Our stay at Encantada was just what we hoped for. A small quiet hideaway to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach, ocean and sky. The staff was welcoming and courteous in doing all they could to make our time there memorable. Liz was wonderful. She went from meeting our needs and requests to anticipating them. I have traveled extensively for business and pleasure, but have never met a more helpful and engaging host. She is the best.

What a fantastic boutique resort! Had a wonderful week here celebrating my 50th birthday with my wife. Close to the beach, beautiful sand right to our front door, foot bath is a nice touch! The breakfast was delicious, and coffee was great! Our stay at encantada was magnificent. The service was so personalized. We felt like we were guests at a house with an amazing host. The room was luxurious and rustic at the same time. It felt very exotic. The food was fresh and flavorful. We loved the chicken tacos, quacomole and eggplant hummus. The breakfast was delicious too. We enjoyed the Mexican dishes as well as more simple items like the alvocado toast while sitting on a platform overlooking the tourquoise water and feeling the sea breeze. The beach beds were super comfortable and I liked the option for a bed style or chair. Also easy to choose to be in the shade or sun. I would recommend to anyone to stay at this little slice of paradise.

I waited a bit to take my time and write a review that really does justice to our experience. Everything was perfect, the food was delicious...OMG the polenta eggs!, the breakfast daily in the room with such a great service from all the restaurant staff, and on the beach, it was even better—so helpful with even the smallest details, like offering us a towel. The sunrises every morning on the beach are indescribable, and don’t miss the sunsets at the hotel next door! P.S. The massages at the spa are unreal! Even before we got here, the concierge team was always checking in with recommendations and services to make sure our stay was all about relaxing and enjoying... A special shoutout to Paola, during those days she went above and beyond what could be expected. You could easily love her, and without even trying, she became a friend. She was always attentive to us, and we couldn’t wait to see her to tell her about our day. She was always asking us about the little things, like what we liked most at dinner or what we did on our tours. These are such important details that make us feel like home and not in just any hotel. The bed was so comfy, and the bathroom set had such a lovely smell. We can't wait to come back. T&M

Wow, where shall I begin? This hotel is truly outstanding. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable yet elegant, and the food is absolutely delicious. But the real highlight of this place is the people. Everyone is extremely kind and attentive. Paola, at check-in, was extremely kind and pleasant, in our first day at breakfast, she sent me a cake for my birthday, which had been a few days earlier. It was such a nice detail, especially since I hadn’t mentioned anything, and that really made the full experience even better. She and Isabella help us with recommendations and, in the end, with renting a car for our next destination. We can't wait to return !

We had such a wonderful experience at Encantada. This hotel was our last stop for our 3 week honeymoon trip in Mexico and we were hoping there would be no bad surprises. This hotel was absolutely stunning, exceeded our expectations and was a big highlight & a beautiful wrap to our wonderful time in Mexico. We booked 5 nights at Encantada, it wasn’t enough I tell you. Our room was directly by the beautiful water, we could see the stunning sunrise from the comfort of our bed. Everything about our stay was comfortable & special. When we arrived, our reception lady was very kind and sweet. She connected us with the internet and the 24/7 WhatsApp channel they have that we can ask for anything anytime, what a game changer. She also booked us a table at Nü their Michelin star restaurant across the road, 1minute walk. She also took us for a tour of the hotel & the sister hotels where we can access their pool and other restaurants, it was great to have many options and feel very welcomed.If I’m Not wrong, this was the lovely Paola. The beach spot where Encantada is, is absolutely perfect. It’s at the end of Tulum, the water is clear, stunningly turquoise and the restaurants/hotels/shops around are more refined & not crazy crowded. Everything is a little more expensive but it’s also great quality. We had delicious dinners every evening outside of our hotel a few meters each side each night, we also went to downtown for one evening but it’s wasn’t anything special. We wouldn’t recommend leaving the area where the hotel is. Encantada had two spots for restaurant areas, one by the water and one sheltered incase it rained. We sat mostly by the water because the view was indescribable. The beauty of this hotel is that it only has 8 rooms, which means every little detail is taken care of for each of the guests & that you can really enjoy & can’t compare to other big hotel chains. Every morning I ordered coffee to my room via WhatsApp, it was such great service, just to enjoy the view before the day started. WhatsApp was awesome we felt looked after with any food/drink orders, restaurant recommendations or taxi arrangement, thanks to Isabel for being a wonderful host. Hotel restaurant breakfast was absolutely delicious !!!!!! We had the best food, the breakfast menu that’s included is more than enough with the fruits, the protein bowl with peanut butter (so good!), fresh juices, and however you like your eggs like traditional like huevos rancheros for example or avocado toast, they can do it & it’s on the menu and they will do it in the best way for you to enjoy it. Restaurant service was beyond great, Miguel & Alberto were looking after us everyday, making sure we get our orders right away with the friendliest service. They did a fantastic job and we were glad to have met them. We also enjoyed lunches, it was another ballgame, fresh ceviches, tacos 🌮, club sandwiches 🥪 you name it, all the good stuff. We also enjoyed drinks during the day while we were at the beach or ordering to the room. The range was great & yummy. We spent most of the day on the beach, it was stunning. Only a few beds, golden Sandy beach, clear & turquoise water. We swam and enjoyed the temperature, the waves were sometimes a bit high. There was security most of the day, not many sellers would walk past during the day and when they do they only stop by if you ask them too, not crazy. One other day I went to the pool at the other hotel, it was really nice, a slightly bigger hotel with 23 rooms. Nice and serene, gotta love those small hotels. And another day we had dinner at another sister hotel, same food quality and similar menu, it was really yummy.

The level of service at the hotel was outstanding. We stayed there for two weeks and most of the staff knew our names after a couple of days. They were always stopping to chat and see if everything was okay or could they do anything for you. There are lots of loud beach clubs in the Tulum Hotel Zone but Encantada was not close to any of them. The beach is one of the best feature of Tulum where you can walk for miles in each direction from the hotel on hard packed sand. Other than an indoor and outdoor dining areas the hotel does not have a lot of other facilities although you have access to a pool at a sister hotel across the street. They have a full bar. There are lots of shaded seating on the beach. We had breakfast included and it was very good with fresh juice and fresh fruit plus of list of main items to have like eggs and french toast. We ate at a lot of restaurants while we were there, but we had a few meals (lunch and dinner) at the hotel which we found to be very good and on par or better than some of the other places we ate.The hotel treated to dinner our last night there which was great. The rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. We chose a garden view room which had nice privacy when you sat on the your private patio. The property is so small you could be at the beach in 2 minutes from your room.

Where do I start… this place was a dream all around! The location itself was beautiful beyond words could express. Staff were super attentive, food was good, room was clean, bed & pillows were clouds, literally! I want to start off by thanking concierge, Isabel & Victoria. Prior to arriving, they were extremely helpful setting up transportation from and to the airport, booking massages, & setting up dinner reservations. I personally dealt with Isabel more in person & she was a sweetheart overall. You do communicate with them via the WhatsApp, which made it super easy since my cellphone was with me at all times. Our room was Mar. Beach front view right next to the deck… It was the perfect location, perfect everything! If we do return I will dedicate pick the same room. It saved us from going up and down the stairs. The room was beautiful, clean, aesthetically appealing, & we got to see the sunrises from our bed! Food was okay. Breakfast was good overall, except on Sunday. Dont know if it was a different chef, but overall breakfast was pleasant. Lunch was okay. We didnt have dinner there since we had reservations at different local restaurants. My go to each morning was coffee, juice, fruit bowl, eggs bacon toast plate with a side of avocado toast. We mainly got served by Augustin & let me tell you…. He was such an amazing server!! Always on time, always helpful, always asking if we needed anything. Augustins customer service was superb & made our stay that MUCH special! Also All maintenance staff and cleaning girls were amazing!! I cannot stop raving about the entire experience! Every dollar spent was extremely well worth it!! Since the bed was like sleeping on clouds, we lifted the covers to see the brand (lol) they are based off Mexico City. Which works perfectly since my sister in law lives there. Even though we live in California, we are going to be ordering the same exact bed set (except mattress). I thought our bed back home was super comfortable, but Encantada proved us otherwise! Again, overall it was a 10/10 experience! Thank you to ALL staff!! We cannot wait to be back!! You guys were all amazing!! P.s Our anniversary is in November. Even though we were here for my cousins wedding at NU, we wanted to also celebrate our 11yr anniversary & Encantada made it so special for us!! Mil gracias por todos los detalles!! ♥️

You could ask any one of them for something, go to the front desk, or What’s App the front desk if you need something! We would definitely recommend.

Beautiful hotel and spa. We stayed on the second floor facing the ocean, and you could hear the waves at night. . The service at the hotel was exceptional, as well as the company they use for private excursions. We appreciated the great recommendations to the restaurants close by as well!

We traveled here for a couples trip for a few days. The location is right in the heart of the hotel area of Tulum, on the beach. We booked a 2nd level suite, but did not book an oceanfront room. The lobby is outside, and it consists of a small desk right outside of the restaurant. We received welcome drinks when we arrived, (margarita or mojito), which was nice. The room gives romantic-rustic vibes, but it was definitely more rustic than I anticipated. While it was clean, don’t expect any modern amenities. There is not much privacy in the bathroom, and the shower has no door, as it’s essentially carved out of the wall. The door is a door to the toilet, in the form of a water closet. The bed was kingsize and there was a lovely canopy above it. However, the top of the canopy was full of straw that would drop onto it from the ceiling. Housekeeping came in daily to thoroughly clean the room, but there is so much sand that gets into the room once you enter from outside. The hotel does have a pot of water outside each room with which to rinse your feet before going up to the room. There are a ton of mosquitos and they were inside the room too. That was a huge hindrance to the trip and because the rooms are essentially tree houses, many mosquitoes got into the room. Bring repellent and you’ll need to wear it inside the room too. The beach had covered and uncovered seating, and you can get food service on the beach. The water in the ocean is warm but it’s not the crystal blue some might expect. The beach chairs were kind of dirty and could use a good cleaning, but we enjoyed the beach nontheless. The hotel is great about booking ATVs or other excursions you might want to do. The staff was friendly and accommodating and helpful. Travelers should be mindful that Tulum is VERY overpriced and this hotel is no exception. The prices at the restaurant were very EXPENSIVE. You will pay a lot for very little, so please come prepared. The food was fresh and the breakfast was good. They’ll serve breakfast to you on your terrace if you want to eat there, which is nice. However, there were lots of birds that came onto the terrace trying to steal food while we ate, and that interrupted the outdoor eating experience for us. Something to be mindful of for anyone who decides to have breakfast outside. The hotel is very close to other beach clubs and restaurants, which is nice. There are also many shops around. The hotel restaurant includes TIP IN THE FINAL BILL, once you get the bill – it is included in the final total that they give you. They will not tell you this, so make sure you look at your bill. This hotel was OK, but I am not sure I would recommend it to other travelers. The amenities did not justify the high cost and it was too rustic for my personal tastes, and was not modern enough. Also, we booked airport transportation directly thought the hotel and it was $400 roundtrip. That is OUTRAGEOUS. It was quite frankly, insulting, how much they’re trying to rip off tourists in that regard. The aesthetic is great in theory, but the hotel is much more rustic than they’d have you believe. I need more comfortable and modern accommodations. The service was good and there were definitely some things I liked about the hotel. However, I would not stay here again the next time I come to Tulum and could not recommend to other visitors.

We absolutely loved our stay at Encantada. The staff were friendly and generous and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully presented. If you’re looking for a quiet part of the beach with great food and drink, look no further.

We just returned home after staying at Encantada for 3 nights. The hotel and the staff were the highlight of our trip to Tulum. While there are many restaurants and clubs nearby, we ended up having many of our meals at the hotel’s beach deck. The breeze, privacy, view of the ocean and the wonderful staff made us feel it was not worth venturing out much. We had one of the ocean beach upper level rooms (Luna) and it was amazing!!! While it was not ocean front, we still had a wonderful view of the ocean and the palm trees swaying in the wind. The breeze in the balcony is indescribable. The staff at this property are amazing as they are genuinely interested in making your stay a memorable one. If you already made the decision to come to Tulum and want an intimate and papered vacation, do not hesitate and book your room. You won’t regret it.

The whole team there is so friendly and especially Edi (one of the waiters there) was fantastic. It’s really paradise. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. They have no shower door or courtain, hence, it all gets wet when you shower. Food options are limited and they are time restricted, for instance, you can’t have pasta for lunch or a sandwich for dinner. Breakfast is poor and they changed the lovely bread basket for a Costco croissant and they don’t even have butter or jelly. My advice is to go out for breakfast. It’s great for relaxing but you get endless questions from the staff, specially the front desk lady, they don’t have to know every single detail of your Life or trip. It’s annoying. For this, even though it’s beautiful, I would have second thoughts of returning. It’s expensive and there are lot of places in Tulum to stay.

We visited Tulum for a few days in March as a last minute escape from the chilly northeast. Our stay at Encantada was lovely. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming (especially Liz and Abby - concierge/front desk), and went out of their way to make our trip all it could be. The accommodations were a little on the rustic side, but since the property is right on the beach, the eroding affects of the wind and salty air must make it difficult to keep the premises looking pristine. The breakfasts on the beach deck were a wonderful way to start each day. And a night cap made by Jesus at the end of the day went down well.
