There is not a more relaxing, small, private, tropical resort in the world! We loved that everything is outdoors. There are no elevators here only palm trees, hibiscus flowers, birds chirping, and the cutest cats wandering the grounds. We loved the food, the warm water at the beach, the friendliest staff, and the private feel of the rooms. Seriously it's not a surprise at all how many returning guests we met while here. Once you stay once, you'll never want to go anywhere else.

We spent a week at Sunset at the Palms. It was a great experience. This is a quaint resort with rustic "Tree House" rooms, wandering paths, a ton of birds and interesting plants and flowers throughout. There are only 2 rooms per Tree House, so the rooms are very private....

We spent a week at Sunset at the Palms. It was a great experience. This is a quaint resort with rustic "Tree House" rooms, wandering paths, a ton of birds and interesting plants and flowers throughout. There are only 2 rooms per Tree House, so the rooms are very private. They are also well finished and maintained and the A/C worked great. The pool isn't huge, but this is not a Mega-resort and there is a pool bar. The star of the show is their beach. Though it's across the street this allows for substantial room, wonderful views, great walks, minimal surf, clean, well maintained and full service. The crossing guard is always there to help and the beach closes at 7:00. We never found the beach closing an issue as we were pretty spent by that time. All of the dining areas are open-air, with fans and we found them quite comfortable. The concierge and all tge staff were great and always there to enhance your stay. Truly a unique resort and destination

We loved the resort, the birds and lizards. Beautiful and peaceful. The grounds and beach were spectacular. Food was top notch at the restaurants, the beach grill and the a la carte. The people were the best. I cant name them all, but here are a few: Britney, bar person, Damion, life guard/beach, Shanica at the blue cafe, Curt one of the chefs at the "chefs choice dinner, Cashway at the martini bar, Tanisha the supervisor at chefs choice and Amanda and Krystal at the front desk. Spent most of our time at the beach and it was amazing. Crystal clear water excellent beach, and the food and drinks were delicious. The only thing that was a little annoying was the traffic noise, That being said the crossing guards were fantastic keeping us very relaxed people safe from the traffic. Definitely the guardian angels of Sunset at The Palms. Thanks to the whole crew at the resort, it was a great experience.

Excellent, absolutely beautiful, peaceful resort. Very particular and original. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the resort for you. The greenery and amount of different plant species on the site are absolutely spectacular. The style and originality of the treetop rooms are stunning. Highly recommended. Enjoy.

The resort was gorgeous throughout. The grounds were beautiful and well taken care of-lush palms and fragrant flowers along our walk to our unit. The individual treehouses made us feel like we were vacationing on our own and the beds were comfortable. We had great food at the Lotus Leaf and Chef's Showcase. The waitstaff, concierge, crossing guards, beach attendants were all very friendly and helpful. There was a short walk across the street to the beach area, which we didn't mind at all. We never had to fight for a good spot on the beach. The mixed drinks were great, especially the Orange Blossom and Pina Colada's. There atmosphere was great for couples looking to relax and take it easy in a more intimate setting. The entertainment ranged from a steel drum player/singer to a reggae trio to a full band. Brenda and Davina provided a relaxing massage on our 2nd day which was great after being on a plane all day. Overall, we had an amazing time and can't wait to return.

We recently stayed at Sunset at The Palms and let me start by saying the resort is beautiful!!!!!! The staff were amazing and very helpful whenever we needed anything . The issue was with the food and drinks, they unfortunately were terrible. We read a lot of reviews about how great the food was but it unfortunately was not good at all. The other issue we had was the entertainment was minimal at best. We did not go there to “party” but something more than a piano bar for entertainment would have been nice to see. Also it seems that the resort was very popular for an older age bracket (like 70+) which is fine but just not our vibe. Again the resort is beautiful and the staff are great but this is not a resort we would recommend anyone to go to for the honest reasons I listed. Thanks to the staff for trying their best each day!

This was our sixth stay at this hotel. We keep coming back not only because of the beautiful sea, the snow-white beach and the enchanting nature, the excellent food, but mainly because of the people who work here. Over the years we have already formed special relationships with many of them that could be called friendships. We can feel that they take care of their guests, for example, by remembering what coffee or wine we like, where we like to lie on the beach, and by preparing our favourite sandwich for our departure. Just to name a few, Trudy and Tavrik from reception, Clodete, Shanon from the bar and restaurant in the hotel as well as on the beach, Charles Chambers from the kitchen, Delsey from the beach and Gladstone Norman from engneering. I am already looking for a suitable date to stay next year.

We were so impressed with this resort and we have been to our fair share of all inclusive!! The staff were super friendly, accommodating, welcoming and I mean everyone from servers, landscaping, housekeeping, maintenance, everyone you pass greats you and asks “how are you doing today?” Everything was clean and well groomed. We stayed in a tree top room or cabin as I called it. The bed was very comfortable, lots of pillows, the deck had a gorgeous lush tropical view. You could open the doors and enjoy it right from the bed. The food was outstanding!! Different every night at the buffet and extra theme night dishes. The Chef’s Showcase, one of the a’la carte restaurants, truly wonderful! I had a special dietary requirement, and the chef came over to my table that night and made sure that I was able to taste all of the flavours of his menu without compromising my restrictions. I’ve never encountered that at any other resort. Let’s talk about the beach..The private beach is a piece of heaven! It is not overcrowded like most large resorts. The water is calm, as it’s in a bay, a beautiful swimming area so bring a floaty, plenty of sun and shade spots for all. Of special note; the second last day we were there, I was in the shower when one of my diamond stud earrings fell out and went down the drain. The maintenance staff responded extremely quickly, they opened the trap under the cabin and found my earring! It’s that type of care & attention, along with the fact that we met a large number of return guests during our stay, which speaks volumes to the resort and its staff. You arrive as a new friend, and leave as part of the Sunset at the Palms family.

I am torn between shouting our experience from the rooftops or keeping this little gem a secret. This place is nothing short of amazing! We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to return. We loved it so much that next time will be a much longer stay! The service and food are by far the best of any all-inclusive resort we have stayed in the Caribbean. I do not think I could say enough extraordinary things about the staff! While planning our trip, I read hundreds of reviews and stumbled upon this resort by accident. All the reviews were spot-on except no one mentioned this resort is occupied by mainly older couples - and by "older" I mean mainly retired-plus age. We in our mid to late 40s and we were definitely the minority age group. We met some lifetime friends and everyone, of all ages, are super nice but this place is quiet, very quiet. Although this was perfect for us it may not be perfect for some. We were initially welcomed to the property with the sweetest smiles and kindness of the concierge staff. Our room was inviting and covered with beautiful flower petals, as well as robes on our bed and homemade cookies. The fridge was stocked with soda, water and beer and was replenished each day by housekeeping. This resort is cozy, and everything within the resort is a quick walk away, including the beach across the street. The treehouse rooms are a much better alternative to the high-rise hotels but could use a little updating. We loved the beams, high ceilings and spaciousness of our room but our showerheads didn't work well, and the walls could certainly use some fresh paint. These are all minor and did not take away from our total experience here. Again, we cannot wait to return. At Sunset at the Palms, you arrive as friends and leave as family.

We've stayed at about twelve resorts in the Caribbean, and this one is at the top of our favorite's list. It's very laid back, no loud party areas, and we really appreciated that. The service was excellent, the staff there are on top of everything. The food was really good. Most nights we had the buffet, which was the best buffet we've had at a resort. One night we ate at the Lotus Leaf, and another night we did the Chef's Showcase. We enjoyed both. The breakfast buffet was hands down the best. For a smaller resort, we were impressed with the entertainment. They have a sing along type pianist most nights, a Reggae band came a couple nights, and there was Karaoke one night. The rooms are set back in a very tropical like setting, you feel like you're staying in a botanical garden. The rooms were very comfortable, the AC worked great, and the bed was comfortable (not hard or overly soft). One of their gardeners of 20 years (Lynford) does a tour a few times a week, where he describes all the plants and flowers on the property, that was a nice touch. Their spot on the beach is perfect. Their beach area is very chill, no loud music, plenty of shade, bathrooms, a grill and a bar. I was really impressed with the number of great beach chair spots that had shade, everyone got a great spot, and you didn't have to get there at 7am to claim one. Even if you showed up at 11am, you got a good spot. Just down the beach is a number of vendors where you can shop for local crafts. You can also take a nice stroll in either direction, since they are in a quarter moon shaped bay, it's about 3/4 mile in either direction until it dead ends. Also, the area felt very safe. Local vendors will walk by selling things from time to time, but they are not pushy (most were comical, and the crowd loved them), and the staff at the resort keep an eye on them. We never worried about our belongings when we got up to use the restrooms or get some food. We did a couple excursions, which the concierge did a great job setting up for us. We did an afternoon catamaran tour that took us snorkeling then to the famous Rick's Cafe, and was timed so the ride back was during the sunset. We also took a private taxi to Appleton Estate's Rum Experience. It was a couple hour drive, and the concierge set us up with an excellent cab driver that was basically a tour guide on the way there, and he drove very gently. Appleton has a great setup, and does an excellent tour. For being there during the busy season, we never felt like we were somewhere busy, they are very well staffed to make everyone feel like their most important guest. Lastly, we met a number of people that have been there 10+ times, which is a testament to how great Sunset at the Palms is.

Definitely worth returning to. Showing its age a little, but lovely at every turn. The food is yummy, the personnel could not be more friendly. Shame on the Palms for not repairing its beautiful grand piano for Paul, the well loved piano man.

If you’re looking for satisfying customer service..this is your place The resort isn’t the newest or modern however it’s clean and comfortable. But the staff is what makes this place an amazing experience. Can’t think of any company that can surpass their customer service in 2025..

10/10 highly recommend. Lynette in the first shop is amazing! We went for my boyfriend’s 50th birthday and we had a blast. The beach is beautiful and the staff are so nice. We had the hot tub and pool to ourselves every night. We love the peacefulness of this resort.

Arrived exhausted after a long flight from the UK but as soon as we entered SSATP we were welcomed by the friendly reception staff and given a quick tour of the hotel before being shown to our cabin. We were blown away by the beautiful gardens ( Linford the head gardener is the tops),we could hear the Tree frogs as we walked along to our cabin. The bed was super king sized and very comfortable. The room was large with a well stocked fridge,but did lack any drawers. We did have a closet to store clothes,which was acceptable ,if a little quirky . The food here was excellent, the wine served with our meals was very acceptable. There were local fruits,vegetables alongside a good choice of meat/fish dishes. We never had to queue to be seated at a table in any of the restaurants or beach bar. The beach is beautiful and we watched the sunset on Wednesday the restaurant is moved to the beach (unless there's a storm) where an amazing barbecue takes place. The staff were friendly ,helpful and polite throughout our two week stay. The pool and the surrounding area were immaculately kept clean, towels plentiful and a fantastic pool bar serving delicious cocktails and drinks. The coffee bar was just behind the pool so life was easy & we had the most relaxing holiday ever ! There wasn't a lot of entertainment in the evening but there was a band on a few evenings, a singer and a great pianist. We were more than happy to sit with a 'Jiggy Coffee' and chat to fellow guests and staff. We took a trip to the YS Falls which was organised by the hotel for us. We traveled with 4 other lovely guests in a mini bus/ taxi driven by the incredible Sinclair. This man is a gem ! He chatted to us throughout the trip telling us lots of stories about life in Jamaica and made the 2 hr journey to the falls enjoyable. After a swim in the falls we went to the Black River Safari where we saw several crocs in their natural habitat. After a fantastic holiday we hope to become green band holders on our next visit and join the many other returnees to this unique hotel.

The beach is across the road, but there is a full bar, food and restrooms there. We never had an issue getting a lounger, but they are in need of replacing a big number of chairs. Overall the resort is OK, but for the price point it doesn’t hit the mark.

We just returned from an amazing Babymoon to Sunset at the Palms. It was so relaxing and quiet, the perfect place to re-charge. The staff is wonderful, and the food is delicious - not your standard mass-produced all-inclusive junk! The Lotus Leaf Restaurant and Chef's Showcase Dinner were both fantastic. The small boutique setting means you get to know the staff and even other guests by Day 2. Definitely not a party location, if want a club atmosphere than you should go somewhere else. The Palms is for those who want to relax, reconnect and experience wonderful service. Very loyal guest population, especially for a Caribbean all-inclusive...most of the couples we met were on their 2nd or 3rd return trip and we can understand why! Strongly recommend you see Petulia at the on-site Spa if you want a great massage, she is excellent! Also, do yourself a favor and book your airport transportation with Lloyd, he will get you there quickly but safely. Only negative is street noise (sometimes loud) can be heard from the rooms - bring ear plugs or download a white noise app if you're a light sleeper.

Possibly the most relaxing 4 Days we have ever had. We went here after our wedding for a short honeymoon and it was the get away we needed. The Staff was attentive and kind, the Food was great, the drinks were strong and all the other guests were there for the same thing; To relax and do nothing! It was fantastic to connect with people from around the world without feeling like your in a rat race for amenities or events. The resort is beautifully landscaped and all the tree houses (rooms) are situated within a tropical botanical garden that enhances the relaxation experience. The Resort hosts social events every night that were a blast: from Karaoke to live music to a mixology class, which was more of a cocktail tasting rather than class! The best thing was that you could opt out of any of these events and it would not disrupt your ability for privacy and seclusion if you were looking for less socialization. The resort is older and not as modern as some other all-inclusive resorts, but that enhances the relaxation experience. It felt like you were staying in a family cottage and not just another hotel room. It was overall a great experience. We would definitely consider coming back and would recommend to those who want to relax. The Pros: 1. The Scenery is beautiful. You feel like your in the rain forest. The greenery is relaxing and different than an urban setting. The sunsets on the beach were absolutely stunning. 2. This is a place to relax: sit at the pool or beach, get served drinks, ignore responsibilities, and be unbothered. Catch up on your reading list, unplug and sit and enjoy the sounds of the birds, waves, and reggae. 3. Staff is very attentive and kind. Smiles and kindness go a long way here! The vibes reciprocate! 4. If you are an active person, they have paddleboarding, kayaking, and pedal boats available. You can walk on the beach if you would like or the have a great Gym that is hardly used. You do not need to miss your work out schedule. 5. Lots of people here make it their yearly vacation and keep coming back again and again. It shows how enjoyable it really is. The Cons: 1. The resort is about 1.5 Hours away from MBJ Airport, however, we did enjoy seeing the Jamaican Coastline. We would highly recommend the private Shuttle to save on time and get to relaxation as quickly as possible. 2. The Resort is located on a major road and can be heard throughout the night. Not too bad if you are used to living with road noise, but if you are not used to it, it could be a problem. Additionally, there is a private airport in close proximity, that you can hear and see small planes take off and land. It is not a very busy airport, but still noticeable. 3. If you are looking for a big party or club scene, there is not the resort for you. The lounge events end at 11pm and the birds will wake you up at sunrise. 4. The beach does have people trying to sell things and play music for money, which could be seen as a nuance to some. They move along quickly and the resorts security prevent people from being bothersome. 5. Like many resorts in the Caribbean, I do not know if we would have ventured too far from the resort. Recommendations: -Book the Private Shuttle from the Airport -The Catamaran to Rick's Cafe was a blast! Note: it is loud and the music is more club-like than relaxing. The Crew makes it very fun. -Breakfast with Betty was very unique and enjoyable if your an animal lover.

We enjoyed a romantic Valentines Week at this lovely low-key getaway! Comfy spacious room elevated among the lush trees, easy short walk to the main lodge for dining and piano bar, and a stroll to the nearby beach for sunning or Hobie Cat sailing, made for a relaxing experience. Staff are attuned, gracious and engaging. Paul at the alternate-evenings piano has a twinkle in his eye and joy in his soul. Wednesday evening beach dinner gives special attention to guests who know a Good Thing and return for repeat stays. Montego Bay airport pickup and return was seamless.

Just returned after two week stay at Sunset at the Palms. The vibe at the hotel is very laid back, quiet and peaceful. Big shout out to all hotel staff, welcoming and friendly. Can’t remember all the names, but thanks to Tamika, the lady with the generous bosom, who made my wife feel so special on our first night, Claudette, Tishuana, Nadine, Alison, Andre, Jason, Britney and Bianka on reception, to name but a few, all the staff working on the beach, who kept it pristine. Really enjoyed our stay at The Palms and would return in a heartbeat. Just one slight criticism: Mini bar in room could be better stocked, maybe with some miniature spirits and soft drinks. Thank you Sunset for a lovely holiday, hopefully see you soon.

There was always some entertainment going on at night , but not a party place if your after that . We always gave tips out of respect for the staff who work so hard and make this place special we will be returning

If you don't like the big or compound style resorts, this s definitely your place. As I said, the staff is so wonderful. Everyone is so personable and you do get to have a repertoire with them. Lynette, who runs the gift shop was amazing to have conversations with and was always so helpful — whatever we needed, she helped us out with it. We had to hug before I left, she's that epic! I love that they pre-book you for your special dining experiences, all of which were superb. These chefs clearly put love into their food, beside their quality cooking skills. I could keep going on and on... just do it. You won't regret it. Just remember to treat the staff well — not just with manners — with tips. They work long, hard hours and do it with genuine smiles and big hearts, all while making your experience top-tier.

We spent a great week at this fantastic hotel. The rooms are very clean, spacious and well kept. We ate at all 3 restaurants with plenty of choice and all 5 star. What really makes this hotel though is the amazing staff. All staff are so attentive, happy and can’t do enough for you. We have just returned from our seventh visit to Sunset at The Palms, and we will be booking again for 2026 very soon. SATP is the place to relax and recharge your batteries. Each year we are welcomed back by the incredible staff who always go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The cabins are set in stunning gardens, filled with birdsong and beautiful flowers. The entertainment is low key. Many a happy evening can be spent around the piano with Paul, the pianist, singing along with fellow guests whilst sipping delicious martini cocktails. The beach is stunning, kept scrupulously clean by the beach staff who will help you find a shady spot to put your sunbed and enjoy a cooling drink. The beach restaurant and bar serve excellent food and drink and the sea is crystal clear. We meet many returning guests each year who have now become firm friends as have the staff. This place is Nirvana!

My wife and I just returned from our stay at the sunset at the palm resort in Negril. The highlight of our trip was without a doubt, the wonderful people who work at the resort. From Claudette, to Nadine, to Odine, Cashwayne, and Shirlane, the list goes on. The resort and the grounds are beautiful, although the rooms are little dated and in need of a refresh. Don’t forget your big spray, this is a must as the resort is in what might be considered a rainforest. This resort is not directly on the beach, having said that, don’t let that influence your decision to book. The walk to the beach is less than 5 minutes. The food was, as expected I would say. We have been to Jamaica several times and the food does not disappoint. Sunset palm is no different, we could always find something delicious to eat. If going as a couple I would suggest the couples massage. It was one of the highlights of our vacation. For the most part our vacation was very satisfying. As far as negatives…there are a couple. We were only able to book one a la carte dinner during our 7 day stay. This was a huge disappointment for us. When you are paying what we consider a significant amount of money for a vacation, the expectations are greater, and in this case the resort fell below those expectations. Secondly, although not a huge negative, the resort is adjacent to a busy road. The noise from the traffic was at times loud and as a result took away from the overall experience. Rating the experience on a scale from 1 to 5. Rooms 3 Food 4 Beach 3.5 Staff 5 Overall experience 3.5-4

Awesome place. It's amazing to go from a jungle experience and then cross the street to a beautiful private beach. Everyone was extremely friendly, service and food were great. My wife loved the gift shop, where surprisingly the prices were comparable to the vendors out on the beach. That said, the only issue was getting there. At the airport in Florida, we weren't able to check in because we needed a C5 form from the Jamaican government. No one told us this in advance, neither the airline OR the resort. By the time it was resolved (including getting ripped off by a scam website) we missed our flight and there wasn't another until the next day. So we had to book a hotel there and got to the Palms a day late. We requested a credit for the $700 for the first night, as we didn't stay, eat, etc. but were told that couldn't be done. We're hoping they might bless us with a credit on a future stay because we would very much like to return.

He’s a great guy—friendly and very knowledgeable .. The people are so warm and happy to help you. They are all very friendly but some of my favorites are Nadine, Allison, Kirk, Cash Kevon. Petulia gives an amazing massage and facial. They have a very nice swim up bar, nice piano bar too. Very nice beach bar. They set up your chairs and towels. It’s a wonderful place to relax and have fun We will be going back!

Our 4th time staying here and still as peaceful as ever. This place is an experience likeno other. Once you go you know. The grounds are so beautiful and Lynford is so proud of his work. He will give you a hummingbird feeder to put close to your balcony if you want. He will tell you about the birds and plants that are all over the property. All the staff throughout the resort are so kind and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you are "alright". The food is very good, the special dinners are worth taking in. They are amazing. The rooms could use some updating, with that said they are clean and comfortable. The bed is very comfortable. The balcony is an absolute highlight! Looking forward to our next visit. Tip: Bring bug spray!

After much research and wanting to steer clear of the larger AI experience, we selected SATP to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We also traveled with 3 other couples. There’s so many things to love about this resort. I’ll highlight a few below. The lush, green grounds are truly something. One of my favorite experiences was relaxing on the treehouse balcony, listening to the birds and seeing the gorgeous palms and plants all around. The walk to the restaurants and around the resort allows up to admire more of the well-planned landscape. It’s so very beautiful. The staff here is second to none. Although I don’t recall the names of everyone encountered, I felt Britney, Kash, Odine and Lynette stood out. While walking around we also lucked out and ran into Lynwood who gave us insight as to his landscape plan and highlighted a few of his favorite plants. The staff is friendly, hard working, and will strive to enhance your experience. The food is very good. If you’re expecting a large, sprawling Buffett found at mega AI’s you’ll be disappointed. Instead, at SATP, you’ll find fresh food, some with local flair and cooked to order choices as well. The Chefs Showcase was really nice. Overall, I loved everything about our stay here. Our group of 8 all said they’d return. It’s truly a special experience. I cannot wait to see you again, Sunset at the Palms.

The coffee bar was also very good. We loved the Blue mountain coffee. A nice expresso or cappuccino was perfect after a nap at the beach. Nightly entertainment was fun and engaging. Reggae, Paul, the piano man we’re all entertaining. We loved the spa as well. The outdoor couples massage added to the zen and relaxing nature of the property. The beach was beautiful. If I had anything that I'd like to see improved. It would be the food at the beach bar. It did not meet the standards of the other dining options. Overall I think Sunset at the Pals is a gem.

The whole resort is small enough to be intimate and large enough to offer excellent services. The staff was attentive, friendly and professional. The a la carte restaurants, especially the Chef's Showcase, was the best I've had in any resort. The beach, although across the road from the main resort, was gorgeous with clear warm azure water and clean white sands. My only disappointment was that the espresso machine was broken for half of the week we were there, but that was minor compared to the great experience we had. We definitely will consider going there again!

The people here make the experience. When booking a trip, I take a lot of time researching places that are safe, reputable, clean, and welcoming. I try to focus on the location as well so we can explore the area while also enjoying the amentities offered. Sunset at the Palms checks all of those boxes and even more. Location & Amentities: Sunset is a small, quiet, and private resort located across from 7 mile beach. You'll find yourself in a tropical setting, surrounded by wildlife such as lizards, humming birds, and even some cute kitties. They have a private beach that can be accessed by crossing a road, in which they have a crossing guard stationed at. The beach has a bar and grill, as well as various seating options. I never felt like I had to try to secure a spot at the beach here. There was always more than enough room. The same is to be said about the dining experience. There is always somewhere to sit at all hours of the day. There is a gym on the property which I found to be very nice. The entertainment was unforgettable, where we experienced Piano Paul, steel drums, a reggae band, karaoke, and Jamaican cooking classes. The tree hurts are a part of history, and they are wonderfully maintained. Food: The food here is authentic and delicious. The chefs here are amazing, and really go out of their way to connect with you. The breakfast buffet has great options like jerk sausage, bacon, a made-to-order egg bar, and fresh fruit. The lunch menu is great and offers familiar choices with a Jamaican twist like jerk chicken quesadillas and even pizza on certain days. The dinner buffet was our favorite, as each night had a different theme of food offered. The chefs showcase was elegant and well done, and the lotus leaf was a similarly wonderful experience. Staff: At my private dinner, I had a question about what they used in the mashed potatoes. Andre, our waiter, went out of his way to have the chef come to our table and tell us how they were made. The hospitality here is something I have never experienced before. Lenford, one of the groundskeepers, gave an extensive and informative tour of the gardens. He made me up a beautiful bouquet for my room which I loved looking at every morning. Biana in concierge was beyond helpful for making sure all our excursions were scheduled. Olivia in housekeeping made our room spotless and put great care into the little details of the room. Britni at the bar did a wonderful job of making our drinks, and Jason who had waited on us a few times was hilarious and made us feel right at home. Overall, the staff is so wonderful and they really make you feel like a part of the family. They were the highlight of our trip and I can't thank them enough for all of the hard work they do. Sunset at the Palms offers an unforgettable experience unlike anything I've seen. If you want a relaxing vacation with plenty to do, this is the place for you.

Tameka is an excellent server and has a beautiful voice…don’t make her shy.. Linford keeps the gardens looking so nice. Basil wrangles the goats and will tell you all about them. I recommend breakfast with the goats. The cooking staff is A1. These people have been there every year with the exception of a couple I mentioned but great new additions. Let’s not forget Cornelius as he has been there 16 years. Amazing! I have to mention Captain Kirk. So much fun…thanks for laughs. I’m saving my brother from another mother Odine for last. He’s the best. Miss laughing and talking to him already but we will keep in touch. Had lots of fun with you all. See you in a minute!

Everything was so wonderful it was the most romantic vacation we have ever taken the moment I got home I scheduled another trip but Thanksgiving week. Everything was number one the people were amazing the service was amazing can't say enough about it

This resort is truly a hidden gem. From arrival to departure everything and everyone was wonderful. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is a memorable one. The chefs showcase and Lotus leaf restaurants are definitely worth reserving. The food and presentation are simply amazing. The beach is well kept has zero entry and no rocks. Lunch service on the beach is fantastic you don't have to leave your lounger. The rooms could use a little updating, but who goes to Jamaica to spend time in the room. We will definitely return.

This is a gem of a resort. We had a fantastic time, albeit too short. We were there for the weekend, but you need a full four or five days to really enjoy the resort. The staff are incredible, and really made this a memorable experience. We will be back.

Can I first say all the staff were so nice and helpful and did so much to make our holiday a good one so thankyou for that x The resort itself was glorious the gardens were kept beautiful and so many different birds wow!! Our room was lovely that's why I picked this resort as it's small compared to all the resorts near it!! But it was the accommodation I liked we had the wooden balcony and asked for a bird feeder which they gave us straight away so it attracted so many birds even 2 woodpeckers came daily ( we left biscuits out for them) room 704 The swimming pool was lovely aswell and not over crowded just a hand full of people and of course the swim up bar was a bonus. I had lunch with Betty the goat and 2 other goats ha ha it was brilliant and got to feed them jacob the Gardner was with me who was extremely knowledgeable about the beautiful gardens and he cared for the goats. The beach is only a few minutes walk with a clear warm sea no waves so calm and beautiful, but be careful when walking as I got stung twice as there are bees on the sand just be mindful, the food at the beach bar is ok but I'm vegetarian so it was limited for me. The food in the hotel was OK but slightly disappointing as I'm vegetarian again it's limited for what I can have and I was also disappointed about the amount of food offered as other resorts have had such amazing food and fruits and pastries and a coffee machine to help yourself so that's the reason why I've given 4 stars, they do have a coffee machine but it broke and wasn't mended so there was no cappuccino which I really love They could also do with hanging hooks in the rooms and maybe a small line on the balcony as there was nowhere to hang wet stuff. The beach could do with more umbrellas as there was only a limited amount so we kept moving our chairs in the shade when it was hot!! There are cats on the resort which i fed everyday lol so if you can feed them that's great. It is a quiet resort which I love ❤️ another reason why I picked it. But overall the resort was wonderfull and we will return one day definitely. Thankyou for such a lovely holiday sunset at the palms 🌴 💕

This resort is perfect for couples looking for a laid-back, chill atmosphere at a small, intimate location. We will definitely return! We just got back from celebrating my birthday in Negril. Before our visit, we made reservations at the Lotus Leaf, their à la carte restaurant. They had balloons waiting and even sang “Happy Birthday!” Although the chef doesn’t normally make saltfish and ackee for breakfast on Tuesdays, he made it just for me since we had to leave early Wednesday morning at 6 a.m. So amazing! Room: Comfy The rooms are rustic, but the bathrooms are modern and clean. Staff: Amazing!!! PLEASE bring cash to tip the staff—they truly deserve it. Every single team member was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We highly recommend working with Crystal at the front desk. Shout out to Brittany for the rum punches! Food: Limited, but some highlights 60/40 if you like well-seasoned food. Breakfast: The saltfish and ackee, callaloo, and made-to-order eggs/omelets were great. Lunch: Barely average if you like your food flavorful. It seems like lunch isn’t a priority since many guests are offsite during the day. However, the beach grill is a solid option—I had the fish sandwich and onion rings, and both were good. Dinner: Seafood night was a highlight! Desserts are mostly small squares of cake that weren’t great, but the tarts were very tasty. You can take food back to your room—we did this twice. Spa: Peaceful We booked the couples massage, and it was relaxing and enjoyable. Beach: Beautiful You have to cross the street to access the beach, but it’s not a big deal. There's a crossing guard because traffic moves quickly. The staff sets up chairs and a small table, provides towels, and there are pool floats available. The sand is smooth and the water is stunning. You can get unlimited drinks at the beach bar and order lunch right there. Atmosphere: Friendly! Most guests we met were kind and welcoming. There are lots of cats around (likely to keep critters away), but they were harmless. As cat lovers, we didn’t mind when they came by our table. I’m in my mid-30s and was one of the youngest guests—most were 50+. Airport Transfer: Prompt & Reliable Our driver, Lloyd, was great. The private airport transfer is $99 per person roundtrip, and I recommend it. The ride from the airport takes about 90 minutes. Overall: A romantic escape I have zero complaints about this place. It’s definitely a resort for lovebirds. If you're a foodie, try the local restaurants for a more flavorful experience. We heard great things about Miss Lily’s but didn’t get a chance to try it. Cons: - The live entertainment... - The “private” beach isn’t actually private—be prepared for constant soliciting. - Italian night was awful. The made-to-order pasta was beyond bland.

This was our 11th visit to Sunset. I’ve never written a review because it’s not something I normally do. Anyone who is not happy with staying here obviously did not do their homework. This is not a glittery marbleized crazy type of a hotel. It’s obvious by the pictures and the description. This place is exactly what you see and what they tell you. As they say, what you see is what you get. We love this place. That’s why we’ve been here 11 times. It would be 12 other than Covid. The staff could not be any better, especially Kadian. Kadian McPherson at the front desk takes care of everything and everyone. I have never had any type of an issue that she could not fix and that also includes everyone at the front desk and throughout the resort. Do your homework when it comes to Sunset at the Palms. Treehouse atmosphere, super super quiet, quieter than you could possibly imagine. No loud music none of that. No kids. Beach crew keeps everything spotless. I don’t know what else to say other than 12 out of 10 stars. Do your homework, this place is fabulous. Just spent seven days there in April 2025.

The truth and nothing but the truth. Resort was a long drive from the airport, which we knew was between 1.5 - 2 hours long but we figured it's a 5 star Resort and we've never been to Negril. Arrived at the Resort to be told they had a glitch in the system, instead of the Deluxe hut we paid for we would have to stay in a Standard hut the first night and move the next day into a Deluxe hut? Was told not to unpack everything as we were going to move again next day, how do u go 2 days without unpacking and despite advising not acceptable the response was nothing we can do it was a glitch in our system. Service and food was very average at best and entertainment was really non existing. Deluxe hut was amazing, beach was incredible and spa was well worth the money, and no kids so extremely quiet. We've travel extensively and know what a 5 star Resort looks like, and that's what we paid for in price, it definitely was more of a 3 star (way overpaid) We learned our lesson and will stick with Montego Bay next time, not worth the extra drive, cost and reduced amenities.

this was our second time - the place is beautiful and the beach is great - not crowded , quiet and beautiful the gardens are really beautiful the food is also really good although the menu at the beach restauarant needs a review and upgrade ( less fried and pub food more local and fish as an option ) and maybe a seating area with tables and chairs away from the bar ( less bar like ) the rooms are very cool but it is time for a reno - bathrooms are worn out and our shower sort of worked , paint and local art would really spruce them up and the furniture is pretty worn out , our room just had a small fridge on the floor in front of the door to the deck ? the staff tho are really fabulous - friendly , helpful and lots if them - at the beach too so - would i go back - yes - it's not high end rooms more like going to the cottage with a great chef LOL

The room seemed to be a little smaller than what we are used too. My husband and I usually unpack everything but this time we didn't because of a lack of storage but that's a minor issue. The staff as always was amazing. The bar staff was great, a shout out to Cheryline, Britney, Nadine and Cash for your wonderful service. The pool and beach staff for always being good for a chat and a laugh. Lastly a BIG thank you to Cornelius he's the best.He was a junior server our first stay, he now runs the Lotus Leaf restaurant. The only disappointment my husband and I felt was the return guest dinner. The other return dinners we have been to were nice and warm and welcoming, it was a full service 5 course dinner. This time it was so impersonal, no staff sat with us, no full table service. It was buffet style we had to serve ourselves which made us seem unappreciated. Each guest would get a gift, this time around they drew two room numbers for a complimentary massage.

As a return guest from our wedding 12 years ago we were blown away once again by the hospitality of every hotel staff member we met along our way. We were told multiple times “welcome home” which really started the stay out as a very genuine and personal experience. Whenever we came across anyone on the beautiful garden paths, whether it was security, or a gardener, or a maid, they always asked if we needed anything. The beach staff was always eager to help you get your loungers setup, and the beach itself was just as soft as we remembered it, and the water calm and relaxing. The culinary staff was amazing as this was easily the best resort food we’ve had anywhere. The rooms are cozy and laying on the day bed on the balcony was super relaxing while listening to all the nature around us. The coffee bar was one of our favourite stops along the way serving blue mountain coffee of the highest quality made into some delicious concoctions. The bar staff kept the drinks flowing and were always personable and remembered your names. They all seemed to have excellent sense of humours and had us laughing lots. Navado at the pool bar even put the hockey game on for us so we could watch our oilers in the playoffs. All in all i’d give this place a 6th star if i could. A few personal shoutouts: Gerald, Nevado, Odine, Christina, my man Cornelius, Lavern, and so many others im sure im forgetting. Thank you for everything and all the respect . We, a couple, stayed at SATP from 10th to 24th April 2025. After one night in 700 area we changed room to 403, much closer to restaurants, pool etc. The hotels big asset is the wonderful beach, a friendly staff ( most of them ), special thanks to Nevado and Shirlain at the poolbar and the effective team at beachbar for doing a excellent job, the hotel located beautiful in a jungle surrounded with palms and wake-up songs performed by birds from 4 am. The rooms could need a general improvment, we hit our shin several times on a very clumsily constructed bedbottom and the wardrobe placed on the bathroom without venting so our clothes were always slightly damped with moistrure. The breakfast was good but yoghurt missing most of the time ( on a 4 star hotel ). Lunch/dinner were, a poor standard; for the most part vegetables has been in/out the kitchen several times, not inviting, pumpkin soup served 7 days in a row and dessert cakes were not covered in the heat and should also have been on ice. We mentioned this to the staff but no action taken. Beachparty with dinner was held with no information to us and a lot of other guests so we first arrive when the party was over, no dinner to us. Visiting the Pianoman at the PianpBar was very entertaining. This is not a 4,5 star hotel, but 3,5 star on a sunny day. A much needed relaxing break sunset at the Palms really did deliver this experience, From the moment we arrived and checked in at reception it really did feel like home and the long journey from the UK was very quickly forgotten. All of the staff at this resort were truly amazing from the bar staff to the restaurant and beach boys all so friendly and welcoming, the chefs show case dinner was something we have never experienced before at any other resort and this was truly a great experience to have. Paul the piano man was absolutely brilliant and we could watch him night after night very engaging and entertaining. The grounds are kept immaculate thank you to Lynford and the team who are so passionate about what thet do and it truly shows on the beauty around the resort. We had lunch with the goats again a brilliant experience it’s lovely to see and hear that they are so very well looked after. Our room was very private and we loved the sound of the tree frogs at night and the birds by morning we had a humming bird feeder from reception and loved seeing them visit us throughout our stay. The beach well what can I say but WOW we have been to many Caribbean islands and this beach was absolutely beautiful with calm sea and lovely sand the staff at the beach were always at hand with beach towels and tables and even gave us a red flag for when we needed drinks and food which we really thought was a great touch. The musicians on the beach where so talented and really gave us the Jamaican vibe these are people We will never forget Overall if you are looking for a low key relaxing holiday and appreciate beauty and friendly staff who do and will do the extra mile to ensure your time here is the optimum experience then this resort is definitely for you. To start, I would like to say that the property is wonderful. I can see why people love staying here. The property provides tranquility and you hear only birds when sleeping and nothing else. It is by 7-mile beach as well, which is beautiful and ocean blue. There is a stark contrast between this ocean and that of Montego Bay, where we stayed as well. This beach is pristine, with no rocks in the water, less planktons and trees in the water and is so much cleaner. The staff were friendly and helpful, when available. There were some hiccups, however. The phone in the room did not work and when we brought it to the front desk's attention, no one came to fix it. When we were leaving, because again, the phone was not working, we had to request a luggage pick up by asking someone to notify the front desk. They told us they would send someone to come fix it and no one came. Another thing I also have come to detest is the fact that suddenly, room service costs more even at an all-inclusive restaurant. They told us it would be $15 extra, which is insane. Nowhere else do I encounter this than when I leave European countries and this is a terrible practice by African and Caribbean countries. If I am paying for all-inclusive, it should be exactly that and this idea of Nickle and diming your guests is flagrant. Another flagrant issue I experienced was asking the waiter which item between 2 things on the menu she would suggest. The lady told me that they were not allowed to try the food. Now, correct me if I'm wrong but what kind of sense does that make? If the staff serving the food cannot try it, how would they know what is good or not? That is an insane practice that needs to stop immediately. They also tried to encourage us to exchange our money into smaller dollar bills instead of the local Jamaican dollar. This, it seems, was to get us to tip higher because when I insisted that I receive Jamaican dollars, the lady gave me the lowest bill of $500 jmd, instead of $100 jmd I saw in her hand, which meant we had no choice but to tip everyone with the lowest bill we had. That should be our choice and there should be laws against allowing outsiders to use any bills other than the local bill.
