My husband and I stayed for five days at The Reefs in October. It was absolute perfection. If you arrive at night you will have the pleasure of meeting Lesley who is the night manager and who will definitely be someone you will never forget. She will go above and beyond for you and you will enjoy chats after dinner with her as she catches up to make sure everything is perfect. Samantha at the front desk is amazing as is the whole staff at The Reefs. Everyone is pleasant and happy to help with anything.
Our room overlooked the pool and the ocean and beach. Words can’t decide the color of the water and the pink sand beach is breathtaking. The room is very comfortable and nicely updated.
The food at every meal was delicious. The beach bbq at Coconuts spectacular with a bonfire on the beach..
There were always beach chairs and umbrellas available no matter what time you got there. Our waiter Sendin on the beach brought food and drinks to our chairs!! Always checking to make sure we didn’t need anything.
You will never want to get out of the crystal clear turquoise water!
Gorgeous sunsets every night!
So many other wonderful things to say about The Reefs but the bottom line is we hope to return multiple times a year to heaven on earth. The Reefs!

Less corporate feel than many hotels around the world. Yes comfy pillows giant bath towels and private beach for snorkeling very personal and attentive staff. Delicious variety and service for breakfast from cod to salmon to eggs Benedict

We just returned from a wonderful stay at The Reefs, and one of our most positive observations was the level of service from the bellmen to the restaurant servers to the housekeeping staff. As another reviewer mentioned, they happily go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need. No request is too big.
We also enjoyed all the restaurants and the variety from dining beachside at Coconuts to the daily breakfast at Aqua Terra. The Thursday beach bbq (luckily we had the last one of the season) was wonderful - the numerous choices were deliciously prepared to please every palate. I would just suggest to have the food items labeled as it was difficult to see what the chafing dishes contained in the dark after sunset.
Speaking of sunsets, none better than at The Reefs! I will say the beach was absolutely immaculately maintained and we enjoyed it so much. I have never seen sand like that; not one rock, pebble, or seaweed. It was like swimming in a saltwater pool. The servers coming around to take food and drink orders was also a huge plus. Makes the resort experience really nice. There are water urns at the pool, beach area, and in the restaurants so that you could conveniently fill up your bottles.
We liked our cliffside room - it was spacious and the view of the gorgeous beach was amazing. The only thing we would say to improve was the bathroom set up - strange no door on shower and no exhaust for the steam. The little shelf above the sinks is useful but it was not level and things kept falling over.
We also had wonderful treatments at LaSerena spa - the staff are very knowledgeable and efficient.
The main reason for a “very good” and not “excellent” rating was the stairs. Overall, we felt the resort was excellent, but the stairs were a bit more of an obstacle than we anticipated. We knew about the stairs and several reviewers warned of this as a mobility issue, but since we hadn’t seen photos of the stairs, were unsure of how many or how steep.
That said, the stunning beauty of the beach and quality of other amenities almost make the stairs forgettable!
We met some nice people and we would love to return to this paradise of a resort.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at the Reefs. I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff was from minute one when the valets greet you by name helping with your bags and you are escorted inside to a lovely Rum Swizzle and cool towel…true pampering. The other patrons were equally as pleasant. We all remarked to each other at the beach as we were floating on pool noodles in the most beautiful water you can imagine or sitting in the hot tub overlooking the sea…This is the life. The views just caused you to stop and admire every day.
We appreciated so many things like easy access to towels, snorkels, paddle boards, kayaks, chairs, tables, noodles, umbrellas- no rigid rules or worry about getting a chair. The fact that you can order off the menu or do the buffet or any combination you want for free breakfast inside or outside on a gorgeous patio, a real bonus. Little things like you can stay past checkout and shower and change in a nice room. Turndown service and afternoon tea also lovely. Coconuts in the evening is wonderful- yummy food- world class beach/cliff views- chirping frogs- so relaxing and dare I say romantic. We enjoyed renting a mini car onsite and running around the island one day. The spa was also really amazing. The beach BBQ was a fun unique experience. We will be back for sure.

We had a great four nights at The Reefs. It was our first time to Bermuda and I think we chose the right place for us. We absolutely loved our room with its beautiful views. All of the workers were very kind and helpful. We ate all of our meals except one evening, at the hotel and enjoyed the food. Lunch at Coconuts and dinner at Aqua Terrace were all fabulous. The private beach was a great asset to the hotel and we really enjoyed spending time there. We rented a Tazzi across the road one day and toured the islands. It was much easier than trying to get taxis to the different beaches. My only complaint was the wifi. It was awful. Maybe because of our room location? I know you are supposed to "unplug" on vacation, but we still like to keep up to date, especially with hurricanes, airline schedules, family etc. We had to pay for an international plan from our carrier as the wifi was that useless.

Our early October visit to The Reefs was truly magical. We agree that the Reefs brings to life all of the things that make Bermuda such a uniquely special vacation. It oozes with charm and hospitality, its setting on a cliff gifts you with breathtaking ocean views, the staff welcomes you with warmth and impeccable service, the beach is truly stunning and the vibe is relaxed and tranquil.
What sets the Reefs apart to us is the staff… these are some of the kindest, most caring people we’ve ever encountered in our travels.
The level of care and kindness is hard to articulate, but it is a difference maker.
This trip, we were welcomed by bellman Zach... he is pure sunshine and we were blessed to start our Reefs vacation with Zach’s beautiful smile and careful care. His fellow bellman crew of Pedro, Leslie and Jace are also stellar.
The wait staff treats you like family and go above and beyond to make your meals a joy. I must mention some stars… Roy Dell, Kris Anthony, Ryan, Richard, Christian, and so many others.. wish I recalled each name, trust me, they are special. I bristled when I read a recent review saying the food was not good… we love the food at beautiful Coconuts and Aqua Terra to the degree that we chose to stay at The Reefs for all of our dinners. Breakfast is honestly a highlight of each day… fabulous omelette, coconut French toast and every breakfast option you can imagine. There is a Thursday Beach BBQ that’s so cool… huge buffet of fabulous dishes, music, torches, and bonfire. Super fun!
The other gold star at the Reefs is its magnificent beach. Private, pristine and almost too pretty to describe- I don’t think there is another beach on Bermuda that compare
Finally our room was so comfortable- housekeeping is top notch.. our housekeeper, Nekeeba, attended to every detail to make our room perfectly made up .. pristine! . Beds and pillows and thick, thirsty towels add to your comfort.
Spa also was fabulous with a shout out to beautiful Ivy who gives a fabulous massage.
Overal.. staying at The Reefs fills your cup … you will leave feeling rejuvenated with beautiful images tucked away till you can return. As they say… it’s the little things that are the big things… and there were 100s of little things that made our vacation so wonderful. Thank you to all at The Reefs- you are the very best!

Staying on the South shore of Bermuda for over 40 years we have stayed at many of the finest resorts. The Reefs offers a pristine beach, crystal clear water, rooms with southwesterly vistas and gorgeous sunsets... like a number of other resorts in the area. What we found that set The Reefs apart was the treatment we received from pickup to departure. Every member of the staff took pride in ownership, although I doubt many of them were owners, and treated us like we were long lost relatives to be pampered, many needs anticipated, those that weren't eagerly and pleasantly tended to. Lena Mae the maitre'd at Aqua Terra was the epitomy of old school Bermudian grace, manners and attentiveness. Chris the dining room supervisor went out of his to tend to my wife's sprained ankle when she fell. My memory fails when trying to remember every name of the staff that deserved to be recognized.
Bermuda is home to many fine venues; what sets The Reefs apart is the quality and consistency of service.

We used to stay at the Reefs every year starting in the late 1980s, but with a growing family we had not returned since the mid 2000s. When we booked our reservation we wondered if the hotel would still be as special as we had remembered. Then, hurricane Ernesto struck two days before we were scheduled to arrive. We were so concerned for everyone in Bermuda and thought would have to reschedule our visit. But the country quickly recovered from a direct hit, and the staff at the Reefs kept us informed of conditions in Bermuda and at the hotel. When we arrived, everything was as we had remembered, if not better, despite some ongoing cleanup. We stayed in a poolside room with a stunning view of the ocean. The staff at the Reefs are the secret sauce for this resort and seemed to be able to anticipate our needs before we said anything. The beach is as lovely as ever, and while the sea was a bit turbulent after the hurricane, we saw lots of parrot fish and other types of fish right off the beach. Coconuts restaurant continues to be a wonderful spot for a casual lunch or special dinner. We also had dinner two nights at Aqua Terra. The food was excellent at both restaurants, although the service at Aqua Terra was more inconsistent than at Coconuts. Yes there are a lot of steps to get to the beach, and walking back uphill at the end of a hot day can be a bit tiring. But just take it slow and ask for help from the staff. Being up so high over the ocean means one has stunning views all over the resort. The nearby rail trail is a good place to for a run, and Gibbs Lighthouse is a lovely walk with amazing views of Bermuda.

This was our 5th visit to The Reefs. The resort is like heaven on Earth to us. The views are incredible and we have never had views like this anywhere else in the world. The infinity pool is clear and breathtaking. The rooms are simple, and very clean with extremely comfortable beds and pillows. My only complaint would be that the floor of the shower needs to be replaced. Food was very good, especially breakfast off the menu and dinner at Coconuts. The Thursday night beach BBQ was awesome! The private beach is amazing and they clean it everyday with a John Deere tractor! The staff is amazing and accommodating and a special shout out to Lena Mae (43 years working at The Reefs) and Jordan at the front desk who was so polite and friendly every time we saw her. I highly recommend eating at The Fourways Inn, a culinary delight with the best soufflés ever! Thank you again to everyone, and we hope you all did well during Hurricane Ernesto. We will most definitely be back.
