Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal

This was our 5th visit to the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. We were one of the last guests to check out in July before the resort closed for renovations. We recently stayed at a renovated room at the iconic Waldorf Astoria New York and a renovated villa at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui. When walking into the room, the floor to ceiling redesign was awe-inspiring. The first thing we noticed was how much lighter things looked especially the ceiling. The white furnishings including the premium minibar gave the room a sleek and modern feel. The addition of a ceiling fan and the metallic sea turtle shell on the wall above the bed as well as the turtles for the knobs on the drawers are excellent touches. There are plenty of outlets and charging stations in the nightstand and in the bed frame. The technical upgrade of the electronic panel to control the lighting is a great enhancement. The redesigned terrace furniture made sitting by the firepit or the plunge pool a pleasant place to enjoy the daily chips, pico de gallo, freshly made guacamole and Coronas. Overall, we appreciated the beauty of the renovated room without comprising the authenticity. As a frequent traveler and Lifetime Diamond member, the beauty of this picturesque cliffside location with the mountains and deep blue waters are a perfect combination. The addition of the pool in front of the spa to created additional ocean front seating was a well-executed expansion. The resort always dazzles when you arrive through the tunnel and the renovations have elevated the property to another level of beauty and luxury. What truly separates the guest experience at the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal are the team members. Their genuine hospitality is consistent and organic. There is always a group waiting to welcome you as you exit your vehicle. Eneyda was our personal concierge this visit and she called before our arrival to help us start preparing for our stay. We also reconnected with Rey and Gino who had been our concierges previously. Gino was the first person we met during our initial visit and although he is a butler now, he always finds time to come by and say hello. The breakfast at Don Manuel’s each day is spectacular. The buffet is like Sunday Brunch at many places. My wife loves the homemade tortillas, empanadas, and the other authentic dishes. The pastries are delicious and the cinnamon rolls are the best we have ever tasted. The highlight of our trip is to reunite with Salvador (Chava). He always makes sure our day gets off to a great start by taking excellent care of us. His wit, humor, extra care, and attention to detail always create special memories that we continue to cherish. It was a pleasure to meet Andrea, the F&B Supervisor. She was very kind and gracious and made sure that we had everything we needed. Relaxing at the adult infinity pool is our favorite thing to do especially when the whales are jumping! The service is exceptional and Daniel, Carlos, Jonathan, and Alex made sure to adjust our umbrella for shade whenever we needed it. We walked down to the beach club to say hello of J.P. and have dinner on our first afternoon. The shrimp and fish tacos were outstanding. Hopefully we will be able to do the Mar & Leña Steak Night at the Beach Club Palapa when we return. The housekeeping and turn down service was top notch and performed each day as requested. Lupita does an awesome job and always greets you with a smile. We have stayed at several of the luxury properties in the Hilton portfolio including 12 Waldorf Astoria locations around the globe. The initiative, intuition, professionalism, and passion for hospitality are some of things that make the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal the Best in Class. In my opinion, they are the benchmark for the industry in making the guest feel welcomed and at home. The team is now led by their new General Manager Mr. Juan Gonzalez Izquierdo who arrived in September from the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead. We stayed at the property in Atlanta as Juan was in the process of leaving. He was not on-site the day we stayed but we connected via email. It was a pleasure to meet him during this stay and I look forward to the next phase at Pedregal under his guidance. The Resort Manager, Mrs. Libia Ronco has been key contributor to the success of the property since it opened and as it has transitioned over the years. We always look forward to sitting down to talk to her and sharing a laugh. Libia is a servant leader and is well respected by her team. During our last visit, we connected with the Guest Experience Manager, Mrs. Samara Alvarez. She is very thorough and loves to help others. Samara checked on us each day and was kind enough to answer some questions I had about the renovations. She has a bright future because hospitality is not what she does it is her destiny. I am always happy to return to a property to see that well deserving team members are being recognized and promoted. It is obvious that all the team members genuinely care about the guest and their experiences. Alberto and Raymundo (Everybody Loves Raymond) as well as all the other team members are great ambassadors for the Hilton brand. There is the genuine warmth and personalized service associated with the Waldorf and then there is the unrivaled guest experience at our home away from home at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal.

Pedregal is by far the best service oriented hotel of the luxury hotel category in Cabo. Pedregal’s legendary hospitality is truly one of a kind. The service is in line with some of the best hotels we have experienced around the world. Everyone is assigned to their own concierge. Ours was Fabian. If you take advantage of the concierge service’s offered, you will experience an absolutely amazing vacation. Fabian took our luxury trip to a whole new level with his foresight to be one step ahead of everything we needed or wanted, from restaurant reservations to a private whale watching tour and recommendations for other experiences. However he was so much more than a concierge. He truly made us feel like we were visiting family and wanted to show us the culture and the best of Cabo. Free everyday! The breakfast buffet is the best we have ever experienced. It included fresh baked pastries, homemade tortillas and empanadas. it is similar to a Sunday brunch but everyday. With our room it was included and worth it!! Fresh guacamole & chips with 2 Corona’s on ice. Delivered to your room for sunset every afternoon. Sweets at turn town service. Best Chocolate ever! Many thanks to the service staff that changed our lives while we were at Pedregal. Fabian, Alberto, Erick, Ezekiel, Louis & Daniel. I know I have missed some names. Every staff person that we meet was amazing.

We recently stayed at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal again, and it’s still one of the most beautiful properties in Cabo. Driving through the private tunnel carved into the mountain never gets old, and the cliffside views over the Pacific are honestly hard to beat. The grounds are perfectly landscaped and immaculately maintained, which adds to the peaceful, upscale feel of the entire resort. Having a private plunge pool in every room makes the stay feel quiet and exclusive, and even when the resort is full it never feels busy or chaotic. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, and having a dedicated concierge really does make a difference in the overall experience. That said, we did notice a few small changes compared to last year. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash felt downgraded to a more basic brand. There’s also no longer a complimentary bottle of Clase Azul tequila in the room — it’s now offered for purchase at around $180 USD. Snacks and pop that used to be complimentary in the room are now priced quite high. Those little luxury touches used to add to the overall wow factor, so it was disappointing to see them removed. Overall, it’s still an incredible place to stay and one of the most memorable resorts we’ve ever stayed at. We will be back.

I cannot possible convey our thanks for the level of service and room amenities. We booked the transportation from the airport through the hotel. It was spot on. Upon arrival at the gate you are asked what type of welcome beverage you prefer - we said Margarita and it was waiting for us by an attendants as we pulled in. Our concierge took care of us. Our room was magnificent. A junior suite that overlooked the ocean with a small private pool in a garden area, a fireplace, two separate bathroom areas and a shower that opened up to the ocean. Stunning. The food was exceptional. We ate at all three restaurants and enjoyed all of them. The Sommelier, Luis, was very knowledgeable and we discovered some beautiful Mexican wines each evening. The pool was the perfect temperature. They have a towel waiting with an attendant as you walk out of the pool. We always found a chair. People did not reserve them all day with a t-shirt. Our pool attendants Marcos and Pata were so friendly and attentive. This is the first time we have had a swim up bar that has Sushi! So cool. We only ate the continental breakfast each morning so we could enjoy the bar later. It was ample. My only wish is that they had something lighter for dinner, perhaps a bar where you do not have to have a reservation with soups, tacos, salads…. The restaurant food, while wonderful, was quite heavy and we would have appreciated something lighter fare on one night. Thanks for the beautiful stay.

This was our third visit to this wonderful property. The refresh was well done. The room seemed brighter and the new furnishings all are very high end. We especially enjoyed the new outdoor furnishings- very comfortable. We ate all our meals on the property and the food was delicious and so nicely presented. A new dining option is the weekend night grill option at the Beach Club restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely…complete with live music. Our serverJuan was great and went above and beyond. The ribeye was a generous in size and grilled to perfection! All staff we observed to be very proactive and genuinely hospitable. The entire vibe of the WA Pedegral is relaxing. We hope to be able to return to this outstanding property again next year.

Very impressive resort. Beautiful views, great location, and good food. Spa is not worth the cost. Average treatment for way above Average cost for any 5 star resort in cabo. Pool need more staff. Fernando does a great job. But unless he was there, no much service was provided by other staff members. For the brand and cost of stay, it is good but not perfect over all. For similar cost and all inclusive option I would look into casa de playa for example. Grand velas also a good choice.

This is one of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed in and we travel a lot!!! The property is gorgeous and views stunning . The spa was also incredible !!We all had great massages and service as well. The service at this hotel is honestly amazing! They truly go above and beyond. We were treated like royalty!! Impeccable service from the minute u walk on this gorgeous property ! We worked with Fabian the concierge before we got there and he arranged all of our reservations. He was a pleasure to work with and always responded promptly. When my family got to the resort he was the first one to greet us out of the car. He took amazing care of us as well the whole time.Also at the pool Manuel and saie(sp) were amazing .Our pool experience was perfection because of these two! Our butler jorge was perfect. He showed us everything and checkedon us! Now for the breakfast, the food was incredible and once again the service! We were so lucky to start our day with Salvatore ! He is always smiling and made us so happy. He even knew my daughter would want the French toast. He was a bright spot in our day. I can't say enough positive things about this resort ! The service is off the charts and the staff is just lovely !

My wife and I stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Pedegral for 12 nights for our honeymoon. If that felt short! From the moment you get picked up at the airport you can feel the professionalism and high level of service that you will receive. Our driver, Jose, made our ride to the hotel calming and relaxing away from the airport chaos. And even before that your concierge is extraordinarily attentive and knowledgeable. Our concierge Francisco helped us create a strong itinerary that allowed us to do much of what Cabo had to offer before arriving at Cabo. My only regret was not reaching out to him sooner! During our stay he was extraordinarily attentive and warm and ensured that we had reminders and recommendations throughout our stay. His recommendations were all a hit and the excursions we did through the hotel were phenomenal. We cannot say enough nice things about Francisco. The hotel itself feels absolutely picture perfect to bring a mix of the Mexican culture with a enchanting, and relaxing environment. From the plunge pools to the daily guac and chips, they think of everything to make your experience highly memorable and enjoyable. The pool has incredible views of the ocean, whales, and the sunset. And even more importantly, the staff of Crudo and the pool go above and beyond to make sure you are well fed, hydrated, and covered/uncovered from the sun, depending on your preference. Huge shoutout to Jeremy, who made sure we had water, checked in on us constantly, and took the time to make us feel special even as he ran around and made every other guest feel special too. The manger over the pool and Crudo, Angel, is also phenomenal, checking in with guests, genuinely getting to know you, and ensuring that the service is top notch. We partook in all the events offered during our stay including a champagne hour and the tree lighting. Both events were amazing. We also did a wine tasting, mezcal stating and cooking class. We really enjoyed them and would highly recommend them. Also, special shout out to Luisa, the yoga instructor. We took her class several times during our stay and it was such a great way to start our days. I truly cannot find the words to express how special our stay was. Everyone we met was genuinely happy to be working there and it made the experience that much more unique. I am so happy we chose this hotel for our honeymoon. We cannot wait to be back.

As a well-traveled Hilton Diamond member, I had higher expectations for this stay. Despite clear availability, no upgrade was offered. The initial welcome was lackluster, and our assigned “personal concierge” interaction was brief and underwhelming. The gentleman who welcomed us spoke unclearly and mumbled throughout the explanation; we understood only parts of what he was saying. One point that did come through was his apparent assumption that our stay had been booked using points—an odd and misplaced comment, particularly given how poor Hilton point redemptions have become. For clarity, this stay was not booked on points, and the implication was both confusing and unnecessary. The room amenities and overall food quality were acceptable, though unremarkable. Notably, the branded soaps and shampoos we’ve come to expect from Hilton were replaced with an inferior product, which detracted from the experience. If not for the genuinely warm and attentive hospitality shown by nearly every other team member throughout the resort, this would have been a 3.5-star experience at best. The frontline staff across the property were excellent and clearly take pride in what they do. The front desk, however, fell short—particularly when engaging with a Diamond member. There is room for meaningful improvement in recognition, communication, and overall delivery at arrival.

Celebrating my 40th wedding anniversary was a dream of my husband and I. Waldorf Astoria exceeded our expectations. From the moment we step foot out of our car to the tearful goodbye, it was exquisite and just amazing. Every staff member was sweet and engaging. Jefferson, JP, Martin, Fernando as well as those we just ran into us were professional, sweet and most of all accommodating. The person who made our stay above and beyond our wildest dreams was Raquel. She upgraded us to a private villa where I and my husband could be in our own little paradise. No words can describe how grateful we are to this establishment. You made our celebration so much more special. Waldorf Astoria Pedgral, you have the best staff in the world. Each person in this establishment gives you 100%. Thank you for making us feel so special. This is now our place in Cabo. I am crying just writing this review. See you next for 41st anniversary ❤️

This hotel is fabulous! We hired the car service from the hotel for pickup and drop off. It’s about 45 min from airport. Was upgraded to 2 bedroom suite. Kitchen had Viking stove and Subzero refrigerator!!! Granite countertops and wooden doors were marvelous. We had a private butler. Had dinner on the cliff side restaurant and before you enter you get a glass of champagne at the champagne terrace. They had several Infinity pools and hot tub. Highly recommend this resort!!!

This was our 17th stay, and somehow the resort continues to surprise us — it truly gets better every time. The recent renovations are gorgeous, but what sets this place apart is the people who make every visit feel special. A huge thank-you to Libia for leading such an incredible team. The pool staff — Carlos, Manny, Marcos, Panchi, Jim, and Jonathan — make every day effortless and fun. The spa remains unmatched; Claudia and Betty are phenomenal. At Don Manuel, Judith, Wendy, and Fernanda always take such wonderful care of us. Lenny and Daniel prepared the most memorable dinner in our casita on our last night. And I have to mention Mariel — she is exceptional in everything she does and, at this point, truly is part of our family.

As soon as you arrive, you are greeted by the incredible team, especially Mariel. She ensures that everyone is having an enjoyable and relaxing visit in every way possible. Mariel is flexible and works extremely hard to make every possible adjustment and accommodation for each guest, doing so gracefully. We spent most days at the resort’s pool, where Carlos, Manuel, Marcos, Fernando, Jonathan, and Jim were attentive to every guest. The Waldorf’s restaurant, Don Manuel, offers a great menu and excellent hostesses and waiters. Judith, Wendy, and Fernanda were all especially kind. When we would travel outside of the resort, our group always requested Cesar as a driver - he is reliable, punctual, and friendly. I recommend booking a dinner with Chef Lenny. Alongside our waiter Daniel, they prepared a flavorful, well-rounded meal. Overall, the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal offers the most enjoyable experience. The incredible staff, beautiful landscape, and delicious food will always bring us back.

The staff is so amazing and welcoming every year, especially Mariel. Mariel helps with everything we need to ensure we have the best and most relaxing visit. She is so accommodating and friendly. Every year, the staff and support remain excellent. Often times, we are driving far distances to dinner and we always request Cesar to drive us - he is so reliable and friendly. The boys who work at the pool are so attentive, kind, and helpful (specifically great work from Carlos, Manuel, Marcos, Panchi, Jonathan, Jim) If you have a chance to go to the spa, don’t miss out. Specifically I would request a massage from either Betty or Claudia, both are amazing! The restaurant on premise, Don Manuel, is very delicious. We’ve had multiple meals there and the food is as excellent as the staff. Judith, Wendy, and Fernanda are so kind and helpful when you go. We had an excellent experience with a private chef one night. The food was incredible and the staff was even better. Lenny was the chef and Daniel was helping Lenny serve and set the table. If you wanted the private chef one night, I would recommend them both. The food and service were amazing. Overall, the stay at the WA in Cabo is always so enjoyable. The staff, food, and ambiance are what bring us back every year and the entire experience is always so enjoyable.

This has been a bucket list spot for us for a few years and we finally were able to spend five nights there this November, and WOW…the service is outstanding! From our pre-arrival planning with Karen, to check in with Daniel, to all of the restaurant staff (JP and Jefferson at Ocean club; Martin, Eric, Angel, Heriberto, and Fernanda at Don Manuel, and Juan and Gabriel at El Farfallon), to the spa (Ana Maria, Diana Li), and the Bell service, driver- everyone we met there made us feel very welcomed and special. We especially loved all the energy and the smiley faces that greeted us everyday. The people here definitely make this resort stand out above the rest! I hope the management realized how valuable your team members are and we look forward to coming back soon!

Our 16th visit and it keeps getting better and better! The renovations to the resort are beautiful and as always, the staff is the best in the world! Special shout outs to Libia, who has done a fantastic job with the entire team; the guys at the pool including Carlos, Manny, Marcos, Panchi, Jim and Jonathan; the spa which is absolutely the best especially Claudia and Betty; Judith, Wendy and Fernanda at Don Manuel; Lenny and Daniel, who cooked us an amazing dinner on our last night at. Our casita; and, of course, Mariel, who is not only the best at everything she does, but is really now an extended member of our family!

We have been to Cabo many times and have stayed at several wonderful resorts. WE had yet to stay at The Waldorf and everything about our stay was incredible. Our concierge, Karen, was instrumental in helping arrange everything for us. Transportation, reservations, spa appointments, etc. She did it all and was extremely accommodating when we made last minute changes. We were greeted upon arrival with a cocktail and every evening there was a special amenity awaiting us in our room; wine, beer and guacamole, special desserts for dia de los muertos, etc. We had an oceanfront room with a splash pool on the patio which made it hard to want to leave. I cannot say enough about the staff at this resort. They remember you by name and are so kind and gracious. My chair was always pulled out for me AT EVERY MEAL. Not sure I ever opened a door for myself. If you asked for directions within the resort they didn't just tell you how to get there, they would escort you. This was a quick getaway for my birthday and they acknowledged my birthday at every meal and always sent a personalized treat at dinner. Karen arranged a lovely dinner and sunset cocktails offsite for one of our evenings. We spent one afternoon walking around the marina and town and safety was never a concern for us. This is such a special resort. You can't beat the views and the staff make you want to never leave!
