Wow! Wow! Wow! Last month we decided to take an extended weekend trip to a place that would give us a little sunshine. After scouring several websites we ended up landing on a place called Hotel Xcaret Arte. Having been to quite a few destinations in Mexico, we didn’t expect much more than some sun, a beach, and ample alcohol while we relaxed. This would be just the tip of the iceberg. :) After landing in Cancun, a short charter bus ride and confusing check-in, we were escorted to our room by a friendly staffer that was assigned to us for the first hour. He was super helpful and made sure to answer our questions while he pointed out several places to check out during our stay. As we entered our room we found everything to be just what we need for our stay. The room was super clean and the bed was comfy. The fridge was stocked and the two hammocks on the balcony overlooking a man-made river was surreal. Off to a great start! After a quick change into our summer gear, we were off to explore the absolutely “huge” campus of lush greenery. At every corner was something right out of an art institution. This place was absolutely loaded with tradition and didn’t fail at making sure we were immersed in their culture. Bravo! As we ventured, we found ourselves at several locations to rest with varying sites to see. Everything was beyond clean and well-maintained. There were countless shops to visit and even more restaurants to try. The food was top notch for an all-inclusive and we couldn’t find a single issue with the service at this place. There was something for everyone and even if you weren’t wanting to sit in some restaurant you could just go to their buffet location that offered endless choices. Whoa!!! Must do! Trust us!!! If you like the beach, it’s right there. You can even catch a short catamaran ride to Cozumel (it’s included). Not always a calm beach but beautiful to say the least. If you like to paddle board or swim around the campus, there’s a crazy cool lazy river that leads to endless places (even the resort next door). If you’re about more extreme adventuring, which we didn’t have time to experience, you have an all access pass to several parks that includes things like zip-lining. If you enjoy clubbing, maybe a bit of a downer, but the speakeasy was fun for us old peeps. Lol! The live music was just right and what came later can only be seen in person. :) The staff was amazing! Everyone we encountered were nice and legitimately seemed to be happy with their jobs. Not once did we encounter someone who looked bothered by their guests or unhappy with providing the best service possible. For people that travel often, like us, this was a pleasant surprise and we’re making plans to return with some of our friends next year. Last month we decided to take an extended weekend trip to a destination

Our drinks were never empty and they were so welcoming! We also loved our butler Angel, he answered all of our questions within seconds. The pools and facilities were amazing, the only downside was the beaches were a little rocky. Otherwise everything else was great with our stay.

Everyone who works on the roof is so nice and considerate. They were always doing the most to accommodate whatever our requests were. They also had our favorite drink in the hotel the Jackaranda that you can get at this bar and nowhere else on property.

Just spent a heavenly week at this huge, stunning all-inclusive resort. A remarkable place to see, with massive sculptures on display throughout, top quality rooms, restaurants serving excellent Mexican, Asian and other international cuisine, pools and beach areas, in absolutely mint condition. Best of all were the cordial and welcoming staff. Each of several times we sought assistance in navigating the expansive grounds, the staff member dropped whatever they were doing to assist us with a smile. We were there for a rest, but managed to visit the Xcaret cultural park, one of several experiential parks included in our travel package purchased through Costco. Attended a 300-person multi-media cultural evening stadium show there. Enjoyed kayaking through an ocean-fed lagoon - big enough for about a 20-30 minute paddle.. Listened to excellent, NY-quality jazz players as well as traditional Mexican ensembles. Our fellow guests hailed from places as far away as Korea, Canada, Europe as well as many Mexican visitors on top of US folks. We’re coming back! Special shouts out to staff members Justina, Victor, Fabio and Ricardo, to name just a few of the delightful folks who welcomed us.

good hotel facilities and friendly staff
It was a pleasant experience because the hotel facilities were good and Joseph was especially kind to us
We enjoyed this resort very much. You can do so much or nothing at all and just relax. The food was great and the service was wonderful. We visited every pool and spent a morning at the beach. The only negative was check in. Everything else was fantastic!
Absolutely worth the rave

5 stars fall short of what was easily my best hotel experience ever and I work in the luxury tourism industry. The stunning architecture and natural surroundings of this place allows you to find constant surprises -both cultural and natural- at every turn, from live music shows, to river coves to rooftop swimmingpools overlooking the caribbean. The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly and always creating a positive atmosphere. Special shout out to Karen from the Casa del Diseño rootfop, Braulio from the Isla Mujeres transfer, Jesus and Luis from Tah Xido and our lovely concierge at Casa Pirámide, Carlos. The rooms are dreamy: big, full of amenities, with great views (we stayed at a swim up room at Casa del Diseño and later with a riverview at Casa Pirámide). This is not your impersonal 5 star beach resort: Mexican culture is celebrated at every step, with the hotel brimming with works of art and small details to allow you to take in the destination. My favorite thing about this place as a foodie was the food. We kicked it off with a tasting menu at Encanta, which was sublime. We also tried Chino Poblano which was the only place with subpar service -we had informed our dietary restrictions months in advance but they were not accommodated, and we ended up doing about half of the menu, we ended the dinner hungry and went to another restaurant. Special mention to Tah Xido, the japanese-mexican fusion restaurant that we loved so much we tried twice and to the breakfast. The breakfast at Mercado San Juan is beyond my wildest dreams, featuring numerous stations with everything from pozole and chilaquiles to scrambled eggs (shout out to Pamela!!). Regarding the parks I'll say we LOVED Xplor, it's soooo much fun, but we definitely would never go back to Xcaret, which tells a tall tale of sustainability but is actually a glorified zoo where you see endangered species being in small enclosures, and people pay premiums to go pet them. Supposedly this is a place of conservationism but having people pet animals is against all conservationist principles and the animals are evidently distressed and there is no education whatsoever provided about how this place is supposed to conserve these species. Greenwashing much? But this is the only bad part about our really fabulous one week experience in Xcaret Arte. One bit of warning is this is NOT a beach hotel - the beach is rocky and lacks amenities, and for most of our stay the sea was too rough and the lifeguards wouldn't even let you in the water. Despite this the hotel has so much to offer we didn't feel like we were lacking much. In sum, this hotel is AMAZING, with professional and friendly staff, gorgeous surroundings and delicious food at every stop. I cannot wait to come back!

Absolutely phenomenal resort. We’ve been here 2 years in a row for a work-earned vacation and this year 2025 we extended our trip. The hotel can get confusing directions wise because it’s so big but it’s GORGEOUS, the food is delicious, and the staff is truly made of some of the friendliest people on earth. The included excursions are so much fun; there are endless possibilities to do. Just do your research ahead of time so you know which restaurants or excursions you need reservations for. Most you don’t, so even not making reservations you’ll have many fun options of things to do and places to eat. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Once again, our trip to Xcaret Arte was amazing! This is our third year in a row, returning to the resort. Both this year and the previous year we brought friends with us add both times they said we have ruined all inclusive resorts for them. Nothing can compare to Arte! The pool concierge at both the main pool and rooftop Diseño were incredibly attentive and welcoming. At the main pool, Freddy, Ricardo, Alberto & Ariel made sure I was looked after while my husband and friends were away at the parks. I need to also mention that at the main pool on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays they have entertainment. I have to admit that the entertainment at the hotel is my favorite part! Adrian and Daniel are extremely talented singers. These two guys are a huge contributing factor on why I must return here year after year. I could go on and on about how much talent is at this resort. The shows that they put on and the nightly entertainment are way more than I could have imagined. At the rooftop Diseño, Shayla, Mariana, Theresa, and Mercedes went the extra mile to make us feel special as we celebrated our anniversaries. We will be back to see you soon. Thank you for everything and I will cherish the lifelong memories that you help to create. Xcaret Arte is a must!!!
