After two marvellous nights at Le Bora Bora Pearl Resorts we speit two nights at Le Tahiti. Le Tahiti is clearly getting on in years. It doesn't look very inviting from the outside. The complex is worn out and in desperate need of a new coat of paint. The rooms themselves are clean and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is manageable and the food generally not bad but with a lot of room for improvement. The staff, on the other hand, are very friendly and courteous.

Stayed here for two nights following an extended tour in New Zealand and enroute to Moorea. We stayed in an Ocean View room which was comfortable but somewhat dated and in need of a refresh. The hotel is in the quiet Arau area of Tahiti approximately 20 minutes by road from Papeete. It fronts on to a black sand beach and during our stay the sea was quite surfy, so quite dangerous and therefore not suitable for a casual and relaxing swim. There is a restaurant that offers a variety of dining options during the day and various evening events, buffets normally are provided to coincide with a range of cultural events. We were disappointed by the buffet breakfast which was uninspiring to say the least with only a limited choice of fresh fruit, surprising for a hotel in such a tropical location and an average array of other uninspiring fare. Interestingly two out of the three coffee machines were not working when we were there. The hotel has a large pool and plenty of sun loungers and other chairs plus a jacuzzi, which, for some unexplained reason was not working. A previous reviewer, who stayed at this hotel some months ago commented on this but clearly management of the hotel do not see its repair ( assuming it’s broken which was never made clear) as a priority. It’s a shame as the hotel with some reinvestment could be so much better. Occupancy when we were there did not seem particularly high so one wonders how much better it would be with some reinvestment and attention to detail. A few other things were irritants. Getting through on the room phone to the Reception proved nigh impossible as the number always seemed to be engaged. I addressed this with the hotel Receptionist when I checked out but she confirmed their phones were working OK. So was it our room phone that was not working and does anyone ever check something like this? Also on all of the information provided at check in there was no information on check out time. In the absence of being able to get through to Reception on the phone it was necessary to go there to get the answer! In summary if I was to return to Tahiti I think I would almost certainly choose somewhere different than this hotel

Be aware of you have any issues with mobility, back or knees they do have rooms that are two floors and they have booked you as an “ upgrade” and you find yourself in a room with lots of stairs

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day stay at the Le Tahiti By Pearl Resorts hotel only wish it was longer. The staff at the reception desk where very friendly and very helpful providing us with information n the availability of the free shuttle into the town. They also provided us with suggestions of were to eat locally and arranged transport for us via a good taxi firm. The room was very spacious and had a lovely view out over the beach and the sea, along with the necessary amenities such as water, tea, coffee facilities etc. Would recommend this hotel to our friends and family world wide and hope to return and toi stay at this hotel again in the future.

Recently stayed at this gorgeous resort -- lush gardens and perfect views. Room was spacious and clean and bed was excellent. Especially liked the extra 1/2 bath. Recently stayed at this gorgeous resort -- lush gardens and perfect views. Room was spacious and clean and bed was excellent. Especially liked the extra 1/2 bath. However, lots of maintenance issues including the pool not being clean; hot tub not in operation; understaffed; no concierge or activities personnel and everything is done through the front desk; no pool towels or attendant at pool; service uneven though the front desk is very helpful. Also, our room could use paint and repair of some of the wood.

We were there only between 2 flights. personnel gentle, even if not not seedy at all. A bit old, with outdated forniture and pieces. (SEE photos) the same for the elevator: all signed with ruined doors. As said, we were there to pass a night after 22 h of flight....

There was a marriage party, -till at 4 o'clock .. with a lot of drunk people around near the disco. Other people spoke aloud in the balcony near our room. I can understand the people want to have fun, but a serious Hotel keep care also for other hosts.

Lovely resort in the quiet area of Arue. About 20 mins east of Papeete. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a balcony kitchen. Nice walks along the black sand beach. With views over to the island of Moorea. The restaurant has a nice selection of delicious a la carte meals. And the buffet served during the dance shows is particularly good. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well situated for exploring the island.

We loved staying at Le Tahiti. All of the staff were friendly and efficient, especially the restaurant staff who looked after us very well. When our onward flight was cancelled at short notice the front desk were very helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. The views from our room were stunning, especially the sunsets. The hotel gardens are immaculate. I awarded four stars particularly because I found the pool, which is in pristine condition, uncomfortably cold so didn’t use it as often as I should, and the lunch and dinner menus are the same. These are minor, and completely personal, gripes in the scheme of things.

It is not close to any alternative places to eat out unless you take the ‘expensive’ taxis. The only reason I say this is because we have eaten at the hotel for the 4 days we stayed and have not had a meal yet that you could honestly say ‘wow’...

The only reason I say this is because we have eaten at the hotel for the 4 days we stayed and have not had a meal yet that you could honestly say ‘wow’ I would have that again. I am not making reference to the pricing just the quality, or lack of. The menu is ‘ flat’ and the specials ( which we have tried) were pretty tasteless. It’s almost like the kitchen don’t have salt or pepper etc. Very surprising bearing in mind the French connection. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, room we had was clean and kept stocked. The hotel puts on a free shuttle into Papeete with last pick up at 16.30.

We flew to Tahiti last September and stayed at Le Tahiti by Pearl for 3 nights before heading to Morea then Bora Bora. The hotel was clean and tidy. Our room with sea view and jacuzzi was amazing, looking out onto the black sand beach. The restaurant and pool area were a great place to chill out. All in all, a great place to relax and start to sort the jet lag from UK. A great nights entertainment with the local fire dancers etc, book in advance to get a seat. A 20 min bus or taxi ride from town, and there was a free bus service into town if required. John & Simone from Leeds, UK.

At the hotel owned parking lot, our rental car was damaged by a falling piece of rock. The hotel initially assured us of handling the damages. However, now that we are back home, they are ignoring all messages, and we are left with the costs of almost € 2000,-

We stayed here two nights after arriving while waiting to transfer via ferry to Moorea. Clean, quiet grounds adjacent to the ocean. They have a large outdoor dining area. Rooms are clean and spacious. bathroom was narrow and a bit crowded for two people. It was spread-out linearly rather than width wise like a regular room. Beds were comfortable and clean. The room lights/AC are tied to a room key sensor, so it'll turn off when you leave with a key card. Satisfying stay and good value for a ocean view hotel.

We stayed one night here on our way from LA to Bora Bora. We weren't told about any shuttle service from the hotel, so we had to get a taxi both ways. The welcome was very warm, and most exciting for me was the offer to use the spa shower after a long travel day! Most refreshing. The room was nice, and we really loved the hot tub (though the shutters around it didn't work so it was like being in a box). This was especially nice since the public hot tub wasn't heating. The beach was amazing! We thought the sand would be rough and hot, but it was the softest sand I'd ever walked on. And cool as well. The waves intermittently crash in, so if you're a light sleeper, ear plugs are recommended. The show was fun, but unless you're sitting at a table in the front row, it's hard to see it and get good photos/videos without heads and other people's phones in the way. I was glad that we only stayed here a night and spent the majority of our time at Pearl's Le Bora Bora though. There didn't seem to be a lot to do. But the property is beautiful and perfect for doing just about nothing.

Everything was perfect! The hotel is beautiful, beautiful restaurant and bar, good food, the room was spacious, clean, very comfortable bed, great bathroom, big balcony and perfect Jacuzzi.
