It’s been a real delight discovering Anantara Iko situated in the south east of Mauritius. I had a session of Aqua Gym with Anais and she was amazing plus so dedicated to her guests. I highly recommend this little gem when you visit the beautiful island of Mauritius.

We had an extraordinary time at Anantara Iko!
We chose the hotel because of the close distance to the airport and the stunning beach that comes with it. And we were not disappointed.
Especially the beach is absolutely gorgeous, you can snorkel there and see many fish. It‘s just so beautiful and secluded, we adored it!
But not only was the location really nice, the food and especially the stuff were outstanding!
We went back and forth between dining at the hotel buffet, which was very very good, and the sea-fire-salt restaurant.
Now, let me tell you, everyone at Anantara was the absolute kindest! But we want to say our special thanks to some people.
Rakesh from sea fire salt was the one who made our holiday very special. He prepared a special dinner for my boyfriend and me. It was so a kind gesture and we absolutely loved the menu he created for us on that evening. So thank you very much Rakesh, you made our holiday truly special!
A big thank you as well to Kelvin, the young waiter at Sea fire salt. You did an amazing job and I‘m sure you‘re gonna go far!
Sarfan from the buffet Restaurant also made our evenings even better whenever he asked us about our day and talked to us! Such a kind soul.
Last but not least, we want to thank Shivi from the reception, who made sure that every second of our stay at anantar iko was perfect!
We had minor issues with the AC in our room, but they handled that very well. So we really can‘t complain about a single thing. We‘re gonna be back for sure!

We stayed at Anantara Iko to celebrate our babymoon and anniversary together. The whole experience was serene and tropical and everything we wanted for my babymoon experience. The team is so dedicated to provide a personalised service for the stay. They provided us with the cutest babymoon themed cookies in the room which was such a beautiful touch. During our stay we had so many encounters with the guest relations team Jeeveeta, Nicholas and Melissa that were always attentive and striving to improve and make your stay better. We arrived quite early so our room wasn't ready and they offered us breakfast as a courtesy because I am pregnant and that was just such a kind gesture from their part.
We also had the opportunity to try many activities from the schedule of activities within the resort. We tried the Rum tasting which was hosted by Kevin the bartender at Sea.Fire.Salt. Not only was he very knowledgeable and interesting but he was also so kind enough to offer a mocktail for me who was just spectating. He also went above and beyond by letting them taste some interesting rum infusions that they were working on. We also went for the local fruit salad demonstration hosted by Sanjaye who made some amazing local fruit salad and went above and beyond by giving us some local fruit that we enjoyed from the salad the next day. We also went for the local snack demonstration which was hosted by Ekraj and we got to go inside the kitchen and make the snacks altogether and taste them. Finally, we went for a sunset walk with Gayle and it was a perfect end to out trip going to see some areas around the resort with beautiful beaches. I can't even tell you how amazing it is that you get all these activities within the resort and they are well thought out and fun.
The facilities were good. There were two pools and both had bars and food options. The beach was so beautiful and the surrounding areas were very natural.
The restaurants were good but there was room for improvement. The lunch asian option was just okay. We ordered the beef satay and pad thai but the beef was just soooo tough. Dinner at Sea.Fire.Salt. could be improved as well, just overall flavour and elegance. The breakfast buffet had many options and I especially liked having eggs benedict at the eggs station and some ethnic options like congee and indian breakfasts. However, I wasn't able to eat the cheeses or cold cuts because they looked so warm and sweaty. The service at breakfast could also be improved, we waited very long for our coffee and drinks orders and sometimes had to ask more than once for them. The best restaurant was Zafran, if you go there order the Lamb Seekh Kebab and the chicken tikka masala. It might sound basic but it was just sooo good that it doesn't matter. Our waiter Venita at Zafran was also the best, she was so thoughtful and friendly. She was quick to suggest the best options and just made us feel so warm and welcomed. It was always nice to see the executive chef going around and interacting with guests. This is such an important part of the experience.
We stayed at another resort in Mauritius and really missed Anantara.
Overall, this resort offers value for money, personalised service, amazing activities and bonus is that its close to the airport so no need for one hour drive when you arrive. I'd definitely come back to Anantara Iko when I come back to Mauritius. Thank you to the entire team for making it a very special babymoon.

Mainly, the Indian food there is so amazing, you will food same as the India with all spices and everything, all this because of their Indian chef Mr. Pradeep Singh, he is a wonderful man by his work as well as by heart. His food didn’t made us miss our authentic home food, especially his Masala Chai, it was wooonnnderrr-fuuuullll. I have never eaten so delicious Dum Aloo than the one made by him.
If you are an Indian, I highly recommend to stay in Anantara Iko Mauritius, and have food by their best Chef Pradeep Singh.

Excellent service; bedroom very clean and comfortable - top quality pillows, bedlinen and towels. Our garden room provided lush landscape (beautifully maintained) and leafy privacy for our terrace. Staff couldn't have been more polite and charming. They went above and beyond. Particularly Sanjaye who bent over backwards to look after us on the beach with a constant smile, and Vignish who treated us like royalty arranging a romantic, gourmet dinner in Sea Fire Salt demonstrating his extensive knowledge of wine both French and Mauritian. Guest relations manager Shivi (and her deputy Nicholas) were constantly on hand to give guidance. Little touches such as arranging a surprise birthday cake on our first night is one of very many great memories.

On second day i ask for housekeeping when I was leave for south tour when I came back around 6pm i confirmed at reception wheather it's housekeeping is done or not they said it's already done but when I entered the room I saw the room was in the same situation I left in the mrg I have also clicked some photos. At the time of check in i saw bodywash was not available in the room I asked at hotel service for the 2 times & 2 times at reception for the same but still no one rected on that. Then they refilled on second day evening at the time of house keeping.
On fourth day i ordered some dish in main course but the meal which I ordered was not prepared then they changed for 3 times still they were not getting connected what I have ordered. Thanks to chef pradeep he personally came on the table and got what I was welling for on the fifth day i had the best meal served by chef Pradeep I'm very Greatful for Him.

Rooms are very nice - housekeeping good but have an eye on the final invoice of the minibar.
Overall a beautiful place to come back - we enjoyed! Above points are hints, Hotel is doing a great job - thanks to all!

We had a lovely stupa in this beautiful resort. The rooms are spacious with a large bathroom and have everything you require. Had we not stayed in the Westin last year we would have thought it really good but the food , we had half board, certainly did bony measure up and the staff although lovely lacked the training evident in the Westin. I asked for a glass of ice, for instance, and the barman picked up a dirty glass and ran it under the tap. I enjoyed my stay but there are better options on the island.
