I have been to many resorts in Mauritius and Shandrani remains a favourite… The food is great, 10/10 Service was overall great with the exception of 1 or 2 waitors at the Buffet, i recommend eating at the restaurants rather than the buffet, 8/10 Snorkeling is great, 10/10 I recommend...

I have been to many resorts in Mauritius and Shandrani remains a favourite… The food is great, 10/10 Service was overall great with the exception of 1 or 2 waitors at the Buffet, i recommend eating at the restaurants rather than the buffet, 8/10 Snorkeling is great, 10/10 I recommend doing the speed boat, great experience, 10/10 Best 4 star resort on the island…🌴👍🏻

Plenty of reviews to go by so I won't repeat a lot of all the good things about this hotel. We stayed for 9 nights at a very hot period. Ideal I think for families - great snorkelling and boat house is brilliant at organising sports- free water ski lessons...

Plenty of reviews to go by so I won't repeat a lot of all the good things about this hotel. We stayed for 9 nights at a very hot period. Ideal I think for families - great snorkelling and boat house is brilliant at organising sports- free water ski lessons too. We stayed near the boat house and though it a good location close to restaurants and pool. This is a big resort so if you have mobility problems ask to be near the main reception and pool. Two tides a day and 2 feet tides makes the lagoons very shallow and very warm water. There is a 'wild beach' where the water is not so calm as there is a break in the reef which influences the shoreline there, good for some waves and deep. Very quiet there. The lagoons I think are great for children with lots of water sports available, paddle boats, paddle boards etc. Could do with a few more beach showers. It was very hot when we were there but the air con in our room was excellent. Our room steward was really lovely and fitted in with our routine, always wanting to please & nothing was too much trouble. Shout out here for VINOUD! Room was a little tired but very comfortable bed and pillows and a great balcony where we saw fruit bats eating mango right outside. The buffet restaurant is big and quite busy earlier times. The food varies daily on a weekly basis and we found all meals there excellent. Big shout out for maitre DESIRE - he made each evening we ate there very special and we were amazed how he always had our rose wine and table ready in a few minutes - despite how busy it is he made us feel so welcome & special. We did eat at the Valentine dinner special menu which was delicious- yes a supplement but well worth it. For breakfast we ate in the smaller buffet (Italian in the evening) which worked well for us. Good to be so close to the airport with little disturbance from flights. This was our 4th stay in Mauritius and first at this Beachcomber hotel. We do like the Beachcomber Trou aux Biches as well. Slightly more personal with very mature gardens, but along the same theme. The Mauritiuan people are so very friendly and so welcoming we will be back.

We came for our honeymoon and the hotel planned our dinners and we had wonderful experiences. The activities at the hotel are amazing. The view of the sea from the room was very nice. We enjoyed the food, the service and the pool. Definitely coming back!

Stayed at Shabdrani, and everything was amazing. A special shout out to our room Stewart Nanda who made our stay extra special. Always ensuring we have everything we need. Kept our room clean and always made sure we had clean towels and fresh water

Great resort, a lot of effort thought goes into running this resort. Lovely resort with great people running it. It was a lovely experience. The thought bit is like when it rained there was a rain schedule, if you go out for the day a picnic was available, as the distance from one end of the resort to the other was far but there was a buggy available to transport you, there is free parking, a hobbie cat was free to use, glass bottom boat to view the reef and on and on. Great stuff

We were fortunate to have 4 fantastic nights at The Shandrani. The location was ideal for a short stay, situated just 10 minutes from the airport. This does mean that the planes take off directly over the resort which may be an issue for some. For my husband who loves all things connected to flight this just added to his holiday and it certainly didn't cause me any issues. Shandrani has 4 different beaches varying from the wild side to secluded bays with plenty of snorkelling areas offering hundreds of different fish. As well as plenty of activities which are available all day from sailing to kayaking and water skiing. The pool areas are also lovely and ideal for families. The different restaurants were to a very high standard. We especially enjoyed the Italian and the Thai restaurants. Our room was excellent, situated on the ground floor with a terrace overlooking the bay. It was immaculate and very comfortable. Laval our room valet couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, always on hand if we needed something. As others have already said before, the staff were all wonderful and couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. As well as mentioning Laval we would also like to name Anastazia was so kind to us when we visited the Blue Bay bar for an evening drink or a cold drink and a sandwich at lunchtime. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Excellent honeymoon destination! Genuine peace of paradise. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Facilities are excellent and the staff is very friendly, always willing to help. The food was also of top quality. Would highly recommend.

The staff for the water activities were patient and informative and water skiing is a must try! The barmen Vishnoo and Bryan had some very good mixes! Ravi and Giselle (I think) offered some top class service in the restaurants. The comfort of the bedroom was equal to the quality of the different restaurants and bars. Overall, one of our most enjoyable hotel experiences. Highly recommended.

Our last Day at This fantastic resort. We have read some of the previous reviews , But for me the moment you check in to the end of your holiday the staff can not do enough to make you feel welcome . Ok you may have some issues wherever you stay , but the staff here with there welcoming smiles and can do attitudes make you forget all about the issues you may have had !!! Can not fault the restaurants the food has been amazing .. For me I'm not a great buffet person so will try to get booked into the al a carte restaurants but the food in the buffet i can not fault . I did use the buffet a couple of times but like I said not a fan of buffet & the hassle that goes with it . Aside from the buffet hussle , the food was excellent and the speciality nights are well worth the extra ... Would like to say a massive thank you to some people who stood out for me and made the holiday , these people in my mind are a credit to beachcomber resorts not saying that any of the other staff are not .........but these people really stood out to my wife & I .. Firstly in guest relations thank you to Zina so much for your time & understanding. Blue bay bar .... especially Viraj & Anastazia absolutely outstanding with there attention to detail and not leaving you without a drink ..Amazing..... Ponte Vecchio Restaurant a massive thank you to Sunjay , Ruddy & Barbara who made every visit to this restaurant or la Boucaniee restaurant a very special occasion... We have been coming here since 2004 and it is consistently excellent - a large, sprawling resort with all the amenities you would expect to find. We are always All Inclusive, sometimes All Inclusive Plus, both of which are good value for money. Food is excellent in all of the restaurants- buffet and a la carte - and the professionalism, friendliness and service provided by staff is first class. We have recommended the resort to others who have also found it to be as we have found it. We feel very much at home here and while all of the staff are excellent, we would specifically mention Girish, Dennis, Ved, Sanjay, Annup, Deseo, Rajiv, Vannesan, Kendy, Raj, Rishdi, Ashok, Guillame, Vinesh, Patrick, and the ladies in the well stocked Beachcomber boutique.
