Dreams Vallarta Bay Resorts & Spa

Our stay was AMAZING!!! The room, the SERVICE (butler Carlos was exceptional) , the restaurants (Ian and staff), and everything else. All very wonderful. We had a 20th anniversary vow renewal celebration and Livier Cortes was a great wedding coordinator! I really can’t say enough about this place or its staff. It was more than I could have dreamed it would be. Beautiful resort. Our photos look like the horizon and sunset were fake it was SO gorgeous!!!!

What a wonderful stay and experience. The staff was absolutely top notch, very friendly and attentative to all our needs. We had a wedding there and the resort did a phenomenal job helping manage all of the guests and making it as stress-free of a wedding as you could hope for. Livier Cortes was our wedding planner, and she and her team went above and beyond anything we could've hoped for! She was in constant communication throughout the process, months before we were set to arrive. And when there, she was proactive in making sure all of our wants and needs were realized. I cannot recommend Livier Cortes enough, she was incredible! The resort, of course, was beautiful as well, and we even saw a turtle lay and bury it's eggs on the beach!

We visited PVR in February 2025 to look for a wedding venue for our 20th vow renewal. We fell in love with the resort. I wanted to give a huge shout out to Paloma (Wedding Group Sales Manager) and Karla (Weeding Coordinator). They helped us plan our dream wedding in December 2025. From beginning to end they were very communicative and easy to work with. I was such a last-minute planner but having them assist me through the wedding planning process; the end result was better than I've imagined. Karla was so patient and provided me all the information I needed. She went above and beyond for me and my guests. Dreams Vallarta Bay staff was so welcoming and provided us great hospitality. They definitely made our trip and wedding day a memorable one.

My wife and 12 year old daughter and I absolutely loved our stay at Dreams Vallarta Bay! We upgraded to a swim-out suite and it was so well worth it - we had a tranquil and tropical oasis to swim and soak right from our balcony, which was convenient as well. The resort is beautifully well-maintained, and we noticed workers constantly cleaning and improving the premises. Early every morning workers would clean the pools, and in the afternoon someone else would check the pools' pH levels, and this type of consistent maintenance and focus on cleanliness was evident throughout the property. The food was quite good, and we particularly liked the Carnival buffet and Tamarindo Mexican restaurant. Most of all our stay was an A-plus due to the incredible service! Employees were uniformly helpful, enthusiastic and resourceful, and we felt so very welcomed and comfortable at Dreams Vallarta Bay! Shout out to Leonardo for checking us in and making sure that we were happy with our swim-out suite (we of course were!) and to Joel for his enthusiasm at the pool exercise class and basketball games. And the restaurant staff was superb. The only negative is that I really disliked that we had to sit through a 25-minute timeshare pitch for Hyatt Unlimited Vacation Club as part of the check-in process. I had read other reviews noting this unappealing process, and when the front desk staff passed us off to a vacation club rep I blurted out "we want to waive the timeshare pitch!" Yet we still had to sit there, jet lagged and desperate to get into our room, listening to a timeshare presentation masquerading as part of the check-in process. Please Hyatt get the timeshare people out of your otherwise amazing hotel! Notwithstanding my disdain for the timeshare pitch, I very, very highly recommend Dreams Vallarta Bay and we had an absolutely wonderful stay!

We recently returned from a fantastic family trip to Dreams Vallarta Bay. It was beautiful and so convenient to not worry about any meals - it made for a truly relaxing experience. Arrival & First Impressions The entrance is stunning—located on the third floor up a ramp past a beautiful waterfall wall. The staff greeted us immediately, handled our bags, and provided a welcome drink. The open-air lobby offers a breathtaking view of the pools and the ocean. Everyone at the front desk was excellent, and English was spoken fluently throughout the resort. The Rooms: We stayed in connecting Junior Ocean View Suites. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The View: Absolutely beautiful. I loved that the balcony railing was glass, so we had an unobstructed view of the ocean right from our beds. Amenities: The bathroom featured a jetted tub and a shower with great water pressure and heat. Noise: We were close to the elevators and could hear the evening shows, but it wasn't bothersome or loud enough to disrupt our rest. Service: Housekeeping was very responsive when we requested extra items. Pools & Beach The pool area was the highlight for my kids. Toddler/Kids Pools: One pool is quite shallow and was perfect for my toddlers. It was very warm (almost too warm by the afternoon, even in February!). The adjoining pool with the waterslide was also a hit. Note: The slide is concrete; it’s smooth, but a little "bumpy" compared to plastic, though the kids didn't mind. There was an appropriately watchful lifeguard on duty. Main Pools: We loved the all-ages pool near the cabanas and noticed a separate pool with a swim-up bar. Cabanas: We rented a mini-cabana for $200, which was an excellent value for a family of five. It gave us a dedicated home base in the shade. Shout out to Junior, our attendant, who was fantastic and kept us stocked with drinks! The Beach: Just a few steps from the pool. The sand was nice, the water was clean, and the waves were fun for the kids without being too strong. The water was warm enough in February for play, but we didn't totally submerge or try to swim. There are convenient showers to rinse off the sand before heading back to the pool. Dining & Food The food was solid overall—I'd describe it as "good, not excellent," but the convenience of not needing reservations was a huge benefit and made me a little more forgiving. The Buffet: Our go-to for breakfast and lunch. The made-to-order omelets and the traditional stews were highlights. The baked desserts were hit-or-miss, but easy to skip. Restaurants: We enjoyed Castaways (seafood/grill). We tried to get a Teppanyaki table by lining up 20 minutes early, but still couldn't snag a spot! Poolside: Solid options like burgers, pizza, fries, and ice cream. Entertainment & Kids Club I highly recommend downloading the Hyatt Inclusive Collection app before you arrive. You can see the full activity schedule for the resort and the Kids Club without even having an active reservation, so this can help when you're deciding on a resort. Kids Club: They take children ages 3 and up. While we didn't do a full drop-off, we went during "Family Hour" (where parents stay). It felt very secure with a locking door system. They enjoyed the playground, some coloring, snacks, and TV. Evening Shows: We saw the Beatles tribute and the traditional Mexican show. Both were high-quality with great music and acrobatics. They start at 9:00 PM; this would have been late for our kids, but worked for our home time zone. Final Verdict The staff truly makes this place. From the servers who remembered us daily to our buffet waiter who drew chocolate art on a plate for the kids on our last morning—the service is a 5/5. If you want a stress-free family getaway with beautiful views and excellent service, I would highly recommend Dreams Vallarta Bay.

Our trip to Dreams Vallarta Bay was dreamy and perfect for our dear friends' wedding getaway. The hotel staff was friendly and extremely accommodating. The hotel needs some updates; our room had some chips in the paint, and a few minor things to be replaced. But all in all, we loved our view of the Ocean, and spent little time in our room to even think twice about these minor inconveniences. The resort's all-inclusive aspect was fabulous. The food was divine. The pools and swim-up bars were awesome to enjoy during our days relaxing. Highly recommend as a place to stay as a couple, or as a family!

We had a fantastic week at Dreams Vallarta Bay! It was just my husband and I on this trip, and this was our favorite Mexico vacation yet! The location was fantastic, we loved everything about the resort but it was also wonderful to be able to go to the Malecon and "Romantic Zone" so easily! The resort was super clean, the view from the balcony was top notch and several times we saw whales just swimming by along the shore, which was very cool! It was not noisy at this resort at all, especially considering it is a family friendly resort...we slept great and never had any issues with noise around us at all, which was wonderful as I tend to be a light sleeper. The service was absolutely 5 star....we were blown away by the level of service by Francesco in the Italian restaurant(went there multiple times once we met him)! Carlos, who worked as a server by the Dreams pool stood out as well- great drink service , AND after my husband's deep sea fishing trip (caught tuna), he helped us by calling a restaurant to arrange for them to cook the fish that had been caught for our dinner, so we wouldn't have to deal with a language barrier. We also really appreciated the coffee shop - cappuccino was a very key part of our mornings every day! The entertainment team was fun and on top of a lot of activities - Joel and Jimmy stood out in particular, keeping everyone entertained with fun events by the pool as well as in the beautiful lobby area at night. We enjoyed yoga on floats in the pool, used the gym, walked on the beach, just really enjoyed every aspect of our trip! Highly recommend you book a vacation here!

We went to Dreams for the President's holiday week. The food was better than any all-inclusive I have been to. The service was great! The only complaint I have is that the elevator was not working great and there was a lot of time waiting. We stayed on the 9th floor, otherwise we would have taken the stairs every time. Overall, we had a great time and we will be back.

We came here for our small intimate wedding with our immediate family and I’m happy to say our experience with our wedding was amazing! Our wedding coordinator Livier Cortes was very helpful and really nice! She made our experience less stressful and even added some extra touch for us for the little details during our reception. I highly recommend using their wedding package if you’re looking into doing a wedding here at this resort.

Overall we had a great vacation at Dreams! The hotel and rooms were very clean and the staff were great! Specifically Oliver at the Carnival Buffet for breakfast and Omar & Mario by the pool. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and made our stay that much better. Oliver even created a Happy Birthday plate for our son and made his whole day! The only downside was the food at the buffet for dinner. There was a theme each night and not much variety beyond that. There were 2 nights where it was just outside and a few salads to choose from and then BBQ chicken or beef. A little disappointed there wasn't more variety and options for dinner. Breakfast at the buffet is awesome with great food and great variety, just wish it would have been the same for dinner. Overall it was a great vacation and we would come back again!

For our first time in Mexico this resort was a blast and suitable for all ages! Was so satisfying that it makes us want to move to mexico from Canada! Food, drinks, and entertainment was like anything we've experienced as a family and we hope to come back one day to this exceptional resort! Not a single thing went wrong and the staff was easy to communicate with. Absolutely 100% satisfying and couldn't be happier with the memories we build as a family in beautiful mexico!

We had some issues at check-in as the initial room (loud HVAC unit next to the door) so assigned a new room. That room was much better location with no noise, but had not been restocked for new guest with amenities. We had to call to get that taken care of. Room was 1561 with beautiful ocean view as all rooms are at this resort. It cleaned routinely and towels promptly exchanged. After our initial issues with the mini-bar and coffee center, we were stocked daily and extra water was left which we appreciated very much. Overall, the food at every restaurant was very good! We enjoyed every meal and the service staff was excellent! Our first and last meals were at Castaways with Jasmin and Eduardo serving us – all of the ceviche was fantastic and so was the whole fried fish. The Mexican restaurant was delicious, Roberto took good care of us and having table side guacamole made by Israel was a superb addition. Tamarind was fun sitting in the sunken table and we met the fabulous Sandra! She was so much fun and we had the pleasure of seeing her again at the buffet and while she serviced as private event…she is fantastic. The buffet was good (excellent green juice), but the staff was wonderful. Special thanks to Andres for providing my husband a shirt (cover his sleeveless shirt) one morning and the pleasant greeter Glendenith. Dreams Preferred Bar is not that spectacular as its in an odd setting almost like an after thought but the bartender was great and made good drinks! Beach is where we spent our time and not the pools. Alfonso was the best server – he was constantly checking on us and never missed a beat. Bring water shoes as the beach is rocky and has strong currents at times. The only negative about the beach is the constant vendors coming up, but that is not the resort's doing! As for the evening entertainment most shows were held in the lobby, were enjoyable and one evening included an awesome Mariachi band. We enjoy the pre-history Mayan cultural dance show held in the amphitheater. This resort is close to the airport (a bonus) and easy walk to shops around the area. We took an Uber downtown to Malicon (seaside promenade) and spent a day in PV - it is worth going to visit.

My husband and I booked our Wedding and stay at Dreams Vallarta Bay, and had the most incredible experience! From the very start, I knew the Dreams Vallarta Bay was the PERFECT location for us. It was beautiful, looked fun, and had an amazing Weddng Venue and package. When planning our wedding, Livier Cortes, our wedding planner, made the experience so special and so customized to US and what WE loved. She was so warm, friendly, and informative. There was absolutely zero stress in planning this wedding thanks to Livier, and the Dreams Vallarta Bay team! From Livier, to our videographer, Alfredo, my make-up and hair stylist in the Secrets Spa, Monica, the DJ, to all the staff and bartenders....it was a true dream that came together! So grateful for everyone who helped make our wedding so special and so memorable! If you are looking for an amazing wedding location, or even an unforgettable vacation, you HAVE to choose Dreams/Secrets Vallarta Bay!

We had a great experience at Dreams Vallarta Bay. The food was better than anticipated, the drinks were great, and the evening entertainment was enjoyable. We’ve stayed at other Dreams resorts before, such as Dreams Sands in Cancun, and this experience was by far better than that one. The ocean can be a bit aggressive at times due to the tides, but it was still swimmable. Bring water shoes if you’re sensitive to rocky areas near the shore. Overall, for what we paid, it was a great experience. I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable place to stay with good vibes.

Dreams Puerto Vallarta provides a relaxed and pampered experience. The hotel never feels over crowded. The all inclusive food and drinks are diverse, plentiful, and of high caliber. The hotel is in good repair, clean, and well ventilated. Our room on the 10th floor proved to be spacious, our bed comfortable, and the view spectacular. Overall a great experience within a moderate budget.

We stayed at Dreams Vallarta Bay in January 2026. I cannot express enough how amazing this trip was. When booking the trip with friends, the Secrets side was fully booked, and we were very worried because we wanted to have the same access as they did. When we arrived, we asked about an upgrade, and the gentleman at the front desk let us know we could upgrade to the Preferred Penthouse and have VIP access. This would give us full access to the Secrets side, along with a steakhouse on the 2nd floor of Oceana. We were worried, but accepted and are SO glad we did. With the Penthouse, we had our own concierge and access to snacks, alcohol, and more! Shout out to Yareli, who went above and beyond for my husband and I. This trip was beyond amazing; we couldn't have asked for better food, service, and sunsets. This was our first time to PV, and when we go back, it will be at Dreams Vallarta Bay!!
