Dreams Vallarta Bay Resorts & Spa

Everything was great! We stayed a week from Sunday to Sunday. The food in particular was awesome. We did not have one bad meal there. My favorite night was the Asado night at the buffet. Capers wash wife’s favorite, and the kids loved the all you can eat ice cream of course. The food was excellent! The service here was amazing as well. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating in every part of the hotel. From the restaurants, to the front desk, to the entertainment team, and the Explorer’s club. Our kids loved the club! A few days they spent the whole day there, even wanting to eat lunch with them and dinner. We would eat dinner at the buffet as well, and they still wanted to sit with the kids club. The teachers there were excellent! Aydee, Jessica, Alejandra, and Naomi. There were all so good with our kids. The resort is very pretty as well! Everything was very clean! The entertainment they had each night was great too! The location of the resort is prime too! 10 minute drive from the Airport, and about a 5 minute drive from the boardwalk. Please visit here! The staff and food are amazing! It is great for couples on the Secrets side, and families on the Dreams side. I wouldn’t even mind staying at the Dreams side if it were just my wife and either. The noise level was perfect even with kids running around. Puerto Vallarta is beautiful city, and Dreams was wonderful. We can’t to return next year!

We traveled here for my brother and new sister-in-law's wedding, and what an incredible time we had! The weather was absolutely perfect—except for the good luck rain on the wedding night! Alejandro made sure our drinks were always full, and the rest of the staff was amazing as well—Claudio, Alphonso, Aurelio, Jose, Noah, Angel, Adriana (and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone). Every one of them helped make our week unforgettable. A special shout-out to Carlos—what an incredible guy! Whether he was leading water aerobics, teaching daily Spanish lessons, or hosting karaoke, he made every day even more enjoyable. He also had an amazing sense of humor. One day I told him, "¡Yo seré tu suegro!" (He even taught me how to say it in Spanish!) I think one of my daughters may have had a little crush on him. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 Our family and friends felt so welcomed, and thanks to the amazing staff, we truly had the time of our lives. Thank you all for making my brother and sister-in-law's wedding week so memorable. We can't wait to come back!

My stay at Dreams Vallarta Bay was amazing! The room was clean, comfortable, and everything worked perfectly. The balcony was beautiful, room service was excellent, and all of the restaurants and buffet were outstanding. The staff was incredibly courteous, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. My daughter had her wedding at the resort, and it was an unforgettable experience for our entire family. We rented cabanas and a private two-story beach area with its own bar, bartender, and attendant, and the service was exceptional. From the wedding events to the daily activities, everything exceeded our expectations. We made memories that will last a lifetime and would gladly return. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had the best time at Dreams Vallarta Bay! We were there for a wedding and the entire team that supported us was amazing, and the view was stunning with the sunsetting over the ocean! Aside from that, the entertainment team was AMAZING, especially David! I am the type of person that isn’t afraid to have a good time and they really made sure we had activities and we never stopped having fun!!! Special extra shoutouts to Esteban, Noé, and the guest Zumba instructor Denise! All and all I would suggest this trip to everyone! We made so many new friends while dancing and having cocktails at the swim up bar, can’t wait to come back! Thanks to all!

Overall, our 7 day vacation at Dreams was really everything we were looking for: all-inclusive, 4 star quality & price, and close to the city center/romantic zone to get some variety. My husband and I did a TON of research on the resort, what to expect, and things we should keep in mind -- I'll admit, this was incredibly helpful to ensure we went in with eyes wide open. After reflecting on our time at Dreams/Secrets, we have some reactions and tips for anyone considering this property! Pros: - Food is good! Wide variety, sensitive to allergies, and decent quality. That said, it's an all inclusive. We think of it as 'cruise food' if you've ever done a cruise. It's solid, but it won't be anything you gush over. - The property itself is gorgeous. The lobby really is stunning, the rooms are large and luxurious, and the pool areas are perfect. The property is clearly maintained very well (people were scrubbing/fixing different parts nearly every day), and it made it feel well cared for. - Location is perfect for getting off-site and exploring the city. We were here for pride week, so it was nice to do some fun things in PV. Ubers and taxis can come right up to the resort for ease of travel. - We stayed in a preferred suite / the preferred tower, and the butlers/concierge were WILDLY amazing and added so much to our trip. Shout out to Cristian who really made us feel so welcome, checked in with us every time he saw us, and always had a beaming smile and genuinely enthusiastic attitude. He alone made it worth upgrading the room! Cons (admittedly subjective, tried to focus on broader comments): - The staff in general was good, but there was an underlying sense that no one was really all that happy in general. There seemed to be a clear hierarchy amongst them, and we witnessed several managers assert dominance over some other staff. We were by the pool when the manager of the French restaurant came up (we had no idea who he was) and he was offended we asked him for a drink. Just threw off the vibe at times. - The reviews are correct that they WILL try to sell you on going to an info session for the Hyatt Unlimited Club, or their version of a timeshare. We had been traveling for 13 hours when we checked in and the saleswoman, while professional, was incredibly pushy. We were smiling and nodding along, but not committing to anything. We had to confirm with her the next day that we were not interested and try to shut it down firmly. It helped that we went into the experience knowing this would happen, so it's good to be aware so you can firmly say no (no matter what they try offer you: free massages, free romantic dinner on the beach, etc.). Who wants to try and fend off sales people on vacation?? - The beach. It's there, and the sand is nice enough, but you are immediately bombarded with random vendors trying to sell you stuff (hats, blankets, sunglasses, etc.). And, the beach declines VERY steeply to the water, making it look really unsafe to be swimming in the water at all. We were a bit disappointed since we were excited to enjoy the beach, but it was generally a bit of a letdown. There are much better parts of PV if the beach is critical to your vacation experience. - Mini Bar in the room was... fine? A couple beers, sodas and waters. I've been to other Mexican all inclusives and had way more. TIPS / Expectation Setting: - BOOK THE DREAMS SIDE OF THE RESORT! For us, it was way cheaper (by like, thousands) and then you can pay a daily fee to get access to the entire Secrets side. It was $50 a day for both of us ($50 total), so we paid MUCH less than we would have for the exact same rooms on the other side. This is a hack that I was skeptical/unsure about when we went, but it worked out perfectly. - If you are looking for a swim-out room, I might not book the preferred tower / preferred room. We noticed that the regular swim-out rooms were super private and blocked with plants from the general public, but the preferred rooms were wide open so anyone could see into your pool area/room. That was counter-intuitive to us, so something to consider. - Check out spa options at nearby resorts! This resort had some of the most expensive spa options, but right down the road we found much better deals at a different resort. It's worth doing some research. I'm sure it's great here, but we love a good deal. - There are weddings. Every. Day. Sometimes more than one. So be aware that there will be some interesting gatherings that you can look at from your room. It can be a bit much after 7 days. - If you actually like wine, the all-inclusive wine here is not great. (I know, wine snob here). There is a grocery store within a 3 minute walk, so you can buy some very cheap, but tasty, bottles of wine to have in your room. They weirdly won't bring you / give you a full bottle anyway, so it was nice to have some good wine in our fridge. - Plan to get off the property! PV was so beautiful and we had some of the most incredible meals when we went out for dinner. Very easy (and cheap) to Uber or taxi. - Probably sad I have to say, but bring lots of pesos in small bills (20's and 50's). I know tipping culture is a hot topic, but this is an all inclusive and it's very much appreciated. Just give them the equivalent of a dollar for their service. Overall, would recommend. It was solid, especially if you can get a good price (we paid ~$350 a night for a preferred room in May). Hopefully this helps!

This is our third trip to this beautiful resort. We continue to come for the great customer service from a well-seasoned staff experience. Cesar is five diamonds with his morning and lunchtime greetings at the Carnival Buffet along with Oscar and Alexani. Always smiling, engaging with the guests and making us feel special at the resort. Alejandro recognized my husband as soon as he walked into the breakfast area with a big welcome back hug. Franciso from Capers welcomed us home with his beautiful smile and generous hugs. He is the best public relations for this resort. Always with a smile, he delivers great customer service and showmanship with his presentation of the food. In Secrets French restaurant, Eloyon (hope I spelled his name correctly) was the perfect host for our special dinner. The rooms were clean and comfortable throughout our stay. We did miss the changes from previous years such as having the option of the BBQ by the pool area everyday along with classes offering how to make guacamole along with specialty drinks and other food items. The pool service was efficient with Diego, Manuel serving us throughout our stay. The pool songs were repetitious each day with the except of the last 3 of our 10 day stay. The last few years the pool personnel engaged most of us at the pool for exercise, dancing and games which this year I found less was offered. We realize that cost need to be cut but not offering Corona, and Modella beers to the guests is not Mexico! We come for the food classes, pool atmosphere, bbq lunches as an alternative to inside dining and most of all the staff. The food that is offered at this resort is very good compared to other all inclusive resorts. The chefs deserve an applause. No complaints at all. Lastly Mario who we have known since our arrival three years ago was the perfect bell captain. We remember when he was assisting at the front desk. Hyatt, you need to bring back the favorites for your guests to make their Mexican vacation complete!

Family trip for a week of great weather and a good resort. Food was good at the resort with lots of options. Rooms were a bit on the nosier side due to adjoining room options. Arrival was fantastic (cold towels and a cold drink) Check in process was slow and then we couldn’t get into our room until exactly 3:00. With a young child who needed a nap this was a bit challenging but we managed The views were amazing and the staff outstanding. My only complaint was the fact that you had to sit through their plot to get you to go to the timeshare sales pitch. On a vacation that is the last thing I want pushed down my throat and they were fairly aggressive with it. After that it was a great time

We had a wonderful stay at Dreams. It was actually MUCH better than we were expecting considering the price, about half of what we pay in San Jose del Cabo for a comparable resort. The atmosphere was very welcoming and accommodating in all ways. From the welcome guava margaritas to the carrying and delivery of our bags. Check in was easy, except for the part where they waste 20 minutes trying to sell you on attending the Hyatt Club presentation. The aggressive sales approach is prominent in the main lobby, even the bell boys will get after you, so we avoided the as much as possible. At one point the lady the was trying to sell us the Hyatt Club at check in, came running after us down the driveway, as we were on a walk to the store. You just need to keep telling them no or you will really need that the massage after the hours long sales pitch! For some people its worth it, but for us, we'd rather pay for our massage. The rooms were spacious and clean. We had an ocean view preferred club suite which was nice, but the restaurants are in the main building and require you to travel to the ground floor of the preferred club, then up to the main lobby on the 3rd floor, move to a different elevator and then go back down to the 1st floor. It could get confusing, but once you figured it out it was fine. The noise level at the pool was a little much mid day, but if you go early, it's not as bad. There is long sun on the property and the pools don't close until 8pm so there is plenty of time to enjoy the pools. The Dreams side does have a lot of families, but that was fine for us, they were mostly babies and young children in the bar pool, not a lot of screaming kids. There is a water slide and kids pool separate from the bar pool, so there are plenty of places for kids to play. We originally were wanting to be able to swim in the ocean (like we do in Cabo at the Hilton and the Paradisus), and we were able to wade in, but the instability of the bottom, occasional gross water and debris, as well as the strength of the waves combined with the drop off of the main beach, the pool seemed more appealing. It didn't diminish our experience and there are plenty of lounge chairs by the pool as well as on the beach. Though the vendors on the beach can be seemingly aggressive, they tend to respect a courteous "no, gracias." and were very nice people. We found the location of the resort to be nice and central, close to the airport and stores. We walked to the Soriana Hiper, a convenient grocery store in about 10 minutes. They carry a wide variety of food and souvenir items as well as sunblock and pool floaties. It's always an adventure to visit the local grocery store no matter where we are in the world. There was sufficient variety of food available night and day. the Preferred Club had food available for breakfast and into the early evening. It was nice, but snack level buffet type food, though they did have tocino available everyday! Room service was good and prompt, as well as available 24 hours. The restaurants were all good, though as anywhere the buffet can be a little stale, but there were always people available to make quesadillas or omelets as well as smoothies to order. The ice cream available in Coco cafe was good, but I was often so full that I could barely eat it. I did also enjoy the availability of Passion Fruit for my drinks! Bar tenders were always happy to add it to any drink for me. All of the bartenders were great, but most especially Hector in the Preferred Bar. We also received exceptional service from Emilio by the pool. The Secrets pool next door is nice, but crowded. We were kicked out by the pool waiter police, even though we weren't eating or drinking anything. There isn't anything really different or special on the secrets side that we saw, except perhaps the grade of the food. There were more sushi options available at the Sushi Bar at Secrets and better options at the Barefoot Grill by the pool ( gyros and fish sandwiches, vs burgers and hot dogs at Dreams). The AC in our room was more than sufficient and having our room reset daily was really nice. We always had plenty of towels and they were kind enough to have our room service dishes cleared. The app is really useful at this resort for menus and to order service such as tray pick up for room service. We had massages at the spa, they have a great deal on couples massages on Wednesdays, I made my reservation 2 weeks early to secure the time and day I wanted. The app is also good for finding out what the deals are, day by day at the spa. Also, you can access the list and times for activities at the resort. Overall, we had a wonderful time and for nearly half the price we usually pay to go to Cabo San Lucas. We would highly recommend this resort.

My family and friends stayed at dreams vallarta bay perffered club for our destination wedding. Its was an amazing wedding and stay at vallarta bay, all our guests spoke highly of the resort. Karla the wedding coordinator was excellent and very easy and accommodating to work with. Jose our server stood out at the wedding to me as an absolute rock star! He had the best attitude. I've been to quite a few all inclusive resorts and this one was my favorite, partly because the staff were so fun and friendly everywhere you went. From the coco coffee bar or the gym, to every restaurant, pool server/bartenders. Alan, jesus, jose and pool side Carlos made sure the espresso martinis were always available! We had our wedding here at the end of April 2026, with 25 guests staying at the resort with us for the week, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Preferred Club section, and it was absolutely worth it. The concierge team was fantastic, especially Adriana, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. We loved having access to the Preferred Club lounge with easy snacks and breakfast, the private bar that was never too busy, and the jacuzzi on the balcony. The location was also perfect, close to the pools, beach, and everything we needed. The food was honestly 10/10. We loved the restaurants and buffet at the resort, and all of our guests kept talking about how good everything was. The resort itself was also incredibly clean, the pools were great, and the beach was beautiful. We feel really lucky to have had our wedding in such a stunning place. What truly made this experience unforgettable, though, was our wedding coordinator, Karla Cruz. From start to finish, Karla was phenomenal to work with. Planning a destination wedding can feel overwhelming, but she made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. She was organized, responsive, calming, and genuinely cared about making our wedding special. One thing that really stood out to us was that Karla stayed for our entire wedding, which we thought was incredible and showed how much she truly cared. Our wedding day went perfectly, and that was absolutely because of Karla and the wonderful team she coordinated. We also wanted to recognize some of the amazing staff who made our week so memorable. Alan was such a fantastic bartender and always brought such great energy. Jose gave incredible service throughout our stay, and another server whose name we unfortunately forgot was equally amazing and attentive. The DJ also did an incredible job helping create such a fun atmosphere for our wedding reception. Every single one of our guests had an amazing time and kept raving about the resort throughout the trip. We would absolutely come back again and would highly recommend this resort for both vacations and weddings.
