Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort & Spa

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this resort, especially for families with young children. One of the biggest highlights was the food. For an all-inclusive resort, the quality, variety, and presentation exceeded our expectations. Every meal was delicious, with plenty of options for different tastes, and the overall dining experience was excellent. This is a fantastic hotel for families traveling with small children. We traveled with a toddler and a baby, and the Explorer’s Club was one of the best parts of our stay. Our toddler absolutely loved it. The club offers a wide variety of activities, the staff was wonderful, and the operating hours were very convenient, giving parents some flexibility while knowing their children were having a great time. The beach is beautiful, with crystal-clear water and a gorgeous setting. The only downside is that the shoreline is quite rocky when entering the water, so water shoes are definitely recommended. Once you swim farther out, the rocks and seaweed disappear, making it much more enjoyable. Our room was comfortable, and the beds were excellent. However, we stayed in a Standard Tropical View room, and it felt noticeably more worn than other room categories. We visited family and friends staying in upgraded rooms, and although the furniture was essentially the same, those rooms looked much newer, brighter, and better maintained. In our room, the flooring looked old and stained, which unfortunately gave the impression that it wasn’t clean, even though it likely was. Updating the floors would make a significant difference in the overall appearance of these rooms. The only other area that could use improvement was the restaurant service. The waitstaff was consistently friendly, attentive, and eager to help, but there simply weren’t enough servers for the number of tables they were responsible for. As a result, service was often slower than expected, both at the buffet and at the à la carte restaurants. This seemed to be a staffing issue rather than a reflection of the employees themselves. Overall, we had a great family vacation. The outstanding food, beautiful beach, comfortable beds, and exceptional children’s facilities made for a memorable stay. With some updates to the Standard Tropical View rooms and additional restaurant staff, the experience would be even better.

second time at a dreams resort, first in cozumel. we really liked the size, not as vast as other all-inclusives. more intimate but still just enough to do. there was usually only one other restaurant other than the buffet open but the food is really good. the rooms were very clean and nice and cool! what you’ve read about the beach is true: it’s quite rocky! but worth it to go out just a little way to snorkel. there was always some chairs available at the pool, though it didn’t seem like the resort was at capacity. the staff are friendly and attentive. there were just enough activities to have fun (zumba and bingo by the pool, magic shows and kareoke at nite). but not crazy loud over the top activities or music. it was really nice. we’d go back!

I highly recommend going to this resort everyone there was so friendly and welcoming! One of the workers, Gerry made the trip a 10/10 to a 100/10 he was kind and could make everyone feel included! When you go look for Gerry and you will feel at home he definitely deserves a raise he was the best employee hands down! I have been to many resorts and this one was the best because of Gerry!!

My stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The accommodation was comfortable, spotless, and beautifully maintained, making it feel like a home away from home. The food was exceptional, with a great variety of delicious options that exceeded my expectations at every meal. The quality, presentation, and flavors were outstanding. What truly made the experience special was the incredible staff. Every member of the team was friendly, welcoming, sweet, and always willing to help with a smile. Their kindness and professionalism made me feel valued and well cared for throughout my stay. The service was excellent in every aspect, and the attention to detail was impressive. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I can’t wait to return!

Very clean resort. Small resort with restaurants in one area. Stayed in Oceanview suite and it was very clean with comfortable bed. Food was decent with a good variety each day. Some restaurants were not regularly open but we had Preferred pass so we could access Secrets next door. Pizzeria and Bordeaux were excellent. Staff were excellent and very willing to help. Enjoyed the included activities. Beach - I wish we would have known about the rockiness of the beach and water due to coral reef. We had floaties which helped us. Water shoes for next time! Would definitely return for a vacation again!

We loved Dreams Cozumel. For a snorkeling vacation, you can't beat being close to the beach with easy water access to an array of tropical fish, some of which I hadn't seen before. But I do caution people to take water shoes! The resort itself is smaller, which we liked and the intimacy of the resort in terms of size; quality of service was excellent. Highly recommend upgrading for the beachfront view. The sunsets were beautiful.

The communication was excellent. The hotel is new, the rooms are excellent, and the staff keeps everything in excellent order. I was very pleased that there are no wristbands, so you're free to go. Also, the service with towels on the beach and everywhere else is excellent. No cards, and there are plenty of towels everywhere. Thank you very much. Just be aware that there are a lot of steps everywhere and no accessibility support especially to go to the beach ⛱️

My husband and I went to Dreams Cozumel April 16-23/26. We had a wonderful time. This was our second time at Dreams and we weren't disappointed. The rooms are clean and we'll stocked, the staff is very attentive to all your needs. We changed rooms the first day because of a air conditioner issue, the staff at the lobby were very accommodating - wanting us to be happy with the room. We had someone help us with our luggage both times, I believe his name was Juan. The food was fantastic- with having so many options from the buffet at Dreams and Secrets to all the a la cartes at both places. There will always be something for everyone. We had a great experience while there with one of the managers, Adrian. He was talking to my husband when it was Mexican night at the buffet at Dreams. My husband asked if they had chimichangas (not sure if I spelled it right). Adrian said no not tonight but we could make you some. The next night they came out with the chef to serve us our dinner. They were delicious! It was such a wonderful gesture, we appreciated that so much. Thank you Adrian, chef and buffet staff. Thank you to all the staff to both resorts. We would definitely recommend Dreams, Secrets and Cozumel for anyone considering either of these properties and Cozumel as a vacation destination. They do a great job.

Just back from a week at Dreams Cozumel Cape and VERY highly recommend for the kind and helpful people who work there, as well as the beautiful spaces!! Lots of snorkling and diving here because it's Cozumel, but I don't do either of those things and still had the most wonderful relaxing time at the beach and pool.  The pool has a swim-up bar with all of the options, and there is a beach-side bar as well, plus servers come around to folks on the lounge chairs regularly at the pool and beach, taking order for drinks.  Brought my water shoes so I could enjoy going into the water (coral reef and very rocky!) and relaxing in the hammocs they have set up in the ocean! The entertainment team does a fantastic job setting up activities throughout the day -- shout out to Aaron for going above and beyond setting up yoga by the beach, organizing beach volleyball, and leading a super-fun aqua-aerobics class at the pool! Rooms were clean and airy and well-stocked with snacks (pringles, m&ms), Bacardi, and a fridge full of waters, beer, seltzer, and various sodas.  They have Nespresso coffee machines and provide decaf on request.  Restocked every day.  Each room has a patio and ours was especially nice for drinks and people-watching!  Rooms have slippers, a beach bag, and a steamer available for clothes.  Nice big shower with one of those clotheslines you can pull out over it, to dry swimsuits. Buffet is available for all three meals, and the breakfast buffet was consistently delicious.  Carolina at the World Cafe was a particularly amazing server, checking in on us regularly and making sure we knew what all our options were!  The taqueria outside is available for dinner most nights -- very unassuming setup and the best tacos!  Options even in that small space (hard/soft shell, cheese/ beans/ pork/ beef/ chicken . . . . .).  The Coco Cafe has nice coffee drinks 7 am thru 11 pm -- including decaf options and milk options (2%/light, soy, almond, lactose-free!).  We also enjoyed some a-la-carte options like Olio (Italian). Checking in and out was super easy.  Bell Captain Rudy was there on our first and last days and provided incredible service with orientation at the beginning, and airport transfers at the end. All in all a fantastic resort with fantastic people!
