Caveat, this was our first time in Bermuda and so we had no prior experience with other hotel/resort/etc but my wife and i (both in our late 30s) were really happy with our decision to stay at Pompano beach club. Not sure if it was because we were here during the off-season, but we practically had the entire resort to ourselves and we thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay and would undoubtedly return in the future.
Likes:
- awesome views (especially sunsets) from anywhere including our room (believe all rooms have balcony with ocean and sunset view)
- secluded (40 min from airport with no traffic)
- friendly staffs
- complimentary shuttle service to get around the resort and anywhere within a 5 miles radius of the resort
- dining (9/10). Gave an extra point for the meal plans. Pretty sure there isn’t a better value out there for the quantity and quality we were getting
- car/motorbike/bicycle rental located on property
Dislikes:
- our room was slightly dated and showerhead pressure was moderate at best. That said, the room was well stocked with essentials and we never had to request for anything
Note, although it was not a problem for us, but if you hate doing a lot of walking, climbing hills or stairs then this resort is definitely not for you! That being said, you can request for assistance in getting around and the staffs are more than happy to drive you there, if possible.

My husband and I recently spent a week at Pompano Beach Club, where we enjoyed the warm hospitality and service of owner Tom Lamb and his staff, comfortable accommodations, beautiful views, and, most of all, delicious meals prepared by an inventive chef. Along with other bridge players, I competed in the Bermuda Regional tournament, which took place at the Hamilton Princess. Instead of hiring a van each day to go to and from Hamilton, Tom suggested that we travel by the commuter ferry. He, his staff members, or a cab driver would drive us to and from the ferry landing. What a delightful ride we enjoyed on the ferry with other bridge players and local people going to work! Because of the modified American meal plan, we were well fed at breakfast and, and we enjoyed a varied menu of wonderful appetizers, salads, entrées, and desserts at the end of each day. We give very high marks to this resort!

Foremost, we will be returning without question! Everyone was so accommodating and friendly! Loved the vibe! This is not a luxe resort, but it's not a luxe resort price tag either. The resort shows its age, but the room was very comfortable with stunning views! However, the luxury came in the customer service and attention to making sure we had a great experience! The location and views were unbelievable! Going to sleep and waking up to the sounds of waves crashing was the best! The meal plan made things easy and was a great value! We actually went fishing and caught a few fish in which the chef prepared for us for lunch- delicious! The only reason that this review didn't get a 5 star- the BIRDS! I had been warned about the birds prior to arriving, but I still was not prepared. I get it, they can't keep the birds out- they have tried... However, someone must be dedicated to keeping the droppings cleaned up. Every single meal the chairs were never cleaned. The back of the chair had bird poo or remnants of poo every single day. Every morning we watched the birds drinking out of the creamer on the tables and/or eating food off the tables. One day we saw bird poo on a server's shirt collar! There were bird droppings on the chairs in the lobby, as well. The bird situation was GROSS! And the biggest turnoff for us. Would it prevent us from returning, never, but you have to keep the area clean from these stupid birds and this was neglected. The owner, Tom, went out of his way to make us feel valued! The entire staff always so helpful! They educated us on things to do and how to utilize the bus line, which we traveled the entire island via bus. Everyday we explored something different. Lots to see! We had a great vacation and can't wait to return! Thanks for everything, Pompano! (Get some cats or maybe a trained hawk! <3)

The resort is beautiful. The beach is very nice, the meal plan is good and the pool area is functional. There are 2 reasons for the 4 stars......the place needs a slight makeover. Lastly, the restaurant pre cooks dinner in order to turn tables, so every dinner is 1 hour at most. This is not how we usually eat and our last night I got fried calamari literally 3 minutes after ordering and my wife and I ordered medium well and medium rare tenderloin and both got medium. I think for Bermuda it is a good deal, but when paying 800 a night w taxes and service charges, you should not be rushed at dinner. The people here are the nicest and most service oriented we have ever seen.....the owners take their responsibility seriously and it is a friendly place to stay. With just a few tweaks it would be 5 stars, no doubt. We would stay again if we decided to return to Bermuda.......

I can’t say enough amazing things about Pompano Beach Club. The location is absolutely perfect. You are on top of the most crystal clear waters and see the most amazing aqua, teal, and blue water. The beach at low tide is walkable for what seems like forever. There are NO waves and you can truly, truly relax. They have wonderful rafts that I would just float around on out on an empty and calm sea for hours. The sunsets are perfection. Kyro at the beach bar is the absolute best- a super kind young guy who makes sure everything is just right. The owners and the rest of the staff are absolutely lovely as well, from those providing food and drink service, to behind the front desk, the chefs and more! The meal plan is amazing- breakfast and dinner included. The dinners were impressively good for what you are paying- it really is a 5 course meal. One restaurant has a set menu and the other changes nightly. They are super smart and switch up breakfast between table service and buffet service, keeping it from getting boring. Monday night swizzle party and bbq was so fun and yummy! You pay your own way if you want lunch and drinks, but prices were reasonable. They charge everything to your room (no need for a wallet at the hotel) and add a gratuity, and our final bill was way way less than we anticipated! Like, impressively so. The bartenders pour a heavy drink and you definitely get your money’s worth. They have free a shuttle to a few common locations or they can call you a cab. They can also connect you with a super reliable transport company to/from the airport (CEO). The hotel guests are predominantly older folx and just a handful of families. But this makes it perfect as the beach isn’t crowded and overrun with an endless spread of chairs and umbrellas. It’s quiet and serene. The online pictures are really what it looks like! The only (and I do mean only) downside is that there isn’t music throughout the resort. Not even at dinner or breakfast. Just a little lobby and dining area music would make it total perfection. But everything else is perfect and so this really is not a complaint. The deluxe room was so worth it for the spectacular views of the ocean and sunsets. I spent more time out there than in the room. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for a calm, quiet paradise with plenty of food and great hospitality. If you’re young and want lively parties and dance clubs, come back in 10 years! We celebrated a 40th birthday and it was the absolute best location for the occasion.

We have been staying at a place that rhymes with baimbridge eaches over the last 50 years but said place no longer offers the relaxed atmosphere it once did. So we ventured to PBC. Food, beach, room were fantastic and met nice people . Great and concerned management. Very sandy beach - what one goes to Bermuda for. The stairs are a real challenge. Pick your room carefully. Closer to the water equals more climbing.

Anyone going to Bermuda MUST stay at the Pompano Beach Club. The owners, Tom and Larry, did everything in their power to accommodate us. The food was wonderful, as was the service of everyone who worked there. There are views of the water from every room. You may eat inside with a wonderful view or outside on the porch. We met several guests who return every year because of the wonderful experience there. My husband golfed on the course which was next to the property overlooking the water. We were interested in seeing other parts of the island. Someone from the hotel drove up to the bus stop and picked us up when we returned. I am already looking forward to my return next year.
