A great 20th Anniversary celebration! Our experience from check in to check out everything was excellent. This was a more relaxing resort, not a party scene, but was not looking for that. If your looking for amazing staff, views, food and fun for entertainment this is the resort for you!...
A great 20th Anniversary celebration! Our experience from check in to check out everything was excellent. This was a more relaxing resort, not a party scene, but was not looking for that. If your looking for amazing staff, views, food and fun for entertainment this is the resort for you!
Our room was amazing, preferred 2733, view spectacular, room size huge, so clean, housekeeping service daily!
Food, so good, for breakfast we ate at the Market Café each day, lunch at Barefoot Grill and Sea Salt Grill. Personally, the Sea Salt Grill was more of a dinner menu, excellent catch of the day but was hoping for more of a light meal, but that was on us. Dinners at the Mexican, Olio, Bluewater Grill (steakhouse) we did wait about 45 minutes (had drinks at the bar), but once seated food came out quick, hot, and delicious. We also got there about 7:45pm. The Italian, Nebbiolo was amazing, and we waited just 10 minutes and got there about 6:30/6:45pm.
Pools beautiful and clean, drink services were non-stop and friendly. Daily entertainment by the pool was fun, the rock band was excellent. The beach was clean and had chairs, it is a bit smaller and could feel a bit cramped, but the view is so spectacular it did not bother us. The service also 10/10 on the beach for drinks.
The preferred pool was quite and reserved perfect for our last day and again the staff, 10/10.
Yes, the chair game is real, but that is at any resort, be mindful and respectful should not be the resorts job to tell adults to be respectful, if you know your not using a chair until after lunch do not reserve it at 7am. Also pick up after you have left a chair so others know they are free (my personal opinions)!
The evening shows are fun, the Queen tribute was on point! Casino night was a blast. The entertainment staff really works hard.
Go, enjoy, rest, relax, eat, drink and have fun!!

Very nice all inclusive hotel
Stayed 4 nights there a few weeks ago. Everything was wonderful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The service was excellent all over. Food was really good too with nice choices of different restaurants. Would stay there again in a second.
Beautiful room with amazing views and excellent service!
We loved our room, spacious with a beautiful wrap around balcony and ocean views. Service was great, especially from our personal concierge Stefano. He went above and beyond to make our stay special. There were lots of options to sit on the beach or near the pool and great entertainment....

There were lots of options to sit on the beach or near the pool and great entertainment. We liked that we didn’t need to make reservations for the restaurants and didn’t have to wait long. We would go again!

This is our first time traveling during a holiday, New Year's Eve. We arrived on Dec 26th and wanted to spend the winter holiday on the beach. As soon as we arrived, we had a 15 min wait to be checked in at the preferred private check-in. This resort was so packed there was a line to wait for pretty much everything. We can see how stressed everyone was, and we were very patient. Dinners were minimum 1.5 to 2 hrs. wait if you weren't already in line when the restaurants opened for dinner at 6 pm. We had the Hyatt app, so the restaurant was able to notify you through the app when your table was ready so you would be free to do something else while you were waiting or just go back to your room to relax.
We frequented the main lobby bar for drinks as they were the only bar tenders that got the drinks right.
We bought the New Year's Eve special dinner that was held in the banquet. The entertainment and food was wedding like and was good. But the real party was outside in the pool area! There was so much going on, and the drinks and food were flowing. We enjoyed the New Year's Eve countdown to 2025!
Our room was perfect as usual, and Carlos and Manuel (our butlers) were amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed and wanted and more! Thank you so much for making our stay outstanding even while dealing with the chaos of a full resort!

Definitely recommend booking the preferred package. Everyone on staff was great, but Stefano and Bruce, our preferred concierge, made us feel very much at home. They were extremely accommodating from the start to end of each day. Secrets will be the first place we look when booking for Cancun again in the future.

We stayed in the Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean-View with all-inclusive for 5 nights. Here are some of the highlights of our trip:
1. Hospitality and service was unmatched. Staff was warm, friendly, efficient, and communicative. We were assigned Bruce and Stefano as our personal concierge. They were available via Whatsapp from 7 AM - 11 PM, after which we had access to the after-hours operator and general concierge. Bruce and Stefano (and special mention to Dulce) were extremely helpful, making great recommendations for attractions, sight-seeing, local markets/food etc. and accommodating our requests in a timely manner with great care. They went the extra mile to make our stay a memorable one, and it was truly a pleasure to work with them.
2. Restaurants overall have great variety, ambiance, service, and food quality. Personal favorites were Market Cafe (shout-out to their breakfast buffet) and Nebbiolo. With all-inclusive, it was definitely worth taking advantage of the food and drinks, both of which were very impressive all-round.
3. Hydrotherapy spa treatment was very relaxing. We had a complimentary couples hydrotherapy available through our package, and they took great care of us to help us feel accommodated and relaxed. I appreciated their attention to detail, especially while making sure we don't have any history of health issues/reactions with previous heat/cold exposure etc. Speaking of relaxation, the gym is well-stocked, spacious, and has a lovely ocean view to enjoy.
4. Ocean view was picture-perfect (I still have dreams of the view lol). Not just from our room, but also from any of the pools, the pristine turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea and clear sand are perfectly etched in our memories. Through the preferred club, we had access to the infinity pool, which was great for some quiet time without the crowd. When we wanted a fun and vibrant environment, we would hop over to the public pools where it was well-managed and relaxing as well.
5. General activities at the resort were fun and well-organized; there is a lot going on to keep you busy and entertained. For example, wine tastings daily at 1 PM and 3 PM, yoga in the mornings, board games near the cafe (open 24/7 btw), pool activities during the day, musical artists and dancers during the evening.
6. Booking extra activities was made easy with AMSTAR, an on-site agency through which you could reserve excursions, water activities, sight-seeing etc. For example, day-trips to Chichen-Itza, Tulum, Isla Mujeres, Cenotes, and more. I personally tried the jet-skiing and it was a lot of fun.
10/10 and would love to visit again!

The worst resort I've visited from a seasoned Cancun Traveler

I've been to Cancun, Riviera Maya, and surrounding at least 20 times and I've stayed at so many different resorts. This was my least favorite resort. Here's why:
1. Lacks charm and ambiance - although the beach is beautiful, the resort lacks charm. The lobby is dark, there are no garden areas, and the pools are small and crowded. There isn't a swim up bar and it's so hard to get a beach chair because everyone reserves them with towels early in the morning and there is no monitoring. We stayed in an ocean front honeymoon suite and the furnishings were outdated and design was terrible. The bathtub was right in front of the patio door and we had to walk sideways to not trip over it. The patio furniture was not purposeful so you could enjoy the balcony. There are no hammocks.
2. Understaffed - there are not enough staff to take care of the amount of people. We ordered a drink on the beach and waited 40 minutes. We went up to the bar to get the drink ourselves and discovered that there was only one waiter for the entire beach and he was also the bartender. We also went to the Mexican restaurant in the evening and the food took forever and people were actually getting up and leaving.
3. Weak drinks - every drink we ordered tasted like it had very little alcohol in it. We had to start ordering shots separately and mixing our own drinks. I watched the bartender make a daiquiri pitcher and the pour was maybe a tablespoon. This was the case at every bar and restaurant even if we tipped well. The mini bar in the room only has Sol beer.
4. No reservations at restaurants - although they make the sound really nice on the website, what they don't tell you is there is at least an hour wait and you have to go to the restaurant physically to get on the list. A reservation system is more convenient because you can plan your dinner times accordingly. We ended up eating at almost 10:00 p.m. every night because of the long waits and the food was really disappointing.
5. No evening buffet and food was meh - there's only one breakfast restaurant and nothing for a casual evening buffet, the room service menu and mini bar are extremely limited, and the food at every restaurant except the Peruvian and Italian was not great. So we waited a long time to get a table and then had disappointing food.
6. Terrible customer service - our reservation stated we had $200 in resort credits per person but when we arrived we learned it was per room and they blamed it on Expedia. Then we also learned that the $200 resort credit could not all be used at once unless we combined it with another deal from Hyatt which required us to attend a vacation club presentation. There was also a mix-up with our reservation and when I asked if they would give us preferred access or anything else to make up for the misunderstanding they blamed it on Expedia and the staff would say that their manager said no but the manager would not come and talk to you. They just kept passing me between staff members and wasting my time. I've never had this issue at other resorts.
