What a fabulous island, what a fabulous hotel, what a fabulous stay. As advertised, Boro Boro is a paradise to enjoy and this hotel and staff played their part in ensuring we did this. The overwater room allowed us to enjoy the beautiful pristine waters, the breakfasts fantastic and the trips we did were both amazing; snorkeling with Maowi and a Romantic dinner cruise. Both were top highlights of our trip. Singing Bora Bora with Maoiwi while his playing his Ukulele on the beautiful waters after snorkeling is a lifetime moment. As was eating dinner out during sunset and then under the stars of the amazing night sky you get in such a remote setting. We were super lucky to experience all this and thoroughly thankful to the fabulous local hospitality.

This hotel was fantastic! I read lots of reviews before we selected it. Most of the reviews were positive with just a few negatives, and it's at a good price point so we chose it. So glad we did! Every single person working there was so nice and helpful. We opted for a beach bungalow as we wanted to be able to step right out on to the sand, and it was great. Our room was large and comfortable. A few reviewers said the rooms were "dated" but we LOVED the old Polynesian vibe. Everything was clean and in great working order. The wifi was so good we were really surprised. We also liked not being out on a motu as we were able to rent bikes and ride around the island, and eat at a couple other restaurants as we were not trapped on a motu. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Lunch and dinner menus were a bit limited, but the hotel is not that large so that was understandable. The food was quite good. The hotel thought of so many small things--we even found a vinyl tote on our bed the last night so we had someplace to pack our wet suits if we went for a swim before going to the airport! They provide a very classy stainless steel water bottle for use and to keep. Everywhere in Bora Bora is extremely expensive so be prepared for that. The negatives were so minor but here they are: 1. They don't use 100 percent juice at the breakfast buffet or in the cocktails, just some watered down sugary juice mixes so the cocktails were not very good. We mostly drank beer. We also brought a bottle of rum from home (you can find some that are in plastic bottles) and went to the grocery store and bought real juice so that we could make our own drinks in our room. There are water and ice stations throughout the resort. 2. The music at the pool/restaurant is awful. It's elevator music for sure. While the crowd is definitely a bit on the older side, I think they could have pepped it up a bit, especially in the daytime to make things feel a bit more fun. (we are not young but jeez--Sade an even Sade covers?) 3. It would have been nice to have a shower curtain of some sort. The shower is open to the bathroom so it's hard to keep things dry. Honestly, that's all we could think of as negatives. Go there you will love it!

The hotel is located on the top spot of Bora Bora, right behind Matira Beach, the best on the island, and inside a turquoise water bay. No coral reef/marine animals, however. The bungalows are good, although nothing luxurious. Unfortunately, these are the only pros we can talk about for Le Moana. The rest is quite mediocre, if compared to properties in the same category, due to the sluggish attitude shown by the staff. All they seem able to do are fake "Ia ora na" and "Maururuu". Nothing else. Some examples: forget about the free bar in your room, refilled every day, like at Sofitel Moorea or Le Taha'a. Want something to drink? Go fill up your water bottle at the general water dispenser. The alternative is the bar, with 3000 XPF drinks, each. Second point: one day my husband and I left our bungalow at 10:50. About 10 minutes before leaving, the cleaning lady opened the door, of course without ringing/knocking. Seeing us, she apologized and left, not before I told her she could come back in 5-10 minutes. She nodded and left without a word. At 16:30 we returned... and our room was exactly as we had left it. We then called the front desk, only to be told that "someone would come around 17:00". Actually, the "someone" in question arrived at 19:25. In the meantime, we called the front desk again and the same guy explained in the same lazy voice that people can't expect the same treatment as on the mainland, while they are in Polynesia. "These are islands, madame". Now, if the treatment is lower than elsewhere, should the prices go down accordingly? Not quite... Third: on the last night we planned to leave the concierge an envelope with the money we were supposed to give to the captain of our lagoon excursion. Absolutely not! "We do not take valuables from our customers." Question: what purpose does a concierge have, if not to provide a reliable counterpart for customers? Is this lack of service typical of "the islands" too? In short, we gave the same envelope to someone else the next morning, saying it was just a personal thank you note. Eventually, it was accepted and delivered. Fourth example: the property has signs/notes everywhere reminding customers to never, ever, leave any personal items unattended; the hotel does not take responsibility for stolen objects. Really?! How can a place like this not have security guards checking around to make sure everything is okay? Is this "the islands’' fault again? Last but certainly not least, the horrendous attitude we witnessed from the manager towards a newly arrived couple who simply asked for an early check-in, at around 11 am. I am talking about the same person who gushes out responses starting with: "Thank you for taking the time to write such considerations that we will treasure, along with the rest of the staff". Well, she certainly did not show the same chirping attitude towards those two people, even though they clearly looked devastated after an endless intercontinental flight. Instead, she went as far as to scold them, pointing out they should have booked the room a day earlier, if they wanted an early check-in. So, as their room would be ready at 15:00, as stated on the reservation, their only option was to go get (i.e. buy) something at the bar/restaurant, waiting for the room to be ready, as the hotel was "full". End of the story. No decency at all. We were so appalled by such arrogance that we sneaked out, feeling sorry for the customers, but finally understanding why the people there are so ineffective; a contemptuous leadership will never create any motivation for work, let alone any passion. Detail: my husband and I left the hotel at 7:15 am and there were at least 3 other couples checking out with us. Of course, such departures happen every day, so the "we are full" story is a big, fat lie, aimed at squeezing even more money from the guests. All in all, this is a place showing the typical American goal: customers should just pay – a lot – and shut up. Not exactly the kind of treatment any non-American is used to. In fact, a good 50% of the guests are from the US, only coming out of their air-conditioned rooms to fill up on the hotel food and booze; that’s why both the beach and the lagoon are always half empty. The rest is mainly made up by French who can be found at "The lucky house", the private restaurant right next to the hotel that thrives on dissatisfied guests of "Le Moana". In the end we deflected 5 couples of friends originally planning to come here to "Le Bora Bora"; it is a Relais & Chateaux establishment, thus guaranteeing the quality and elegance its high-end clientele is expecting. We suggest everyone to do the same.

Bora Bora has been on my wife's list of places to go forever. Deciding on a hotel was, for me, a daunting task. The Le Moana Resort was the right choice and if ever we go to Bora Bora again this will be our only choice. Just about every aspect of customer service was on point. We did go to the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort Thalasso Spa for a massage, and it was a nice place, but the Le Moana was the better choice, and I feel had the more helpful and real and honest hotel team members. The Saturday night show at the hotel was spectacular and something that we won't soon forget. The only bad part which was a minor inconvenience was that out air con stopped working but I called the front desk and in less than 5 minutes it was back up and running. We did do the overwater bungalow which was awesome.

We have just left this resort (intercontinental Le Moana) and what a beautiful location Bora Bora is. A place to be visited for sure. The resort was lovely and quiet, and so relaxing. The staff were excellent. The resort Manager, Laurence, is very passionate at ensuring their guests have a great experience. She is also very knowledgeable and very experienced in hospitality, this can be felt immediately when meeting her. During our stay we had one minor issue that was immediately resolved after raising. Would we come back again? Yes, in a heartbeat. Thank you to Laurence and her team, it was a pleasure to stay with you. We will be back 🏝️

This is our second stay in Bora-Bora, first time at this resort. It's everything we wanted it to be. Absolutely perfect. No complaints. We really enjoyed staying on the actual island. The resorts on the motus are secluded and nice, but we enjoyed being on the island more. There are two incredible snorkel spots nearby. One within a short kayak distance and one within walking distance. We walked to the scooter rental place and had a great afternoon on scooter. Enjoyed amazing sunsets from matira beach (which is RIGHT outside the resort) and enjoyed even better sunrises from our rooms. Morning coffee on the patio of your over the water Bungalow is worth every penny. Staying on the island also means you can just walk over to the store. Was definitely a hassle at our stay on a motu. The restaurants were good. The cocktails are everything you want them to be on your tropical vacation! The service was friendly. I went over to their sister resort for a spa day. The other resort is definitely fancier. But it also felt stuffy. This one just feels like you're in paradise. I was able to completely relax and be content. Regardless of prices, I'd stay at the Moana over Thalasso. It's truly wonderful. We stayed at the Pearl previously and the sand is softer at Moana. The snorkeling is by far better (the coral garden is so close). The give you reusable water bottles and have fill stations. I'm a picky water drinker and the water was very drinkable. They also have a shower room you can use if you have a flight later in the day. Was nice to hang at the beach until the afternoon and then be able to freshen up before our redeye back home. We'll definitely be returning!

We normally don't care for day passes and originally wanted just to grab a bite for lunch at the Vini Vini, although after doing a quick math we figured out that we would probably spend a similar amount just dining, so we opted for the day pass, at around $145 USD for two people. Day Pass came with a 2 course lunch (no drinks included, though the hotel offers refillable water, both flat and sparkling) at their Vini Vini restaurant - reviewed that separately, nice experience there. As to the Day Pass itself, it was a bit strange of thing as you almost get treated, although with respect and still politely, but you are treated a bit like a 2nd class citizen with just limited access to the certain beach area and limited area of where you can move, and a designated beach only - I found it a bit strange as there is that much a person would want to stay in one spot during a day, and that area is very small/limited - for the record I am not complaining about not being able to access the pool as nobody comes to BB to be in a pool when you have Matira Beach... When we wanted to walk and stretch our legs through the bungalows to go to the final dock we were told we are not allowed - one could say safety? or respect to the others guests perhaps, but my point would be if I can afford paying $150 to come here, technically for a lunch, I think we are pretty safe :) and that seeing different views/perspective is really what makes this type of visits worth the $, so had I known the limitations I probably would have just opted for the lunch and left, probably hotel should have not sell these passes if they are concerned about their patrons being bothered/passed by the outside visitors... The beach is nice, but across the street there is free public Matira Beach so you can't beat that - perhaps maybe in those other areas where Day Pass guests aren't allowed there is something better/prettier. My biggest complain would be the sun beds/chairs - we tried 3 different sets, on every single one I kept on sliding down - something with the material they are made off. All in all, it's not bad but it's not worth it either to pay the Day Pass fee and then be "separated" - I thought it's a bit distasteful. I can't refer to the hotel stay experience as I bet it's nice, as all these hotels really are - you have to try real hard to make these type of stays unpleasant or nonmemorable when you have the beauty of the island available to you

The resort is everything you would imagine of a 5* resort in paradise. The welcoming team at the airport provided a seamless transfer to the private speedboat transfer to the hotel in approx 25 minutes. Checkin was excellent with a mini guided tour of the resort and a personal greeting from the hotel GM - Laurence Levy. The concierge team were fantastic at organising trips and hotel staff throughout the resort were always friendly and helpful. The resort has the added benefit of being on the main island so you can walk to a few local shops and restaurants if you want to get out for a few hours (difficult though when staying in a beautiful water bungalow). There is also a magnificent public beach close to the where you can walk for an hour watching the local sea life / meeting locals. Bora Bora is everything I expected (and little more) and should be added to anyone’s bucket list if budgets allow.

We had such a wonderful and beautiful stay at Le Moana. It’s located on a perfect part of the main island of Bora Bora - you’re able to walk or ride a bike to most places nearby (there’s even an Avis rental place very close!). We did have a few windy days but it didn’t stop us from snorkeling or enjoying our overwater bungalow. We were in the smaller cluster of bungalows that was off to the side and, in my opinion, we had the best room in the place! It was advertised as a Beach View Bungalow but we had gorgeous mountain views and were beyond happy with where we were located. It was a gorgeous walk to breakfast every morning. The resort itself is quite primitive but in a beautifully done way - it’s serene and peaceful and we felt very welcomed. We enjoyed breakfast and dinners at the resort, desserts were out of this world amazing! Highly recommend this resort for its serenity, welcoming and friendly staff and location in Bora Bora (staying out on one of the motus means a water taxi to the main island every time you want to go someplace for dinner or to an excursion, definitely something to consider when booking a trip!).

A dream come true to visit Bora Bora. With only 1 night in the Le Moana we wanted to make the most of our time. We arrived about 1030am from another location in Matira, We were checked in and given a pager. We sat for maybe 4.5 hours around the windy pool, only to find the pager was not working and we could have checked in earlier. I wish someone had come to find us. But anyway, we booked a mountain view OWB, and were given one on the opposite side - room 30. It was good but the next morning the weather was much better and the mountain view would have been amazing. The OWB had all we needed and we enjoyed the swimming and snorkelling from the deck. Feeding the fish was great through the glass coffee table. We ate in the hotel in the evening, pizza and it was nice. As Matira is limited on places to eat. You only have a few choices but the hotel was good. The hotel grounds were lovely and the staff nice. My only wish is that someone found us when our room was ready as we may have had an extra hour or two to enjoy it on what was our limited time and budget. If you want to go to BB and you are on a budget then this is the place as you have the experience of the OWB but not as ££ as the big hotels. The water equipment is free and that really was enjoyable, although the wind made things difficult as we were unable to do some trips. Think about that when you plan to go.

I had a hard time deciding whether to give this resort a four- or five-star rating. I felt as though the resort itself deserves five stars because everything looked very attractive and was well maintained, and all the staff that we dealt with were friendly and helpful. But I'm giving it four stars because of its location. On one hand, its location on the main island has some real advantages because restaurants, stores and other amenities are easily accessible, but its location also means it's exposed to the east winds that are prevalent in French Polynesia. During our six-day stay on Bora Bora, there were at least three days when the winds were blowing so strongly from the east that it wouldn't have been comfortable at all to sit out on the deck of our overwater bungalow at the IC Le Moana. The winds also affected our enjoyment of the viewing window in the floor of our bungalow because they often made the lagoon water so wavy that we couldn't see the fish clearly when we looked down through the coffee table. We had no complaints about the resort itself, but our enjoyment of Bora Bora was definitely affected by the resort's windy location. We were in lagoon-view overwater bungalow #22, and the bungalow was absolutely beautiful. It was situated in a very nice spot along the walkway, facing north and looking out over the lagoon toward Bora Bora's mountains. The bathroom of the bungalow was large, with very good mirrors and lighting and plenty of counter space. It had two basins, a bathtub, and an unenclosed shower. There was a clothesline in the bathroom. In our bungalow there were two umbrellas, a good-sized safe, a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board, a flashlight, a clock, two bathrobes, two pairs of slippers, two life vests, and something that appeared to be a large tarp. There were also two water bottles that could be filled with drinking water at the ice machines/water stations. Two of these stations are located along the walkways to the overwater bungalows. The electrical outlets in the bungalow were European style, so we had to use our adapters to plug in our shavers, curling iron, etc. The living/bedroom area of the bungalow was attractive, and it contained a desk and chair as well as the bed, sofa, and a cabinet that had a mini-fridge inside it. The viewing window below our coffee table was a good size, but there wasn't much coral beneath our bungalow. You can turn on a switch that lights up the area below this viewing window at nighttime. The fridges in the bungalows aren't stocked with any free bottled water or other beverages. A lot of information about the resort can be found on the TV in your bungalow. Additional info (the resort's restaurant and bar menus, info about activities that you can book, car rentals, bike rentals, etc.) can be obtained by scanning the QR codes that are found on a sheet of paper on the desk in the bungalow. The bungalows and walkways are very well maintained. We even saw a staff member standing in the lagoon and scrubbing down the ladders that can be lowered from the decks of the overwater bungalows into the water. The public areas (pool, reception area, beach, etc.) at this resort aren't as impressive as at some of the other, more expensive Bora Bora resorts. Because of its location on a fairly narrow strip of land, this resort doesn't have, for example, the sprawling expanses of lush vegetation that you might find at some of the resorts on the motus. The buffet breakfast is available from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. daily. It was very good. It offered a good selection of foods, and there was some variation in the dishes from day to day. We ate one dinner at the resort's Vini Vini bar and restaurant. At the Vini Vini, salads cost 2090 to 3600 CFP, poisson cru was 2700, poke bowls were 2790 to 2830, a classic burger with fries was 2340, a fish burger was 2450, a chicken club sandwich was 2790, croque monsieur was 2610, fish entrees were 3380 to 3980, rib-eye steak was 4200, vegetarian dishes were 2040 to 2790, most side dishes were 680, pasta dishes were 2030 to 2470, tacos were 3000, pizzas were 1620 to 1890, most desserts were 1400 to 1790, ice cream and sorbets were 430, and ice cream sundaes were 1650. At the resort's Noa Noa restaurant, fish dishes cost 3280 to 3980 CFP, meat dishes cost 3250 to 4490, vegetarian and vegan dishes 2040 to 2700, most desserts 1400 to 1790, and ice cream and sorbet cost 430. The resort offers a Polynesian show and buffet on Tuesday and Saturday evenings in the Noa Noa restaurant. The cost is 8200 CFP per adult (not including beverages). The buffet menu is different on each of the two nights. We attended the Tuesday show. We thought the buffet was excellent and the show was okay. We had seen a Polynesian show on Moorea the previous week, so maybe we would have been more enthusiastic about this show if we hadn't seen a similar one such a short time before. Use of the Le Moana's paddleboards, one- or two-person kayaks, snorkelling equipment, life vests and life jackets is free. You can get them at the same beach shack where you get beach towels. We used one of the two-person kayaks, and there didn't seem to be any time limit on how long we could have it. We used it to paddle over to the coral gardens behind the former Sofitel Private Island so we could snorkel there, which is well worth doing. There's a great variety of beautiful fish at the coral gardens, and we also saw colourful giant clams and a moray eel there. When we were checking in at the Le Moana, we had to sign some safety rules that cited a law saying non-motorized watercraft and sports equipment can't be taken more than 300 metres offshore, so we didn't know whether we'd be allowed to paddle over to the coral gardens. But on the first calm day, we saw that other people were using the resort's kayaks to go there, so we decided to take a chance too. You need to be alert for motorboats and jet skis when kayaking across the lagoon (and also when snorkelling). When you get to the island that's beside the coral gardens, the shoreline is rocky, but you can find openings where it's possible to pull up the kayak and beach it among the rocks while you swim out a very short distance to snorkel in the gardens. Because the shoreline is rocky, water shoes are a must. There are some corals and slippery rocks in the shallow water along the shore, but it's not too difficult to get through this shallow part and out to deeper water where you can snorkel freely. Matira Beach (the public beach) is just across the road from the Le Moana lobby. When the wind is blowing from the east, this public beach is far less windy than the resort's beach. I briefly tried snorkelling at the public beach, but the section where I snorkelled just had pieces of dead coral, and I saw only one fish. I don't know whether the snorkelling would have been better if I'd entered the water at a different part of the beach. For us, one of the advantages of staying at the Le Moana was its proximity to restaurants, stores, and other services on the main island. If you walk out through the Le Moana lobby and down the lane that leads to the main road and then turn right, you'll soon come to a couple of stores and a couple of restaurants. Almost immediately you'll come to the Tiare Market Shop on the left side. It sells things like swimwear and souvenirs. Just after that, you'll come to the Lucky House restaurant (Fare Manuia) on the right side of the road. Lucky House is very popular and is open for lunch and dinner. It has a casual atmosphere and quite an extensive menu. If you want to eat dinner there, it's best to make a reservation because it gets filled up. You can also order takeout pizza there. We ate there three times. A hamburger with fries cost 2000 CFP. Pizzas cost about 1600 to 3000, with most in the 2100 to 2600 range. Most desserts were around 1400 to 1600, and a scoop of ice cream or sorbet was 400. If you continue walking past Lucky House you'll soon come to Magasin Matira on the left. It sells groceries at reasonable prices and is a good place to stock up if you want some snacks, soft drinks, etc. A little farther along the road you'll come to an Avis rental outlet on the right. Next you'll come to La Plage on the Left. My understanding is that you can arrange boat rentals from La Plage. Very close to La Plage is the Maitai Bora Bora restaurant (Tama'a Maitai), which is on the right and is open for lunch and dinner. At the Avis outlet you can rent cars, SUVs, electric vehicles, scooters, bicycles, and e-bikes. The Avis building is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. When we asked at the Le Moana concierge desk whether we would need an international driver's license to rent a car, we were told we'd need one, but when we went to this Avis outlet we were assured that a driver's license from a Canadian province was sufficient. We rented a small automatic-transmission car for a half day (four hours) for 14,600 CFP. This included the cost of insurance and fuel. The coast road that circles Bora Bora is 32 kilometres, and we made the circuit twice and still managed to return the car early. We found it interesting to see the island and get a sense of the homes where people live and the places where they conduct their business. The only area where the traffic was a little congested was at the main town, Vaitape. Before we decided to rent a car, we asked the Le Moana concierge how much it would cost to hire a taxi to make one full circle around the island and were told the cost for two people for a two-hour circle tour would be 15,000 CFP. The concierge can book the taxi for you. If you go out through the Le Moana lobby and down the lane that leads to the main road and then turn left, you'll come to the Bora Bora Beach Club restaurant after a short walk alongside the beach. It's open for lunch and dinner. We ate there one night. The atmosphere is casual and the service was friendly. Fish and chips cost 3100 CFP and a chicken burger with fries was 2500. Canned soft drinks were 550. A boat shuttles back and forth between the IC Le Moana and its sister resort, the IC Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa, at certain times during the day. The schedule can be found by scanning the "Activities and Spa" QR code in your bungalow. It's important to check the schedule in advance because there are long gaps between some of the transfer times. The transfer is free if you have a reservation at the Thalasso spa, but otherwise the cost of the transfer is 3915 CFP per person round trip. If you decide to take the shuttle, you choose your transfer times and make a reservation with the concierge. We went across to the Thalasso resort one day. It's on Motu Piti Aau, and the boat ride takes about 20 minutes. It's a gorgeous resort with beautifully landscaped grounds. At the Le Moana the wind was gusting from the east as usual that day, but we didn't feel any wind at all when we were on the beach/pool/wharf side of the Thalasso resort. If you get too hot at the Thalasso resort, though, you can walk to the "back" (ocean) side of the motu and get cooled off by the east wind. We went to the Thalasso resort mainly because we'd heard that it has a lagoonarium where you can snorkel. The lagoonarium is really a coral nursery where the resort is attempting to nurture many species of coral. When we first saw the lagoonarium (which is in front of a little chapel) we were somewhat disappointed because it didn't look like much, but once we got into the water with our snorkels and masks we enjoyed ourselves because we came across a surprising variety of fish species. Most of the corals aren't that colourful, but the fish made the snorkelling worthwhile for us. The water is shallow, and we took our time swimming around slowly for an hour or more. Fins aren't allowed in the lagoonarium. Regular sunscreen isn't allowed, but eco-friendly sunscreen is available free of charge where the pool attendants hand out towels. We tried snorkelling in the lagoon on the other side of the wooden bridge from the lagoonarium, but we saw only one fish and no interesting coral in that area. As I said above, we found the staff at the Le Moana friendly and helpful. They all spoke reasonably good English, so we had no communication problems. The power in our bungalow went off one day in the late afternoon. We reported the outage at the reception desk when we went for dinner, and the staff had our lights back on by the time we returned from our meal. They told us the power hadn't been restored to the plugs in the bedroom area yet but they'd be fixed the next day. Sure enough, a repairman came to our bungalow the next morning and worked on the electrical connections until those plugs were working again. We didn't ask for a late checkout but were very pleasantly surprised when the staff gave us one voluntarily. They extended our checkout time to 2 p.m. because our flight wasn't leaving Bora Bora until 4:10 p.m. If you need smaller bills or coins, the reception desk will change bills for you. The resort no longer sells fish food. According to the staff at the reception desk, feeding the fish through the window below the coffee table is no longer permitted. We understood this to mean that the law prohibits this now. We're not sure whether we'd stay at the IC Le Moana again if we ever returned to Bora Bora. As I said at the beginning, the resort itself was excellent, but its location makes you vulnerable to the effects of the east winds, and that can really limit your opportunity to enjoy the overwater bungalow experience to the fullest.

This was our last stop on our Tahitian vacation and we definitely saved the best for last! We opted to stay in more modest rooms on the other islands so we could splurge on an overwater bungalow at this resort and it was SO worth it! Private, super comfortable and beautiful views were what these fabulous bungalows offered. You could jump right into the water and snorkel with colorful fish and rays! There were local restaurants walking distance from the hotel if you wanted something different as well as a grocery store. One of the best things we did was do the jet skiing tour around the island and the shark/ray snorkel tour…fantastic! My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in an over the water hut. The experience was amazing and every staff member was so friendly. We chose this resort since it is attached to the island and we wanted to go explore easily. We were able to rent a car and drive around the island. The resort was helpful setting up transportation for us to the Heiva downtown and to a different restaurant off the property. We enjoyed the happy hour at the resort and the breakfasts and dinners. There was always fresh fish. The resort has great amenities available for no fee including snorkeling equipment, paddle boards, and kayaks. The resort is maintained very well and the manager always went out of her way to make sure we were doing well. I definitely recommend this resort and am happy we chose them! We really enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning and seeing the stingrays go by. The housekeeping was prompt everyday and always made sure we had everything we needed. We also really loved Vahine whenever we ate she was a pleasure to talk to.

Le Moana is an excellent hotel. We actually stayed in March 2023. We had a room above the water. We did not need to go very far for snorkelling. We had just to dive at the foot of our bedroom! We could see a huge and friendly number of multi coloured fish. During our stay we saw just one black tip small shark. We did not adventure to the middle of the laguna... Bora Bora is a great destination for the view BUT do not expect much in terms of shopping in a very small town except for stores that are selling pearls (white and black) and a small supermarket. Bora Bora was very far for us. Five hours flight to San Francisco + A couple of hours lay over + 9 hours flight to Papeete (Tahiti) + We spend the night in the Papeete airport and took one hour flight the morning after to Bora Bora... The hotel: great AC, spacious room, good bathroom with shower, etc. Restaurant: good food. Ask for Barbara the Manager of the hotel. She has a great sense of customer service. Should we come back? We would love to if it was not too far...
