I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with our recent stay at Princess Yucatan, where we had hoped to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with our recent stay at Princess Yucatan, where we had hoped to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, we were greeted with lackluster service. After checking in, our friends were forced to change rooms due to a pervasive moldy smell in their accommodation. To our dismay, our own room had an odd odor as well, which is unacceptable for any resort, let alone one in such a popular destination. As frequent travelers to the Cancun area and Cabo multiple times a year, we were disappointed with the standard of this resort. If you happen to be hungry between 2 PM and 5 PM, be prepared for a struggle, as the only options available were so-called "snacks," with no real poolside service. This is not what we expect from a resort of this caliber. To top it all off, I had the unfortunate experience of discovering that housekeeping had gone through my luggage and stolen a gold rope necklace that held significant sentimental value to me. This breach of trust is simply unacceptable and has left a sour taste in my mouth regarding our stay. Overall, I can confidently say that I will not be returning to Princess Yucatan in the future. I expected much more from this resort and was left feeling frustrated and disappointed.

We are repeat guests at Platinum Yucatan Princess, and the staff , the food, the spa, entertainment all outstanding! Special thanks go out to Adolfo, Israel, Christian, Brian, Lizbeth, Abby and so many others who always make our stay A-1 !!

My wife and I had our best holiday ever together here at Yucatan Princess. The resort is beautiful and in great condition. For us definitely met expectations based on photos. We were in building one which is the furthest away from the lobby. And beach. Very close to the main pool which we liked. Loved the food. We ate at the buffet a lot over our two weeks here. The food was fantastic and we liked that the theme changed for the dinners. We ate at the Italian which was good and ate at Rodeo one night for my birthday which was very romantic. We had a bird cage table which was beautiful. You’ll understand what the bird cages are when you get here. Can’t miss them. We ate at the Skylights restaurant for Valentine’s Day. This is a pay restaurant and was so worth it. Beautiful views and great service. We loved the beach area. Not a big beach and half of the time the water was too rough but we don’t mind that. The shows were awesome. Saw almost all of them and in two weeks saw some of them twice. Our favourites were the Mexican night and Michael Jackson. The dancers are sooo good. Top notch entertainment in the teatro. For the staff, we have to make mention of: Entertainment staff: Betto, Johnny, Mar, Ivan, and Gordon Ramsay made our entire vacation. They work so hard all day every day. I honour them. I consider Betto my brother now. Bar staff: Elisa, Catalina, Leddy, Jose, Leopoldo, you are all amazing and so are your colleagues. I can’t remember everyone’s name. Beach, pool, plaza bar. They also work so hard. Reception: Emmanuel, Jorge, and especially Lina. So helpful every time. Room staff: I am so sorry I didn’t get the names because they are the unsung hero’s. They need to be honoured because our room was always so well taken care of and they treated us so nicely. Overall this is the best resort we have been to in Mexico. And we have been to so many over the past 35 years. All over Mexico. We will be coming back for sure. One tiny thing, not sure why our room key needed to be re programmed 5 times during our stay. We were so careful with the keys to ensure they didn’t come near phones or anything. Minor but one evening at midnight was a bit of a pain. Gilakas’la to everyone. Can’t wait to see you all again. Kevin and Dottie

We stayed at the Hotel in January 2024 for our honeymoon and had a fantastic 2 weeks, The hotel is beautiful and the staff were brilliant, They could not do more for you, The many places to eat gave you plenty choice but we enjoyed the buffet most of the time as there was always plenty selection. We then went back in January 2025 to celebrate our first anniversary and it was still as good, The staff once again were superb and the hotel was just as it was ladt year brilliant. A special mention to Israel the Bell Boy who remembered us and welcomed us like long lost friends. His attention to detail and friendly approach is exactly what you want on arrival and departure, We will see you in 2026.

Plus 222 That is the normal temp in my house during the day so i don’t consider that AC. They r set and cannot be adjusted. Our room was a consistent 23.5 and even got to 24.5. After our 3rd time complaining they finally gave us a fan after we offered to pay someone to drive to walmart and buy us one . 3 times they came to our room saying it was fixed but it was never fixed. We nearly melted and at night it was worse And we were surprised to see that there were no ceiling fans to help relieve us from the heat. As an adult only it would be nice to be able to control our own temperature. The coffee maker needs updating. Its an old fashioned maker with 1 coffee cup.Come on Get with the times No towels available at the beach or pool. If u dont get one in your room then its too bad. Again this is adults only. Give us a break. There is no possibility that i would want to take any of your well used towels home We had a swim up room but barely used it because the white plastic chairs were so uncomfortable. Im sure they r effective because they r plastic but they r made for someone who is 3 feet tall. If you sit down good luck with getting back out. We stole cushions to make it a little bearable but that lasted a day. Even all the seating at the lobby and the bars were so low that you couldn’t sit The room service is terrible. Oh my. I laughed when i saw hot dogs. Again for adult only. It appears the menu and the seating is designed for children. We were here for 2 weeks and we were more than ready to leave to get a good nights sleep. The phone was continuously ringing. I brought a bunch of give aways and even when i wrote notes saying i gave the staff gifts they still called. Our afternoon nap was always disrupted The prices for the spa are outrageous. We normally like to do spa treatments but not this visit. Thankful for the new converter on the calculator of the iphone to help covert the prices. 289.00 CA for a 50 mins massage is a bit much Beautiful weather. Beautiful beach. Beautiful workers. Too bad we couldn’t get a good sleep due to AC not working

Almost willing to return. Communications should be handled via tv channel or some other easily updated and mass distributed manner). Beach Towels were not easy to come by. Staff were very pleasant. The lead pool bartender is amazing at his job!

We only managed to catch two but they were super entertaining and well choreographed. We definitely didn’t want to leave. Already wishing we could plan a return trip. Definitely going back in the future.

This was our first time staying here and let me say my 1st three impressions were Enrique, as we exited our airport shuttle, Cynthia who checked us in and my favorite, Amaury who showed us to our room. And this is just the employees. On a daily basis, the PYP was being cared for, and it shows. The resort grounds are beautiful, our room was amazing (but needs a deep/detailed clean #4029), and the surrounding areas are spectacular. The food at the restaurants we did try was good, and the buffet was so-so with a different theme daily, but room service(24hrs) could definitely use help. We tried this once and yeah, like I said, once. The food and atmosphere at the beach club was great. Chicken wings, burgers, dogs, ribs etc. and the best view of the Carribean Sea. Just don't feed the animals, as the signs say! We had a swimout which was great. The pools were always being cleaned, however only 2 of the 7 days we stayed did we get a waitress come down by us for drinks. We also, being social ppl, met most of our neighbors down the building (bld 4000) and had some great times hanging out together in our swimout and around the resort. The room floors are beautiful but be careful when they get wet (swimout), they become very slick. I had to put down towels to prevent us from falling. Also, the room could use a good deep clean. The sofa bed was dirty and rusty, and signs of mildew in the shower area. The entertainment at PYP was daily, and throughout the day. From activities at the pool, to live entertainment around the resort. They also had a big Superbowl party in the theatre! The beach was close and bigger than a lot of ppl say on their reviews. I walked up and down and there are lots of places to sit with shade. Now remember, this is the Riviera Maya and the waters are rocky off shore. It's great for snorkeling, and there is a more sandy place for swimming by the sister resort which you're allowed to be at. Also, do walk and explore the grounds. This place is gorgeous! There is a jungle walk with trails by the sports park. And the sports park itself offers something to you that you wouldn't have even though about doing while here. The Cenote that is within the resort was a nice surprise as well. Thanks again to Amaury(even though he's a Raiders fan), Enrique, Cynthia, Manuel(lobby bar), Leo(swim-up bar), oh and I can't forget Janeth at Le Brushetta for perfect service! Thank you all for a great stay at your resort and in your country!

We could not make reservations. You will be waiting on average 1 hour. This is a resort policy. On top of that, if you choose to eat outside, plan on eating with an American raccoon running around. It was frightening, and disgusting!

The spa massage with Diana and isabel with my wife and I had a very good time. Soft massage for my wife and deep tissue massage for my self!!! They were both amazing and professional too!!! If I could get them all the time I would definitely recommend them

My boyfriend and I went for 8 days at the beginning of March, the weather was perfect, the resort was beautiful. The staff go above and beyond to make your trip memorable. "Speedy" Benedicto, Salatiel, Mar, Gordon Ramsay, Luna, Enrique, Jeremias, Luna, Joni, Cristian, Israel, Gerameel, and Brian are just a few that made our trip extra special. This was our second trip to Princess and it makes it hard to even think of going anywhere else!! The beach has a little bit of seaweed but the staff are out there every single day doing their best to keep it clean. Please keep your amazing staff, that's the reason we keep coming back!

Review of Premium Princess Yucatán – A Total Disappointment Unfortunately, our experience at Premium Princess Yucatán was disastrous. We had booked a 10-day stay but decided to leave after only four days due to the poor quality of service in almost every aspect. To begin with, the cleanliness of our room at check-in was unacceptable. Fortunately, we were given an upgrade, but that shouldn’t have been necessary if the basic hygiene standards had been met from the start. The spa was a complete joke: a service that was supposed to last 15 minutes dragged on for an hour and a half and was left unfinished. The Japanese restaurant had only three sushi options, which was disappointing for a hotel of this category. Communication with the concierge was chaotic. First, they confirmed that renting a car through the hotel was possible, then they said it wasn’t, and finally, an assistant manager told us that it was a standard service. Housekeeping was also unreliable: we requested towels and a minibar refill, but instead, they brought us two pillows… a day later. The staff, except for the bellboys, provided terrible service, especially at the pools, concierge, and reception. The overall impression was one of disorganization and a lack of interest in the guest experience. We definitely do not recommend this hotel and wouldn’t return even if we were invited.
