Finest Playa Mujeres

They went above and beyond for us Angel Fernando and Julieta. The food was great and the attention was incredible. The drinks were great! Highly recommend the maracuya mojito! We are very thankful for the attention and they made our trip special.

We are home in the snow and cold weather after another amazing vacation at Finest Playa Mujeres. This was our 7th visit. We always stay at Excellence Club (Building 6) and love the perks of being Excellence Club members. From the helpful Concierge desk (Katrina and Alfredo) to the Excellence Beach staff (Angel, Eduardo, Fernando and Ricardo) Beach servers ( Carlos, Victor and Javier) to the Excellence Club bartender (Daniel Jesus) to our favourite server at Dommo (Julietta), everyone went out of their way to make our visit memorable. This visit, we had a Roof Top Terrace which we loved for the privacy, quietness and stunning views. I want to pay a special compliment to Dalel Nasta. She is amazing and would check in with us daily to see if we needed anything or to help with dinner plans. She also helped plan an awesome birthday dinner at Le Petit Plaisir for my husband. Mr. Javier Cambranis also contributed to the birthday celebration by planning a special lunch at Insieme. Staff The Staff is the reason we keep coming back to Finest. Our first visit was in 2016. Staff has changed since that first year but when we first arrive to the resort we love to walk around to see if we might see old friends. We weren't disappointed this trip. We found Roger at Dukes and then were pleasantly surprised to find him again at Le Petit Plaisir on another night. Charly, another favourite was working at Gusto for breakfast and Las Dunas for lunch. We loved eating lunch at Las Dunas right on the beach. Charly has 2 brothers(Andres and David) who also work at Finest. Andres is at Shoji. We had an awesome dinner there one night. Chef Nicco made us a special dinner including a dragon sushi. Andres was our server. David is at Tintos and Tapas. We really enjoyed our meal there. Restaurants There are 11 restaurants at the resort. We have many favourites. For breakfast and lunch we love the Market Kitchen. Rocky, the manager is great as well as Daniella and Laisha at the desk. We always asked for Danny or Manuel to serve us. One lunch Rocky even had the chef cook up a really nice piece of salmon for us. You can't beat all the choice at the Market Kitchen. Dukes is also a favourite for breakfast and lunch as is Insieme for lunch and dinner. Lizzo, the Mexican restaurant is also a favourite. My favourite meal is the Chile en Nogada. I take that every visit!! The Manager Germann came to our table to tell us they wanted to make us a special meal. We had chimichangas, a mexican salad with grilled octopus, a cream poblano soup and the chile en nogada. Wow, it was delicious. We went to Le Petit Plaisir twice. The first time Roger was our server. I had the Burgundy style snails, Mixed lettuce salad with crispy goat cheese and Pan seared scallops. Michel had the Bourguignon veal cheek, Tuna tartar and the Saint Germain soup. The meal was amazing. The second time was to celebrate Michel's birthday. Gonzalo was our server, Miguel was the chef, Jocelyn was the hostess and Alejandro was the sommelier. It was an amazing meal and the birthday cake at the end was so good and fresh ! We also had a special birthday lunch at Insieme. Israel was the chef and Norberto was our server. We had 3 tastings of ceviche (shrimp, octopus and fish). This was followed by a main course of salmon, tuna, sea bass and shrimp. Finally a sampling of deserts. Yum. Our 2 weeks in Paradise were amazing. We can't wait to come back next year. A Roof Top Terrace is already booked!

This was my husband and I’s 3rd stay at one of the Excellence/Finest brands. (1st stay at FPC and 2nd at EPM). We booked FPM because we were able to book the Excellence Club Imperial Suite with Private Pool. Overall, this was an 8 out of 10 for us. There were a few things that missed, but that didn’t stop us from having a good time, nor did we let it ruin our vacation. ROOM: I will admit, I was expecting a bit more out of the room- more of a beach/ocean view. The pool itself also needs a little TLC- certainly can notice its signs of wear. But didn’t bug us too much. We really only used our pool in the later afternoon (4-6pm) and morning to enjoy our coffee and breakfast on the patio via room service. Some perks that you get with the room, that we took advantage of were: 1. Free private, 1 hour bartender. Lulu did a great job in making us different tequila cocktails- and we ended up learning about the different tequilas and mezcals, so this was very enjoyable; 2. Free hydrotherapy at the spa every day. We took advantage of this 4 days. I think that was even 1 too many. Don’t get me wrong, hydrotherapy is great, but because we knew the stations at the end, it didn’t feel as special; 3. Free 45 minute diamond ritual massage. So, so amazing! 4. Free private dinner on the beach. This was amazing! It was the perfect evening- slight breeze, saxophone player serenading us, and the food was delicious! FOOD: For the most part, food was good. It didn’t wow me like it did at both FPC and EPM, but there were also no issues- our orders were correct every time. A few times, our soups came out lukewarm, but that was about it. Maybe just choosing different things would have helped. They also took our gluten free requests super seriously (for us, it is a preference, but would feel very comfortable if it was an allergy how seriously they take the special diet matters into consideration.) SERVICE: This is why we come back to these resorts- every one you come into contact with are so, so friendly and truly want to make your vacation more than just a vacation. A few of our standouts: 1. CORNELIO! Oh my gosh- this guy was just a pure joy. One day at the main pool, when it was chillier and more quiet, we got to talking to him about his life and his family, and he was just so great- we followed him to the places he was bartending at for the rest of the week. He would bring us little surprises throughout the day (crazy fruit creations (not to be confused with the sad monkeys)) and took the time to get to know us, too. He is one I’d wish to stay in contact with- just so, so great! (Thank you again, Cornelio! 💙) also, order his “Scooby Doo Papa” shots- they won’t disappoint! 2. Ana Paula- our plans to arrive changed literally last minute. We were planning on being picked up from an airport hotel bright and early the morning after our flight arrival. But an issue there caused us to just go to Finest for the night- a day early. When we got there, we asked if our room was ready and she told us that it was still in the process of being cleaned. At this point, it was already 7pm and we said, no big deal. Just thought we would ask. She said no, we will have it ready for you. She even went down there herself to help the housekeeping crew. I think she could see how tired we were and how desperate we were to have our room and not have to move. She also helped us to set up all of our activities (hydrotherapy, beach dinner, etc) and was so helpful. 3. Victor, Carlos, and Adriel were also a hoot at the poolside bars, and always made sure we were “well hydrated” 4. Gustavo, our housekeeper did a great job! He was prompt every morning, and made us cute characters on our bed! SPA: we always splurge on vacation and book massages. We did this before we knew we had a free diamond ritual. So for our first (paid) massage, we did a 75 minute deep tissue massage with hot stones. Glorious. Would definitely recommend. Again, we also had a 45 minute diamond ritual a few days later. And this was also amazing. Honestly can’t say I enjoyed one more over the other- aside from the fact that one was longer. All in all, this was a great vacation. Our only negative was the fact that it was a family resort, so some times at dinner, it wasn’t too “peaceful” with the children and the wait times for dinner could get long. But that’s okay- we knew we booked this resort and that would likely happen. We just know we are true “adults only” resort type of people from now on. I think it’s wonderful to see families traveling together.

Not too crowded, we were able to find a spot every day at the beach or pool. The room was beautiful and super clean! Highly recommend booking excellence club. We made a connection with one of the bartenders, Julio. He was so attentive and remembered us every time we saw him. We appreciate him to the highest. I would 10/10 recommend this resort!

We just returned home from our trip at the Excellence club at Finest Playa Mujeres and can’t wait to return! The resort and beaches are stunning, but what makes this place truly special is the hospitality of every single staff member. We were greeted so warmly by Albert at the excellence club concierge who ensured we had the most beautiful room. We stayed in the rooftop plunge pool suite that looked out over the entire coastline. Our breath was taken away every morning! In the afternoons we soaked up the sun by the excellence club pool, which was so quiet as we had the pool to ourselves most of the time, or in the shade and sea breeze on the beach. There was never any issue getting a spot to lounge and enjoy a dip in the ocean, or even spot a sea turtle during a walk on the beach! Poolside or beachside, Victor and Carlos took such good care of us with refreshing drinks and fresh ceviche and guacamole. It was a dream! The resort was always appropriately lively thanks to an enthusiastic entertainment team, often lead by the charming Kevin, who ran a variety of events each day. We also enjoyed trying so many thoughtful and delicious dishes at the many restaurants. Lizo has some of the tastiest bites- especially the shrimp aguachile, beef chimichanga, and anything with the mole sauce. Enrique at Tinto & Tapas shared his passion and love for food as we dined on the best sea bass I’ve ever had. Carlos at Dommo adorned our table with flower petals and fresh cut flowers to celebrate our final dinner, which was thoughtful and made us feel so special. Although the gigantic tomahawk steak is a signature dish of this restaurant, I would definitely recommend trying the marinated salmon and asparagus starters, black ravioli, and confit duck. I was continually blown away by the ingenuity and creativity of the chefs behind these menus. There was not a single meal I did not leave dreaming of the food! We are so appreciative of the care and attention to detail provided by all staff to curate such a relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

We had our wedding at Finest this past March 2025 with 63 guests. I wanted to take the time to write a special review about our wedding coordinator Olga P. She was amazing from email communication, to our in person meeting & then day of coordination! She was kind, organized and made our dreams come true! We would not have had such a beautiful stress-free day without her hard work and care. We are so grateful for her being our wedding coordinator. We also had amazing bar service, our favorite bartender Cornelio! He also treated us great all week at our wedding & after the wedding! He made us drinks while us and our guests hung out at our swim up area. He was so fun, kind and amazing! All our friends and family loved him too. We also loved our DJ the in-house vendor through Finest - they were awesome! Going with in house vendors was easy and for us music lovers we were so impressed by their care in playing exactly what we wanted! One spa, Ingrid did my hair and makeup trial and day of. She was so sweet and took great care of me and my hair lasted all night! She was kind and did an excellent job. Another great choice doing in house hair and makeup through Finest One Spa!
