We picked Lime Tree Bay Resort due to its location. The plan was to visit the FL Keys from Key West to Key Largo. We stayed at the canal property located about a quarter of a mile from the main resort. That worked for us, but may not be the best if you planned on spending a lot of time at the resort. There are not as many rooms or people on the canal side, but you’re also not close to the amenities (kayaking and paddle boarding) at the main building. You can go there, though; and we did to enjoy the sunsets which were great. The rooms are casual and laid back. Not to much wear and tear. The bed was comfortable enough. Each unit had a kitchenette which we found helpful. Don’t know if you could count on it for dinner, but a quick breakfast or lunch, absolutely. And, at the prices these days for eating out, that can be important. They do service the rooms every day which is not common any longer. We found the pricing (unfortunately) to be about par for the area and time of year. I remember when $400 per night would get something spectacular, but those days are long gone. I would say if you want something nice and clean located in a quiet spot centrally located in the Keys; this works.
BTW, do try FL Boy Bar and Grill located at the property. Great food; ample portions; and plenty of the Keys vibe to make it special.

Pretty facilities with breakfast included at a nearby restaurant. We were assigned a room at the Lime Tree Bay complex which is across the street. Nonetheless, it was not a long walk from the main complex and we were free to use the chaise lounges, etc. at the main complex.
Our room at the Lime Tree Bay complex was fairly large with a mini kitchen, ample bathroom, and a porch. To look at it one would be pleased. Our surprise came when we looked at the bottom of our feet...completely black! Initially we thought the dirt/filth came from the porch and were very careful to wash our feet before putting on shoes or getting in bed. Alas, on our last day we discovered (after stepping from the shower and walking across the room) that the filth came from the floor of our room! Never in my life have been in such a room with that amount of dirt on the floor.
When we checked out we told the hotel office about the floor with the response being they would talk to the cleaning lady assigned.

This place was wonderful. Nice staff, comfy rooms and situated right on the water. About 66 miles from key west. We got up early spent the day in key west and made the easy ride back to the hotel leaving the traffic and crowds behind. Very relaxing stay certainly would recommend.

Great location, easy to find and mid-way through the Keys. Just over an hour to Key West and close to local shopping. Room was clean, spacious and well equipped, however the bed was a little too soft for my liking. Their on-site bar with food was really good, pleasant staff, good choices and open patio made it a great choice. On our last day we had an early dinner and sat on the beach to watch a beautiful sunset.

We just love this resort! The rooms are very spacious and have everything you could ever want for a wonderful stay. The amenities, including kayaking, biking, and a heated pool, are just beautiful. There is a restaurant in the middle of the resort where they always treat you like friends.

The resort was nice but there was minor issues.
There were a lot of no-see-ums on the beach part. When we were watching the sunset we got so many bites! even using a bug spray they were bad.
The pool area was nice and we did not get bug bites by there.
First the room was stated to have an 'oven'. The room we had did not have a typical free standing oven. There instead was a "smart oven' microwave type thing. This is not how an oven should be listed. I was expecting to be able to cook something in the oven but then this is what we got instead. I ended up being able to use the convection feature but it still did not make the food as well as if it was an actual oven.
It was also located in a lower cupboard. So may be difficult to use for people who cant bend a lot.
There were zero hangers in the closet.
The blinds were just the white window slat coverings. These did not close completely so it was not as dark at night. I recommend bringing an eye mask if you need dark to sleep.
The safe was dead and needed new batteries, we had to call someone to fix that then it worked fine. Just an annoyance it was dead to start.
The bed is a medium firmness. There is a memory foam mattress topper on it.
The bathroom was kind of on the smaller size. There were no hooks for clothes. Minimal counter/shelf space so we kept more things in the kitchen area counter.
We did not eat at the restaurant on site. There is no included breakfast as there may have been in the past.

Waking up to the beautiful view was such great way to start the day. The staff was so friendly! I left my credit card at the restaurant next door which I didn’t realize until we were at the airport to come home and they went over to see if it was there. They mailed it back to me!!
We are already looking forward to coming back.

We had two nights booked here at the beginning of our Keys trip. We had a waterfront king room. This is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. The room was a good size for two people and had 2 Adirondack chairs on the porch for our private use. The view from our room was gorgeous. The location is great. The beach is beautiful with loungers and hammocks. There is a good restaurant on site, and a small convenience store across the road. The resort has a pier for fishing, paddle boards and kayaks to use and a heated pool. All is included in the daily rate. Also, free parking. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We loved this place so much we booked a third night at the end of our trip, after being in key west a few days. The room we had on our second visit was across the road from the main resort. The room was huge with a kitchenette and balcony with seating overlooking another heated pool. While we didn’t have the walk out beach access like the first room, it was wonderful. When we return, I’ll probably book the beach access again. This is a great resort and I highly recommend.

Our first visit. We will absolutely be back. We had room 143 canal view. It was off site, but no problem. We used the bikes everyday. We brought our own kayaks, and spent many days at Long Key State Park kayaking. It was only a mile away. They do provide free kayaks, and they looked nice. Property was perfectly maintained, everything was clean, clean, clean! Pool was so nice, on site, and we used it everyday. Had a nice balcony, and we ate many meals there. We had a fully stocked kitchen, big bathroom and king bed. Our maid service was excellent, we needed to ask for nothing ever! We really loved this quiet, laid back place.
