The hotel is absolutely amazing — spacious, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable, with a truly relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and professional across all departments, and always willing to assist. There is a great water park for children, as well as huge, spacious swimming pools with bar service right by the pool, which makes the stay even more enjoyable and convenient. The entertainment team deserves a special mention. Eugene, who leads the team, is simply amazing — full of energy, friendly, and adds so much to the atmosphere and overall experience at the hotel. I would also like to specifically mention Wilson and Chael from the entertainment team, who were wonderful, kind, and made sure we enjoyed ourselves throughout our stay. Overall, this is definitely a very high-quality hotel and an excellent family experience.

We recently stayed at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana in August 2026 and had an incredible time, thanks in huge part to the amazing food and staff all around the resort. First, the dining was a major highlight. We loved Noodle & Thread (the Italian restaurant)—the unique vintage tailor-shop decor is so much fun, the food was great, and the staff provided truly wonderful service. Even better was The Navigator Grill, where the fettuccine and the fresh fried fish were absolute showstoppers, paired with exceptionally attentive service. Beyond the restaurants, we had a blast at the sports bar. We spent an amazing time having great drinks, playing pool, and enjoying the stellar staff who took such good care of us. We also want to give a huge shout-out to our room cleaning staff, who did an exceptional job keeping our space spotless and welcoming every single day. Finally, a massive thank you to Eugene (the entertainment supervisor) and his staff for making the daytime activities—especially archery—so much fun, as well as putting on fantastic nighttime shows. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond. We can't wait to come back!

**Hyatt Ziva – Wonderful Family Vacation & Exceptional Experience with Food Allergies** We had a wonderful time at the Hyatt Ziva this past week. This is definitely a resort tailored to kids and families, so expect **A LOT of kids!** That being said, it was really nice to have access to the adults-only side. My husband and I went over a few times for dinner and to enjoy the martini bar, and both were exceptional. **Food & Food Allergies** The attention they gave to food—especially food allergies—is one of the biggest reasons I would return to this resort. My daughter has life-threatening allergies to sesame and tree nuts. Early in our stay, we met a chef named **Sebastian**, who told us he would personally help us with any food allergy questions or concerns we had. Having traveled with severe food allergies for almost 13 years, I admit I was skeptical. We’ve heard similar promises before. Over the next seven days, however, I was completely blown away by Sebastian’s kindness, attentiveness, and level of service. He seemed to always appear when we were eating and helped us navigate both the restaurants and buffets. He truly went above and beyond to make sure our daughter could eat safely and that our entire family could actually relax and enjoy our vacation. The restaurants also label several of the major allergens, including nuts, wheat, and milk, which was helpful. The highlight of our trip happened at **Tempest, their Asian restaurant**. Because of Sebastian, my daughter was able to experience her **first-ever hibachi dinner and show**. For almost 13 years, she has never been able to have this experience because of the risks associated with sesame and tree nuts. Sebastian took the extra step of having her food prepared separately in the back to avoid cross-contamination while still allowing her to be part of the hibachi experience. I am still teary-eyed thinking about it. If you’re the parent of a child with life-threatening food allergies, you understand just how much a moment like this means. It may seem like a simple dinner to someone else, but to our family, it was a huge experience. And somehow, Sebastian managed to top even that. On our last day, he prepared a special multi-course meal for her at the Italian restaurant with dishes that weren’t even on the menu, including beet ravioli and chicken parmesan. He prepared the meal alongside his partner, **JJ**, and they even came out to present and serve the dishes to her. Several days later, my daughter is **still talking about that meal**. I would return to this resort 1,000 times over if Sebastian is still there. He didn’t just provide excellent service—he gave our daughter experiences she normally has to miss out on because of her allergies, and he gave us, as parents, the ability to relax a little. We will never forget him. As for the food overall, the buffet was good and offered a huge variety of options—including a gazillion desserts! Breakfast was good and quick. However, the à la carte restaurants were exceptional and really where the resort’s food shined. **Waterpark** The waterpark was another great perk. It’s separate from the main resort but only a short walk away. There was a nice variety of slides, making it fun for different ages and comfort levels. The lazy river was amazing, and a good portion of it was shaded, which made it a perfect break from the afternoon heat. **Room** Our room was nice, spacious, and comfortable. It easily accommodated our family, with our daughter sleeping on the pull-out couch. We had plenty of room and were very comfortable throughout our stay. **Shows & Entertainment** The evening shows were very entertaining. We went almost every night, and everyone in our family enjoyed them. **Overall** We had a fantastic family vacation at Hyatt Ziva. The resort itself was wonderful, but what made this trip truly memorable was the care shown to our daughter and our family—especially by Sebastian and JJ. When you’re traveling with a child who has life-threatening food allergies, feeling like someone truly understands and takes those allergies seriously can completely change a vacation. Sebastian did that for us. **Thank you, Sebastian, for giving our daughter experiences she will remember for a very long time—and for giving her parents a vacation where we could actually relax and watch her enjoy them.**

This resort was amazing especially the employees chael and Wilson. They were great to my family and awesome people all around and made the resort and the experience amazing. The food was excellent and also the drinks. I would definitely come back and I recommend this resort to everybody. Chael and Wilson were amazing people and had great personalities and made everything a lot more fun for my brothers and I.

We spent 6 wonderful days at the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana in an Oceanfront Junior Suite Swim-Up. The beautiful views and quiet atmosphere provided exactly what we needed to make our vacation truly relaxing. The suite itself was spacious, modern, and exceptionally clean. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch; check-in was seamless, and we were in our room in no time, allowing us to start enjoying our getaway immediately. Our butler, Christopher, truly elevated our stay. He anticipated and took care of all our needs from beginning to end, including arranging our transportation. We also had the privilege of meeting one of the managers, Lenny Chavez. Mr. Chavez's extensive experience in the hospitality industry clearly impacts his staff, resulting in a highly dedicated, committed team. It is evident that Mr. Chavez is deeply committed to giving every guest an exceptional experience; we noticed him in every corner of the hotel, making sure everything ran above and beyond expectations. He is truly bringing hospitality to the next level. This exceptional service extended to the pool area as well, where the staff was incredibly helpful, especially Facundo and Deiby. The food throughout our stay was extraordinary. The ultimate highlight was a beautifully arranged private dinner on the beach through Waves restaurant, where the culinary team put together a fantastic menu for us to enjoy amidst impeccable service. I was also thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness of the entire resort and loved that our room received turn-down service twice daily. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning in the near future!

Everything was perfect as always. I’ve been coming to this resort for the 8th time, and every visit has been a great experience. The resort is beautiful, the service is excellent, and the staff always makes us feel welcome. I especially want to recognize Yeidy at the batting cages. He provided excellent service, dedicated his time to us, and was very nice and helpful throughout our experience. He really went above and beyond and made our time at the batting cages even better. Thank you to the entire staff for another amazing stay. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Alright, here goes your honest review fresh off a return of our family trip with 18 of us coming in from NY/LA. We were a group of all ages ranging from 2 to 87, with everything in between and I gotta say, Hyatt Ziva delivered the goods for a really solid all-inclusive Dominican resort (and this is coming from someone who's been to so many all inclusives in the country over the years you'd think I was a travel agent). Alas, I'm not and so here's my all-around objective and comprehensive take. The Service: This is what makes this place shine. The service is excellent. Anytime you pass a member of the staff, they basically bow to you as a sign of respect as if you're the King of Zamunda (Coming to America reference). Really a first class and kind staff. The Food: Solid for an all-inclusive (as long as your expectations are in check with what that means for a Dominican all-inclusive). Pasta station at the Mercado buffett is always a hit with the kids (as are the morning crepes and omelettes), they have a hibachi restaurant (Tempest) that does its best rendition of Benihana, the Italian restaurant (Noodles & Thread) is no Carbone but was a crowd-pleaser overall, their outdoor seafood restaurant (Navigator) was good but I'd say the biggest winner was the fresh brickoven pizzas for lunch poolside (Prontoz). The food was good but again what made these places shine was the service. And here's the best hack/benefit for those willing to ditch the kids. The restaurants at Hyatt Zilara are just as open and accessible to Ziva guests and I hear (since I wasn't one to ditch the kids to experience them first-hand!) they were excellent and even a notch above (including Waves their steakhouse - and this was coming from people in our fam who, let's just say, are "particular" about their food) The Waterpark: Great for all-ages. They've got a nice lazy river circling it, they've got 4 "JV" slides for younger kids that my thrill-seeking 2 & 5-year old boys would zip down, and then 4 "varsity" slides that have you questioning your decision to go down them (and then feel great that you did)! I appreciated they had stations of water bottles there to grab and go and food trucks there too. The Kids Club: Solid, kids enjoyed it and wanted to go. I appreciated that they'd do stuff (scavenger hunt on the beach) and also do indoor activities there. They met and befriended other kids there too. It's not big but kids enjoyed it. The Beach: Large beach area, plenty of chairs (no fighting other guests for chairs), kids can play in the sand. Very accessible, just steps from the pool. The Pool: Large pool area, with activities going on in and around the pool (like aerobics or a ping-pong tournament I easily would've won had I gotten there on time). The Shows: Every night there was something at 9:15pm giving us a little entertainment, from a Queen show and Michael Jackson to a fire show. Good enough to hold the attention of my 2-year old son and 87-year old dad, so as long as expectations are in check that this isn't a grand Las Vegas performance you're paying big money to see, enjoy that there's something for everyone to check out after dinner together. Cleaning Crew: Super reliable, which alone puts this resort ahead of its local competitors. So yeah, really great time, resort, and service especially. Access to Zilara gives you double the restaurants. I appreciated its size (not too massive, so everything was close), nice morning smoothie/protein shake station, and top tier first-class gym too. 5-stars!!!

The Hyatt Ziva was exquisite! There was a ton of activities and entertainment for the whole family. I have a lot of food restrictions, and the staff made sure I was taken care of every step of the way, especially the chef at The Blind Butcher. José at La Mareas is amazing! This was by far my favorite vacation, and I will definitely be back. Everyone at the resort is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic resort that's deserving of the top spot in Cap Cana (and Punta Cana). Every single employee....from the housekeepers, to the baristas, to the bartenders couldn't have been more pleasant. Everyone seemed to truly enjoy their job. The food, contrary to some reviews, was fantastic. The restaurants (especially El Mercado and Tempest Table) were awesome. The buffet changed a lot of the entrees daily, and had different types of cuisine. They have a steak/meat area, and a seafood area, and each served fantastic cuts. We did the club level, which I'm not sure was worth the extra money. Check in for us was seamless, but I don't think it was too bad if you weren't checking in through the club. We had a separate lounge and bar area, and the bar served all top shelf liquors, but we rarely went there, instead opting for the bars throughout the resort. The only way that the club could be a good pick is during peak seasons, when the pool gets crowded. We had our own pool area, which was mostly empty, and had great drink and food service. The Ziva was definitely more geared toward families and little kids. They had a lot of activities throughout the day, and every night showed a movie with popcorn, cotton candy, etc. We were traveling with a 17 year old, so we couldn't stay on the Zilara side. There isn't really any activities for older teens or adults, so if your kids are older or if it's an adult only trip, definitely go for the Zilara side. Overall, the Ziva is worth 5-stars, and the money you spend. I know people get nervous visiting the Dominican Republic, but Cap Cana is a totally locked down area. We had to pass through 3 checkpoints to get to the hotel, so if safety is a concern for your trip, you don't have to worry about it here.

We enjoyed our stay so much thanks to the wonderful staff- particularly Riebel and Eugene who were so friendly and fun! The service was phenomenal. The resort was very clean and safe. We spent all of our time at the pool because of the large amount of seaweed that was in the ocean, but otherwise it was perfection! We enjoyed all of the restaurants and the elaborate grill lunches at the pool. All around it was a fantastic vacation! Highly recommend!

Best family vacation!! Food was great, property was beautiful and service was excellent. Wilson and Eugene are the best entertainment duo! Rafael helped us ensure our stay was perfect - shoutout to our amazing dinner on the beach with a great service crew. Jose made sure we had our floats and chairs every morning. Santo made sure we had a great breakfast every morning. And last but not least the star of our trip. Daberlisa!!!! She is the best! Our kids keep asking for her. She gave us top notch pool service. 10/10 recommend!

And carina server at the pool she’s perfect and very sincere! I love Hyatt ziva cap Cana I’ll definitely be back the service is the best out of whole nation! The last two years we have taken family trips to Hyatt Ziva and cant say enough good things!! Its a short drive from the PUJ airport, clean property and rooms, super friendly staff, great food (tons of options and the best buffet especially at breakfast), fun shows, and lots to do!! Literally there is something for everyone. The staff help make this place so great!! We had so much fun with the Entertainment Staff (especially Raibel and Eugene), the staff at the Club Level pool (Erika & Juan B), and adults don't miss the cocktail making classes at the Grog Grotto!! Both our trips were in July so it was seaweed season but we didn't care, we will definitely be back again soon!!

From the beginning to the end, the trip was easy in terms of getting to and from the Resort. We had a lovely room that fronted on the beach. The room was comfortable and clean. We stayed at the Zilara where the atmosphere was upscale and calm - no kids. Our favorite restaurant was Shutters. A special thanks goes out to Team Shutters - Miguel, Nadia, Maury, Bryan, and Adonis for the excellent service and delicious food. Gracias!!

From the moment we landed, everything was easy. The transportation was quick, reliable, and safe — we went from the airport to the hotel in about ten minutes, incredibly close and convenient. When we pulled up, we headed straight into the club area since we'd upgraded to club access, and the whole arrival was seamless: help with all our bags, a welcome drink, and a warm greeting. Our room wasn't quite ready, so we set off to explore — and this place is immense. It's really two hotels in one, an adults-only side and a family side, sharing an incredible water park. While we were finding our way around, we met Amado, one of the activities managers, and honestly he set the tone for our entire trip. On one of his breaks, he took the time to give us a personal tour and show us everything the resort has to offer. That he would do that — make us feel so genuinely welcomed right at the start — was one of the main things that made our stay so special. Our son is a toddler, and he has milk every night. So each evening we'd stop at the coffee bar, where the ladies — Jennifer, Dalitza, Alondra, Yokaury, and Abril — made our coffee and warmed his milk. They remembered him every single time, knew his name, and got the temperature exactly right (he's picky about that). Those small, thoughtful touches meant the world. I'm not usually one to leave my son with people we don't know, especially in a foreign country, but we took a chance and left him at the Kids Club for about an hour. Marianne, Daira, and Aracely were incredible — they were born to do this. He had so much fun he didn't want to leave; I had to go back three times and practically carry him out. Even with kids speaking all different languages, they made every child feel special, with endless activities and so much attention. That freed us up to enjoy the water park, which the whole family can love. There's tubing, slides, a lazy river, and even a small section for babies and toddlers, so the little ones are included too. On the side there are food trucks, and nearly every day Johnny and Elena had fantastic fresh juices and ice cream waiting for us. Such a treat. The dinners were wonderful. The portions are huge and the food tastes high-end and gourmet, not mass-produced at all. If you're a liquor person, you'll have loads of options; if you're more of a wine person like me, the house selection is a little limited — but the bottle prices are very reasonable. I worked with Cristian, the sommelier, on several nights to pick some fantastic bottles, and he was wonderful. We also had a great meal at the Blind Butcher — a really cool experience — where Angel and Jeison took great care of us. Breakfast, whether at the buffet or a restaurant, was always excellent. A special thanks to Bladimir, to Jihan Carlo for the unbeatable chilaquiles, and to Nazario. And Grey at the Mercado at the greeting team welcomed us so warmly every time. Even at the pools, the care was constant. At the club pool, John the pool concierge went above and beyond for anything we needed, and the pool bar team — Luis V., Deiby, Erika, and Karla — were fantastic. If I had to sum up how this place made us feel, it's welcomed, included, and warm — a real family feeling. You meet these people and it's as if you've known them for years, and they cater to every need with so much joy. We loved it and will absolutely be back to another Hyatt all-inclusive. This was a truly beautiful experience. And there’s so much to do there everyday that we didn’t get to do it all. We’ll have to come back soon. If I had to point out anything, it's two small things on an otherwise perfect stay: the sargassum, which is all over the Caribbean right now and nothing the resort can control, so we didn't get to enjoy the beach as much (though there were plenty of beach activities we simply didn't get to). And I'd love to see a few more house wine options for the wine lovers.

We just returned from an absolutely incredible stay at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, this resort had everything we could have wanted for a family vacation. The resort itself is beautiful and absolutely immaculate. The grounds are incredibly well maintained, the pools and common areas are spotless, and everything feels upscale without ever feeling stuffy. For our family, the amenities were perfect. The kids loved the Kids Club, while we were able to enjoy the Club Pool, fitness center, and everything else the resort has to offer. Even something as simple as lunch at the buffet was outstanding. The food throughout our stay was easily the best we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive resort — both in quality and variety. The drinks were just as impressive. This isn't a resort where you're getting watered-down drinks and bottom-shelf liquor. They had great cocktails and genuinely premium brands like Ketel One, Patrón, and plenty of other top-shelf options. But what really sets Ziva Cap Cana apart is the staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, gracious, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy to have us there. We loved the signature greeting with the right hand placed over the heart — such a simple gesture, but it really captures the warmth and hospitality of the resort. Communication was also incredibly easy, as the staff we interacted with spoke excellent English. It’s rare to find a resort that checks every box for both adults and kids, but Ziva Cap Cana absolutely did. Incredible food, great drinks, beautiful grounds, fantastic amenities, wonderful staff, and plenty for the kids to do. We came home feeling like we truly got the complete all-inclusive experience. Without question, one of the best family vacations we’ve had, and we would absolutely return. 10/10 — Ziva Cap Cana absolutely nailed it.

I’m not typically a person that leaves reviews, maybe my review will help a person make an informed decision on this resort. You don’t need my family story but I feel it’s pertinent to the review. This was a family trip with my wife and I and our four sons ranging in age from 29 to 16 years old. It’s hard to believe we made this happen. All of our boys are busy, smart, productive, well adjusted young men. None of them have wives or kids yet so that helps. And the two youngest are still on summer break from high school. Everyone had a great time. Amstar was our transportation to and from the airport/resort. They did a great job with handling our luggage and keeping us informed about arrival and departure. Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is a beautiful place. Upscale finishes from the flooring to the woodwork and the decor throughout. One thing I noticed was the LED, under-stair lights were falling apart. Visibly hanging below the stair riser. The light switches and occupancy sensors for the lights in the rooms weren’t working properly and that was frustrating when trying to turn lights on and off in any kind way that made sense. I’m an electrician and a contractor so electrical things always stand out to me. Things were kept very clean outside the rooms throughout the whole resort. Swept, mopped and polished. The rooms were nice. The rain shower head in my shower dripped cold water when showering but it wasn’t a big priority i felt the need to address. Other than that no room complaints. House keeping did a decent job. The beds were a little hard and the pillows could have been better. We paid for club level service and didn’t use it. With Club level you get a private bar and other things out in the resort. You also get more room service and things. We didn’t spend much time in our rooms didn’t need a private bar with snacks that are club level only. The standard amenities were great! We got 3 rooms and they all had a “swim-up” option. The pools that are connected to the rooms are not connected to the main pool. We did use it, but just a few times. I pictured us gathering in those pools as a family but it didn’t happen. If getting multiple rooms, maybe get one with a swim up option would be good enough IMO. The beach was disappointing. Blue water is a BIG reason I like a beach vacation, and there wasn’t any blue water at the beach. You could see blue water from the resort, but your weren’t getting to any of it without some help from a boat or an excursion. The seaweed was out of control. They did gather it up every day or two, but it didn’t really make a difference. I do know seaweed is beyond the resort’s control as well. If you are expecting blue water, and any kind of waves, this is not the time to go. The way it’s all set up, the waves will never be possible at the beach. As bad as the seaweed was, it’s hard to picture if there is ever clean clear water at any time of year. Do your research on that! The wait staff was pretty attentive at the beach. Probably would have been more attentive if guests were actually spending time out there. The food was decent. The wait staff was good to great at all the restaurants. Where we are from, we have some of the best restaurants in the country, so it’s hard to dampen my expectations when it come to food quality. Dinner restaurants are where they fell short. Service was good though, and I suppose they do the best they can with the quality of ingredients they have to work with. Breakfast buffet was really good. Service was EXCELLENT. Fresh fruit and pastries. Eggs made to order if you like. And I do like! Coffee is great. I didn’t order any espresso at the breakfast buffet, so I don’t know if you can. They have a coffee shop called Coffee Republic. It is amazing. The staff AMAZING! Very attentive. Never had to wait more than a few minutes no matter how busy they were. I probably drank 30-40 americanos while I was there. They have flavored lattes like any coffee shop as well. Pastries, ice cream, frozen fruit bars, sandwiches, etc. Coffee Republic was a staple in my trip. Yessica, Dalitzo and Yasaira did an amazing job with their customer service and barista-ing This review is getting long winded I think but hopefully I touched on useful points. It’s definitely a positive review. Beautiful blue skies. Dozens of palm trees everywhere. Many restaurants with good food to choose from. I forgot to touch on the pool grill. Their burgers are SO good! The staff was amazing! Upscale decor which I enjoy. I’m not a drinker, but there’s plenty of alcohol that comes free with your stay if that’s your thing. They have a stage with nightly entertainment. I didn’t attend any of the night camp, but I could hear it and could tell people we’re enjoying it. In addition to the restaurants, they had large dinners/dinner shows out in what I would call the courtyard almost nightly. Last thing I’m gonna say is for the Staff. Working at a resort can be a good job for locals, but I’m pretty sure they don’t live near the resort. That said, I’m sure they have a long commute to get there. I also assume their base pay is pretty low so they depend on tips to actually make any money. Bring cash and tip the staff. Throw them a dollar or two for a round of drinks. Tip your waiters and waitresses. Your baristas. House keeping. I tipped at every opportunity. I know it’s an expensive vacation, but what’s other $500 or $1000 in tips for hard working people? It makes them feel like what they are doing is worth it and that gets you and everyone else better service.
