean beach and lovely warm sea, the pool stretches nearly the length of the hotel.
The swim up bar was great and we spent a couple of afternoons making friends with other guests in the water.
Breakfast in the buffet restaurant always had lots of choice from freshly made omelettes to cereals, cheeses and salads. During the evening we mainly ate in the bookable restaurants. The food was excellent in both the Italian and Mexican restaurants. We didn’t t4 the Japanese restaurant.
All of the staff were very friendly and seemed to really enjoy working there. Very quickly the bar staff got to know our drinks order which was nice. However, whilst not a major complaint one of the animation team who ran the music quiz was a bit of a cheater we kept getting the answers correct for which we received one point. When someone from a different nationality got the answers correct they were given scores of between 12 and 20 points. We made a point of giving tips at the end of our stay to those staff who stood out in terms of customer service to us.
Even though we were all inclusive we still like to eat out, and it was great that 5th Avenue was just a short stroll away and was able to visit other bars and shops.
Overall, this is a great hotel, with great staff in a great location. We would loved to return to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.
Finally, as a qualified Scuba diver it was great that there is a dive shop at the hotel. I was lucky enough to dive with Bull Sharks. Unfortunatel, poor weather prevented further dives.

I went to the Spa Ya’ax for one of the packages offered to us poolside by one of the staff members. I had a facial, body scrub and full body massage at the spa salon where Gimrna was very pleasant handling the administrative duties that day. And then within my five day stay, I had two more full body massages on the beach. Excessive? Not at all. I had the same masseuse all three times and she was truly the best I have ever had in all my 73 years!!!!! She was responsive to my requests, truly knew the anatomy, and was extremely pleasant. I told her I wanted to bring her back to Canada! She has magic hands and a nurturing nature that seemed to make me feel a LOT better. As a fitness instructor, I can recommend her wholeheartedly and 1000000%. Her name is Nadia. Thank you Nadia. You were amazing!
