Conrad Punta de Mita

The property is beautiful in every way. From the grand, elegant lobby to the beautifully manicured landscaping and pool areas, the property was very welcoming. We rented the beachside room in Casa 7 and were impressed by the size and elegance. Our room included a butler, daily buffet breakfast, daily evening snacks and bar, and complimentary airport transfer. The staff was very friendly and the quality of service was top notch at all the restaurants. The sunsets and ocean waves were mesmerizing!

We visited during the busy Festive Season between Christmas and New Years Day- which, we knew to expect the property to be busy with families- what we encountered was the busiest family resort we have ever seen. Starting with the good- the staff are very friendly and the property is new and beautiful for the most part and the Spa is stunning- incredible outdoor space to relax and enjoy a quiet sanctuary. The food quality was very good - with Arbol having delicious pasta’s and Mesquite offering amazing fresh fish and roasted Chicken. The hotel only has one restaurant for breakfast- Arbol- which during Festive week is expanded into the lobby- and the team does an amazing job getting everyone fed as quickly as possible- and the property gave Gold Hilton honors members complimentary upgrades from Continental breakfast to full buffet/ which was a very nice touch!! Shout out to Christina at Arbol for Breakfast- she is amazing and very friendly!! Some Areas of Improvement we feel are needed- lounge Chair access- seriously the biggest challenge was getting a lounge chair- the property is fully aware how busy this week was going to be with 3-5 people staying in most rooms- yet they did nothing to increase lounger availability- and I never saw any staff monitoring the vacant chairs as they advised at check in (vacant chairs for more than 45 minutes are supposed to be cleared and given to other guests)- in order to get a lounger chair we had to get up and secure our chairs at 7am!!! And we were usually getting the last chairs- seriously- 7am - it was still dark outside- but if you didn’t play the game then you don’t get a lounge chair!!! We always returned to our chairs after breakfast and never left them empty but I saw chairs sit empty for 3-4 hours- and no one did anything.. The television system could be improved- only basic cable is offered- no streaming services or comcast- which is fairly basic these days! Location/Beach- the property is a bit isolated- and beach is a bit dirty/ hotel would benefit from cleaning up the beach.. St Regis/Four Seasons location is much nicer and much closer to town for additional shopping and restaurant options. Festive Season specific observations and suggestions: we expected families and children- we did not expect hundreds and hundreds of children- our first night dinner at Arbol and experienced screaming children for our entire meal- when I looked around I realized we were the only table without children in the entire restaurant-this is great resort and great time of year to visit for families- not suggested for couples looking for a quiet luxury getaway- If you do visit during Festive season without children I would suggest spending a day or two at the spa- their outdoor relaxation area is stunning with a beautiful pool/ jacuzzi and cold plunge and many lounge and sitting areas to enjoy a peaceful days - access comes with a 50min or longer spa service or you can purchase a day pass (ask for a product special- instead of paying $100USD for a pass you can buy a face cream or sunblock for less and get access). The hotels Adults only pool is very nice and has a great swim up bar/ but getting a lounge chair is difficult- set an alarm and get down to the pool by 630am to secure a chair- which I know is ridiculous but the realty of this resort. Overall, I felt this was a good point redemption property, and an amazing resort for families with children- but would caution any solo travelers or couples looking for a peaceful luxury experience especially during Festive Season.

The stay at Conrad Punta de Mita was a study in contrasts. While the culinary offerings and specific service stars (especially in the spa and at the pools) were luxury-class, the experience was frequently undermined by a rigid, "corporate" culture. We encountered a frustrating "bias to say no" regarding basic requests, coupled with significant administrative disorganization regarding credits and bookings. The Highlights: Service & Amenities The Spa (Standout Experience) Treatment Quality: Both the Marakame and Deep Tissue massages were excellent. We both had Luz, who is a phenomenal therapist. Atmosphere: The outdoor hut for the Marakame treatment provided a gorgeous, serene setting. Note for Improvement: The soundscape/music in the outdoor area needs to be better managed; the relaxation was occasionally broken by the sound of kids yelling nearby. More white noise, a water feature or higher music volume may help. Dining & Poolside Service Exceptional Staff: High praise for Martin (Codex), Alec/Alex (Family Pool), and Luis (Infinity Pool). The beach bartender was wonderful (can't recall his name!) and went out of his way to accommodate the kids' smoothie requests. Value for Families: The "Kids 12 & Under Eat Free" policy is excellent and more generous than other properties that often end that around 10. Food Quality: We ate at every restaurant on property, we found all the food to be of high quality. They also did a nice job accomodating our son on the adult menu. I get for those that are maybe used to staying at Hiltons the pricing seemed steep, for us compared to other luxury Mexican resorts they seemed in line to us - a bit cheaper honestly. We were also impressed w/ their wine offerings in terms of quality Mexican wines - far better for example than what Las Ventanas offers. The Lowlights: Administrative & Cultural Friction - A "Culture of No" & Lack of Flexibility There was a palpable bias toward being unaccommodating. Examples included: Late Check-out: A flat refusal to accommodate a later departure. I had to push back a bit as the request was only for an hour accommodation – I was then told they would make an “exception” (it’s either possible or it’s not) it wasn’t a policy exception as the policy is to extend check out due to my HH Gold status and Hilton for Luxury booking. Technology: No ability to stream to TVs (Screencast, Apple TV, etc.), which is unexpected for a modern, new resort. We were eventually told Apple TVs were available but all were taken. My guess is the suites are priortizied, but this is a basic amentity guests expect – to stream or to be able to rent movies even. Cabana Food & Beverage Credit: There was a convo at check out over our F&B credit. Staff refused to take our word for the credit we knew we had (waiter who booked it told us it was $200 for the adult pool) but was dismissed and told nope its $100, creating an unnecessary "guilty until proven innocent" atmosphere. Administrative Disorganization Booking Errors: We arrived to find the cabana we had signed the day before for hadn't actually been booked in the system. The "Paperwork" Check-in: The 8-page, desk-bound check-in felt more like a US corporate office than a luxury Mexican resort. This process was timely and very inconsistent with luxury Mexican resorts we have stayed at before. Sadly, it ended up being a foreshadow for the corporate feel of any admin issue. Logistics & Room Issues Dangerous Arrival: The $300+ transport was genuinely scary, with the driver exceeding 80 MPH on a narrow and bumpt road and passing into oncoming traffic. First time we have EVER had to tell a driver to please slow down as I felt really unsafe w/ our son in the car. HVAC Failure: The room was freezing with no heating element available so you couldn’t use the thermostat to warm the room up. We turned the temp up 6 degrees, returned 5 hours later to the same 66 degrees. We didn’t know that was the issue and nor did the staff – they first sent someone who replaced the thermostat and then again sent maintenance who was in the room for over an hour. We were forced to turn the AC off entirely to reach a manageable temp. Not something you should have to spend hours on during vacation. You couldn’t open the patio door either because condensation would wet everything in the room, making the floors unsafe to even walk on (plus they would become filthy) Housekeeping: Stained cushions on the pull-out bed were ignored by housekeeping. They have Byredo products (a favorite of mine), but then saw there was no body wash – the soap available for three people was a round small soap typically used for hand washing or face wash, it was never replaced during the stay either.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at the Conrad Punta De Mita. The grounds are meticulously cared for, and every detail was thought of. Our room was absolutely beautiful, and even though ocean view was sold out, our garden view was stunning and even had a baby view of the ocean we weren’t expecting. The breakfast on site was absolutely delicious as was all of our dinners that we had. If you’re looking for a special evening, I particularly recommend Codex. It was a five star experience. The beach out front is absolutely beautiful and when we went, the waves were perfect for our kids to play around in, but still feel safe. We went over Christmas so it was at 100% capacity, but it didn’t feel overly crowded or like you were in a cattle call when you went places. You just had to be a little more diligent about finding a lawn chair. We had so much fun and we will definitely be back again.

The resort is in a great location,and has a nice layout with not everything too spread out. The room was great,and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were generally very nice, and helpful. Having 3 pools and one with a slide is a real bonus don’t see that often. The food is pretty good for the most part expect for the buffet dinners which are more overpriced then the regular restaurants and the food quality is lower there. Our favorite experience on the resort was the turtle release,it’s a nice experience and would recommend that. Even though our stay was great there were a few things that could be improved. One pool chairs often if you went to pool in the afternoon it would be very hard to find chairs and most people claim them by leaving the stuff on them. Also there’s no real quiet chair areas minus the few chairs behind the infinity pool. The room service is inconsistent, and sometimes wouldn’t even be cleaned out 4pm. The WiFi is slow and does go in and out which is annoying. Also there’s no chrome cast on the tv which would be a nice feature,better than watching something on your phone. In addition there are lots of kids and they can sometimes be running around so be aware of that.Overall we did enjoy our stay, and would still recommend even though there were a few things that could be improved.

Just stayed at the resort for 5 days. We had a great time and the staff is very friendly. We did have initial hiccup at check in, and at times it felt like the service was slow. Given the high season, it was somewhat expected. The food at the restaurants need more flavor. The overall service was good except during the diner at the restaurant Mezquite. Overall property is nice, the rooms are very spacious. The balcony is huge with very comfortable furniture. It was nice listening to the ocean waves from it.

Wonderful service, top notch food. Very accommodating for vegetarians, spacious rooms, great amenities, and a great game room. The food at Codex is an experience and worth the visit! One thing to definitely do is have a photo session taken with Wendy at Beam! She is so great with kids, takes photos in the moment, and captures the essence of our spirit. It’s a must!

We travelled with our two older kids to the Conrad just before Xmas 2025. Expected good quality and service especially after reading reviews but we were quite blown away. There was literally no slip up on service. From room cleaning to the 5 restaurants we ate in including bars and room service, everyone knows your name, everyone smiles. Anything is possible. Food quality end to end perfect. Even by the pools. Never felt busy as there are a lot of dispersed areas to congregate. Used the concierge a lot. Usually by text. Responsive and efficient. Finally the golf nearby is beautiful. A little overpriced but very well maintained and the on-course tacos were excellent. So what is the 1% disappointment. The beautiful pools are head-shakingly freezing. They are gorgeous and empty except for some small kids and a few hardy parents. Weird and likely has some logical explanation. Bit disappointing though. Well done to the whole Conrad team!!

As a long-time Hilton loyalist, I was really excited to book this property. The only hesitation I had came from a few reviews mentioning the food quality — but honestly, the food ended up being one of the best parts of our entire stay. Yes, the dining is expensive, but it’s a resort, and the quality was truly top-notch. We traveled with our two kids (10 and 7) and my brother and sister-in-law, who have a 3.5-year-old, and the whole crew had an amazing time. The kids basically lived at the pool and went down the slide at least a thousand times. We loved starting our mornings swimming in the ocean and then transitioning to the pool in the afternoons. Every staff member we interacted with treated us incredibly well. One of the highlights was getting to release baby turtles with the kids — a dream come true and something we’ll never forget. The rooms were spectacular. Breakfast was excellent. Lunch at Paleta by the pool every day was consistently delicious. We tried all the restaurants for dinner, and Codex and the Italian restaurant were the clear standouts. The Japanese buffet offered during our stay was also surprisingly great. Another huge plus for families: kids eat free, which is such a thoughtful benefit and makes the property even more appealing for those traveling with little ones. Overall, we truly cannot say enough good things about this resort. It exceeded every expectation, and we hope to spend another holiday here with our family in the future.

Our stay at Conrad Punta De Mita was exceptional; the property is stunning, service is top-notch from the front desk to housekeeping. The concierge service was fabulous and a special note of appreciation to Angelica who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The rooms are beautiful - we had a wonderful ocean front suite - and very comfortable. The restaurants are great - especially Mezquite and Codex - and the breakfast was extensive. The pool staff were so nice and everyone greeted us with a smile and addressed us by name. Even though the resort is quite large, and it was at 90% capacity when we were there, it is so spread out that it didn't feel crowded - except perhaps at breakfast. This is a perfect escape for families or couples (there is an adult only pool) seeking relaxation in a gorgeous, easy-to-navigate resort setting. We will return.

My husband, our six-year-old daughter, and I stayed at the Conrad Hilton for a week after Thanksgiving and had an incredible experience. Booking through Costco Travel was seamless, and the service from the moment we arrived was exceptional. Gabriella at the front desk was especially kind and helpful. Our daughter loved the kids club, and we were impressed with all the activities especially the fantastic pizza-making class with their chef which was free! The staff was warm, the resort was beautiful, and we left wishing we had booked even more. An amazing stay overall, and we would happily return every year.

This was our second stay at the Conrad Punta Mita but the first stay with our two toddlers ages 3 1/2 years old and 5 years old. We had an amazing time over Thanksgiving break. The Conrad exceeded our expectations with the family friendly and awesome entertainment for the children. I had no idea that kid’s eat for free. The water slide was a hit for my toddlers and I loved that there was a staff member making sure the kids got on and off the slide safely. The game room was a huge bonus, ping pong, video games, shuffle board, pool, air hockey and more. My children also were able to release sea turtles to the ocean, pets hawks and participate in movie night while we finished up dinner. We had two adjoining hotel rooms as we were not sure where our children would sleep but the king room with the pull out be was the win as both kids loved the pull out bed (it’s much nicer than a typical pull out bed.) We had plenty of space, especially with 2 rooms. The staff was friendly and accommodating, 5 star service. A special shout out to Juan from the kid pool area and Julio the concierge, our vacation wouldn’t be the same without them. We also scheduled a family photo session with Beam photography. Wendy, the photographer is incredible. Our children were being extremely difficult, however, Wendy’s professionalism, patience, determination and artistic vision created the most beautiful family photos. She is a gifted photographer and I highly recommend her work! I also participated in private pickleball lessons. My instructors Danny and Johnny were so fun, knowledgeable and professional. It was a blast playing with them. The downside of my review is the transportation company hired to take guests to and from the airport to the resort, they are awful. Our trip from the airport the person tried to have us sign a separate agreement to charge us $80 to stop to get our toddlers water and the person on the way back didn’t want to take the toll road, when they knew there was construction traffic on the regular road and we almost missed our flight. We paid over $350 and were happy to do so for a hassle free pick up and drop off, but this is not acceptable. The rest of our stay was fantastic.

My family and I just returned from a truly lovely 5-night stay at the Conrad Punta de Mita over the Thanksgiving holiday, and it was exceptional from start to finish. This resort is a stunning, peaceful paradise, and the staff made the experience truly unforgettable. The check-in and check-out process was seamless and quick, setting the tone for a relaxing trip. The grounds are absolutely stunning—beautifully maintained and a pleasure to walk through every day. The service was impeccable across the board, but a few individuals deserve special recognition: Codex Restaurant: Jesus and Bernardo were incredible! They were attentive, warm, and made our dining experiences memorable. Adults Pool: Brenda and Juancarlos were fantastic—always attentive, friendly, and ensured we were comfortable throughout the day. We felt so well taken care of by everyone. We are already looking forward to planning our return trip. We will be back!
