We had the best time at this Beautiful resort! Wendy at the pool was the absolute best!!! All the staff here have been so wonderful. Highly recommend! The food at both restaurants is also top notch. Hospitality at its best! Weather can’t be beat either.

Had a wonderful day at the pool at buoy Haus! The view was amazing and Wendy, pool supervisor took great care of us! Highly recommend spending a chill day with this awesome group! Food and drinks were great too! 🏝️The poolside chairs saved us on a super hot day!

Shany’s service in Salt Shack was great. Food was inconsistent— great to so so. But really, the location on the beach, one would be crazy to complain… The villas on the upper floors facing the Caribbean, With their balcony views are simply amazing.

Beautiful luxury hotel. Incredible location right on the water, the sound of the waves right outside the rooms. Manicured grounds, pool, friendly staff, excellent on property food. Rooms all have patios or balconies, inside and outside fans, daily water service.

The salt shack was such a warm and inviting paradise away from our super busy weekend. This was our first time there. Shany hosted us and was absolutely amazing. She made me a fresh fruit punch from scratch and that recipe she did for me NEEDS TO BE ON THE MENU instead of the other fruit punch. Her service was excellent. The food came in a great time. Shany made us feel extremely comfortable like good friends from the past. I highly recommend Shany to take over making the fruit punch. That recipe is special! Her customer service skills were also 100 out of 10. We will definitely be back. The food was wonderful. Overall very relaxing.

This is our third stay at the Buoy Haus. We really enjoy it here. It’s beautiful hotel, beautiful beach many places to eat and enjoy the surroundings. It certainly the nicest place on St. Thomas now and you can also use the facilities at the other two surrounding Marriott properties.

We had 4 nights to get some rest and early anniversary trip and came across Buoy Haus on the Marriott site and we are glad that we gave it a try. It’s intimate and beautifully designed, we’ve stayed at a lot of nice hotels but never one that has everything positioned so close to the water, you’re literally just steps away from the beach and waves Grateful for Knema’s warm welcome and efficient check in at the front desk, and for making our anniversary trip special with a bottle of champagne. Wendy and his staff at the pool were so friendly and accommodating. The Westin (up the stairs) is a sister property where my wife enjoyed her massage at the spa and we had a sushi dinner while enjoying the sunset one night. Best dessert of the week, Donut holes w ice cream, caramel and whip cream was at Isla Blue, one of the restaurants on property Definitely looking forward to our next visit! Thanks Daryl and Cathy

Everything is stunning. The beaches, the water, the hotel team, restaurants. Just perfect. The shack restaurant is one of my favorite. Shan’t from the restaurant was very pleasant and helped us with a lot of details to make our stay the best one.

After a long day of travel, we were looking for a relaxing spot to unwind, and the Salt Shack was the perfect choice. From the moment we sat down for our late lunch, our waitress, Shany, made us feel completely at ease with her warm and attentive service. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience, even asking the bar to create a custom version of the Shades of Lavender cocktail— and it was absolutely incredible! The combination of great service, delicious drinks, and an unbeatable oceanfront setting made for a perfect meal. Thank you, Shany, for making our visit so memorable.

The resort itself was beautiful and special. Our ocean front king was fantastic. Landscaping and beach were immaculately cared for. Had an exclusive feel and never felt crowded. Food was very good but menus a bit limited. Service at the Sugar Shack was uneven, slow and haphazard most times we ate there which was daily for breakfast and a couple of lunches. Was disappointed hot tub did not work all week. Also outside showers coming off beach mostly did not work. We were very pleased with the pool and especially service provided by Wendy and his team. Housekeeping was also a bit uneven. Coffee not replaced, glasses not replaced, toilet paper not replaced. Small things but noticeable. Getting ice was annoying. Would not allow me to come get it and insisted a bellman bring to us. This took 40 minutes one day and almost an hour another day. Just annoying. Staff was generally pleasant and helpful. We did enjoy our week very much despite these annoyances. Given the cost of staying our expectations were understandably high.

The staff here are the absolute best. Shaheem and Belto at the pool were fantastic! The restraint t staff including Belinda, Mai and Shayne were super attentive. And, Jamal Pickering who helped us to our room was almost like family! Highly recommend!

Wendy, the pool supervisor was amazing! He was very personable, always checked in on us, and made sure our day was perfect! I would go back in a second and go to the pool! Additionally, the hotel manager Maria was amazing as well! She made sure our day was perfect

The hotel is nicely situated on the beach, just a stone’s throw from Charlotte Amalie. The facilities are kept clean and are nicely appointed. The staff, particularly AQuane (in the pool area) are pleasant and attentive. I am definitely returning.

We stayed at the buoy house for 10 days. We travel often and are always looking for something to stand out. The property is very nice and the staff friendly. We had a few issues upon arrival but Cordy was fast and efficient to smooth everything out. He had our room adjusted, made our dinner arrangements, gave us all the information we needed for the resort and continued to assist throughout our 10 day stay. Had he not been so attentive to our needs we would have left with a bad experience. The food is good but not fantastic and the resort is on the quiet side. Villas are quite comfortable and housekeeping is always eager to help and keep our room in great condition.

No dryer in room, took an hour to have it brought to room. Had white wine delivered to room, they were out of ice for the ice bucket. Pool area is nice, did not have pool towels. Gave us seat cushion towels. Ordered dinner, took an hour and meals were not at the same time - they cooked one at a time. Check in was so confusing; had two rooms. They were not ready, not a big deal, we had lunch and relaxed on property. They never text us when the room was ready. Then they gave us wrong rooms and key fobs. Not what I expected from Marriott autograph collection. We will stay somewhere else next time.

Loved our 7 nights stay at the Bouy Haus in St Thomas. Our room was an Ocean View (not Ocean Front) and we could hear the waves even with our doors closed. That is such a lovely sound. All we need for a perfect vacation is on property - between the Bouy Haus and the Weston. The room was great, the beach and water were phenomenal, the service on the beach was great. There are kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling gear. Just enough boat traffic going by to enjoy - not too much to ruin the serenity of being on the beach. There was never an issue being able to use beach chairs and umbrellas. We enjoyed all of the restaurants at the Bouy Haus and the food was excellent. Service was a little slow but that’s to be expected when visiting most islands. Really enjoyed the bar area at Luna Mar at the Westin. Ate there a couple of nights. All restaurants have great ocean views. Booked a catamaran trip to St John through Cruz Bay Watersports. The boat left from the dock at the Westin which was really convenient. As mentioned above, Bouy Haus offers everything we enjoy when on vacation.

My wife and I spent a week at the Buoy Haus Beach Resort St. Thomas, in April 2025. Our ocean front room was beautiful and so close to the ocean we could hear the waves breaking each night. The ocean views at the infinity Tide Pool were amazing along with the outstanding customer service we received from Dee, Belto, Wendy and Junior. They all went above and beyond in assisting us every day! We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurants at both the Buoy Haus and the adjacent Westin. Breakfast and dinner at the Salt Shack were outstanding along with the incredible ocean views. We really liked the fact that we could walk up the stairs to the Westin and utilize all their amenities. The meals we had at Luna Mar and Sugar Fin in the Westin were also great along with the amazing views. We can't wait to come back to this beautiful resort in St. Thomas.

He beautifully maintained the balance between providing and not hovering. This is what you want while relaxing and taking the beauty of the island in.

Great room, beautiful pool and lobby and great service at Salt Shack. Enjoyed a free breakfast every morning on the water. Our server Shandy was very welcoming. Isla Blue restaurant on site was one of the better restaurants we went to on the island.

The pool is so beautiful and relaxing. Open only to people staying here, it never felt crowded.

Lovely place. This is a quiet and low key villa resort and every room is no more than 50 feet from the beach. If you want a low stress, low key, and pretty high end experience, this is it. We had a nice sized room that was well appointed. Every room has a really nice sized terrace with a couch and a table as well. We had a small problem upon check in, the front desk handled it quite well. In fact, most of the staff here were quite nice with a lot of people saying “hello” whenever you passed them. Shany was a particularly great waitress. One nice thing to note is we didn’t have any problems finding chairs with an umbrella even though we were here at a busy time of the year. Another very nice thing about being next to the Westin is that between the 2 hotels, there are plenty of options to eat for all meals, and they are all pretty good.

We had a wonderful honeymoon. The property, the pool and the beaches were beautiful! Restaurants were excellent. It is a bit pricey but well worth the splurge! We visited other nearby beaches but wanted to go back to this one! The only downside were the early morning roosters

We really enjoyed this our stay here. We were a couple celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and wanted a somewhat quit stay. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast at the beachside restaurant was great. Love the villas - they are spacious and quiet. Shany, one of the waitresses in the restaurant, was lovely! There small gym that had all we needed, and you could grab bottled water there. Also, the hotel is attached to the Westin so you have access to those restaurants and the spa there, which has an adult only pool. We would definitely stay here again but probably get an ocean view to really enjoy the balcony. The garden views are just okay. A few tips: make dinner reservations at any of the hotel restaurants in advance. Also, book taxes too and from in advance as well as there aren't Ubers there.

Hotel is amazing, clean, friendly and welcoming. We had Dinner at the bar at Salt Shack. Chara was our server and was amazing, she made amazing cocktails. We will eat and drink there again. Great atmosphere. Needs more lighting, was dark at bar, couldn’t see menu.
