Simply stunning Wow, what an incredible resort! We have just returned from 5 nights, it was such a treat to be there. My first time in the Maldives, I had never seen such beautiful ocean. Our room was stilted over the sea, spacious, sparkling, and so thoughtfully designed. The make-up station which housed a mirror, hairdryer etc. was such a nice touch, made getting ready so easy having everything in one spot. Waking up to that view of the ocean was unforgettable. The restaurants were varied, and like others I agree that the Japanese was truly stand out! Uber cool and incredible food. We’d also like to experience the Teppanyaki next time! Amazing spot for sun set cocktails too. It’s a big island so you do need to call for a buggy but it never takes more than 5 minutes for them to appear. Bikes available but a bit hot for us! The beach club had a nice menu, my chicken wrap (just ok to be honest - I don’t think the tzatziki worked) and very expensive for just ok), the chips were perfect however. The atmosphere felt a little pretentious - but that’s not the fault of the resort. It clearly attracts quite a lot of a certain sort of people. Once I’d gotten over that I really enjoyed my time there. We spent most of our days in our villa enjoying peace, tranquility and gentle sounds of the ocean, no big waves where we were, perfect for swimming. Breakfast was impressive! Great buffet and a la carte, the resort Manager feels very present, chats to people daily, we met her 3 times in 5 days. That’s quite unusual and welcome. Some of the silly comments I’ve read in other reviews come across as spoilt and slightly ridiculous to me - winging about the coffee (which was lovely) and the bikes (you don’t have to use them), and the sand (not soft enough and the island too man-made) honestly! The place is not far off perfection …snd I haven’t even mentioned the spa! Wow, world class, incredible treatments. The facilities available - regardless of whether you have booked a treatment were excellent - had it all to myself the afternoon I visited - a shame that they separate men and women though, I would have preferred to share the experience with my husband rather than alone. I feel so lucky to have spent time at Reethi Rah, and hope to return one day. Amazing staff!!(especially Rishi) Well done to you all :) Many of the staff have been here for 15/20 years which says a lot! They seem genuinely happy and from what they described are looked after very well, which I loved to hear. Thanks again, fabulous!

The One & Only Reethi Rah is undoubtedly one of the most luxurious resorts I have had the pleasure of staying at in the Maldives, offering a serene and breathtakingly beautiful environment. The resort's stunning architecture seamlessly blends with the natural surroundings, creating an idyllic escape. My experience, particularly in a water villa, was exceptional — it offered unparalleled privacy and comfort, with crystal-clear waters right at my doorstep. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with attentive staff providing impeccable service at every turn. The range of activities and amenities, including the world-class spa, made my stay even more memorable. I also had the privilege of indulging in exquisite, gourmet cuisine at the resort's restaurants, each offering a unique dining experience. Every detail of my stay was thoughtfully crafted, ensuring an unforgettable experience. I am already looking forward to returning in the near future!

We had the best week of our life, it was so surreal from the food to the scenary. We will definitely be back. The resort was so clean and the nature was incredible. Loved every minute of the trip and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Maldives

Fabulous place. Superb variety of food which was consistently excellent throughout. Fabulous service which reflects on excellent management where all staff seemed happy . Look forward to returning it really is a great place and with all the planned improvements can only get better.

One of the best experiences in my life😍 It was my 4th time in Maldives and I can say that it’s the best hotel to stay in. Island is very big and you can’t get bored there. Many activities. But first of all beautiful beaches, warm ocean and hot sun! What else you need to be happy?😊 Of course food. There are a few different restaurants for any taste. I personally enjoyed teppanyaki! If you want to relax fully try their spa. Won’t be disappointed. I wanna go back because it’s super cold outside in my city😩

By way of reference, my wife and I travel extensively for work and pleasure so our standards are Aman quality high...... First the good The villas are of older classic construction, but meticulously maintained - some of the largest villas on the islands... with a gigantic WOW in terms of space, design, thoughtful touches... all necessary electronics.... these might be our favorite villas of anywhere we have stayed... also located in a manner which provides privacy.... and views of the ocean rather than other villas..... unlike much of the Maldives where the villas are adjacent and screened by walls... The ability to bike around the island was an added plus.. and we had a blast efoiling - the instructors were patient and awesome.... the island roads of sand a romantic wonderland.. The restaurants are of excellent quality food.... the breakfast buffet was top of the line... quality over quantity... yet not wanting for anything... Now the reason for the lack of five stars. 85% of the staff at the resort was perfect - service exactly as you would expect at a five star resort... But 15% of the staff seemed as if they did not want to be there.. were not responsive, and really did a poor job... this was true across the board... so some nights at the restaurants were great... other nights, we felt ignored and as if we were a bother when we asked for anything... this was true in every area... sometimes we would go for breakfast, and housekeeping had not made up the room - other times, they went above and beyond with thoughtful touches [our understanding was that the butler kept forgetting to notify them...so not their fault... Our butler, unfortunately fell into the 15% that did not want to be there.... ... and when this happens, it really takes away from the experience... so when we made special request... it was if we were asking for world... So how do you review, when you want to praise 85%of the staff, yet the ones that dragged the service down, need to step up their game. A big thank you for those amazing staff which were the majority. One other small problem was that when families were seated next to us, the kids cranked up their phones and ipads...and games and ruined the environment for all other tables... when we asked the waiters, they said there was nothing they could do about it... [perhaps it would be good to have family seating times and couples seating times.... or easier yet, just require all devices use earphones... that way the kids can enjoy and the rest of the guest are not affected....] All resorts are struggling with this issue, so this is not just a One and Only issue.

This was our 3rd visit to this stunning O&O resort and we shall definitely be returning again. The resort is so beautiful from the moment you arrive at the mooring in your luxury yacht from Male, to the villas on their own private beach and the lush greenery of the whole resort this place is paradise !!! The staff are so friendly and attentive to your needs, and always with a smile throughout they are an absolute credit to themselves and to One & Only. The food in all the restaurants is superb and set in wonderful surroundings which never fails to impress. Special mention to our host Samir (Sam) for looking after my wife and myself for the week organising restaurant reservations and trips. Top man, so personable and always presented immaculately. As always we were sad to leave, but sincerely looking forward to returning at the earliest opportunity.

The island and accommodation is perfect , the food amazing but the people are what make your time here even more enjoyable . Thank you to Nasih for looking after us so spectacularly, he is fantastic. Thank you to Maama and his team at the beach club , you are awesome . Thank you to Shasheen and Pasindu for making us laugh every night and the superb drinks . In truth every person we were lucky enough to have interacted with made our time here even more enjoyable. If you are considering booking here and wavering between this and another island then just book this place . We have been lucky enough to visit many excellent hotels in our life but this one is just the best . Thank you again to all at One & Only . We will see you again .

Location is amazing, every detail is looked after, but more importantly on top to the luxury, the overall resort atmosphere is extremely elegant and fine. What makes really the difference is the kindness and professionalism of the staff, extremely nice. We had the opportunity to meet many of the them, in various circumstances and we were always impressed by their natural kindness (in the SPA, restaurants - the staff of the Fanditha was just superb! And the chef very talented!). Special heathfelt thanks goes to Hameed and Manaal.

I am from Brazil and have traveled a lot to many countries around the world on business, but this was the best hotel I have ever stayed at! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived at the Maldives airport, with an One and Only hotel employee waiting for us and taking us to the speedboat that took us on the 45-minute comfortable journey to the island where the hotel is located. We arrived and were greeted by the General Manager of the Hotel, Jan Tibaldi, a very friendly Swiss man who lived in Brazil for 2 years and therefore speaks Portuguese perfectly! We were introduced to Alejandra Robles, who would be our hostess for the entire period we stayed at the hotel. Alejandra is a very friendly and efficient Mexican woman. She literally took care of us during the 5 days we stayed at the hotel. The best hotel employee I have ever met!!! She is wonderful!!! The island is literally magical, a unique environment! Our villa, as the rooms in the hotel are called, was excellent: comfortable, beautiful, with a unique view of the sea and the sunset, and everything worked perfectly! The sea was crystal clear, beautiful, with fish, sea turtles and sharks! Wonderful! There were several restaurant options with great food and drinks! And the staff was the best I have ever met: extremely efficient, fast, but without losing the excitement and friendliness!!! Anyway, my wife and I were at One and Only celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and it was a unique and magical trip!!! We hope to return to the Maldives one day and, if that happens, I am 200% sure that we will return to One and Only and that we will want Alejandra as our hostess again!

It is hard to put into words the experience we had at One & Only, everything was unbelievable from the moment we arrived, to the moment Ali dropped us off at our airport gate - a wonderful service given and great chats had :) The island is so luscious and stunning everywhere you look. Our vila was incredible, with the most spectacular views. Spacious and luxurious. Our host Oopvan looked after us, nothing was too much for him. The food and drinks were amazing - so delicious, no complaints at all! And the service was 10/10 every time. Since it was our honeymoon, One & Only staff made it a super special experience for us, we were blown away and in complete disbelief. The spa and gym was also incredible, we felt so pampered and relaxed during our stay. There were also complimentary activities, my husband took part in a tennis clinic and it ended up being 1:1! Snorkel gear was also complimentary. The buggy drivers were also so wonderful! We had the most amazing time here for our honeymoon and felt emotional leaving, we will certainly be back for another special occasion. We cannot share our gratification enough

Absolutely incredible resort. Third time visiting the Maldives and this place topped all our previous trips here. Every part of the island is clean, well presented, the natural environment is greatly maintained and manicured. Staff are always so helpful and friendly. The addition of the bikes to ride around the island on is a bonus. Good sized gym with a vast variety of cardio options and weights. Big thanks to our Butler who made our trip feel like a home from home and a big thanks to the dive team who calmed our nerves when on the Nurse Shark encounter experience and Underwater Ski Bob experience. This really is the ‘One&Only’ resort that feels like paradise on earth. 🤩
