My new husband and I celebrated our honeymoon at Margaritaville this past week. We were immediately greeted upon entry with delicious Margarita popsicles and taken to the Prestige check in. We were introduced to our amazing butlers Enrique and Armando, who were absolutely stellar during our stay! They had our dinner reservations lined out from the first day, and stayed in constant communication with events and plans for the day. We truly appreciate them and all of their help! The resort was clean, the room spacious and beautiful, and the pools/bars always a ton of fun. We will definitely be back!

Our trip was great at the Margaritaville Maya Rivera . The facility was clean, new, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The highlights of the trip was the boathouse. Buffet. We enjoyed our waiter Jorge who served us most nights as we requested him. He did everything to make our meal perfect. Sergio who was one of the cooks was another 10 out of 10 making our meals a little different with his chef touches. The pool was so much fun as there was a wedding party there when we had our stay and the pool was filled with fun and activity. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Jorge and Sergio for making it spectacular.

Overall the vacation was great. I only gave it four out of five since the food and drinks have gone down a bit in quality. Restaurants were amazing if you can get a reservation. Buffet not so good. Only buffet option for breakfast. We are prestige members so having the lounge with higher quality alcohol helped! We love being members and even upgraded on this trip to Emerald. We loved our amazing Butlers Armando and Enrique, they were the highlight of our trip. Always there to help us with anything. We always leave the prestige resorts feeling like we have an extended family. Rooms are amazing and clean. Housekeeping does an amazing job with our service both day and night. I would consider coming back to this resort if reviews show the buffet changes or they have an option to order at breakfast. I would also recommend a few more activities to keep you busy. We found it to be a bit boring as a couple. A group of friends would be great here.

We stayed at this resort Febuary to March 2025 with our Prestige Travelers Membership and had the best service ever! Our butlers Mariel and Karen gave us exceptional service. They even arranged for us to have a shade umbrella on our private deck because we have to stay out of the sun for medical reasons. And Charley our pool butler treated us like family. He insured we had a Bali bed every day even though the resort was very full. Everyone made us feel welcome made sure every need was surpassed. We wanted for nothing! Thank you all and we look forward to seeing you all again soon! Our home away from home!

We just returned from Margaritaville and are truly glad that we went! It’s different than some of the resorts we visited in Riviera Maya, but I would say it’s a different kind of excellence. The resort is only a couple of years old and the grounds, the rooms, the pools, the spa and the fitness facilities are all very nice and beautifully kept . The dining options were all very good and provided options from poolside to coffee shops, casual and fine dining. We found every type of experience we wanted, from the fun and sun at the party pool to a quiet and restful experience at the members pool, our balcony and the spa. Your choice! But no question, the highlight for us was the staff! Our butlers, Armando and Enrique, made us feel at home and helped us in every way. The staff at each restaurant made us feel welcome and we looked forward to returning. Our housekeeper Mauricio, did an amazing job and we appreciated not having to fight sand in the room. There isn’t a beach but there IS plenty of poolside seating and Charley did a great job of managing it. We feel like we’ve made new friends and look forward to returning!

Margaritaville is a true paradise! This was my first time to an all inclusive resort spent with my fiancé and I don’t know if I’ll be able to ever match the experience I had here. We were lucky enough to have butler service from both Armando and Enrique, and they made the experience that much better for us. Anything at all we needed during our trip they were quick to not only assist us but go over the top with what I would ever expect. We were on our trip to celebrate our engagement and we were pleasantly surprised with a very special surprise by both Enrique and Armando in our room one day, we can’t thank you both enough once again! As for the restaurants around the resort, the food was very special. Our favourite place to eat was frank and Lola’s. We loved the options on the menu here and they staff was always fantastic. Watching the pizza maker toss his dough made me feel like I was in a true Italian pizza shop. The entertainment staff works so hard to get guests involved in an always changing set of activities over the course of the week. They make every day feel different with what they offer. Nicole was a fantastic employee she brought a level of life and excitement to her activities. Thank you to Armando and Enrique for all they did for us once again and we hope we can experience margaritaville with them again soon.

We really liked this property! When we first arrived we were greeted by Daphne (with a refreshing margarita popsicle), who made us aware of our upgrade. She then told us she’d be taking care of ALL of our needs, from booking dinner reservations to any issue we may have as well as any questions. She kept in contact with us daily and went above and beyond to make our stay feel wonderful. We felt so taken care of. The hotel itself is beautiful!! We loved our swim out room. Clean, beautiful and great layout. Restaurants were very nice inside and the food was decent. We loved Landshark bar/restaurant as well as the Chill (I highly recommend trying the Lava lava tacos there) We also loved our encounters with Danyael at Its 5 o’clock somewhere bar, Roberto at the breakfast buffet and Jimmy at the JWB steakhouse All in all I rate this hotel 5/5, even though there is unfortunately no beach. We knew this going in, so we planned for that.

Toured and explained everything about resort. Brought us to room where she went over everything about room with amenities. Luggage came quickly. From there everything went smooth and enjoyable. Each morning we would get a text from either butler Frida or Isaac with days events and to see if we needed anything. Thank you for being attentive butlers. Weather was fantastic all week and we spent most of our days in the swim out pool or main pool. We did water Zumba each day with the entertainment staff which we really enjoyed. They make it so fun and keep you stretching and moving. We enjoyed all venues for dining and all dining staff were great. Food was excellente. Joe Merchants was great to visit for tea or coffee however be careful with how hot the water is for tea as my wife burnt her lip. Wish there were more options for items to use the points that are given. Resort was very clean and maturing nicely. This was our 40th wedding anniversary and Frida made it very special…thank you so much.

Amazing experience. Our butlers Frieda and Issac were terrific; what a treat, they take care of arranging reservations, booking cabanas, etc… and are always inquiring if we need any assistance. The restaurants were all excellent. All restaurant and bar staff were amazing. The Salt Rim bar is really good, specialty drinks such as coffee martinis, chocolate martinis, a free soul (a gin and violet liquor drink) all served in beautiful glassware. The in room fridge was stocked with plenty of water and you have points to purchase soft drinks and snacks for your room. We had so many points that we stocked up on snacks to take home. There were plenty of staff to keep the pools clean and keep the area tidy. House keeping were in twice a day to organize the room and then around dinner time to turn down the beds. We enjoyed some ceramic painting one afternoon. The proprietor completes the works with embellishments and glazes them for pick up the next day. Overall we really enjoyed the resort as a whole.

Staying at Margaritaville Riviera Maya adults-only resorts was one of the best vacations and most spectacular four nights of my life. My trip was way too short but my husband still works. Second time we’re here; we will definitely be coming back. We were under the Emerald level with a Prestige Travelers Membership and cannot believe the outstanding service that we received from everyone, including and most importantly our two wonderful Butlers, Enrique and Armando. Having designated butlers for our suite under the Emerald level, took vacation to a whole different level. It took me a few one day or two to realize that we could ask them to make reservations for us instead of going to the concierge or ask them for more towels, etc. For the first day, I felt like I was in an alternate universe because I’ve never had people like that waiting on this hand and foot to make sure our experience was the best ever. You’ve also never had a lemon waiting for us to pick us up to privately take us to the resort under the Emerald level. I wanted to adopt these two lol. This resort is so amazing and so lovely. The food is amazing. Room 189 is the best. Everything from having those amazing butlers the semi private pool, waking up in our bed seeing our semi private pool and privately designated pool cabana where we didn’t have to fight for chairs at the main pool or towels because they were brought to us at our cabana and then ,the suite itself the showers are amazing; there were five sprinkler heads! I’m sure I’m forgetting 1 million things but we were certainly very happy. I wanna say Frank and Wilma and WDB steakhouse are absolutely wonderful. The service was spectacular. The Boathouse which is kind of like their cafeteria type place was unbelievable as well as the Landshark. I think these people are so happy and unbelievable because they wake up in that sunshine every day, lol

We were at the resort March 9 - 13. While we were at resort, we received top notch service from all, but there were a few standouts. Massages by Yolanda & Angeles were spectacular. Many thanks to Christian at the concierge desk for making the massages happen. Concierge Rut was fantastic in helping us get dinner reservations arranged under challenging timeline. Cocktails by Gibron at the Salted Rim were next level, tasty & sophisticated. Christian and Daniel at the 5oclock somewhere bar took great care of us with specialty drink requests. Gabino at the license to chill bar provided a friendly face each day, starting our day out with a big smile. We would look forward to chatting with Juan each day. He was at multiple places in the resort, ..buffet, Frank & Lolas, and poolside. He always had a tip or reccomendation for us to enrich our day, and most gracious with his smile. Our room was spectacular. The property as a whole seems brand new and is constantly being manicured. Our trip was a lovely time, very relaxing with wonderful memories made.

I just need to mention Hector at the front desk. I’m not sure who screwed up, Priceline or the hotel itself, but we booked at the Riviera Cancun and were placed at the Riviera Maya. I didn’t want to stay at the Riviera Maya for certain reasons and after a lot of back-and-forth, he was able to move us to to the Riviera Cancun. Both resorts are clean. However, they don’t maintain them well. For example, I would see the cleaning staff dusting off lamps with broken light bulbs inside. The steps down to the beach on the south end of the Riviera Cancun have been broken for months. I know this from pictures of other reviews. Still not fixed!

Room service was breakfast excellent the late night sandwiches were just ok. The only thing i wanted while i was here was ice cream . I have been to Mexico at least a dozen times and I don’t think i have ever been to a resort that didn’t have ice cream . I didn’t like what they offered in the store for the mini bar service. Don’t quite understand why they do it this way. We walked down to the “beach” a few times to the other resort had a drink and swim and then walked back. If this resort had a beach it would be perfect.

I went with my boyfriend for 2025's Valentine weekend and stayed on a first-floor suite with a hammock in the balcony. We had an amazing time, better than at any other place we had ever gone to. Although the resort itself was amazing, the staff working there is what made it an exceptional stay, and an experience that you will want to repeat over and over again. The buffet style food at the Boat House was excellent, and our waiter Jaime elevated the experience immensely, and I felt like I was royalty the entire time. Jaime was attentive and very serviceable; my water was never empty, and my cocktails were always perfect. When we went to the pool, we stayed around the SOS swim up bar, and Erika made sure to refill our drinks always perfectly on time and even suggested amazing and tasty drinks we hadn't tried before. Jesus at the JWB Steakhouse was also very attentive, and made sure our steaks were cooked to perfection. Truly the staff at this resort is what makes it such an amazing stay.

The resort is small but beautiful, good atmosphere, good activities during the day. Nice music at Landshark bar at night, with the supervisor Armando been a show apart. But the best part of all, is the Boat house restaurant, food is amazing..so many different options and shows. And the servers are something else..they don't know what else to do to make you feel comfortable and happy. Big shout out for Roberto, Rogelio and Gabino..amazing service. The only big down side of the Resort is that there is NO BEACH....😪 that is the reason I am not giving 5 stars. Everything else is amazing.

Our personal staff was excellent: Personal Butlers : Muriel and Karen Pool Butler : Charly Personal Chief / Frank&Lola's : Oscar Food Waiters : Noel, Israel,Maximiliano, Rogelio, and Javier . We are already planning another trip in the late summer of this year to this Margaritaville. We have visited many other Karisma Resorts in the past years and have been very pleased with all of them.

The resort rooms were nice and staff was pleasant. However, there is no beach at all, it was wiped out by hurricane 2 years ago we were told. There are 2 restaurants, one is a steakhouse and the other an Italian restaurant. On the 2nd day of an 8 day trip we tried to make reservations and could not get anything until day 6 and 7 after 8:30 at night. The food was not good unless you wanted to pay extra for better food, (not all-inclusive). Won't be coming back there again.

Any requests were promptly addressed by our personal butlers Mariel and Karen who were absolutely fabulous!! I mean really, a drawn bubble bath with flower petals for my wife and I?? Amazing!! All I have to say about these two is they were superb! Their attention to detail was impeccable. Poolside, my partner in crime was Angel. Thank you Angel for forever keeping me moving. From volleyball, unique pool games, water aerobics, stretching class to a Texas Holdem lesson. Then a big thank you to Nicole, who helped me to be my usual rockstar self on her karaoke nights. Thank you Noel for the breakfast mimosas every morning, and a huge thank you to the entire wait staff who always say “hi” in passing and always made us feel so welcome. It was truly a fabulous trip!

Wonderful resort. Small enough to get around and not get lost or disoriented. The staff, from the check in ,butlers, pool service, to housekeeping are excellent. They are very attentive to every need. No beach but the pools are wonderful. Swim up rooms are great.

My husband and I stayed here for our 17th anniversary April 19-22. The food was good, the drinks subpar, but the service was GREAT. The resort is super clean and smells amazing at every turn. The room is decorated with a lot of detail in mind, and the bed is comfortable. The entertainment staff was ok, but I think they are still new so, they are still working on perfecting their craft. I don't think I would stay at this resort again because it was very D.I.Y. and that is not necessarily my thing. It was small and maybe ok for 2-3 nights, but not for me. So while I didn't hate it, I would return. My husband however loved it. Go figure....

The main pool was a lot of fun and servers kept the drinks flowing! I think it is better limited to 3-4 days, other than that you will probably be ready to go. My wife and i have been to many all inclusive resorts and this rates high on the scale. This resort offers a more Caribbean feel than mexican and it works given the decor . Beware if your a beach lover there is no e here. You can go on a short taxi ride to peuto moralis and its worth the trip has shopping great food and a good beach. Pros Very clean, staff are very friendly and helpfull , vibe is exciting during the day and quiets in the evening with no after parties in rooms (at least on our visit). Pools and chairs cleaned regularly Bars and food clean and food rated high. Buffet (boathouse) is mainley ised for breakfast. Very nice , clean buffet Many choices of beer both at joe merchants and landshark . Joe merchants is a great idea . Its worth noting that there is no mad rush every morning to towel up chairs as is common in most resorts . Cons No mexican entertainment in the evening or at all really. They have a great lobby and no real fun entertainment . That said the landshark brewery offers later evening fun and that keeps the noise inside . Thats actually a pro Thats all the cons folks its a really top notch place .

The experience at every level was exceptional except for the initial transport. That was just average but the return transportation was much better. The room we had was ocean and pool view. This was our first trip to this property but we have been members of Karisma/Prestige for 20 years....

The experience at every level was exceptional except for the initial transport. That was just average but the return transportation was much better. The room we had was ocean and pool view. This was our first trip to this property but we have been members of Karisma/Prestige for 20 years. Our impression is they have very much found their footing since the split with Exotic. Our butler Karen was seasoned, kind and attentive. Friends with other excellent butlers we have known over the years and a huge asset to their company. The food was consistently fresh and very well prepared at every venue including room service. The stand out was Chef Oscar who prepared our anniversary dinner in room and is the head chef at Frank and Lola’s. The Italian restaurant on property. Our meal there was simply awesome and is a must do on resort. We have put Margaritaville on our return list and my wife has booked a management staff retreat there already. Kudos also belong to Charlie the members pool concierge whose personality and attentiveness was consistent and exceptional. Still give it 5 stars but if they up the airport transport a notch it is 5 plus.

Fantastic! The resort is beautiful and clean! The beds/pillows were comfy! Our butlers, Armondo and Enrique, took care of our every need. They were always quick to respond! Thank you to all the staff members who worked so hard in every department! We will be back!

And a big thank you to the housekeepers that took care of our room everyday. The Salted Rim is also a great place for befor and after drinks. Angel is the best.

For my husband's retirement, we visited April 4-14th and had the most amazing time! We stayed in room 401, Presidential Oceanfront Paradise Studio, which was just above the fin at the Landshark Brewery. At night when the DJ started up, we did hear the music, but it didn't bother us;...

For my husband's retirement, we visited April 4-14th and had the most amazing time! We stayed in room 401, Presidential Oceanfront Paradise Studio, which was just above the fin at the Landshark Brewery. At night when the DJ started up, we did hear the music, but it didn't bother us; however, earplugs can be a life saver. For dinner, there are 4 restaurants and since we were there 10 nights, we thought we'd get tired of them, but that wasn't the case. The Boathouse has a couple of theme nights during the week (Caribbean Night and Mexican night) so that helps. Our favorite was Frank and Lolas which we ate at 4 times! They have a wood burning pizza oven and the pizzas are superb as well as the tiramisu!! Reservations are suggested, but walk ins are welcomed at the pizza bar. The JWB Steak house was good, however the ambiance is not perfect yet. I know they were going for the "American" Steakhouse vibe with the dark woods and leather banquettes, but the lighting is too bright and almost felt "cafeteria-like". We ate there a couple of times and chose to pay extra for some of the steaks. We had a Delmonico steak one night - I ate the filet side, and it was delicious and seasoned well. My husband said his was a little salty and thinner than he expected, but still good. We shared an 18-oz aged ribeye on the 2nd visit and loved it!! We ate at the Land Shark Brewery one night - seating is 1st come, 1 serve. The Baja Fish tacos were great! We had breakfast at the Boathouse. It's buffet style however they have an omelet station that makes eggs anyway you can imagine as well as pancakes and waffles. There are breads and pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, cold cuts, cheeses, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, French toast, Mexican specialties and churros. They also have Mimosas and Bloody Marys. For lunches, they always had a food station and grill set up outside the boathouse - Fish Market Day with fresh grilled fish and assorted salads, Cheeseburger in Paradise Day, Taco Party Day, BBQ Station with grilled chicken and ribs - there was always something for everyone. There are 3 large pools and no beach (yet) - the SOS pool with swim up bar, the 5 O'clock Somewhere Pool where all the pool- related activities are held and the License to Chill "Member's " pool. The pool chairs are plentiful however if you want a seat near the 5 O'Clock Somewhere Swim up bar, you'll need to get those towels out very early. We're members, so Charly, the Prestige Member's Lounge & pool butler, made sure to have our chairs/and or cabanas reserved each day. He also brought snacks in the morning and afternoons - chocolate covered strawberries, fresh ceviche, fruit tarts and tuna croquettes to name a few. He would also make us top shelf cocktails - The strawberry lemonade was my all-time favorite with fresh muddled strawberries! We felt very pampered. There is no beach, but we didn't miss it at all. In my view no beach = no sand. Yea! All of the staff were helpful and very attentive; however, here were a few that stood out. Our beach butlers, Enrique and Armando were exceptional. They'd send morning WhatsApp messages to let us know the activities of the day along with our dinner reservations. They put ice in our room every day at 5pm and made sure the room was cleaned during our absences. For my husband's retirement, as a surprise, I invited a few friends to join us later in the week and Enrique and Armando were integral in helping me keep it a secret until their arrival. They scheduled the taco boat for us at the pool, the tequila tasting at the JWB Steakhouse and assisted us in getting day passes for the other Margaritaville for the day our guests arrived. They were also helpful in the big reveal at the Salted Rim bar when my husband found out his friends joined us for his big retirement bash. I just can't say enough nice things about them. At the Salted Rim, Alain was the master cocktail creator! He entertained us with magic and delicious cocktails. Javier, at Frank and Lola’s was a standout and we were fortunate to have him as our waiter every time we went there. Christian, at the 5 O'clock Somewhere, kept my husband happy with his morning Miami Vices and afternoon mystery shots. At the JWB Steakhouse, Jose Manuel held a tequila tasting for the 7 of us. He was very knowledgeable and even the non-tequila drinkers found an appreciation for the spirit. Luckily, Jose was also our waiter for dinner – a bonus for us! The Joe Merchant Store was underwhelming. In the past, everything in the store could be bought with your points...not anymore. You can still get lattes, pastries, sweets, cookies, soft drinks and beer with points, but the bottled liquors, wines, American snacks like Oreos and Chocolate Chip cookies and bagged coffees are all paid items. We had over 35,000 points but only used about 10,000. Also, as a member, when you book a Presidential suite, you get bottled liquor in your room. The selection of liquors was not good at all when compared to our past visits to other Karissma resorts. We could get Jim Beam (at least), Don Julio Blanco and Ketel One Vodka, but this time, there were no bourbon choices at all, and the tequila selection was very limited to 100 Anos Blanco or Sauza Reposado and Sky Vodka. It's like the minute Jimmy died, the liquor quality went down! Luckily, Enrique and Armando were able to round up a bottle of Jim Bean and they replaced my vodka with Ketel One. During our member's update meeting, I mentioned the lackluster tequila selection and when I got back in my room there was a bottle of Don Julio Reposado on my bar. A special thanks to Karen and Mark in the Prestige office!! But things like this should be automatic. As member, we pay a lot to get member benefits, and we shouldn't have to barter and beg to get decent liquors. Even though I ended on a negative note, all in all, it was a fantastic 11 days! It's the staff that can make or break your experience and the staff here are the BEST!! They cater to your needs even before you know it's a need. We will return soon, maybe even before the end of the year!

Beautiful resort! Great restaurants with a nice selection of food varieties-all great tasting. Taco boat in the pool is a must! The hydrotherapy at the spa is the best we’ve ever experienced. Can’t forget about Enrique and Armando-best butlers!
