We have just come back from Kihavah. Leaving UK gloomy weather to this paradise was more than what we could have ever hoped for. We are very well travelled and the Maldives has been on our list for a while. There are so many hotels to pick from but the reviews and our travel agent recommendation meant we decided to go for Kihavah. As a first timer in the Maldives this was a pretty spectacular place. Just go , you won't be disappointed. We had an overwater pool villa and it was everything we had hoped for. The restaurants are great. Spice was our favourite and the sky bar was very cool. We never went to Sea as the menu didn't suit us, it would have been nice to have different menu options so we could have experienced it. We went snorkelling a couple of times which was unbelievable, nothing like we've ever seen before ( and we've been to Mauritius, Caribbean, Mexico, Thailand, Bali..). The star gazing and observatory was a particular highlight for us too. Couples massage was top class. We went for 1 week but to be honest I wish I'd gone for 10 nights, we really didn't want to leave. Is it normal to be tearful when you are waving goodbye and to hug your villa host?! Which brings me onto the staff. The staff were outstanding in everyway. There is no "hotel reception" you have a villa host who you contact via whats app for anything you need. Ismail was just wonderful, thank you for everything. He would pop by at breakfast and dinner to see everything was ok but it was never intrusive, just friendly and one of the many ways the staff made you feel very special. Truly personalised service I've never experienced before. Thanks to Yaan and Junaidh for looking after us too. Well done to the manager and team and Kihavah, you have created a very special place. You really have ruined all our future holidays! How will we ever top this?!

A little paradise in middle of the Indian Ocean- kindness is the dna of all the people at Kihavah Dives are really wonderful, so many dishes , corals , anemones nature is still beautiful in Baa atoll Food is delicious We really recommend this place

It was a seven star experience from the moment we started our journey to the dreamy Anantara Kihavah. From the seaplane ride to the welcoming Maldivian drum to the amazing villa, the dining, the snorkeling and the beautiful surroundings. It was pretty hard to leave after 5 days. Our villa host Azmeen was amazing. He went above and beyond in every aspect of his service to make us feel incredibly welcome and ensured that our stay was nothing short of perfect. He even arranged for us to stay in a different villa while waiting for our villa to be ready and treated us breakfast since we had arrived earlier than the regular check in time. The entire staff treats the guests with respect. They’ll stop what ever they are doing and greet you when you walk by. The executive chef Joachim Textor walks between the different restaurants and stops by each table to greet and converse with the guests during breakfast and dinner. The management team took time out of their busy day as we were departing the island to make sure their services have met our expectations. We have travelled to many places in the world. The experience we had at Anantara Kihavah is definitely one of the best. Thank you to the entire Anantara team!

Our holiday at Anantara Kihavah Maldives was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional service that set the tone for our entire holiday. The resort itself is a breathtaking paradise—pristine white sands, crystal-clear waters, and tropical greenery. The overwater villas are nothing short of luxurious, offering stunning views, spacious interiors, and every amenity you could ever need. Dining at Anantara Kihavah was a highlight of the experience. The variety of options was incredible. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The spa was another standout, offering an incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating experience in a serene setting. We also enjoyed parasailing, giving us a bird's-eye view of the stunning island and surrounding waters! The staff went above and beyond, always attentive and friendly, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect, they simply could not do enough for us! The Anantara Kihavah is exactly what I imagined the Maldives to be. It was perfect in every way. The resort is private, the service is impeccable and the food is over the top. We stayed at two resorts during our visit. At one resort we stayed in an over water villa and at the Anantara we stayed in a beach villa. The beach was so private, there were times that we were the only ones in the water. And for all the other times, there was at most 2 other people. The snorkelling was great. We saw so many different types of fish and marine life from our beach. Each villa is equipped with bicycles to ride around the island and if you don't feel like riding your bike, it is walkable and if not, there is always someone available to pick you up in a buggy. We did a number of different excursions. We did the Shark and Turtle snorkelling. The staff is knowledgeable, professional and very experienced. It's must do at Kihavah. We also dined at all the speciality restaurants including Sea, which is the under water restaurant. It's very small and intimate. It was well worth it and highly recommended. And I have to give a shout out to Fire Restaurant. This is a Teppanyaki restaurant. Watching the chefs at work is entertaining. They will gladly answer any questions and give cooking advice. But the highlight and the reason to go to here, is the food. The quality is exceptional and is what you would expect at this type of restaurant. You will enjoy some of the best sushi ever! Fantastic! They do not cut corners or skimp on quality. The Anantara also offers "Cinema Under the Stars". This was actually a lot of fun. It's like being in your own movie theatre with gourmet food. We had everything from popcorn, chips, chocolate covered strawberries, scallops, shrimp salad, sliders, spring rolls, snacks and soda. The only criticism I have, is ordering still water at the restaurants. They offer unlimited water in the rooms, but not in the restaurant. If you want a glass of water, you have to buy a bottle of spring water at a cost of $17.00 USD. The villa hosts are available to you 24 hours / day. And their goal is to make your stay perfect and our villa host did exactly that. There are lots of places to stay in the Maldives, but without a doubt, there is no place better than Anantara Kihavah.

My wife and I went to Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas for our honeymoon and had a fabulous experience. From the moment we arrived at the airport in Malé, Anantara's staff were there to ensure we had a seamless travel experience and relaxing stay at the resort. We were guided to the seaplane terminal and a comfortable lounge to await our flight to the island. On arriving at the resort, we were shuttled from the seaplane to the dock by boat and met with a welcome reception and our concierge, Sittu. While the staff were without exception friendly and professional, Sittu went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Although the resort was at high occupancy and Sittu was helping multiple other guests, Sittu made us feel as if we were the only customers on his mind. He was always immediately responsive to questions, provided very helpful guidance in scheduling (and rescheduling) our dining and activities, and helped us get around the island by buggy when we had places to be (which was much appreciated on hot afternoons). We booked a sunset overwater villa and were delighted to learn on our arrival that the resort upgraded us to a larger, two-bedroom villa. The staff made the villa a welcome space with champagne on ice, a greeting spelled out in rose petals on our bed, pettifors and an overflowing fruit basket. The space itself was clean, bright and comfortable, with beautiful ocean views and windows down onto the water below. After arriving, we went for a guided snorkel along the resort's house reef. The reef was absolutely pristine and teeming with coral, fish and even the odd sea turtle swimming below. From any seaside villa, you can swim out to the reef that fringes the island, but the section near the dive center where a snorkel course is outlined is truly spectacular with the reef flowing over 20-30 meter drop off into the ocean where larger fish and rays can be spotted swimming below. In addition to plenty of snorkeling (including with manta rays!), we enjoyed a cooking class on Maldivian cuisine, a guided astronomy session at the resort's observatory (which is the largest in the Maldives), a dolphin watching tour and many, many great meals at the resort's restaurants. A highlight of our dining experience was Sea, the resort's underwater restaurant built into the reef. You can watch reef fish, sharks and turtles swim by as you enjoy world-class dining. Our dinner there was a special menu from a Michelin starred chef visiting from Singapore. This was our first experience at an all-inclusive resort of this kind and we cannot recommend Anantara Kihavah enough. Thanks so much to Sittu and all of the staff on the resort for making our stay so memorable!

Before I start, we are frequent travellers and I am pretty sure could be described as, a little fussy and not easily pleased, neither am I one for writing reviews, but having stayed at many high end resorts around the world I felt that I had to share this particular experience. This was our first trip to the Maldives and we spent a considerable amount of time looking at the many options available and struggled to decide which, but having stayed at another Anantara property before and having a good experience, opted to book Anantara Kihavah villas for this trip. We had expectations of really nice environment with luxury touches, but Anantara Kihavah surpassed all of these and then some. The resort and the staff team are exceptional and gave us an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we cleared immigration at Male Airport, our every need was not only met and exceeded, but was pre-empted and already taken care of. We were met at the arrivals hall by Anantara staff and escorted to our checkin for the seaplane which required no input from us and was all dealt with by our escort. From there we were taken by private car to the seaplane departure lounge, where we were offered refreshments (Tea, Coffee, juice, fruit, pastries etc) for our 20 min wait before departure. The seaplane was direct to the resort (around 40mins) and upon landing we were immediately greeted by our villa host Jambe, who had taken the initiative to plan an itinerary for our stay (I should point out that this was 100% flexible and changeable even at short notice). We were then greeted by the resorts general manager, and shown to our villa with a quick and useful tour of the island included. We stayed in one of the resorts over water villas, which benefits from breathtaking views across the Indian Ocean. I won't go on step by step through our vacation, but this level of pre-empting and exceeding expectation continued through out the entire holiday right to the point where we were escorted to the security check point again at Male airport after being checked in by Anantara staff for our return flight to the UK. Accommodation - Spacious, immaculately clean, views to die for. The outdoor swing is just heaven, as is the outdoor shower. Room was cleaned twice daily with the luxury linen changed every second day or daily if preferred. Luxurious robes are provided along with every amenity you could imagine. The pillow menu is extensive as it the soap and incense menu. Air conditioning was solid, as was the complimentary wi-fi. Privacy is exceptional, only exception being residents of other villas occasionally swimming close by when visiting the reef, but this is to be expected. The private pool was clean and perfect temp for cooling off after sunbathing in any one of the many places that the villa offers. The Bathroom was well appointed and the glass bottom bath, a bit of a novelty, but still a lovely touch. complimentary Nespresso coffee was topped up daily with fresh milk and a full mini bar available Food & Drink - The food offering was exceptional, from choice to presentation to taste. We had a half board package which included breakfast and We ate at all with the exception of the Japanese, only due to personal preference. The Italian (Manzuro) was our personal favourite, offering some of the best and believe it or not, most authentic Italian food we have ever had. Spice was also exceptional offering a range of asian and Maldivian dishes, again, all of which were great. The underwater restaurant Sea offered amazing views of the coral reef with so much marine life to watch, although the set menu was not to my preference, but the views and service more than made up for this. Breakfast is served in Plates from 7:30 till 11am offering great flexibility. The Al a carte menu offered a good range of dishes and this was complimented by an extensive buffet which changed daily. Freshly squeezed juices and really nice coffee is unlimited which was great. The wine list is great offering wines from around the world to suit all tastes and budgets. Cocktails are the real deal, and clearly curated by some pretty skilled mixologists. The sunset bar (Sky) offers a great setting for a romantic pre-dinner drink with views that would be hard to beat anywhere in the world. Over all, a great selection of venues with quality offerings. The island - Truly a tropical paradise. For divers / snorkelling enthusiasts the house reef is fabulous. We are not professional by any means, probably the opposite, but the reef and marine life is in abundance and is easily assessable for all skill levels, although can be a little choppy the further out you go, but life jackets are provided free of charge in your villa as is snorkelling equipment from the dive centre. The beaches are stunning and spotlessly clean as are the colours of the ocean. Activities - We done sunset reef fishing which was completely beginner level and would be great for kids, but really fun and also sunrise big game fishing, which was a great experience. I have done big game fishing in many places, not always with great success, but the abundance of fish was demonstrated by catching 3 Tuna and 1 Mahi Mahi, a decent breakfast was served along with real coffee with was a really nice touch. We done the private dining experience on Valentines day, which was just perfect in every way with the ability to personally create your menu. Stargazing from the observatory was wonderful, amazing views from the observatory and really interesting. We also done the Maldivian cooking class, which being keen cooks was great as you can tailor this to skill sl=level and what you want to learn, the chef Moin, was a pleasure to learn from and we then got to enjoy the Maldivian feat that we had prepared. But without a doubt our favourite activity was simply walking the beaches at the waters edge and chatting, which was just perfect every day. Spa - The resort offers a fabulous Spa experience, with knowledgable therapists and fabulous facilities. We had three treatments all of which were world class, but the views just elevate this Spa to another level, easily exceeding even the likes of Claridges etc. Don't miss out on an in villa treatment at sunset which can be out on the deck or in the room depending on preference, after which you can just lie on the swing and look at the stars. The staff - Without doubt, the jewels of the island. I could go on all day, but they are simply fabulous in every way, attentive, caring, perceptive, just fabulous. From the management to housekeeping nothing is too much trouble, they really do make your trip. I need to make a shout out to Jambe our host, Saad & Chelsea at Manzuro and Aboo at Plates, great people to whom nothing was a problem, we will miss your smiles. Negatives / things to consider - It may sound like a cliche, but there really are no negatives as such, but things to consider: Mosquitos are brutal, repellant is provided free of charge in the Villa, but not that effective. They do fog the island regularly, but to little effect. If you suffer from insect bites bring antihistamine and a good repellant. The Ocean is stunning and so is the coral, but being coral there are loads of broken pieces on the sand in the shallows, bring water shoes to avoid hurting yourself. They do sell shoes in the dive centre, but at massively inflated prices. On this point, this is not a cheap resort drinks are expensive as is food outside of any dining plan you may have. Activities and experiences are not cheap and if you are a smoker, bring cigarettes from duty free as buying cigarettes on the island will cost you and test even the most dedicated smoker (one packet of 20 Cigarettes = $60 USD) so don't get caught short. Summary - This truly was the holiday of a lifetime, if you are looking for luxury accommodation in the Maldives and this is up your street, then don't hesitate. We will absolutely be back!

It was an exceptional experience at Anantara Kihava Resort with out great host Siham who took good care of us during our stay. The resort offers hospitality to their guests, serve great food with different cuisines, and have a variety of activities on the island. I am really pleased during my stay, couldn’t wait for my next trip, and really recommend the resort for travelers. I stayed in the overwater villa which was great option with privacy but when having annoying neighbors around, they may end up swimming just right in front of your patio poking eyes into you, more the less having all sort of cameras in hand.

We have just enjoyed the most amazing 35th Wedding Anniversary at the Anantara Kihavah Villas in the Maldives. Our experience from start to finish was 5+ star, the most beautiful Island, staff, food, amenities and service were exceptional. We were met on arrival by Ting Ting our hostess, she was the best, nothing was too much trouble, she looked after us like royalty throughout our stay, we are extremely grateful to her. We have named this review “A sky full of stars” - Two reasons, we love the Coldplay song, and also the stunning SKY bar with starlit ceiling, run by the multi awards winning mixologist cocktail maker Steve, who made the best cocktails we have ever experienced in the Maldives. The Sky Bar is incredible, it has its own telescope, the sunset views are the best and the evening music was fantastic. Our room was a Sunset water villa with pool, an absolutely beautiful villa with a veranda straight into the sea. Our room attendant was Appi, a lovely Maldivian man who ensured that everything was perfection for us. He surprised us with various treats throughout our stay and had our bed decorated to celebrate our 35th anniversary, picture attached, so kind. The food throughout our stay was absolute perfection. We had the pleasure to chat to the talented Executive Chef Joachim and his assistant Alex, they have a large team of chefs who all provide exceptional food from around the world and the best food at a resort in the Maldives that we have ever experienced. The breakfasts are perfection, sat overlooking the blue sea with everything you want cooked to the highest standard, special thanks to the chefs who prepared our daily fruit platters and asked us to experience some beautiful local fruits. Also thanks to the chefs for the amazing Asian evening. A special mention to Aboo, a food and beverage assistant manager, whose knowledge and experience of this island help you experience everything that will make your stay extra special. We ate in Fire Teppanyaki, Spice, Manzaru and Plates theme night - we enjoyed all the food provided and just loved the chefs show at Fire. This beautiful island is a taste of paradise and the staff with their kindness, enthusiasm, customer service and happiness just makes you want to smile every day. This accompanied by the amazing water villas, beautiful food in fantastic restaurants, all with their own unique surroundings and the facilities this island has have given us memories to treasure forever. There are so many to mention and all are brilliant, so to Stuart the cluster Anantara Director, Paul the Director of sales, Husni the resort manager, our lovely Ting ting, Sky Bar (Steve, Amel, Champok), The restaurant team, Aboo, Baba, Sugar, Zain (good luck Zain in the barrister competition in Italy in April). There are over 100 resorts in the Maldives, the additional benefits and unique points about the Anantara go above and beyond other 5 star resorts we have stayed at. We enjoyed cycling around the island on our dedicated bicycles that are awaiting outside your villas on arrival. We also enjoyed walking around the island with its amazing views - paradise! Like every good book you finish wanting to come back for more. We await the next Chapter in 2026.

The island is so beautiful and well preserved, we were surounded by amazing animals thats natural to the place. If youre thinking about booking with anantara kihavah i would say go for it! My husband and I went to Anantara Kihava for 11 days to celebrate 25 years of being together. We already want to go back!! It's completely worth the long journey (from the U.S ) and the jet lag. Where do I even begin? Aside from the stunning beauty which we saw first, I need to start with our incredible Villa Host, Piyal. He was professional and polite, and was there for us whenever we needed him for anything. Very attentive. We would ask for him again if/ when we go back. We already miss him! We stayed in an over water villa, which was spacious on the inside as well as the exterior living space, with a beautiful plunge pool. Bikes are provided to go from your villa to anywhere on the island, or you could call your host who will come get you on a golf cart. The resort has 5 restaurants and plenty of activities. The most unique dining experience was at SEA, their under water restaurant. The dinner & lunch there were beyond description. All the food at this resort was excellent. We were happy to meet the F&B Manager, Mark, and the Executive Chef, Joachim and the GM, Stuart- all of whom made us feel welcome. They have a natural reef there, and it was the best snorkeling we have ever done. We highly recommend this resort!

We stayed 9 days at this resort, our first time in the Maldives. We arrived with no expectations except knowing that it was an overwater villa, had a tennis court, observatory and underwater restaurant. Food: Breakfast was buffet style at Plates. We were half-board and had plenty of choices that were inclusive at Spice and Manzaru. Other places had a credit towards the bill. There were special theme nights at Plates as well, and we partook in the asian themed buffets and the local spiny lobster dinner. One of the highlights was the underwater Sea restaurant which we had booked a special birthday lunch. The food with caviar was amazing, but we were blown away by the views of the reef and fish everywhere. I had thought the photos online were composites, but there really were that much fish! Accomodations: We stayed in an overwater villa. We had partially obstructed views of the sunset and sunrise because we were in the middle of the half-"arm", but we had a ton of privacy because we looked out on empty ocean. The other side of the "arm" faces the arrival dock and seaplane platform, as well as the restaurant and main pool. The bed was very comfortable and there was a good selection of special pillows. The main bedroom was well airconditioned, but the washroom was hot and stuffy because the AC does not reach there. The outside space was great, the pool was very large and offered great views of the ocean. Facilities: We didn't use the gym or spa, but we played tennis every day. Going in the early morning or evening was tolerable, but still very humid. You can also play late at night, since it's 24/7. We got to know the Lux Tennis pro Marina quite well over our stay, and we even played a few doubles matches wiht her and the cluster GM Stuart. We did the private observatory experience, and it was a very special night to see some planets and even a nebula. The main pool was quite large and they had many shaded chaises on the beach. They would bring cold water, sunscreen and Evian body mist complementary when you lounge there. Service: This is where we felt was truly exceptional. From our arrival at Male airport, we were whisked to the seaplane terminal and lounge and never had to touch our checked luggage again until it was in our suite. Our personal villa host Jambe was very helpful, booking us restaurant reservations before we even arrived. He was always reachable by Whatsapp. Some places the butlers can be either absent or overly intrusive, but not the case at Anantarah. He would drop by to see how we were doing in the mornings at breakfast, and our room cleanings were timed to when we would be out and never disturbed when we were still inside. It was my wife's 40th birthday and they arranged a special balloon and special message arrangement in our villa upon our return from dinner. He is a very talented carpenter as well, and made us a truly unique and special gift to remember our trip by before we left. Reef and beach: This is one of the few natural atolls, and the sand remains cool under your feet even at full sun. The huge natural house reef was a real highlight and very easy to access. I could not comprehend how much fish we were seeing and swimming through. We've been to many other beaches in Hawaii and have never seen so many fish. We routinely saw stingrays, a turtle and lots of other fish swimming under our villa to the lagoon. If it wasn't so far to travel to from Canada we would be returning again soon! It was a very special "bucket list" trip that we will be remembering for years to come. We hope to visit again soon, or at least check out the other Anantarah resorts.

Anantara Kihavah was a really wonderful place. We had the best honeymoon ever. All the staff were kind and polite. Our butler Piyal was very helpful. He had beautiful eyes and a kind heart. He made every day comfortable. Thank you.
