Breathless Cancun Soul Resort & Spa

I visited this resort as a traveling group fitness instructor, and brought my daughter with me. We had a great week! The dinners were wonderful! Ricardo at Spumante was an exceptional server. The beach was beautiful, and the water was perfect! The stars of the show, though, were the members of the E-Team. Alex, Emir, Pablo, Ferran, Faskano, Nabye, & Ximena (Ferran told me all of the name spellings, so if they are not correct.....) are all so sweet, funny, and kind. They made our week enjoyable! Do the activities, they make them fun!!!

I've now been to 3 Breathless resorts. Do they compare to Secrets, in some ways but it's just a different Vibe and Experience. I was worried about some reviews, but I thought this Breathless was just as good as Riviera Cancun and Punta Cana. It all depends on how memorable you want to make your trip and if you look for the negative over the positive. The six of us were determined to make our own party and memories regardless, so we went in with positive attitudes. We had great interactions with all the staff but wanted to highlight a few: Crystal helped us check in when we arrived Wednesday morning and was energetic and welcoming. Esteban and Dinorah were wonderful helping my bridesmaids book a Cabana on Saturday and helped me surprise them with the wine cellar on our last evening together. David and Irwin on the pool deck kept the party going all afternoon. Martin guided us through the Hydrotherapy at the Spa. Carlos and Ivan on the roof top pool made great drinks. Christian and all the servers and staff took great care of us at Spumante. Eduardo was willing to get us every dish and request we had in the wine cellar which enhanced our experience. Alex and the entertainment team do a great job with activities during the day. The food we thought was comparable to the other UVC resorts we had been to. The breakfast buffet had a fresh Chilaquiles bar, plantains (one of my favorite while on vacation) and the French toast was good with home style potatoes. For dinner the French was our favorite (the chicken delicious and the white fish special was amazing) followed by the Italian then Asian. We were sad that the Xhale private breakfast was not available as advertised, but the Xhale Club was modern and open with a beautiful view of the ocean. Many don't have a view like that. Yes, some alcohol could be higher quality, but are you not going to drink because of that? Their whiskey and bourbon selection was pretty good. I just wish they had Don Julio because that's what I drink all day! Overall we had a wonderful time relaxing by the rooftop pool in the morning and then making our way down to the party pool (middle pool) in the afternoon. We even played Bingo our first afternoon down at the bottom pool. The shows were shorter and not as elaborate as other resorts but we enjoyed the fire performers, the amazing drag show in the Club, the robot on stilts for the Rave to take pictures with and the Silent Disco. I'm sure I'm forgetting something else, but we all agreed we would return. Even to just chill on the roof top or at the beach/bottom pool if you don't want the party vibe for a day or two. Some people definitely needed to go to Temptations as that seemed more their style (no judgement), but we liked the variety of pools, so you could make your trip whatever you wanted it to be. To all the amazing people we met the past week, thank you for enhancing our vacation. You were all lovely and it was refreshing to be around so many people complementing one another and having a great time!
