The Atrium Resort

I would recommend the Atrium to anyone wanting spend a little less because it is not on the beach. We chose it for its peace and quiet and wonderful huge pool. No restaurant. No bar. Pool.- The deepest area is 5ft. The second area is 4ft with a very shallow area for kiddies to play. The pool and loungers never busy. The beach is an 8-10 minute walk away. The Atrium is within a gated community and is very secure. Our 1 bedroom king bed condo had 1 1/2 bathrooms. The rooms were large. Our unit, A2-2 was clean and had excellent lighting. A few colourful pillows and larger wall pictures would have made it much more inviting, but it seems to depend on the unit owner. Very comfortable beds with wood surround and low height may be awkward for some people. Be aware that the loungers the resort provides on the beach are very hard, no cushions. We found sitting on the sand more comfortable! Some construction work at beach, but it might be ending soon. We did have a problem with someone smoking Cannabis (which is illegal here) near our balcony- the strong smell kept us from enjoying our balcony at times and though reported, not enough was done to stop the problem, and there was no feedback to us, despite asking the manager several times. However, when we reported a small problem with our shower, it was tended to immediately. Need rental car for groceries and restaurant meals. (Bring your own sugar. None provided.) Lovely and quiet, especially at night. Beware a few rooms have no view at all. Ask! No phone in room. Front desk will make restaurant reservations for you. Nicely lit up at night. Would be happy to visit again.
