Hotel El Ganzo

Hotel El Ganzo is as good as it gets. It was one of the best hotel experiences my boyfriend and I have ever had. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was outstanding. The staff genuinely cared for all the guests (shout out to Gustavo and Anny). The food was incredible—probably the best curated food and drinks I’ve had in a long time. It was also very vegetarian-friendly, except for dinner. We spent a lot of time by the pool and jacuzzi, and the DJs created the perfect vibe. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay here again. It’s truly the best of Cabo.

This is our second of many to come visits to this little gem of a hotel nestled in an entertaining marina. First of all, the whole team here is some of the best I’ve come across in travels around the world. The hotel is very clean, very organized and the food is delicious. If you are hoping for a wild party at an all inclusive, this isn’t it. If you are looking for thoughtfully curated luxury without pretension, interesting art and music, and easy access to San Jose del Cabo’s art district and lively neighbourhoods - you have found it. Instead of watching drunken tourists around a pool, you can watch fisherman, seabirds, and the resident sea lion patrol for post-fishing treats.

This is a great hotel if you want a beautiful setting outside of the Cabo craziness and appreciate higher end setting but don’t love the isolation. With the rooftop pool and hot tub overlooking the active marina and the ocean, the private beach club and tastefully decorated rooms and artsy hallways you get a great resort experience without being in a huge hotel or a super high end hotel. Adults only makes it great for a couples getaway. You are also in a little neighborhood which is walkable vs an isolated resort.

From the moment of arrival, El Ganzo announces itself as something altogether different: a home for the creative soul perched at the breathtaking edge of the world, where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez embrace. And if the landscape is extraordinary, the people who bring it to life are nothing short of magnificent. Erika and Ale at the front desk offered a welcome full of warmth, grace, and effortless professionalism that immediately made one feel welcome. Beto's gracious presence as go-to for valet parking. Sergio, the pontoon operator, conveyed the patience and confidence of a protector of the sacred. And Erik, server at the beach and cabana, elevated every meal and every sun-drenched hour with attentiveness and smiles. El Ganzo promises art, culture, and self-fulfillment. It delivers, not just through its stunning murals and art, but through every human interaction along the way.

I stayed at El Ganzo for a friend’s wedding, and it was a beautiful hotel with the most incredible personnel! Anny, Chris, Beto, and the rest of the staff made my stay a delight from check-in to check-out. Admittedly, food and drink are pricey (coming from someone in their 20s), but I never had an item that disappointed. I would recommend El Ganzo to anyone coming to Cabo!

I had an amazing experience at the Beach Club at Hotel El Ganzo. From the moment we arrived, everything felt elevated and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with great ingredients and care. Every dish we tried exceeded expectations. The drinks were another highlight. They were incredibly fresh, well-balanced, and perfect for a beach day. What truly made the experience stand out, though, was the service. It’s honestly on another level compared to any other beach club in Los Cabos. The team is attentive, friendly, and genuinely focused on making sure you have a great time. A special shout-out to Alfonso, the supervisor, who truly takes the experience to the next level. His attention to detail and warm hospitality make the whole visit feel special. He made sure everything ran perfectly and that we felt taken care of from start to finish. The only tiny downside was that the wind picked up a bit in the afternoon—but that’s just nature doing its thing in Baja and honestly part of the charm of being right by the ocean. If you're visiting Los Cabos and want an unforgettable beach club experience with fantastic food, refreshing drinks, and outstanding service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended.

Thank you El Ganzo hotel for your amazing hospitality and care when we came to San Jose Del Cabo for my daughter's wedding. We had a group of 60 people and you took great care of our family and friends and for that I am so grateful! The customer service was prompt, reliable, and always friendly. From room service, to housekeeping, to concierge, to dining options, to swimming, to check-in and check-out, to the spa and gym, to gathering places for our group, to quiet peaceful places to sit and relax, - Hotel El Ganzo exceeded my expectations! The art was stunning throughout the hotel and the music set the vibe throughout our days. I would LOVE to come back again to this beautiful area and I would definitely make Hotel El Ganzo my home base again.

I had an amazing 4 day stay here with my fiancé the week following Valentines day. The weather was perfect with numerous occasions of spotting whales breaching and spouting throughout. The staff was top notch especially pool side. We had Monserrat (Monse) taking very good care of us each day feeding us amazing drinks (the spicey Margaritas is a specialty) as well as just making us feel at home, talking to us about the resort and where to go. She made our stay so much better. The view and rooms were excellent and very easy and affordable to get around. We learned last day of the few restaurants within walking distance if you tire of the hotel's limited menu. We will definitely be back and we hope to see Monse there waiting with her spicy margaritas!

We had a wonderful time. Loved the artsy vibes! Such a unique decor. The in room tub was a huge hit- we used it daily. The food was absolutely excellent. All the granola bowls and the avocado toast for breakfast were a dream! Lunch and dinner were excellent. I loved my spa treatment. The beach club and the rooftop bar with the DJ were a delight. The store had such unique items - I got some jewelry and a purse I’ll wear with the fondest memories. :)

We had an amazing time here. I came to San Jose for a wedding and a majority of us stayed at the hotel here. We enjoyed the welcome party across the water near the beach club and it was so lovely. Great views, and I've never seen so many art pieces in one hotel so it was fun to explore the halls. Staff was great, drinks were made to perfection, and the boat service was a nice touch of luxury.

Hotel El Ganzo in San José del Cabo absolutely blew us away—even though we weren’t guests at the hotel. We showed up three nights in a row with fish we had caught ourselves, and every single time the kitchen turned it into an incredible meal. Thoughtful preparation, flawless execution, and seriously delicious results. It felt personal, not performative—like they genuinely cared about making the experience special. The service was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and effortlessly polished. And the vibe? Spot on. Elegant but never stiff, relaxed but still refined. El Ganzo has that rare atmosphere where you feel comfortable lingering—great energy, great design, great people. As the Pixies sang, “I got plenty of time” — Pixies That lyric fits perfectly here, because El Ganzo is the kind of place where you want to slow down, savor the moment, and stay a little longer than planned. Absolutely loved this Hotel. Rooms, dining, lobby, and pool. The view was amazing and with all the sea life present on the daily… never a bad show. Sea lions, pelicans and the whales all showed off. It did not disappoint. If you’re looking for great service, you will find it. A young lady whose name is Montserrat, she works at the pool. The most attentive, professional warm hearted young lady there. If I were to give 10 out of 10 stars, she gets 20. Highly recommend this Hotel and make sure you give Montserret a hug or a high five for being awesome and amazing.

We loved our experience at the singular Hotel Ganzo! The atmosphere is whimsical and smart; the design is eclectic and modern. Our room was pared down and immaculate. We felt our experience to be remarkably personal - the hotel overall felt calm, quiet, relaxing. The service and staff was utterly on point, one-step-ahead-of-us, yet chill. We wanted for nothing and felt fulfilled and then some by the amenities offered. The location is unique and we wanted for nothing. For all this, the price of our stay was insanely accessible - an amazing value! We will be returning as soon as we can!
