Ocean El Faro

From the first day we arrived until the last, everyone at the resort treated us exceptionally well; they were friendly, polite and attentive! The food and facilities were top-notch. We are from Argentina and felt more than welcome, we plan to return soon.

Check in experience wasn't to good. I checked in at 10am and was told within 15 minutes they will let met know that my room should be ready. 4 hours later no update. I went up to the desk 3-5 times and they told me nothing. Bartenders in el beso...

This is a beautiful resort and the beach is very nice. That being said, the food is average, the bars are okay and the customer service could have been better. The other confusing part is the Adults Only areas and the Privilege areas. The Privilege areas allow kids, whereas the Adults Only benefits are one pool, one restaurant and one bar. It all made no sense. The El Beso portion is not really a true Adults Only resort .... It is just a small part of the overall El Faro resort. And, good luck getting a chair at the Adult pool .... They have signs posted all over, saying you can't save chairs/cabanas, yet everyone does (and there is no enforcement). We were there 13 days and gave up .... We weren't going to get up at 6 am to put down our towels. Security on the beach is poor .... Vendors roam thru the whole area and it got rather annoying. The other annoying situation are the numerous time share reps on the property. We've been to 30 all-inclusives over the years. This would rate in the bottom 10. If you're going to Punta Cana, there are better resort choices. This gets a 3 out of 5 rating from me.

By far the worst experience ever, not only were the staff opening our doors as we were sleeping at all times of the night and day. My guess they assumed we weren’t in the room!! We had the swim up which was disgusting!! The seats were stained there was a foul smell in the bathroom and a huge roach in the tub!! We made the best of it to be completely honest. One thing I will say is the staff by the bars were so friendly !!! But I have video proof of how nasty and fowl this place is. Don’t believe the videos or the pictures look for real reviews on tik tok !!!! So disappointing that we spend all that money to experience not only people entering our room and realizing we were there and running out. But the distasteful appearance !!

Stayed on the el beso side of the resort. The rooms were super nice! Lots of storage space. Loved the double sink and double shower head. I found the room to be cleaned very well at check in & throughout the week when we needed it. The el beso buffet...

The el beso buffet was not always the best as some things were cold, but the hot omelettes & burgers at lunch time were my go to. The “party” pool was lots of fun. There is entertainment around 1030 & 330, otherwise pretty chill for the rest of the day. The bar guys were both awesome as well as the lady who would walk around getting drink orders poolside. Make sure you wake up early to get a spot at the pool. Almost all the spots were taken by towels by 7am. Not a lot of people were actually at the pool before 1030 though. That was frustrating. There was fresh bbq by the pool almost everyday. Seafood, jerk chicken, hamburgers and tacos. Would recommend!!! The beach was not kept at all. There was seaweed & some garbage along the beach, as well as no proper safe way to get down to where you can enter the water. I found the beach itself very disappointing but the water was blue & nice once you got inside. If you are staying on the El Beso side just know all the entertainment & restaurants you will have to walk to the main El faro side. Approx 7min. There is no night time entertainment on the El beso side so you will be around kids every night. It seemed like every other day there were vendors set up in the main walkway of the resort selling things. I personally did not want to be bothered to buy things while in the comfort of my resort. Although they did not hound you. If you said no they would leave you alone right away which I appreciated. All the restaurants were very delicious! We had no complaints with the food brought to us, & the staff was kind too!

The staff here is extremely friendly. The resort itself is beautiful and the rooms are nice. The food could definitely be better but most of it is okay. Shout out to Bryan on blue team for his excellent hospitality and friendliness. The drinks are good and the beach is nice

We arrived on Feb. 25/25. Stayed for the week and everything was amazing . At the pool Marcos, Bryan, Wilton, Joel, Stephanie , Gerson and Mariely was very helpful and fun. In the buffet Yoner and Guilleston were excellent wait staff. Highly recommend

We stayed here last year we wanted to come back this April can’t get hold of the hotel as tui only have three seats on the flight and we’re a family of four I wanted to know if I booked for me and the two children and my partner gets a seperate flight would I be able to pay for the all inclusive for my partner to stay in our room seen as it sleeps 4 people anyway

The rooms are nice. The food is ok. If you don’t pay extra for el Beso or the Privilege package you aren’t able to access a lot of services, areas, restaurants. I would definitely reconsider the upgrade next time. Go here if you want to see the sun. Nice beach.

This trip was everything we hoped for and more. The Blue Team at El Beso were like family and truly made our stay so memorable and fun. We were there to celebrate my Fiancé’s 30th birthday and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. Special...

This trip was everything we hoped for and more. The Blue Team at El Beso were like family and truly made our stay so memorable and fun. We were there to celebrate my Fiancé’s 30th birthday and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. Special shoutout to Enrique for treating us like family! We loved this resort so much we ended up missing our flight and booking an extra day at the resort. Please I beg, do not listen to any other reviews regarding food. The Food was PHENOMENAL. truly. The food was flavorful and plenty to choose from. The buffet was so great. I thoroughly researched this resort and I did see quite a few mixed reviews but I am so glad we still booked bc those reviews do not come close to representing what a fun resort this is. The layout of all the restaurants, the consistent activities, and the staff make this resort so welcoming for everyone. Also the disco is so fun for all adults. The music was amazing and everyone danced the whole night. There were foam parties, theme nights, and games! Everyone was so accommodating from the staff at the front desk to the waiters and bar tenders. Thank you to the bartender Francis at El Beso. He was so kind to us and made the pool days so fun. Truly have no complaints about this resort. Will definitely be returning. Oh also another major plus : THE CATS!! Pls bring cat food bc there are so many beautiful playful kitties. :) Overall, this resort was great. Every restaurant was delicious and had such flavorful food. (I’m Hispanic so I wouldn’t lie to you haha) 10/10 resort layout and hotel rooms. The beds were the best part!!

This was our third time at this resort as we finish up our 3 year "NOT A Timeshare" timeshare. So heres the scoop: 1. Fanfreakintastic butlers..Deiby was attentive, proactive and checked in everyday. Our previous butlers were also amazing and always greeted us (Alexander and Juan)...you guys are keepers! 2....

This was our third time at this resort as we finish up our 3 year "NOT A Timeshare" timeshare. So heres the scoop: 1. Fanfreakintastic butlers..Deiby was attentive, proactive and checked in everyday. Our previous butlers were also amazing and always greeted us (Alexander and Juan)...you guys are keepers! 2. Berwin at Privilege area great to see him again and as always very attentive and proactive! 3. Eduardo at Pez Dama...always working with a smile, I dont think he leaves ever...great guy! 4. PEDRO...minibar service El Beso....for the first time in three years our mini bar was filled EVERYDAY without ASK. This young man did his job very well and obviously takes pride in it...dont lose him...workers like that and the ones mentionned above shoulkd be rewareded for great service as they are the backbone to this resort. There were so many others but I didnt keep my notes that well this time. We were there 2 weeks, 12 days in my husband got Covid and I was lucky to wait until landing back in Canada before showing signs (both fully vaccinated). Covid is everywhere so it is what it is...HOWEVER...it would go A VERY LONG WAY to reducing illnesses to have sanitizer placed at the start AND end of the buffets El Mercado & Pez Dama. SO many people handling the serving spoons and no convenient way to wash up...I brought sanitizer knowing this but got complacent...lesson learned. It is also bothersome to see the strays uncared for especially the dog...the animals need to be spayed/neutered, dewormed and that poor dog needs a flea bath as its suffering with skin issues. A large resort should have the means to help a few animals on site that add to the benefit of the resort by ridding it of rodents etc. Also instead of the resort response to these reviews saying the typical "we will look into it" response...put it in action instead of just words. FOLLOW THROUGH. Take lessons from Ocean Coral and Turquesa. A few minor items to note: 1. The menus and ingredients do not align with what is served (for instance Privilege lounge Spinach Salad...menu spinach, goat cheese, strawberries, walnuts....what I got was wet spinach with celery, onion and cream cheese lol) 2. El Beso Snack Shack on app opens at 11 but in reality over 3 days opened at 3 different times...11:30, 12:30 and 1 . 3. Archery...most times all good but a couple days no staff showed up...no notice on the board indicating it was cancelled...frustrating All in all it is an absolutely beautiful resort with great staff. The resort has definitely improved several aspects in the 3 years we have been going and good to see but for us its time for a change.
