The Royal Cancun All Suites Resort

David, Charlie and Alex are the fun coordinators! They bring smiles, playfulness, laughter and so much fun to every activity! They obviously love what they do and we are so glad they do! Bingo, beach volleyball, ping pong and dancing wouldn’t be the same without them. Alex and his animal noises are on point! The Royal Cancun is family friendly and quaint and feels like home for all of us. Seeing the same familiar welcoming faces (Jeremiah and Vincent) over the years to welcome us home is a highlight- always remembering our names as we come and go. The way the staff makes us feel by the personalization and sincerity is why we keep coming back. At the Palapala (thank you Alfredo!) waiters remembered where we prefer to sit and went out of their way (on their own time) to buy and bring mangos from the market for one of our kids. We treasure the time we spend making new friends, spending time catching up with old friends and relaxing at the beach making lasting memories.

This resort is special. Because it's one of the oldest on the island, it's low-rise and beautifully landscaped, with the friendliest and most helpful staff who've often been there for decades. You can always get a lounger by the pool or on the beach and you (and your children) can actually swim in the sea because there is no surf. The main restaurant looks out over the beach. There are multiple water-sports activities available onsite: paddle-boarding, sailing, kayaking, water aerobics. Villas are comfortable. Good wifi. And if this is not enough, you can also use the facilities at its sister-resort, the Royal Sands, taking a free shuttle bus.

It was a good experience staying in Royal Cancún. The resort was clean, quiet in the night, the water was shallow with seaweeds during this season. but we can use the beach in the neighborhood. The staff were friendly and helpful. We also had the opportunity to enjoy the food, beverage and facilities in Royal Sands, which is the sister resort. Recommended.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The. Housekeeper came every day and made sure our refrigerator was stocked with beverages. Customer service was excellent and they made sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. We were able to go to their sister hotel The Royal Sands and enjoy their amenities, that was included in our all inclusive package. We had a great time.

Family of 5 - two adults, one older teen and two kids, We were pleased with the hotel and the accommodation. We had a beachfront 2-bed, 1-bathroom suite and it worked really well for us. The room is fully stocked with plates, cups, mugs, pots, pans and anything else you might need. Room service comes daily and also replenishes the mini-bar. Mini-bar contents included 2 beers, 2 light beers, 2 cokes, 2 diet cokes, 2 sprite and some bottles water. Food was mostly fine. Nothing super but not bad. There are two restaurants, one open all day and one that opens in the afternoon but requires reservations. The all-day one is where you will go for the buffet breakfast. They don’t have any pre-packaged snacks available, other than ice cream sandwiches at the restaurants / bars. If you wanted any other kind of snack, you would have to go to the on site shop. The resort itself is pretty small and quiet. We had no issues with seats on the sea front or round the pool. Drink and food service round the pool and sea front was fairly regular and the staff were friendly. They do have a pretty good selection of cocktails on their list but they are on the weak side. We arrived the hotel late in the evening so missed the timeshare sell. They did put a “very important” note through our door telling us that we have to come and get our welcome package at the front desk during the day and they even called the room to remind us. We never bothered going to collect it. My only real gripe was that as well as the red bands you get a check-in, you had to hand over your room key every time you ordered something so they could bill your room the zero-dollar charge. This also meant that you had to wait and close out a zero-dollar bill with them each time. You couldn’t just go to a bar, grab a drink and leave. Instead, you had to go to the bar, ask for a drink, give them your room key, they handed that off to someone else who rung it up, you get your drink, then you wait to sign the bill. Very inconvenient and not what I was expecting for an all-inclusive, although my experience of all inclusive is limited so maybe that is the norm. It did make it good for leaving a tip though so you didn’t need to carry cash. You can take the bus over to the Royal Sands resort, which is their sister resort, and use their facilities as well as restaurants. That resort is much bigger and much more busy. Worth doing it for a day but we were glad to get back to the much quieter Royal Cancun. You can not bill anything to your room at that resort, so you are still having to sign the bill each time but you can’t add a tip. We didn’t have any cash that day so nobody got a tip. Transport to and from the hotel by their on-site agency was good and the drivers were friendly. There are daily activities that you can sign up for and there are kayaks, paddle boards etc on the beach front that you can reserve for 30 mins at a time. We all had a good time and enjoyed being at the resort. I would consider coming here again in the future but I’d also look to see what else might be available in the area before making a booking.

I stayed at the Royal Cancun Resorts and had a great time. I have to say that the Reynaldo that works at the Resort is a very nice person very attentive and to the guests. He goes out of his way to help anyone in needs. He makes you feel like family. He is cordial, and has good manners. He is a hard worker. He is a gentleman and knows how to treats the guest. Best experience at Royal cancun specially when u get the best welcome by Reynaldo so pleasant n professional always going above and beyond with me n my family hes amazing one of the best ..also want to include Jerry and Vincent they are the the most amazing Bell man , from the welcome n the Good bye so attentive .. calling our cabs for any trip making sure we are all safe and in good hand that mean so much .. amazing guys thank you

This is my 3 rd try at leaving a high recommendation on my vacation at the Royal Cancun Resort. Excellent service especially the following people who really gave extraordinary service: Sr Luis Munas, thank you for all those extra delights; coffee room, midday snack cart, afternoon & dinner grill. Under your direction I would like to commend: Miriam, Patricia, & Manuel. Amazing service! Thank you to the Bell Boy station: Jeremiah, Renaldo, & Vincent. As good as it gets for an affordable and relaxing vacation. They have everything you want and nothing you don’t. If you can’t relax here you have issues to resolve. They have plenty of in-house activities as well as a free shuttle to their sister resort the Sands, from early morning to about 22:00. The large team of staff (everyone acknowledges you, from pool to front of office) are all professional at their jobs and are so kind - and it’s obvious to tell they enjoy their jobs. They are so organised and skilled at making you feel home away from home. 10/10. No negatives. A very well maintained and beautiful resort.
