We had the most amazing trip and experience at Lux Grand Gaube. Special mention to Natisha, their wedding and events coordinator who created the most amazing beach wedding for us and handled all the formalities, making it stress free for us.

LUX Grand Gaube is a fantastic resort to unwind and spend days basking in the sun. The resort boasts 5 restaurants in addition to its main resturant, all of which have delicious food. The rooms are spacious and fresh, offering a reprieve from the heat. While the beach is not the most expansive, it has ample loungers that border the calm bay. The stand out of LUX Grand Gaube is the friendly natured staff. They are humble, attentive and aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Special mention needs to be made of Koushal & team (the bar), Manav (main pool and bar), and Ashvan (Creole smokehouse and BBs burger shack). They were warm, hospitable and personable who went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and special. I would highly recommend staying at the LUX Grand Gaube and requesting the above mentioned individuals for a most memorable experience.

This is our 3rd time staying at this lovely resort and as always the staff made our stay extra special. A big shout out to Reedoo who provided to our every need on the beech, Diren who treated us above and beyond in restaurant, all the amazing bar staff that made fabulous cocktails for us and finally Jayshree our maid who kept our room immaculate. All staff that remembered us from previous visits treated us like family and made it a total pleasure to return especially after arriving 2 days late after the airport was closed due to the cyclone. No doubt we will be visiting again someday soon in the future!

As repeat guests we get treated so well. Room upgrade & some other extras Nothing is too much trouble for the staff & you are made to feel special. Booked 2 weeks prior to our arrival for honeymoon. 4 days before we requested a date change due to husbands mother falling ill which they refused and stated no refunds. Understandable so i travelled and checked in alone with my husband due to join after 3 days. On 27th Feb his flight from London coming into mauritious via dubai eas cancelled as of Cyclone 3 warning, Also the airport being closed Next flight offered was to be departing 2 days later and not arriving untill 2nd march which would only leave him 2 days of a all inclusive holiday paid.. so no point. They refused refund or date change for a All inclusive package booked however cannot even offer to faciliate the all inclusive programme as restaurants closed! (Beach rouge) etc. Beach closed off spa closed yesterday 27.02.25 etc, guests stuck in hotel room! my room also not cleaned past 2 days and disgusting which cockroach and dead insects in room. main communal areas mostly dirty. The worst Lux experience received today i had to call guest service cleaning twice from my room to send somebody over. when i went to reception this morning to address my concerns about the my concerns as this is supposed to be all inclusive and you failed to offer this.. I just had a blank responce to say tomorrow will get better hopefully. We booked into Lux after such a fantastic stay we had at lux maldives however this is the worst holiday i am having and the worst experience ever. The resort itself is also understaffed and many guests complaning about poor service especially in palm court restaurant.. Today again at palm court for lunch we are only being offered either spaghetti-pizza or burger for lunch. Im weitibg this review having been sat down waiting 1 hour now for my pizza which i have reminded 3 different waiters of. what a pure joke for what they charged for all inclusive which is more than double the price compared to if we booked as room only. We had another march stay booked here which we have now cancelled and upon return will be taking this up with tour operator. DO NOT book this resort under no circumstance if you are looking for a decent holiday as it only deliveres a 3 star service in all aspects. room 3229 Firat

Firstly we were warmly welcomed by Gevin at the parking he took our luggage parked our car and took us to the lobby area. Where Gwendoline was there she completed all the formalities check in was very smooth. Then I headed to Celebration desk where Jason helped to make my wife's birthday memorable we had dinner at beach where Veemal at Beach rouge attended us. Then Kunal came to assure everything is going well also the cake they sent to our room. Chef Deepak & Chef Jipender had prepared a traditional indian thali in the dinner actually we were feeling like home. Afzal Aditya Suchita Poonam all were different department always assured that our stay is nice & enjoyable. We had great time here at Lux Grand Gaube in Mauritius 😄

The hotel’s location is excellent, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the entire place is spotless and well-maintained. Durgesh and his team warmly welcomed us at every meal, providing outstanding service. The food was impeccable, and the staff was always both professional and kind. At the beach, Reedoo and his team made sure we received top-notch service from start to finish. Whether it was bringing us cold drinks, fresh towels, or setting up our sunbeds, they always did so with a smile. The only downside was the slow WiFi and the lack of clear information on the website, which led to a slow and somewhat confusing check-in process. However, Elena did a fantastic job resolving the issue, ensuring everything was sorted smoothly. Any minor concerns we had were quickly addressed to our satisfaction, and we’re leaving happy, already looking forward to our next visit!

This was our second stay at this amazing hotel and it lived up to our expectations. It is so difficult to write a review that does the hotel justice because it is such a special place with staff that go the extra mile to ensure you have the best experience. We arrived a few hours before the check in time and we would recommend that you put a change of clothes in your hand luggage, although you may have to wait for your room you are able to shower and change your clothes, the staff will look after your luggage and it then appears in your room often before you get there. I would recommend the all inclusive package as this starts when you arrive and doesn’t end until you leave the resort on the last day. The room we had was the ocean view suite and as we requested a quiet room ours overlooked a bay at the back of the resort which suited us (3263) .The room was kept immaculately clean by Sabrina and had everything you needed. The hotel provides a full size powerful hair dryer with a direction nozzle so ladies there’s no need to bring your own. Toiletries are provided along with, nail files, shower caps etc so you don’t have to bring your any which keeps the weight of your luggage down. If you are all inclusive the mini bar is included and contains soft drinks, beer, red and white wine and even gin and rum! There is also a snack drawer with crisps, sweets etc. These are replenished daily. The beach we used was in the adult section and there are plenty of sun loungers on the beach and around the pool, no need to get up early, we often had the beach to ourselves until 10.30. We were looked after well by Kumar and Saif who soon knew where we liked to sit and were there with towels as we arrived, also as we were all inclusive they provided us with a cool box filled with our choice of drinks, usually sparkling water, sprite and beers for my husband. There are buttons on sun shades to press if you don’t want to leave your lounger to get drinks or even burgers etc at lunch time. I must mention Selvon, an unassuming gentleman who kept the adult area clean and tidy he always greeted us with a smile and would chat to us about fishing etc.and was very knowledgeable about the weather. The restaurants are very good, the Palm Court, the buffet had plenty of choice and there was good variety of meat/fish and vegetarian options. We talked to Deepak one of the chefs and it’s clear they take great pride in the quality and standard of food. I can’t mention the Palm Court without a special mention regarding Diren, we found all the staff helpful but he goes the extra mile to welcome guests and ensure you have everything you need. The Bodrum blue was one of our favourites for lunch, the food is fantastic and the manager Durgesh is a super star, he not only looked after us whilst we were eating but took an interest in how we were enjoying our holiday. When we said we had requested a small table for our room a couple of times ( ours seemed to have disappeared) , he rang to try and sort it for us. The following morning he made a point of asking if one had arrived and when we said it hadn’t he and another gentleman carried a table and a couple of chairs to our room. If that isn’t exceptional service I don’t know what is. The Beach Rouge was my husbands favourite for lunch, mainly because of the seafood bisque, he said it was the best he’d tasted. Purgon looked after us and is always happy to assist with a choice from the menu and couldn’t have been more helpful. BB’s was a great experience, my husband loved the burgers and I had the veggieshroom which I would highly recommend to a vegetarian. Shyam served us on 2 occasions and always made us feel welcome. Finally the Creole, in the evening traditional Mauritian food is served, the menu was designed by chef Udash, and he said it was probably the hardest job he’d had to do. He hadn’t let himself down we went twice and each time Ashwan went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our experience, we even tried Mauritian wine made from lychee’s. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return.

We spent 10 very lazy days and very much looking forward to coming back next year, when we may just do the same! The warmth of the Mauritian people is so welcoming in this troubled world and it was so nice to just switch off from outside world and be pampered. All the staff were amazing, but a special mention for Kumar and Saif on the Banyan beach, Reedoo on the main beach (close your eyes and make a wish!) and also the smile of Sarah n the Beach Rouge and Lucy in the main restaurant. There are so many more who made our stay so memorable, thank you.

The first thing that greets you in this lovely hotel is the most amazing view of the reception with the beach and sea glistening beyond . Our stay has been lovely and relaxing and we have had some fabulous staff helping making our holiday a fab one . The beach view immediately relaxes you and days have been spent watching the world go by from this beautiful bay . Reedo and his team on the beach (Veer , Liam , Chirag , Viresh , Maxwell and. Niantso ) go out of their way to look after you . After a few days they knew what to bring these creatures of habit without us even having to ask . Always on hand for drinks , or re-making towels on sunbeds , to cleaning your sunglasses or spritzing with a cool face mist , they have all been great and these little touches have made a lovely difference. We’ve had some delicious food during our stay and have loved the laid back vibe of Beach Rouge - special mentions to Raven , Akshay, Veemal and Sarah . Loved the insights into local Mauritian wine one evening from Raven, who was always there for service with a lovely smile 😊. Bodrum Blue was also amazing and the lunch and dinner there have been consistently excellent and compliments to the chef and notably Krishi who was excellent! The beach activities have been great fun and despite a few red flag days the inclusive paddle boarding , kayaking and water skiiing have been great fun and again the water sports staff have been lots of fun so shout out to them . There have been a few things that the hotel itself could improve on , minor things that didn’t personally spoil the holiday for us but these little things all add up and make a difference - having to request hand towels for the bathroom on a few occasions (seems minor but ladies have hair needs especially in this humidity !) when they should just be left with the housekeeping service each day . We also felt the booking system for restaurant reservations needs improvement (maybe the option to book on your app ?) on at least 3 occasions the restaurants did not have our table reservation that we had made with the concierge team , this wasn’t so much of an issue for us as it was a quiet time at the hotel but that would be something that would be an issue when busier . Overall we have had a lovely relaxing time here and would definitely recommend it .

We had a lovely 3 night stay at one of the Junior Prestige Suites at this outstanding resort. We relaxed and experienced excellent food at Beach Rouge, Bodrum, Smokehouse and Palm Court. It has been over a week since returning to the UK after the most magical holiday staying at the Lux Grand Gaube hotel in Mauritius. As soon as we arrived in the evening, we were warmly greeted by the night manager Kunal and a lovely lady on reception (I am so sorry I forgotten her name, but I do remember she is originally from Tunisia). We were given a welcome drink and a damp face towel to freshen up whilst we checked in, then shown to our room. It was the Chinese New Year, which was nice that the hotel celebrated it. It was our first time in Mauritius, and the following day was my partner’s 60th birthday. A week before arriving I booked a table at the Beach Rouge restaurant for the two of us to celebrate. The hotel went above and beyond what I was expecting. A table for two was set on the beach itself, placed in the centre of a heart shape drawn in the sand and surrounded by lit up lanterns. At the end of the meal, they presented him with a chocolate birthday cake that tasted so good. Another one of our highlights was booking the Hug Me Honey experience, which I highly recommend. Chef Deepuck Gooljar was very passionate about the bees and we learnt a lot, but his main passion is his cooking. He created the most beautiful looking and tasting 3 course meal, which was served outside in one of the most tranquil part of the hotel grounds, not too far from where the bees are kept. Chef Deepuck also created a lovely meal for us on our last night at the hotel, which was special. My partner and I couldn’t start the day without the bright smile from Sylvano in his iconic cap at the Café Lux . For some reason I couldn’t pronounce mochaccino first thing in the morning, but he knew exactly what I meant and he made it perfectly. I also recommend the cinnamon frappe. With the most friendly and helpful staff, overall the Lux Grand Gaube was the hotel that kept on giving. Whether it’s eating your meals in the Palm Court to the soothing sound of live music, or the private show in the cinema for finding a message in a bottle, to having a glass bottom boat ride, and relaxing on the beach or in the spa, it all contributed to making it a memorable stay. We highly recommend this hotel.

Back from another wonderful visit to Lux Grand Gaube in Mauritius. We have been many times at this stage and it never disappoints! It is always a pleasure to receive the exceptional hospitality from such people as Elena and Sandeep from reception. Èxceptionally professional and welcoming. Our memories on this ocassion are for the beautiful food from each of the restaurants. We were in awe of the food served by Deepuk and the team from the main carvery restaurant Palm Court, we could easily have eaten there every day with different dishes on each occasion. The calmness of the resort and the attention to their clients is what puts Lux Grand Gaube as our number 1 holiday destination. We always look forward to meeting such friends as Ashwan, Reedoo Diren and Kouschal, who are true ambassadors for the resort.
