My husband and I were guests at this incredible resort in April last year and submitted our 5 star review on our return to the UK. We pledged to return again and re-booked for the end of April this year and we are literally counting the days. We regularly seek out YouTube videos of the resort, just to relive the wonderful experience we had last year and I truly think we're now as familiar with the resort as we are with our own home!! I can honestly say that, in all our travels and holiday experiences throughout our lives, neither my husband nor I have ever been as captivated by a hotel, resort or location as we have with Oberoi Beach Resort Mauritius. I cannot put into words just how great an impression this hotel and it's amazing staff has had on both of us. Suffice to say we are beyond excited to be returning for our 2nd visit in 6 short weeks time. We really cannot wait to see you all again.

We had a brilliant time at the Oberoi hotel. Everything from the food, service and facilities was fantastic. Special mention must be given to the chef Deepak who made us his special Tandoori Chicken which was not on the menu, but was delicious ! The star-gazing, the rum tasting and the special dinner in the herb garden were all highlights and everyone member of the staff made us feel welcome and relaxed - what a great team !

If you want relaxed luxury hotel situated directly on the beach then The Oberoi is for you.This hotel is just superb. we cannot find anything negative to say. The staff are just brilliant - all of them. There is nothing that is too much trouble for them so it is wrong to single any of them out. Ashna and Yash were great. Aum was bril. but ALL were great. The room was well appointed. The abundance of sun loungers good. As for the location of the Rock restaurant - cannot be beaten, with the lapping waves 2 or 3 yds away-soooo romantic. Well done Oberoi, we will be back!!!

A Luxurious Stay with Exceptional Hospitality at The Oberoi, Mauritius Our stay at The Oberoi, Mauritius, was nothing short of extraordinary. From the stunning property to the impeccable service, every detail exuded luxury and warmth. A special mention to Chef Deepak, whose Indian cuisine was truly outstanding. From crispy dosas and fluffy uttapams to some of the best chole bhature, aloo puri, poha, and rasmalai, every dish was crafted to perfection. His eggless croissants and pastries were a delightful surprise, and his kindness in packing theplas and mirchi parathas for our flight was deeply appreciated. Along with Chef Harry, he ensured that Indian flavors were celebrated in the most authentic and delicious way. Beyond the culinary excellence, the staff at The Oberoi deserves immense credit. From housekeeping to security and service staff, their hospitality was top-notch, making us feel truly special throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a luxurious getaway with exceptional Indian cuisine, The Oberoi, Mauritius, is highly recommended!

We visited the Oberoi on a special trip to celebrate a special anniversary and ‘landmark’ birthday. Our welcome was warm and our villa absolutely out of this world. We had booked a villa with pool and when we arrived (in the dark) were told that we also had a sea view. Having spent the previous week on a very active safari our plan was to just chill in the garden of our villa and apart from a visit to a local market and temple, that is what we did. Breakfasts were a joy, great variety, lovely service and of course the birds which were a constant source of joy throughout our stay. Dinner at On-The Rocks was fabulous and we would highly recommend- ambiance, food and service all perfect. We were a little disappointed by our Herb Trail meal as we felt the service a bit disjointed and thought that our meal would take us on a herb story, but after the first few courses (lovely and light) it was all about the fire pit - not being huge meat eaters it wasn’t really for us. We did meet some lovely people though and had a nice evening. The wonderful housekeeping staff did us proud, always doing a wonderful job. They decorated the room for my birthday, complete with cake and ran us a goodbye bath on our leaving night. We were also treated to cake and fizz on our arrival for our anniversary and felt completely spoilt by the end of our stay. We could have taken advantage of trips and yoga etc but the garden, pool and birdlife just wouldn’t let us go. One highlight was the dusk chorus from the nearby Banyan Tree and Weaver Birds - spectacular. Oh and when my husband left his belt behind by mistake, they responded to my e-mail immediately and posted it to us. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special.

The Oberoi Mauritius based on the design of the Oberoi in Bali so it has a very Indonesian vibe. It has individual rooms with patios and many with sea views. The main attraction are the villas. Most are one bedroom with a private garden or enclosed garden, Pavillion, and private pool. We had a villa with pool and sea view which was wonderful with flowers, birds, and visiting ducks. The vills aren't huge but the outdoor space makes it's size unimportant. Staff were very helpful and they had multiple (free) events for guests such as glass bottom boats, rum tasting, local dancers, and guest receptions. There are two resturants and a bar with ocean views. Both resturants are of the quality expected at this level of property but not exceptional. For longer stays you will probably want to dine off property a few nights. It's a beautiful property, perfect for relaxing on property. Another quality Oberoi property.

We have stayed in many 5 star hotels all over the world, which we have enjoyed, but the Oberoi Mauritius is a true gem. We were limited with having only a week off work, so we wanted somewhere we could just relax without doing too much. The Oberoi was perfect. After a long cramped flight we were collected from the airport by the lovely Raj, in the hotel car. Raj gave us a potted history of the island, and the journey flew by. There were free activities every day, including painting and cooking classes. Sunita was the chef for the cooking class, and she was the star of the Oberoi for me. I didn't say I was vegetarian when I booked the class, but she changed the menu for me and went out of her way to make our time special with the help of Krishna and Harry. The food was top class even for vegetarians. There were free water sports and star gazing. There were also free wellness sessions every day. Henrio was my guru. The meditation and tai chi classes were wonderful. Ronnie did a great workout, and Amanda was a wonderful masseur. On my birthday, I was made to feel very special with bucks fizz at breakfast and my room decorated with balloons. My impression of this hotel, which is different from others I have stayed in, is that the emphasis is not on making more money from you during your stay but ensuring you are happy. There is no expectation of tips, and they are usually refused. The locals access the beach through the hotel and are treated with respect. The hotel manager, Mr Pandy, is very "hands-on," making time to speak to all the guests. Along with the gardens and birds, this all contributes to the ambience at this hotel that makes it so special. We try not to go to places again, but I think this will be an exception

I had a very enjoyable birthday dinner at the Oberoi on the in January at the Restaurant. We went there as a couple. Enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere and the food was exceptional. Great service from the restaurant crew. I would highly recommend.

From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble for the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The room was utterly unbelievable, and the food was simply amazing! The adults only pool and jacuzzi were our sanctuary. Truly an unforgettable stay and will definitely be back.
