Cozumel Palace

Everything was fantastic from Maria at breakfast to Martha and Silvia at the restaurants. They give the best hugs. Heri at breakfast is very attentive to everyone. Elizabeth was our pool waitress and in the lounge in the evening. She was always there with whatever you needed. Juan and Raul and Reyes at the bar will fix you up if you don’t know what you want. We would also like to say thanks to the spa staff. Janet,Lourdes,Mine,Luze,Jara and Juanita. Very relaxing. Last we would like to say thanks to Susana our housekeeper. Great job! In closing we would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout to Emanuel the diamond concierge. He is always on the move but also has a moment to chat with you or answer any questions. The staff is definitely what makes it memorable

Second night dining at Bugambilias. Absolutely phenomenal! Service, food, ambiance was 10 out of 10. Our server William made our experience that much better as he helped us with food choices, explained how certain food dishes were from different regions in Mexico and how they are prepared. He shared lots of great information about the culture. And shared some of his personal recipes to take home with. While I am writing this review my wife is actually making us another reservation at Bugambilias for tomorrow night! Thanks again for a great reminder how service should be! William is a awesome human!

As far as we were concerned, our vacation commenced the moment that our Private Transportation delivered us and our luggage to the lobby entrance of the Cozumel Palace. We were greeted immediately by Mr. David Balderrama Ramirez and members of his Concierge Team, who were extremely instrumental and efficient in booking all our dinner reservations, spa treatments, excursion reservations, pool loungers, etc., even before arriving at the resort. Following our private check-in process in David’s office, we were escorted by the entire Concierge Team to the one-and-only 3-Bedroom Villa that we were fortunate to reserve approximately 9-months prior to our arrival. A quick tour of the Villa revealed, not only, the presence of 3 bedroom suites each equipped with their own complete bathrooms, but also a game room that was equipped with a pool table and two beverage refrigerators, a “Great Room” consisting of a dining room, kitchenette, living room, and an extra lavatory, and a butler’s pantry. Interestingly, the game room had several egresses that lead to a wrap-around front balcony. The balcony proved to be very useful while watching San Miguel’s “Carnaval” Parade, which passed in front of the Cozumel Palace. Lastly, the far end of the “Great Room” had a sliding-door egress that opened-up to a very immense exterior veranda that overlooked a major portion of the resort. Immediately apparent was a 4-person jacuzzi hot-tub that was situated at the near-end of the patio and at the far-end of the patio there was a classically designed gazebo, which came in handy while relaxing after dinner with a cocktail in hand. We typically reserve our first dinner at any given resort at a Pan-Asian Restaurant and, if possible, at a Teppanyaki Table. Although, the Cozumel Palace does not have this type of dining venue available within the Momo Asian Restaurant, their assortment of ala carte selections was satisfactory and the menu items that we ordered were fabulous. Our vacation group enjoyed the Asian Cuisine so much that we decided to also have our final dinner of our vacation at the Momo Asian Restaurant. Besides the Momo Asian Restaurant, we also had dinner reservations at the Bugambilias Mexican Restaurant, the Flamingos Grill, and the Gondola Italian Restaurant. It is noteworthy to mention that we were not disappointed with the cuisine at any of the restaurants. We also participated in two special dinner events. The first special dinner event was a Romantic Dinner that was served to all participants on the sandy beach area of the resort. While at the Romantic Dinner, we were serenaded by a fantastic violin player named Baldo who’s music appeared to be enjoyed by all. The second special dinner event was a Private Dinner that was served in the dinette area of our villa. The “Chef’s Choice” dinner entre was “Surf’n’Turf” which consisted of exquisitely seasoned and cooked whole lobster and beef tenderloin. Members of our entire vacation group were really surprised about how good everything tasted. Besides participating in a few activities, most of our vacation time was spent lounging around the pool absorbing the sun’s rays, imbibing our favorite beverages, munching on typical pool foods, and making new friends. At this time and before I forget, I think that it is important to mention that the person responsible for reserving what we were told was the most coveted pool loungers at the primary pool was Emmanuel, the Pool Concierge. Emmanuel was extremely diligent in his duties making certain that all “reserved” pool loungers were adequately identified before 9am every morning. Also, a special mention must go out to Alan, who was a member of the Pool’s Waiter Staff, who always made sure that our cups were filled with our beverage of choice. At the end of a long, back-breaking day of lounging, eating, drinking, (did I say) lounging, and dinner, we typically spent the next hour or two relaxing in the gazebo (see photo) at the back section of our veranda sipping on our preferred cocktail. It is noteworthy to mention that in the morning of most vacation days we were treated by the sight of cruise ships sailing into one of the two ports within San Miguel, Cozumel (see photo). That is it for now ! I suspect that if you are a senior vacationer like me, you won’t be disappointed if you decide to vacation at the Cozumel Palace !

food was great. service excellent. The only downside was the lack of available seats around the pools. The diamond club and other levels took almost every seat up and reserved them early in the morning. No available loungers even though sign said no reserving. Would like it to be easier to use the credits and have more info avail on that. Or more options to take a boat out through the resort

Excellent experience, services were excellent, staff was friendly and welcoming, facilities and property were clean and welcoming. Small resort feeling. Special recognition to Ivan at the Gondola. He is first class all the way. Made our dining experience first class every time. Marta, the morning hostess at the breakfast buffet is always welcoming and pleasant. Welcomed us by name every morning, impressive. Marie, evening hostess at Gondola, provided the same excellent and friendly service. As a result we at diner at Gondola four of our eights nights during our stay. Gabriel, Paul, and Julio offered friendly, top notch service at Flamingo’s. The entertainment staff is outstanding, Moises, Charlie (aka Charlie Jackson). Guadeloupe and Maury offered excellent service at the spa. Cozumel is quickly becoming one of our favorite Palace resorts for their consistent quality of service.

Outstanding Service. The staff is very friendly - they call you by name. The spa is wonderful. The weather was an issue this year as our dives were canceled a couple of days. Need another dive boat as I heard they were full on a couple days. We have been coming here for years with our family and friends and are looking forward to our next trip.
