We stayed here for 2 weeks. The room was comfortable, with a patio and loungers. It's a smaller resort, so never overcrowded. It's right on the beach, but there are lovely gardens with loungers. It has a nice pool, which was never overcrowded. The only downside we had was the food. It was very samey, but because of its location, there are other places you can eat. The staff were great, and especially Chad,Anthony, Karen, Keiran and Nickarsha.

Would be happy to return there and we booked following recommendation from friends who are going back next year. Rooms need a bit of updating but other than that we were very happy. Added bonus is you don't need plug converters as they are UK 3 pronged sockets!! This was our Third return visit to this most Exceptional Hotel. For a change we were on an Inclusive Package. The Lunch & Dinner were similar to the Breakfast with a wide range of Excellent presented Dishes. The Beach Bar is a great addition. All the Staff with their Smiling...

This was our Third return visit to this most Exceptional Hotel. For a change we were on an Inclusive Package. The Lunch & Dinner were similar to the Breakfast with a wide range of Excellent presented Dishes. The Beach Bar is a great addition. All the Staff with their Smiling Faces & Friendly/Sincere Attitude add to the unique atmosphere. The Evg Entertainment was perfect & left an unforgettable Experience of Dancing under the Moon & Stars to the Melodic Steel Band. We were accompanied by another Couple who were on their Honeymoon, it was their first visit to Grenada/Coyaba Hotel & echo our thoughts. We have all already enquired to return in January 2026.

We had an amazing stay the first week of December and will definitely be back to the Coyaba. It had everything we wanted for a truly relaxing vacation. Located on one of the nicest stretches of Grand Anse beach. Food was very tasty and drinks were delicious. Be sure to try both the nutmeg and rum & raisin ice creams! The size of the resort was lovely as the beach, restaurants, and pool were within easy walking distance. The garden tour with Andy was one of the highlights of our trip and we also enjoyed the nature walk. In the main lobby there is a book exchange library with something for everyone. A very cozy touch that contributed to the homey feel. Staff were very helpful. We can hardly wait to return.

What a beautiful stay my husband and I had at Coyaba Beach Resort. The visitors and staff where incredibly friendly and so accommodating. Our room was cute and clean with our very own private sitting area outdoors. We got turn down service every night, with chocolates and fresh beach towels for the next day. Food was excellent with good variety and the drinks where plentiful. The ambiance at dinner was really pretty with the lights and wonderful service. The grounds where impeccable, with lots of tropical plants and blooms galore. Grande Anse Beach was one of the best beaches we've ever walked and we sure got alot of steps in. If you're looking for a party scene, this resort is not for you. It's a quiet, intimate and an incredibly laid back vacation spot. We'll definitely be back to this little gem of an island.

Great location on a wonderful beach. The room was fine and the gardens are nicely maintained. Food was ok, nothing luxurious but plentiful and tasted good. All-inclusive package did us well. We did a couple of really good yoga sessions with very good teachers. I used the gym several times- this would be my only criticism - the equipment was not the best… Overall, we had a great time.

Stayed here in November 2024. After a heavily delayed flight, we finally arrived. No welcome drink or a towel. Nothing. Good start. We could hear this really loud noise. Turns out there is some sort of football ground/outdoor public venue space. And when we arrived they had bingo on. Blaring...

Stayed here in November 2024. After a heavily delayed flight, we finally arrived. No welcome drink or a towel. Nothing. Good start. We could hear this really loud noise. Turns out there is some sort of football ground/outdoor public venue space. And when we arrived they had bingo on. Blaring out of the speakers for hours. The noise happened a lot during out stay with football matches. Not great when you're trying to sleep. It's a bit strange as there is absolutely no atmosphere at the resort. So all you can hear is music/bingo from next door. Breakfast is OK. Does get a little boring by the end of the 2 weeks. But it is what it is. Sunbeds are the old white plastic ones. And the cushions they have and very soiled. Have some sort of black mold looking stuff over them. Beach is nice. But it's a public beach and has absolutely nothing to do with the resort. People keep saying on the reviews of the resort about the beach. It's not connected to the resort. You can drag your sunbeds into it. Dinner is pretty awful. Same pork/chicken/fish every day. Just with a different sauce. We asked a few times when ordering if we could have some stuff taken out of the dishes as we don't like some vegetables. They seemed to write it down. But the food came with the stuff we asked to be removed. How some people have said the food here is amazing is beyond me. It's just not. I appreciate it's a small place. So they can't do loads of different things. But at least they could make sure the things they do are actually nice. Some people who stay here just have a really low standard of what's nice compared to us. We smoke. There are no seats anywhere in the outside areas in this resort. Sunbeds and that's it. Nowhere to sit and have a chat and a cigarette after dinner. You can stand by the entrance to the restaurant and have one. But that's it. If we'd known this before we came, we definitely would not have booked. If you smoke don't come here. Night time entertainment is pretty bad. Singers just making songs you know sound depressing. Probably why everyone is in bed by 9. They've been bored to sleep. Animal cruelty is really bad here. Probably out of everywhere I've been on holiday, I have never seen people be so horrible to animals. Locals throwing rocks at dogs. Trying to hit them with sticks. Security guards throwing rocks from inside the resort onto the beach tyring to hit dogs. It's shocking to see. But all the staff enjoyed it as they were all laughing and smiling. I appreciate when we go to these third world counties they don't behave the way we do. But you'd just hope people would have something about them. We told someone at the front desk that their staff definitely shouldn't be doing this at all. Let alone in full view of guests. But they all seem to hate animals. So nothing was done. They catch cats in cages and leave them in the cages for hours and hours. In the blistering heat and rain. And even in the cages when they fog the resort for mosquitos. Really bad to witness. And just cruel. Beds were so uncomfortable. Metal frame and hard mattress. Water pressure was so bad. Anyone with long hair will struggle to wash their hair. We had no hot water for 2 days. They didn't tell us this. We had to come back to our room for a shower to discover it. Then wait around why they tried to find us somewhere we could have a wash. Although it did give us a glimpse of the other rooms. I always wonder if all the rooms are the same bad quality. And they are. All old dated, bad water pressure and same beds. How can some people say in their review this gives it an authentic feel! And the fact it's family owned. So what!? If its bad it's bad. I don't care less who owns it. If you're looking for somewhere that's on the beach, hates animals, has an outdoor sports venue blaring noise out all night, bad repetitive food, run down rooms, no water pressure, no seats outside for smoking then you should definitely come here. Although if this ticks your boxes, I'd definitely have a look in the mirror. It's without doubt the worse hokiday we've been on.

This is the 3rd time that we have visited family in Grenada and the 1st time at this hotel. We had seen a variety of mixed reviews, however, I wonder where some people actually stayed as the reviews do not represent this hotel. If you are after 5* luxury please look elsewhere!! If however, you are looking for a locally owned authentic quiet and relaxed hotel then this is for you. We were not disappointed....we loved it. ❤️🇬🇩🇬🇩🇬🇩❤️ We had a fantastic time here and could not fault anything, yes the rooms are a little tired and could do with updating, however it has everything you need and the bed was big and comfortable, air con, shower/bathroom all good. Staff were fantastic and always willing to help with anything. Food and drink were good - if you are looking for 5* restaurants then again look elsewhere. The food was tasty and we did not have a problem with finding something to eat, if you have any problems with food you only need to ask and they will do their best to accomodate you. Drinks and cocktails were again great 🍹🍺🥂....there are some restaurants and bars in walking distance if you want a change or you can grab a bus or taxi to visit other places. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and so much effort is made maintaining them, the garden staff take such pride in their work. 🌴🌾💐🌺 All sat on one of the best beaches 👀🌅🏝️🏝️...what is not to like! Chill and Relax.....we will be back.🌹🌞🌞🌞🌹

This resort is not for people looking for night life. It is very quiet and intimate with it turning into a ghost town by 11 pm. Can't wait to go back.

For the major part we really enjoyed our stay here, it is a bit dated but this adds to the feeling of being in the caribbean, it has soul. The rooms are a good size with balcony or terrace with furniture, we stayed in a ocean view with an absolutely HUGE bed which was very comfortable. Air con worked well and bathroom was adequate. Room was cleaned to a very good standard every day with towel changes, including beach towels. There is a fridge but no mini bar. Safe is free to use. The hotel is relatively small which is nice as it never seemed too busy even when full. Both restaurants were good, served the same food but the pool bar is more relaxed with clothing, shorts were allowed in the main restaurant as long as they are smart and with proper shoes/trainers. On the whole the food was a good standard with a good choice on the buffet or there is a set menu available in the main restaurant. The only thing i didn't like was the ribeye steak i paid extra for on our last evening. Nothing like the ribeye you get in the uk and was like shoe leather. Bars are good and serve a good selection of drinks, the new beach bar serves a great IPA if you like that sort of thing. Keron makes great mohjito's and gin & tonics. There is usually some sort of entertainment at night which was also good. The grounds of the hotel are spotless but it does come with a price of noisy strimmers going most days if you choose to sit in the grounds or close to the fence on the beach. All sunbeds, and there are plenty are pulled inside the grounds at night and you will be lucky to get one of the staff to drag them onto the beach for you, only had this 3 times in 2 weeks. All the staff are good, gardeners, security, waitng staff etc all smile and are polite. The beach is probably one of the best we have been to, it rivals anywhere in the world including the maldives and is one of the few caribbean islands that doesnt (at the moment) suffer with the influx of sargassum weed. We only done 2 trips, one a full day to rum factory, chocolate museum and nutmeg museum with a stop off at the concord falls, it was a long day and the roads are all like our country roads in the uk with the exception of a couple. The other trip was whale and dolphin watching which was absolutely fantastic, although we never managed to find dolphins we did see a lot of sperm whales, amazing creatures to see swimming along in the wild. The trip run by first impressions pick you up at the hotel and included sandwiches and drinks and was around a 4 hour trip. One thing to note if you are looking for a peaceful break, there is a community arena opposite the hotel which hosts a weekend event once a month i think which does include them playing really loud music which in itself wouldnt be too bad but it is all bass, you could feel it even sitting in the restaurant or your room, also goes on all day saturday and sunday and up till about 10pm Something you may want to find out dates of and book accordingly. There is a selection of shops opposite the hotel including a well stocked supermarket and even a KFC if you fancy. BBC beach is about a 20 minute walk, a small cove with a few bars but the beach is not as good as grand anse. We are booked to go again next year as there are still a few other places we want to visit and the location is beautiful.

We had 11 nights at Coyaba for our honeymoon, and we really loved it. The hotel is more traditional Caribbean rather than modern and glitzy, but this added to its charm. The gardens are beautiful. Right on Grande Anse beach which was amazing, soft white sand and turquoise warm waters - we only had one dip in the pool as the sea was far better! Great beach bar and large selection of cocktails. Food was delicious. Eco dive is next door and we made use of their snorkels and a kayak, and also booked a scuba dive. Really enjoyed our time there and would recommend.

We were late to arrive due to a delayed flight, we assume this is the reason why we were not offered a welcome drink or cool towel, not a major but not the best first impression. We were then taken to our room, one of the closest to the car park and subsequently very close to the local football pitch, that on our night of arrival had some kind of very loud bingo event with blaring music. This also happened again the next night and then we had 3 football matches that also blare music throughout, very unpleasant sitting on the balcony. The room was a twin, we asked to be moved to a double but after asking 3 times we gave up. The rooms are small and basic, beds cheap metal framed, very dated. We asked for mattress toppers but the hotel doesn't have these, something we have normally been provided at other hotels. The water pressure is awful, struggled to wash my hair. The room has a fridge but it isn't stocked, something again we thought was very poor, over our two week holiday we spent a fair amount of money in the supermarket opposite the hotel so we could have a drink in the room without having to go to the bar every 20 minutes. The beach/sea are absolutely beautiful, this was by far the best part of the holiday, but actually has nothing to do with the hotel. The pool was pretty grim, very small and murky so we never went in it. We went on the beach every day, you have to drag your own sunbeds out onto the beach or lay on them behind the fence between the hotel and beach. We had read that the staff help get the beds onto the beach, in two weeks this happened about 3 times. There are stray dogs on the beach, as a dog lover it was a pleasure being met by these happy souls every day, on the downside the locals were not a fan of the dogs and the beach vendors were particularly horrible to them, there was one dog in particular that would bark at them as soon as soon as he saw them, this clearly comes from being mistreated, we witnessed the vendors shouting at the dogs and then throwing things at them, it was an awful experience for people like us. The security on the beach border seemed to be tasked with keeping the dogs out of the resort, which I understand but when it's their main priority it seems ridiculous especially when we saw someone blatantly dragging sunbeds from the resort down the beach presumably to steal. On our last day and what really put the nail in the coffin for us was when we witnessed a security guard throwing rocks from inside the resort out to the beach at the dogs and then hearing one yelp, absolutely disgusting behaviour, I addressed this directly with him and he argued with me and I raised it with the manager who couldn't have cared less. In regards to food, we heard other people enjoying it etc and was pretty confused as we found it mediocre at best, apart from Indian food night which was good, and ended up eating out a fair amount which after paying for all inclusive isn't ideal but we couldn't face another chicken, fish or pork option! We tried the pizza one day thinking they couldn't get that wrong, turns out they could, had some weird sweet tomato sauce on it. Breakfast was good, the standard bacon, sausage, egg/pancake station. They say there are two restaurants but these are served from the same kitchen, the pool restaurant has the same menu every day, it never changes. Then they have the restaurant where you had to be smarter, absolutely zero atmosphere. There needs to be some kind of snack options for lunch, something you can get to go, a wrap or portion of chips to take to the beach with you, we didn't want to a have a full sit down meal every lunch but this is the only option. If you smoke don't go here, there is nowhere for you to sit and smoke, and I mean not one area at all in the whole hotel, although you can smoke in the resort and on the beach. To summarise we won't be returning, the animal cruelty was too much for us and I spent the last 4 days in tears fairly regularly, the food was not good enough, the staff were hit especially the bar staff in the beach bar were mainly miserable along with lack of basic amenities/facilities.

Having a walk in and a way to clean off sand would be better. Main restaurant feels dated and service often not that good. Ate in the main restaurant for breakfasts which are Ok but a bit samey after a while. The pool side dining was great for lunches - except the pizza (do not have one!) and the bars all good. The main restaurant is supposed to be fine dining but the food doesn't live up to this at all and ambience / service not that friendly. Opted to eat after a couple of nights in the pool restaurant which is more open and relaxed. The main issue through for us was lack of variety especially in the vegetables - the holy trinity of carrots, pumpkin and green beans (usually not cooked very well) appeared on most nights. We did try swapping these a couple of times to salads - sometimes it could be done at others it was mixed up or advised no salads available! Puddings a bit hit and miss - desserts that are set used way too much gelatin. Ice creams a bit limited but very good - often had the pud (small slices) with a side. There can be quite a lot of noise with other nearby bars playing loud music so you get used to that. Pool is small but not used by many as the beach is so close. Beach bar is great to have so you can quickly get refreshments. The beach can get busier at the weekend. The watersports place (Eco Dive) is helpful and you get free use of SUPs / kayaks / snorkelling gear and the Hobie Cat (as long as you know how to sail it). Not restricted to where you can go although the marine life was a bit limited. Felt a bit let down as the weekly tour on a Saturday organised by the hotel couldn't run the 2nd Saturday when we booked - surly other times it would be fuller and make up for any 'loss'. Many of the hotel staff are lovely and friendly but there were certainly some staff who could do with some customer training and didn't come across well. Overall would recommend the place but it tends to over state how good it is - if it could improve and update a bit then it would be a truly memorable experience. TUI - let down on the return - given a slip for the date and time on arrival but no taxi showed up for the 2 couples that went via TUI. The hotel arranged a taxi and got us through in time.

Coyaba is not a sleek high end resort providing fine dining and luxury. What Coyaba is, is welcoming, comfortable, thoughtful and undemanding. If you want somewhere to relax and recharge come here. Also to Chad whose mission in life is to ensure you never have an empty wine glass. The hotel is well maintained with immaculate gardens. Its position is the best on Grande Anse beach. You step into the gardens on to the beach and into the beautiful Caribbean Sea. I’ve read previous reviews which criticised the food. One criticism was the variety. I don’t know if there’s been a positive effort to address this but it felt like there was a lot of choice from the buffet or set menu. Always chicken, fish, pork, beef and vegetable dishes. A few special evenings - pasta, Indian and BBQ. Lunchtimes offered salads and buffet or toasted sandwiches / pizza. It’s easy to get into St George’s by a local bus which picks up close to the hotel. Quite an experience but safe and worth doing. Clientele were largely British, mostly around retirement age. There were 3/4 children there during our 10 day visit. They seemed to be enjoying their time but there are no specific facilities for them

We booked a "bed and breakfast" package at the hotel and stayed in an upstairs room with a view over the pool. On arriving at the hotel we were greeted with lots of smiles and a rum punch and were quickly sorted out with our room. The hotel is next door to Umbrellas on Grande Anse beach which is highly regarded, so our first evening was spent there. The next day we did what we did every morning - shoes off, shirts off, walk the entire length of Grande Anse beach from one end to the other to earn our breakfast. The choice at breakfast is "OK" - the omelette station is the highlight. There's a shopping centre across the road from the hotel with a supermarket (they do a takeaway lunch - busy!) so you can stock up on drinks and snacks and put in the fridge in the room. The room itself was always kept clean. A couple of times we had to chase fresh beach towels, but that was easy to sort out quickly with reception. We arranged a couple of trips using the hotel - on Friday we went to "Fish Friday" at Gouyave which needed a taxi ride (not prepared to handle the buses for the first time on that trip). The hotel arranged the taxi and the rate, and we treated the driver to his fish dinner as well. We arranged the same driver for an all-day tour the following week, and he looked after us very well with a great round trip back up to Gouyave (this time in the daylight), to go to the Nutmeg museum, up to Sauteurs for lunch, Rivers rum distillery (fire water!!), Grand Etang lake and Annandale Falls. Full day, great fun. The hotel called him a couple of times to make sure everything was OK, which was nice. We walked to the BBC beach a couple of times, much quieter than Grande Anse. We had to get out of the hotel for evening meals so I cannot comment on the food for lunch and dinner in the hotel, but there is plenty of choice outside the hotel within walking distance or a short bus ride/taxi journey away. The one night we did eat there (too drunk after a heavy rainstorm and sheltering in the beachside bar!) the food was really nice and there was a pretty good selection. Considering the size of the hotel I think the breadth of choice was fine. Loved the lasagna! We spent a lot of time on sun loungers by the beachside bar. There was never a problem getting a sunbed, there are so many near the beach or spread around the grounds. We were not "all inclusive" so we had to pay for drinks etc. but that was fine - charge to the room and deal with on checkout. But on the last day we worked out that if we had taken one evening meal at the hotel and had all the drinks on the all-inclusive, it would have been worth paying the extra for the all inclusive package. We do like to get out and try the food in the local area, so there's nothing to stop you doing that, but it still would have worked out cheaper to go all-inclusive and have just 2 evening meals in the hotel. Walking along the beach there are a couple of more expensive hotels but I think the Coyaba has way more character and it felt more like a "country house" with beautiful gardens and more more spread out than the other hotels. I'm happy with our choice and when - WHEN - we go back to Grenada, we will stay at Coyaba again. Good value and excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Shout out to Kim (our room cleaner) who bought us some breadnuts and some soursop leaves to try. And Chad at the bar for looking after us well with copious pina coladas and Stag beers! Keep singing Chad! Will definitely visit again.

We had a really relaxing break at Coyaba. It most certainly is not a perfect resort but is one that represents decent value for money. The beach is incredible, just over 1.1m long and Coyaba is in the middle, it does get busy at weekends as it is a public beach, fortunately there is very little pestering from local vendors! The rooms are adequate, could do with an update but are kept clean, we had a ground floor ocean facing room. We did have a slight issue with our room cleaning on one day but this was resolved. The gardens are very pretty and well kept. The majority of the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. One or two were not , sadly, and we found this disappointing, particularly when reporting an issue. The food is pretty average. Breakfast is fine although the fruit offering was very disappointing. Lunch was better, even though we found the burgers to be poor. We found the evening offering to be underwhelming and other guests felt the same. You can pay extra for ‘premium’ which we did, but it really wasn’t value for money. We only ate in the hotel on five nights of the eleven we were there. Within walking distance there are some decent restaurants and we felt very safe wandering out in the evening. The bar staff are wonderful. Both in the main and beach bar. They work very hard and make some wonderful drinks. The house offering of red wine is not great, also it is served in very small glasses. There is a wine list if you want to pay extra, but this is fairly limited. Would we go back? Definitely yes! The location is amazing and Coyaba really is good value when compared to other resorts locally.

After a 20 minute airport transfer, we were checked in, offered a rum punch & taken to our room. Coyaba Beach resort is a small hotel with just 80 rooms but still contains 2 restaurants, a pool with a swim up bar, central bar, beach bar, a shop, a spa, a gym, a tennis court, a shuffleboard, a table tennis table & access to water activities such as canoeing, snorkelling & scuba diving. Some activities are complimentary. There are also plenty of sunbeds, more so than the number of guests. Our air conditioned room contained a large bed, large TV (however most stations suffered pixelation), a safety deposit box, walk in shower, 2 pool towels, tea & coffee facilities & ice bucket (fillable from a machine outside), an empty fridge & an iron & ironing board. Maid service was daily with an additional towel replacement service around 7 pm. The grounds are extremely well manicured by the garden staff & lead down to it's central location on the beautiful 2.5km long Grand Anse beach with soft sand & very calm & warm turquoise waters. Security staff patrol the beach borders keeping vendors & dogs away from the guests if necessary. The beach bar serves a great range of cocktails & drinks but the standout for my husband was the beer, Windward IPA on draft. The beach bar however is open to the public so can get overrun at times. The main Arawakabana restaurant was generally buffet but on occasions a la carte whereas the Carbet pool restaurant was always a la carte. There was a good variety of food & juices at breakfast from 6.30 am to 10 am with an egg station creating great omelettes & pancakes. Food at the buffet lunch (12.30 pm to 3 pm) & latterly dinner always had 3 options, usually chicken, pork & fish, cooked in different ways but if you want more options then try the Carbet a la carte. On Tuesdays around 6.30 pm there is a meet the management cocktail hour with nibblies on offer with BBQ'd food to follow for dinner. Entertainment was generally every other night & finished around 10 pm. Immediately opposite Coyaba's entrance is a KFC restaurant, a supermarket & a hardware store as well as the bus stop & to the left a few hundred yards away are a number of restaurants. Service at Coyaba did seem a bit hit & miss at times, many of the staff were extremely attentive & happy in their work, others however, not so much so, letting down their colleagues & the owners. Daily temperatures in late October was 33 degrees but barely dropped by 4-5 degrees of a night so the restaurants & seating areas could really do with a better form of air conditioning, the ceiling fans were proving ineffective. All in all we had a very quiet & peaceful stay on Grenada which was exactly what we were looking for.

The location is superb, about 20 minutes form the airport, on the Grand Anse beach claimed to be one of the best in the Caribbean. From the moment we arrived we were treated with courtesy, welcomed with a rum punch, and the most polite and welcoming members of staff. The junior suite was large clean and comfortable with plenty of storage space, ironing board and iron plus spare bedding. Ours was a first floor room with balcony overlooking the pool, restaurants and beach. The gardens were immaculate and well tended with , again, polite and friendly staff. Various managers approached us throughout our holiday checking that we were perfectly happy with the facilities and services, which we were. The pool is small and adequate for cooling off and the poolside bars staff were a delight. Nothing was any trouble for them. The adjoining beach is separate from the property and security ensure no hawkers bother you, although we only every saw two all of our ten night stay there. The beach is perfect. Clean, sandy and beautiful. The water was warm and welcoming, clear with little fear of currents. The beach side bar was a delight with a rota of equally polite and welcoming staff. Alongside was a scuba diving facility where novices could get a full days lessons , initially in the pool but later in the day with a trip into the sea, for around £150. The meals were super too. A reasonable variation each day in the a la carte restaurant but the poolside restaurant was equally enjoyable. Breakfast was plentiful and was buffet style from 6.30 until 10. Sleep quality was very good although it took us a day or two to set up the air conditioning unit to our liking. The unit leaked water once and we reported it and it was immediately resolved. The bars served an enormous amount of cocktails special to the island and hotel, but they were very enjoyable. We met three or four couples who had stayed here before and keep coming back. I can see why. TUI, who we booked the holiday though, you have excelled yourselves finding this treasure.

My wife and I stayed here in August and had a great time here. The island of Grenada is beautiful, and the hotel is perfectly situated to be able to access many of the top sites. A must-stay for those looking for a relaxing, tropical holiday. Check in We found check-in to be a little underwhelming. The porter who greeted us when we got out of the car, was enthusiastic and very welcoming; however, the same could not be said for the member of staff at reception. There was no real smile, we were given a form to fill-in and sign and not made to fill that welcome during the whole process. The fact that after a long day of travelling, we had to fill these forms in whilst standing and we’re not offered a seat did not make us feel particularly special or welcome. We were given a fruit cocktail or a rum punch and a cold towel which was very welcome and refreshing. After filling these forms in, we were then taken to our room. Sadly, there was a mixup from the front desk as to which room we should have been allocated to. This led to the Porter opening the room that we thought we should have only to find that it was already occupied by other guests And for us to see this guest in a state of undress. This was incredibly embarrassing for us and in particular, the poor gentleman who we had walked in upon. I understand that this is not common practice however hopefully lessons have been learned and new protocols have been put in place to ensure that no one has to experience this again. Accommodation The rooms are a little dated, no USB ports and limited plugs. However, they were incredibly comfortable, and a decent size. They were kept clean throughout the week, and a turn-down service is also provided, which is a nice touch. There is a mini-fridge in the room which is empty. Water is not provided as the water from the taps is safe to drink. There is a shop just over the road if you prefer bottled water. Food and Drink The food and drink across the week was delicious. Breakfast was a buffet style, and there was an egg station where they would cook you eggs of your choice fresh for you. Lunch was also a buffet style, although there was also the choice of choosing off the menu if you wanted. The lunch menu was generally things like burgers, sandwiches etc. These were all tasty. The buffet was generally local cuisine and also very nice. Dinner was generally a-la-carte (there were a couple of times when it was buffet - bbq and Indian food) and was lovely. There was usually a choice of four different meals, with one of them being vegetarian. We stayed for 10 nights, and did not have a repeat menu in that time. In regards to drinks, the bar next to the pool opened at 8am, and you were able to get any drink from this time. There were a range of cocktails available as part of the all inclusive, the wine was nice and the beer always refreshing. We took cups to keep our drinks cold, which was a great choice and highly recommended. Staff The staff were generally brilliant: polite, eager to please, and many would remember your regular drink order. The majority of staff, even if they are not directly guest facing (security, gardeners etc) greeted us with a smile and a friendly greeting to ensure that we felt welcome. Grounds and Location The airport is only a short drive away, which is another good point. The hotel is situated on the Grand Anse Beach, so the location is perfect. The sand is lovely and soft, and the water is warm. The grounds inside the hotel are well-maintained, and the staff looking after them work incredibly hard. Another bonus is that there is a wonderful dive school on the grounds which will cater for novices who want to learn, to experienced divers. Overall, our trip to Coyaba bay was fantastic. The hotel is is quite small, which is just what we were looking for. However, for those who are after a party vibe, this is probably not the place for you. Yes there was a rocky start, but the overall holiday was wonderful, and we would definitely come back again.

I enjoyed Coyaba the food is delicious. The people are attentive and friendly. We stayed there during my birthday month and they baked me a delicious cake.

Our third visit to Coyaba, this wonderful hotel just gets better. Check in was seamless and very quick and we were shown to our room . The room was cool (great AC) and spotlessly clean . Staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make your holiday great! Food is delicious and there was a different variety on offer daily. Plenty of beach chairs in and around the hotel and the beach is constantly cleaned as is the hotel . Gardens are beautiful and so well kept , it’s our go to place for peace and tranquility. We can’t wait to return soon . Thankyou to all staff that made our holiday special again!

Coyaba is just steps away from the famous Grand Anse beach, it's stunning. We loved walking along the beach every morning. The sea is fabulously clear and teaming with fish. The beach is one of the best we've ever visited. There is a lovely little beach bar where you can sit and relax with a nice cocktail or beer. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We had a ground floor garden view room, which we loved, we could sit on our terrace in the morning and enjoy the well kept beautiful gardens. The pool was great and we would often go there in the afternoons to relax and chat to others, there is a quiet swim up bar - not your usual loud shouty one though. The food was good, there are two restaurants, both al la carte always lots of choice. If you want a quiet resort with low key entertainment, beautiful beach, nice rooms and easy access to buses to visit other locations then this is your place.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by warm, welcoming staff and a bright, spotless room that immediately set the tone for our stay. And it only got better from there! The beach was stunning, the views were breathtaking, and the overall vibe was exactly what I needed for a truly relaxing vacation. The staff are truly top-notch, always kind, attentive, and going above and beyond. The food? Never boring! Every meal offered a fresh variety, full of flavor and care. As for fresh fruit plenty around and I implore you to utilize the local guy offering fresh mangos beach side every day! To anyone hesitant due to the lack of online reviews (like I was), let me say: don’t let that stop you. This place exceeded my expectations, and I’ve already made up my mind to return next year. As for the complainers? Maybe a vacation at home would suit them better as this place is a gem.

Lovely friendly family run hotel. The grounds and gardens are stunning and the garden maintenance team do an excellent job. The rooms are nicely situated, no one over looking you, very comfortable rooms with daily towel changes including beach towels, daily cleaning service absolutely no complaints. The staff are so friendly and courteous and always willing to assist you, I like fresh milk with my tea and coffee in the room and they were always happy to provide me with a jug. There are three bars which were always manned, the beach bar closing at 6.30/7pm perfect place to watch the sunset. The gardens and beach have plenty of sunbeds so no need to put your towels out at 5am, not something I have ever done but I have seen it happen in many places and it is very annoying and inconsiderate. We were there 14 nights and whilst some complain there is not enough variety we had something different every lunch and dinner, the fish was superb, again the breakfast had plenty of choice, those that complain are usually looking for the same you would have at home, for us we were in Grenada and happy to try their dishes. Evening entertainment was 4 or 5 times a week and all of the singers and steel bands were excellent getting a lot of us up dancing, encouraged by three fantastic barmen, Chad, Joel and Kevon who were a complete joy, thank you. So many I would like to mention but as always don't want to miss anyone out as you were all fabulous. We did the Lobster /Catamaran trip, not particularly cheap but much more refined than the general BBQ boat trips and we had a great day. Will we back, yes excellent holiday, so relaxing and would definitely recommend particularly for couples.

We stayed at this hotel eight years ago and were pleased to see not too much had changed, apart from the great addition of a beach bar, The Cove. On arrival we were warmly welcomed with a lovely cold flannel and great rum punch! Check-in was quick and easy and the hotel had accommodated our request to have two rooms next to each other (we were holidaying with family but separate bookings). The rooms were traditionally furnished, wonderfully cool and light, the large bed was particuarly comfortable and the bathroom (with its large shower) was spotless (the toiletries were lovely as well!). Breakfast was self-service and there was always a good variety on offer (either cold meat, cheese, pastries and cooked), plus of course the egg station. Tea/Coffee was brought to the table and help yourself to juices. Lunch could be had in the main restaurant or if more of a snack was wanted you could go the other restaurant near the pool. Evening meals varied from buffet to a la carte - we were staying for two weeks and only one night we felt the meal was a little dry, however we later learnt that you could ask for extra sauce/gravy. There was a good choice from fish or meat and thankfully not a chip in sight! There was also a range of vegetables, although in typical Caribbean fashion served a little on the hard side for our personal liking. There was entertainment most nights, usually a band or steel pans - unfortunately the singers were far too loud and made for very difficult conversation. There is also a Manager's evening once a week where they come and chat with you, and you also have the chance to buy jewellery, spices etc from the local traders. The setting and staff are what sets this hotel apart, everyone was very friendly and helpful and took the time to chat (if you wanted). The gardens are beautiful and tidied every day, and the beach (with its golden sand) swept clean each morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and would have no hesitation in returning.

Have just returned from 10 nights at Coyada resort. After a long flight we were greeted with cold cloths and a rum punch, which was much appreciated. First impression, friendly staff, beautiful gardens and our room, although a bit tired, was big and very clean. So after a quick change it was off to the pool to cool down. Pool is small and not very deep, we were the only people there, so very quiet. After we had returned to the room unpacked and showered it was time for dinner, this was when we started to question some of the reviews. No one really explained the menu to us, so at the pool you can have the set menu at dinner and the lunch menu. The bigger restaurant is set menu, which changes every day and the al la carte, which didn’t change in the ten days we were there and a buffet lunch. I can understand why people say the food lets this hotel down and I have to agree, the position sizes were ok for me, I’m not a big eater, it was just lacking something, I enjoy my evening meals when I’m on holiday and this just let us down, especially as this is a four star hotel. Another thing is some of the staff, some go the extra mile, others don’t and in all honesty look so feed up, maybe a bit of customer service training. Like walking the customer to their table instead of just asking for your room number and then sit anywhere and not in a happy voice. The other issue for me is, the dress code, you can wear jeans, t shirts and trainers, but a pair of high quality sliders is a no and not asked in a professional manner to change. The beach is beautiful, we walked it most days. No trouble with sun beds either at the beach or poll, you did get the odd person putting their towels down and yes they were British. We did a couple of trip, which were fun and the bus into town is not to be missed. So some of my comments make it’s sounds like we didn’t have a good time, we did. We meet some lovely people also staying there and some of the workers were so polite and positive about their job, just a few let it down. Would we return, I don’t think so, the food lets the hotel down a bit, with a few adjustments this could be an amazing place.

We stayed at the Coyaba for 11 nights during June. The location of the hotel is 5 star, Grand Anse beach is stunning white sand, crystal blue waters and no fight for a sunbed on the beach. The accommodation is typical of the Caribbean, some would say dated but the bed was huge and comfy, modern TV, towels changed every day and kept immaculately clean. We were in room 132 which was quite near the beach and suited us lovely. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary which I had notified the hotel about and we came back from the beach that day to find a beautiful bouquet of flowers and bottle of champagne - nice touch! Food - we would only rate as 3 star, hence giving the hotel an overall 4 star. We understand the hotel is only small but there was little variety. Firstly breakfast - great egg station and there was always bacon and sausage but as a fruit lover there was only melon and occasionally pineapple on the buffet. The pastry station was also poor with most being quite hard and inedible. Lunch - there was an extensive a la carte menu you could choose from with burgers, pizza etc but the buffet was limited. There was always lettuce, tomato and cucumber but no tuna, seafood or meats to make a salad. Lastly dinner - most nights it is a la carte but the offering is mainly, fish starter, then main course is pork, chicken or fish in some form. You could only get steak, lamb if you paid an extra supplement which at a hotel of this quality and rating and what you have paid, you wouldn’t expect. Would we come again - possibly for the location but we would have to build in a budget to either eat elsewhere some of the time or pay the additional supplements. The island of Grenada is beautiful and everyone we spoke to was warm and friendly. We visited St George on the local bus (quite the experience) and also did a private island tour with Tony Taxi which was fantastic.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in April, weather was great and the beach was fantastic, soft white sand, fairly clear warm water. Breakfast was good for those who like cooked breakfasts, however the choice of fresh fruit was poor but when you visit the supermarket you understand why, it’s very expensive as there aren’t many fruit farms here. Overall the food was good, some days not so good, there are only the 2 places to eat, either the restaurant or the pool area, so quite limited choice. The restaurant did change the buffet with themed evenings, and also offering a la carte some nights. The down side for me was the wine, we were on AI but there was only one white wine, one rose and one red wine. There was a wine list with wine starting at €24. This is the first AI we have been to with no choice of white wine. Our resort rep did arrange for them to serve me a Chardonnay at the restaurant at lunch and evening meals throughout the rest of holiday but in afternoon when my husband went to the beach bar it wasn’t available. So grateful for the supermarket across the road where I could a buy a nice Chardonnay and rose and chill it in our fridge in the room. The room 236 which had a nice side sea view, room was a little tired and like other guests state the fridge is empty, no water, no drinks at all, and packets of Nescafé for coffee and a kettle. Air con in our room was good. There wasn’t any coffee machines if you liked a decent coffee, however there is a bar Umbrellas next door where you could get coffees, better wine and was a nice change for lunch. We did a boat trip to another island which was great fun, and took the local bus into St George’s town on day when the cruise ships weren’t in, we had a quick look around, visited the Emerald Jewellers then came back. The Hobie Cat wasn’t available to use for most of our holiday it was in repair, on the last couple of days it became available but the wind was a bit too strong! It is a very laid back resort and some staff stood out for us, Chan, Chantel, Nisha, and Kayla. There was a couple of cats when we first arrived, tabby female who we thought was pregnant, she was very friendly but she disappeared and we were told she wasn't pregnant just well fed and was too familiar with guests and some people just don’t like cats, so they took her away to be re homed. Some entertainment, steel band were great. We both took advantage of a free massage which was very good. If you aren’t fussy with wine and like to drink spirits or cocktails and love a Sandy beach you will definitely enjoy a relaxing holiday here!
