This hotel is so great. The staff are so friendly. The food is great - especially the taco place! I really loved the kids club area too. You can leave your kids for a few hours and they can do crafts piñata, making T-shirt, making, etc. but you can also just have them pop in to play anytime you want for free. Priscila Karla Sofia Paula and Yoana were all so great with the kids!

Beautiful property stayed here in 2024 and came back 2 years later because we loved it so much. I am giving it 4 stars this time instead of 5 for the following reasons 1) We were upgraded to an ocean view room, but unfortunately the trees needed to be cut that the view was completely blocked. 2) The pools are in need of new tile. ESPECIALLY THE ADULT POOL. Not a great feeling being im the pool feelong uneven pool floor. I would think it’s a safety hazard to have tiles from the pool floor loosening.. has the potential to cut someone. I noticed people would put the lose tiles on the edges of the pool. Otherwise it’s a beautiful peaceful property and everyone is very kind and hardworking. I hope next time we return the pool tile situation is reaolved.

We came for 3 nights 4 days with our little girl. The resorts is amazing for families and offered a kids club, which it was my baby’s first time staying at a “daycare”. The staff was just amazing sending me updates and keeping her entertained while me and dad had some time to ourselve at the spa and adults pool. I would most definitely recommend if you have little ones.. thank you Yoana, Paula, Sofia, Karla and Priscilla for making our family stay a great time!!! Would definitely be back

This past weekend, I had the privilege of staying two nights at the fabulous JW Marriott in San José del Cabo for business. The hotel grounds are absolutely immaculate, the rooms are clean and welcoming, and the hospitality from the staff is truly top-notch. I was in need of a special catering order, and Adrian went above and beyond assisting me. Not only did he follow through on every detail, but the end result exceeded my expectations. Exceptional service like this makes all the difference, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit to the JW Marriott San José del Cabo.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! The staff are all exceptionally customer service driven and made our stay that much better. The rooms are beautiful, stayed cool the entire time and have great bathing options. Large tub with stand alone shower. Atherton pools were very family friendly with ledges that kids can walk and play on that extend into the pool and the pool side service was excellent. The kids club was exceptional! My kids (5 & 3) loved going and spending time with the care takers as they were all very lovely and made them feel right at home! They did activities daily from crafts to tye dye shirts, played in the jungle gym and slides, and video games. They even have a cool theatre! We also rented floaties for the kiddos! Great service!

This is our 4th time here. My kids love Paulina and her crew in the kids club, and I love the amazing service (shout out to Luis!) by the pool. My kids painted piggy banks, tye died their own hats, and made a bunch of keychains during our week here. It’s a great place to really relax and it’s really close to flora farms. One thing that really stood out this time was the restaurant manager, Francisco. My younger son took a nasty spill on the morning we were going to fly home. It was quiet and I didn’t know if anyone saw, but Francisco showed up with a popsicle (for both kids to avoid a fight) and later called our room to check if my son was ok. The level of service was great in 2025, but it has skyrocketed in 2026. The addition of evening pajama party for the kids 6-10 is a great addition and we will surely be back.

My husband and I returned to the JW Marriott resort & spa after first «discovering» it last September. We went this time specifically to celebrate my husband’s birthday. All of the staff made sure that we were well taken care of. Ximena worked with me prior to our arrival to plan an extra special dessert served on March 27, my husband’s actual birthday. We had a wonderful dinner at Marhumo followed by a dessert tray with edible elements of what my husband makes for a living (he is in the game industry). When we were at the tacqueria, Brayam, Raul, and Ismael gave my husband a dessert tres leches cake dressed in their luchador masks! It was very fun. The spa was wonderful and we especially enjoyed the long pool where it is possible to swim laps. The pool beside it with the fountains is very relaxing. The JW Marriott Beach Resort & Spa is our favorite hotel in Mexico. We will definitely be back to visit as soon as we can!

Everything was amazing! A huge shout out to the kids club (Yois, Sofía, Paula & Karla). My son enjoyed his time there so much which meant I got to enjoy my time as well (gave me time to go to the gym and the spa - which is fabulous! - with no mom guilt! The hotel is beautiful, service is top notch and the food in general is great. Highly recommend for families but is great for an adult getaway as well.

I am very impressed with this property. The nature is really superb around it. We are traveling with 3 teenagers and this was during spring break, yet the property never seems to be at capacity and it was tranquil relaxation which likely didn’t suite my kids as it did for my wife and I. Staff is well trained. Amenities top notch. Details below: Rooms We had two rooms in Bld A which has unobstructed ocean views. Nothing beats that, but the rooms are spacious. Very well appointed and updated (do not feel tired). Terraces are big and spacious. Room service was impeccable in terms of cleaning and cadence. We never had to ask for them to come - they just did it seamlessly well. Gym Large and spacious with a ton of equipment. Open 24 hrs. The only small nit - no peloton. But overall- pretty impressive. Food We had for breakfast buffet which was a typical Marriott high standard. It wasn’t as opulent as Marriott Dubai and lacked variety of Tokyo Marriott, but it had everyone would require. I would give it 8 out of 10 overall rating. We also tried restaurants on property for dinner but I would not recommend it in terms of culinary experience. It was a bit pedestrian. There are far better options in town and concierge is very helpful in setting them up. Beach I really live this beach with the sound of waves almost deathening and the breeze. I spent a ton of time there. Then again I am not a pool person. But if you are - you will be happy with abundance of pools both adult only and mix. One note - if you are a novice swimmer, don’t go to the ocean. Waves are pretty wicked. But I lived it. Overall My ultimate litmus test: would I want to come back? This one is a resounding yes!

My wife and I had an amazing week at the JW Marriott Los Cabos. The grounds are stunning, and the pools are absolutely beautiful — it seemed like every other one was heated! There were plenty of lounge chairs available, though it did get a bit busier over the weekend. Our oceanfront room was lovely and comfortable, with a great view of the sea. The only small downside was that the bathroom and shower could have used a bit more lighting, but that’s really the only critique I can come up with. The staff made the stay exceptional — from valet and reception to housekeeping and restaurant service, everyone was warm, helpful, and professional. Special shoutout to Damian (Valet/Bellman), Jazmine (Housekeeping), and Alison at Ua Culinary Artisans for their friendliness and attention to detail. And I can’t forget Rigoberto, who made the best omelet every morning! Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and I would absolutely return to this property on my next trip to San José del Cabo. Highly recommend!

This was my third stay at the JW Los Cabos, and based on conversations with other guests, it’s clearly a place people return to. This year, my four year old son joined me for a father son trip, and thanks to the onsite kids club, we both had an incredible time. Before the trip, I spent a lot of time trying to understand how the kids club worked, so I wanted to share our experience. The kids club is open 365 days a year and offers both half day and full day options for children ages four and up. With the full day option, lunch is included. My son was able to choose what he wanted to eat each day, and it appeared to be the same kids menu offered through room service, the cheese pizza was a big hit. Paula, Gina, Karla, and Sofia at the kids club were fantastic. My son couldn’t wait to spend his days there and asked to go back every morning. While I initially felt a bit guilty not spending every moment together, he genuinely loved the program. It allowed me to enjoy the gym, spa (great place), and adult pool area each day before picking him up in the afternoon, followed by a few hours of swimming together before dinner. The kids club has an indoor playground along with organized activities, and my son came back to the room each day with something new: a tie-dye shirt, tie-dye hat, painted box, picture frame, and more. As others have mentioned, there are some minor maintenance issues, such as loose pool tiles, which I hope will be addressed. That said, the property is incredibly serene, even at full capacity it feels peaceful and uncrowded, making it easy to truly relax.

Our family of 5 had an absolutely delightful visit over New Years! The resort hosted a really fun New Year’s Eve Dinner Party that everyone loved including my teens and seven year old! The fireworks, music, decor and photo stations helped us create family memories that will last a lifetime! I would love to return again with a group of families for the New Year’s Celebration in the future! The staff at this resort couldn’t have been more accommodating. They went out of our way to ensure we had a lovely experience! They went above and beyond to accommodate my unique dietary needs even allowing me to order a meal off menu at the pool. A special thank you to Kevin, and our server at the tranquil terrace who I forgot his name! Another highlight for my seven year old was the complimentary cookie baking class hosted by Celia and the head pastry chef at the resort! We made delicious cookies and got to take them back with us. Everyone from the staff at check in, to the servers at the restaurants we visited, Ruth our maid, and Angel our bellman, went above and beyond to be friendly and make our experience lovely! I would gladly return.
