Banyan Tree Mayakoba

This was our second visit this week to Cello! The food, atmosphere, and service are exceptional! Rafael served our table and delivered exceptional service! Elias attended our table two nights ago. What a wonderful experience! Each night, they brought a desert for our anniversary and each night they took their time to have conversation. Both made it a very pleasant evening.

The Banyan Tree Mayakoba is a must visit! Not only is the location fantastic, but the atmosphere, particularly by the beach, is amazing. The following people made the stay absolutely exemplary: Edson and Marco in the breakfast areas - they were attentive to detail, quick, perfect in service and excellent to talk to. Marisol and Paola were gracious hosts, always helping guests with their questions. Jesus and Ramon were excellent as well. Jesus made sure my champagne glass was always full while Ramon knew EVERYTHING about the resort - a great gentleman. At the Sands, Juan was the man to work with: helping with reserving cabanas, regulating our temperature with water, quick service on drinks and answering questions. He was very polite and a true rockstar. Jasmin supported all our dinner reservation needs with perfection!!! we appreciate her friendly manner and supportiveness. The SPA..oh the SPA team is amazing including Olga, Ana Isabel, Vera, Monica and everyone under Luis Aguilar ! We thank you for a fantastic experience and make the stay memorable. To our housekeepers Gloria and Daniele - thank you : we were always happy to return to our villa, feeling at home, clean and cared for. The resort is a great value, the rooms are clean, vibrant, exciting, well designed with a true sense of place. The amenities were superb and we always slept well with no noise from the outside or fans. The hotel is a great value and I recommend it highly. Please please ... give them all a promotion!!!!

I visited Banyan Tree Mayakoba with my family, and we experienced exceptional customer service — exactly what we expected, but even better. Our dinner at _Cello_ restaurant was a highlight. Our servers, Jair and Armando, made us feel incredibly welcome and special. They provided top-tier service and truly elevated the entire experience. I highly recommend Banyan Tree Mayakoba, and definitely take the time to have dinner with your family at Cello. The variety and quality of the food are next level. 5 stars. We’ll be back. I was lucky enough to stay at Banyan Tree Mayakoba for a week and experience the full attention and care of the staff there. From Gaby in the Sands reception/concierge, to Rafael at Cello, Juan Jose at Tomahawk, and the amazing team including Gamaliel, Edwin, and Jesus on the beach—everyone showed an attention to detail and genuine interest that made the trip unforgettable. Through a combination of English and Spanish I was able to discover the kindness and dedication of everyone who crossed our path throughout our stay. While those mentioned went above and beyond, the consistent dedication of the staff at Banyan Tree Mayakoba went beyond politeness to truly elevate the entire experience of the resort.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the entire hotel team for the extraordinary service we consistently receive—from the moment we arrive until our departure. It has now been 14 years since we began visiting Banyan Mayakoba, and honestly, we do not have a single negative word to say. We return happily every year. Every detail reflects dedication and excellence: from the buggy drivers who always greet us with a smile, to the impeccable housekeeping staff who leave our rooms looking perfect every day. And down at the beach, the service is simply first-rate; the staff are always attentive, friendly, and make every moment feel special. The breakfast service is spectacular, featuring a top-notch buffet and wonderful attention every morning. Lunch on the beach—whether at Sands or Sur—is always a delicious experience, especially when we are being pampered by Chef Henry and his entire team. We also thoroughly enjoyed the opening of Suna; everything was truly delicious, and we thank the chefs for their dedication and creativity. As for the Spa, words are simply not enough to describe the professionalism of the staff who welcome us; they are always attentive and kind. The massage therapists are simply extraordinary. Every visit is an experience of incomparable relaxation and well-being. All the restaurants are absolutely delicious! The person who assists us over the phone or through WhatsApp always ready to resolve any issue with kindness and efficiency—makes a real difference and demonstrates the truly special level of care provided by this hotel. . The best resort I’ve ever stayed in Mexico. From the service, staff, food, rooms, activities, etc. everything was a 10 out of 10. I like a queen being here and I already can’t wait to come back. Also was amazing that I got to have access to the other in my Acoba. I can’t express enough how much I recommend this place and how it is worth every single dollar.

What a wonderful concept - beautiful grounds and villas offering complete privacy in a calm and restful environment. The housekeeping staff spent decent time every day making sure our villa was maintained to a very high standard. All staff were exceptionally well presented and super friendly - many remembering our names or even Villa number whilst we were there. We had one disappointing dining experience but we cannot fault how our feedback was taken on board with a face to face chat with the F&B Manager Karen. The issue was resolved in a way that far exceeded our expectations and you cannot ask for more than that - a high level of service was provided that shone in a time when service levels (particularly in the UK) are often sadly lacking. Our only consideration is that we felt the cost of dining at the hotel was comparatively expensive (£50 each for breakfast) but food was plentiful and the choice of restaurants provided for variety during our 7 night stay. Thank you to all the team at Banyan Tree - you should be very proud of the way you take care of your guests.

The Banyon Tree hotel is a fabulous and extensive property, beautifully laid out and with gorgeous design features. Our room (junior suite bliss pool) was incredible, the hotel service is fabulous and their restaurants are terrific. The food and service were excellent at each restaurant venue. One consideration: the restaurant prices are steep, equivalent to above New York City. We generally went for the lower-priced meals but dinners for two with a couple of drinks were in the $350-$400 range. All things considered, we were very happy to be there!!

We stayed at The Banyan and had the pleasure of having Gamaliel as our beach attendant. The hospitality throughout the resort was incredible, but he truly made our stay exceptional. There’s so much to do at the property, yet my wife and I hardly wanted to leave the beach because Gamaliel made sure we had everything we needed at all times. His attentiveness, warmth, and genuine care turned a great vacation into an unforgettable one. Thank you for making our experience so special!
