This was one of the best retorts I’ve stayed at in Mexico. We stayed on the adults only section but took advantage of the family side as well. The beach at this resort is ok, but unfortunately mostly covered with sargasso. Pools are fine. The rooms are dated, poorly planned, and ours had some humidity issues. I suspect this resort is in line for a major renovation. We stayed as preferred which gave us good access to everything. One major pool is very tranquil and the other major is much more active with fun afternoon games . No problem getting a pool chair. We found staff to be friendly and mostly accommodating. Drinks were freely available, including top tier whiskies. The vibe is mostly relaxing for adults and good. Entertainment was good, not excellent. (We noticed few people used their swim up room option, so question the upgrade value). The sister (family) hotel is huge and has better restaurants and a better beach, which guests of the adult resort can freely access, in a 15 minute walk or on regular hotel transport ( every 20 minutes). Those in the sister hotel don’t have reciprocal access).behemoth you walk out from shore, there are rocks that make walking potentially toe stubbing). The steak restaurant in the adult hotel is awesome, the others are just ok. We had no problem getting into any of the Al-a -carts. Buffet in the sister resort we found much better. One of three sister hotels was under renovation and could be a good future choice when it opens? One downside, one couple told us they had serious humidity and mold issues in their room and had difficulty getting another (even though they told staff they had allergies) . Our leaving bus was early morning and because of staff and nenu changes, we did have problems getting in room breakfast, as there was no menu flexibility. I give it a low 4 Star, but could easlily give it a 3.5 considering the worn/ dated rooms and sargasso beach situation. However, access to the sister hotel made a big difference to us. As a warning to the less travelled: While at the sister hotel, we were curious about the rooms and innocently asked a staff member if was possible to see a room for future family consideration. This request quickly morphed into a “time share” session, with only a brief room visit- which we didn’t envision nor enjoy. “Live and learn”, is an appropriate future term for us. :)

Staff here have been amazing, they are so friendly and will ensure your stay here in Mexico is comfortable as possible. The food is good and the hostess, waiters and bar tenders have great personalities. Where do I start ? The staff is absolutely amazing .Big shout out to Javier the bell man . What a gem of a human he is . Also all the bellman . Always made sure if I was walking to my room late they would drive me to make sure I was safe Can’t thank them enough.. always a hello and made sure my son and I felt at ease . Entertainment team .. Luna and Chris Mr Hollywood and the 5 of them were the best . I have travelled to many all-inclusive resorts, many different islands and this by far was the best entertainment team I have ever seen. They ran games with without any issues always on time always got people involved. They need to be recognized for their hard work and their commitment to guess to have a good time. The owners of platinum should be very proud of the entertainment team by far. The best I have ever seen at an all-inclusive resort hats off to them my son who is 22 had a blast every single day. They all deserve a raise and recognition for a job well done. Raul Mali Johnathan ramse Raul Amazing hardworking crew The food was amazing and to die for we did the Brazilian steakhouse twice did the rodeo grill à la carte amazing did the Italian, which was good the buffet was not repetitive the grill stations and the omelet stations were great. They never ran out of food. I never had an issue with cold food. Pool bar the people that work at the pool bar were amazing and we always had our drinks The rooms were beautiful. We had a deluxe junior suite deluxe at the building closest to the pool room 2128 and it was clean. The rooms were always cleaned by the time we came back from breakfast. I would definitely recommend this resort. We had nothing but positive to say we had no hiccoughs whatsoever as usual you do when you are on vacation, but we had not one issue at all. The beach we couldn’t use because of the problems with seaweed they were working at cleaning it up, but it was lost cause it was coming in as fast as they were trying to clean it up. Mother nature was to blame for that. I would definitely return to this resort as the staff their work above and beyond there was absolutely no complaints. We went a couple of times to the sunset for their sports bar, which was good and their nightclub, but that resort didn’t have the same vibe as the platinum. If you wanna put a great experience come to this resort everyone is amazing there. I cannot wait to return one day.
