Simpson Bay Resort Marina & Spa

Our first trip and we will be back. We stayed at the Marina building. We were on the third floor. Great views of the boats . We enjoyed the enclosed balcony/sun porch area. Room was spacious and clean. Very quiet. The second bathroom was a plus! Pleasantly surprised with the food options. Enjoyed La Patrona the most. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Miss Anita (dinner) and Miss Kayla (breakfast) were excellent. The beach was gorgeous and clean. Never fought for a ‘spot’. It was not busy at the resort at all. Older crowd but family friendly. We did not want to be surrounded by kids and loud families and we were not :) We ventured out to eat and explore and felt very safe! Do the Aqua Mania Adventure Santino tour!

My husband and I have been coming to Simpson Bay for over 3 decades. We have always enjoyed our time here and when we both retired 7 years ago we extended our 1 week vacation to a month. There are many reasons we have made this our winter getaway, the weather, the resort and the wonderful staff. We enjoy spending our days on the beach and have always been well taken care of by the beach staff. One of the staff who really stands out is Maylin at the Beach Bar. She cannot do enough to make sure the guests are well taken care of. She is attentive to our needs and goes out of her way to make our time fun and enjoyable. She is a real treasure and we have enjoyed our time with her. You are fortunate to have a dedicated professional like her and it is people like her that keeps us coming back every year. Stayed for a week and would definitely recommend! Great location for getting around to the different parts of the island - either by rental car or taxi. Wonderful pools, nice beach, and wonderful staff. Lots of dining options on site if you don’t want to book while on vacation. Also lots of nearby options off-site that are an easy walk. Safe and secure, with great on-site parking and a small grocery store on the property, with two other, bigger grocery stores an easy walk from the resort. Gorgeous sunset views and lots of sun and shade - whatever your preference!

This resort was clean, easily accesible with lots of dining options. We were a little further from the beach than I was expecting but there were pools everywhere either bars! The room was immaculate with no musty smell. The Murphy bed was great but it ended up being open 24/7 so there wasn’t really a place to sit. My only feed back is slippery when wet. It rains quickly and frequently and the tile is like Ice. Both my daughter and I slipped. My knees are still bruised a week later!

I was looking forward to a relaxing trip on the beach all day and nice restaurants at night, I was not expecting the amazing time I would have with the staff at the Simpson Bay resort, who were absolutely amazing, they made you feel right at home all day long. Maylelin and Ziggy made us feel like family and I will miss them when I return home. The food was great, the sea was gorgeous and refreshing and the wide variety of different restaurants nearby were not disappointing… The whole week we had delicious meals and drinks as well as relaxing. . I will visit again just to see my new friends.xoxox

From check-in to check-out, a positive experience. Our stay was 2 weeks, already booked next year for 3 weeks and 3 days (so not departing on a Saturday, avoiding crowds at airport). Stayed in Flamboyant Building, beachfront. Condo was immaculate, supplied with everything needed, cookware, dishes, glassware, coffee maker, extra towels in MBR closet. Housekeeping services were excellent, bed made and fresh towels daily, including kitchen floor swept and mopped. Never a problem getting loungers and umbrella on the beach or pool area, all attendants were extremely polite and helpful. Restaurants: La Patrona Mexican was our favorite, just our personal opinion, food, service, drinks were great, including daily breakfast buffet. Also had option to order off the menu. Replay Sports Bar, great service and food, including sushi! Bovine Steakhouse, lovely ambience, more upscale, beautiful setting. Food was very good, however, steaks seemed thinner and not up to usual standards but found that true in other dining venues as well. Isola Italian was very good, husband had the pasta bolognese which he enjoyed. I had the veal chop; it was ok, a bit too thin and slightly fatty for my taste. Service was excellent. Restaurants are lined up along the marina side, views are incredible, adding to the already wonderful dining experience. (Except Isola, which is up the street next to the casino, still has a partial ocean view). Every single employee we passed daily greeted us with a smile and asked how our stay was, all were very pleasant and polite. Shout out to Laura, the pool bartender, for great drinks and always greeting me by name. Also to Ziggy the beach bartender and Maelin, the best beach server. So all in all this resort is 5 star in all categories, our home away from home, walkable to many great restaurants, and the fun Buccaneer Beach Bar. Service was exceptional especially at the Coco beach bar . There is a beach service person named Maylyin who is amazing . She is attentive and personal and kind. Her welcoming approach to every guest on the beach makes you feel wanted and appreciated. She makes our day each and everyday we are at Simpson Bay . She is a big part of why we return each year . A big thank you to her !!!
