I came here with a friend for our annual girls trip. I have stayed at The Vine before. Also, to be fair I am a Hyatt Globalist/Black Impressions UVC member. This resort is really amazing considering its location to the airport. Very convenient. Staff is very attentive and very pleasant to work with. Food is amazing. However, I did run into a few issues with the check-in and check out process which should be smooth processes at this level. We were upgraded to the 28th floor (very nice touch and that was very much appreciated). We were assigned a concierge who told us upon check in that our room wasn’t ready and she would contact us when it was. 3 pm came and still no room. I texted her and asked when the room would be ready and she told us it was ready and to meet her, except she didn’t tell us where to meet her. I asked where should I meet you and that’s when we were told our room number. When we got to the room she asked for our luggage ticket so the bags could arrive. We waited an hour for our bags. I had to call the bellman and they promptly sent the bags up. When my guest and I went down to the pool we found our luggage ticket on the floor next to the concierge desk. The concierge had forgotten and never replied to my texts asking about the bags. We were reassigned to Bruce and he was wonderful and attentive. However, when we checked out I went to the preferred lounge as instructed and told I couldn’t check out until our bags were out of the room because the system would shut us out. I explained that I wanted to settle the bill prior and again the check out agent told me they didn’t do check out that way and I would come see them after the bags were removed from the room. I texted Bruce who then offered to check us out while we stayed in the room waiting for the bags to be collected. I felt it odd that as a Black Impressions/Globalist it took so much to check in and check out. It wasn’t like that when I visited last time. Overall, I would stay again but hope that check in and check out has a bit more of a flow and attention is given to the little things that make this a luxury resort.
