Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

Everything we hoped for and more!!! Perfectly pampered. Couldn’t want for anything! Absolutely gorgeous resort! Stayed in the tropical view room with a jacuzzi tub in the room. Really glad we didn’t pay extra for the swim out room! You could still swim in the small pool for your building on the ground floor if you wanted. Francia was an excellent concierge! She handled every request perfectly!!

We’ll be back! The timing of our trip is worth mentioning- days after the security incident in tourist areas around Mexico. Multiple security checkpoints leading into hotel property made a great first impression and we felt totally safe and relaxed throughout our stay. We booked a standard tropical view suite. I ended up loving the location because it was near breakfast and quiet because it wasn’t fronting the outdoor entertainment. The building was so solidly built that we barely heard other guests in the building. Rooms have some great features. The large lighted magnifying mirror, huge tub with excellent water pressure, a speaker in bathroom so you can hear the tv, both a rain shower and hand held shower head, bright reading light for each side of the bed. Nice turndown service with chilled water next to bed, ice in ice bucket, chocolate, slippers. Each building has a concierge. The staff’s attitude is enthusiastic and professional. Everyone is so kind and seemed genuinely interested in making our stay special. One staff member said this is the first job he’s ever loved. Pick your own vibe- pool area for music and activities or beach for serenity. A few opportunities for improvement: - Add each restaurant drinks menu to the app. - A more detailed description of the activities could be included on the app. - The bike tour guides, Marcelo and Davide, were great. It was more of a combo tour, partly bikes and partly a history tour that included a walk on the beach. The app could explain this and include a tip to wear insect repellent because you’re riding on a jungle path. Providing cold waters would also be really helpful. - More towel hooks are needed in the bathroom. - One outdoor hot tub seemed almost dangerously too hot. - The huge fire pit by the Oceana restaurant really emits overpowering gas fumes. It was so strong that it wafts into the restaurant. They need to lower the flame and find a better alternative because that actually seemed unhealthy. Shade is a priority for us. We were always able to find a shady spot at the beach. With a little patience we could usually find an open umbrella at the pool when we moved there later in the afternoon. The property is beautiful and so well maintained. The layout of the buildings made it feel open and breezy and not at all claustrophobic. Sargassum: Our trip was the last few days of February to March 3. Online searches say the sargassum season doesn’t really start until May. It’s obviously accelerating. There were some clear patches that shifted due to winds/tides and guests were enjoying those clearer areas, but you really have to be willing go with the flow. It wasn’t bad the first days of our trip but the last few days the crew was fighting a valiant effort and couldn’t keep up. The Secrets crew was doing a far better job managing the situation than the neighboring resort. The reality is that you as a consumer should be aware that this situation is widespread and ongoing and set your expectations accordingly. The Secrets pools are wonderful and even with the sargassum the beach views are still beautiful. If swimming in the ocean or snorkeling are an absolute necessity then you could be disappointed if you visit during this extended sargassum season. Guest etiquette: This applies to any hotel. Almost all of the guests behaved appropriately but of course there will always be a few who don’t care how they’re negatively impacting others. Please be considerate of other guests. Leave the music to the staff. Don’t bring a speaker to play your own music on the beach or by the pool. Don’t vape at the pool or beach (it’s actually illegal to bring into Mexico and you could be fined). And don’t try to save lounge chairs by dumping your stuff on them in the morning then disappearing for hours - after 45 minutes staff can and should remove your stuff. A special thank you to Abelardo our waiter at Oceana. He’s a star and true professional who knows how to elevate a dining experience. This was our first visit to a Secrets and we liked it so much that we will try another soon.

We had an incredible stay. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The location is fantastic, the property is clean, elegant, and beautifully maintained, and the overall atmosphere makes it easy to relax and enjoy your time. The food was excellent throughout our stay, and the staff truly set this place apart. Every interaction was friendly, professional, and attentive. You can tell the team takes pride in delivering a great experience. Overall, this was a top-tier stay and we would absolutely return. 10/10 experience.

My friend Kate and I spent one night at Secrets Maroma and had such a great experience. The resort was absolutely spotless and the food was amazing. There was lots of seating around both the pool and the beach, which made it easy to relax without feeling crowded. We stayed in the Preferred Club and really enjoyed it, the lounge was great and we appreciated the extra level of service that came with being Preferred. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of sargassum while we were there so we didn’t swim in the ocean, but the beach itself is gorgeous with beautiful white sand. The drinks were also fantastic, really fresh and well made. A few staff members who stood out and made our stay even better were Freddy at the buffet, Leonardo at the Bordeaux restaurant, and Manuel at the pool beds. They were all excellent. We had the best time. The Secrets brand always delivers a high level of quality and this stay was no exception.

We had a quick four night getaway March 1 through the fifth and stayed in a preferred club swim out, which was wonderful. Our concierge Marcelo excellent! We were very lucky to have such a conscientious always available concierge. The nicest thing was coming back on the day of my birthdayand Marcelo arranged beautiful design on the bed with happy birthday in roses and actually a cake with candles on it all made in roses. Such a nice touch.

This was the first time we’ve tried an all inclusive in Mexico after doing multiple trips to the DR. The food here was far and above better than anything we’ve had at other resorts…it was above most vacations we’ve been on for that matter. Absolutely incredible dinners, and that’s not even including fresh, made to go taco stand that’s open until 1 am! This resort was small but intimate and everything was walking distant which my wife and I loved. This resort what all about luxury and relaxation so if you want spring break atmosphere this is not your place. If you want amazing food, amazing service with a laid back environment and a true paradise feeling, this it. Try to stay in building 17, Guillermo was our concierge and he was absolutely incredible. He made sure we had everything we needed at all times and even had a special birthday turn down service set up for my wife. He truly made the experience one of a kind. 5/5 stars.

Best resort in the Mayan Riveria - white sands, luxurious stay. Total relaxation! Our concierge Angel was super helpful, pleasant and helped make our stay more comfortable. All the staff here are so polite, friendly and accommodating. The entertainment team is energetic, give out their all to keep the activities fun. Also big shout out to the dedicated staff who clean up the beach and sargassum every single day - they are already out there at 6.30am doing their bit to make the beach stay pristine and beautiful.

Wonderful all inclusive experience at Secrets Maroma. Everyone in the staff, starting from the bellhop to the gardener, are always greeting you with a smile and want to help you have a good time. Kudos to the management because the staff look well engaged and that translates to better service and an overall, pampered experience. Our concierge, Angel, was super helpful and attentive to our needs throughout our stay. Will definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun. Unfortunately, during our stay I experienced a very stressful personal situation involving my son’s mental health that required me to cancel his room reservation. After a couple of days of trying to find a solution, I spoke with a manager who was incredibly empathetic and understanding. She reassured me that everything would be taken care of and canceled the room without any issue. Her kindness during such a difficult moment meant more than I can express. Beyond that experience, the resort itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff throughout the property were attentive and welcoming. A special thank you to Angel, our wonderful concierge, who went above and beyond; Enrique, the bartender who always made our pool days enjoyable; and Freddie, our breakfast waiter who started each day with exceptional service and a smile. Thank you to the entire team for not only providing a beautiful vacation experience but also for showing genuine compassion when it was needed most.

My stay at the Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun was truly one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. For anyone looking to travel as a couple, or even solo, I highly recommend this hotel. It is an adults-only resort, which creates a calm, peaceful, and very relaxing atmosphere. Without children around, the environment feels elegant, quiet, and incredibly romantic — perfect for resting, disconnecting, and enjoying a beautiful vacation. The beach is absolutely spectacular. The sand is soft and white, the water is crystal clear, and the scenery feels almost unreal. It is honestly one of the most beautiful beaches I have experienced. Another thing that really stands out about this hotel is the exceptional kindness of the staff. The service throughout the property is warm, attentive, and professional. You can genuinely feel that the people working there care about making your stay memorable. During my stay from January 3rd to January 9th, I had the opportunity to dine at the Italian restaurant, which was excellent. The food and atmosphere were wonderful, but what truly made the evening unforgettable was the person who was in charge that night. Unfortunately I do not remember their name, but their professionalism and kindness were absolutely outstanding. In fact, their attitude completely saved my night, because my evening could have easily ended very differently. Their attention and care made a huge difference. I would also like to mention the young man who was serving at SeaSalt during lunchtime, who was incredibly kind and attentive as well. Small moments like that really reflect the spirit of the team at this resort. I also want to highlight the butler service, which added another level of comfort to the experience. The attention, availability, and willingness to help with anything needed truly elevated the stay and made everything feel effortless. Overall, the staff at this hotel are extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional, and that makes a huge difference in the guest experience. I recommend this hotel 100%. It is a wonderful place for relaxation, romance, and enjoying a truly beautiful vacation. Experiences like this are the reason people fall in love with a place, and I truly look forward to returning in the future.

From the moment we got the resort was stunning anything and everything you could want the staff was amazing and always went above and beyond. The staff always greeted us and Made us feel more than comfortable and at home here. Our personal concierge Angel was AMAZING! He always made sure we were up to date with all the events by texting us personally. Outside and around the hotel when he saw us, always made sure to check up and make sure everything was okay. He was really nice, funny and friendly!! The food was really good and had a good variety the staff inside all the restaurants and food places were incredibly nice too!!! All the events that were held were so fun!! There was a good variety of events all day and night so everyone had something to do if they wanted to I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice relaxing getaway 10/10! Reminder Angel was THE BESSTTT!!!

We had the best time ever at secrets maroma beach. Our concierge Roger was absolutely amazing and very helpful at all times. We were very happy to have him assist us. We also wanted to mention Eduardo who works in the preferred lounge as well as the lobby lounge and how amazing his service was as well. Extremely kind and we enjoyed talking with him everyday. All of the staff were amazing and we very much enjoyed our stay. The food was incredible and we had no complaints at all.

Whoooa, what a fantastic stay we had at the Secrets Maroma Beach Resort. As a ex Hotel GM myself I have to say that I was extremly impressed with the Hotel, the Restaurants, Rooms, Entertainment etc. but the entire staff was outstanding. One could tell that everybody was proud of their job and the hospitality was therfore fantastic. Our concierge Roberto and Zayda from the Hyatt Unlimited Vacation Club VIP Service stood out even more. The beach was incredible, the pools impecable and the F&B operations left nothing left to be desired. They even had a staff member with a little push cart cleaning the sunglasses and reading glasses of the guests. Due to the Resort layout nothing was overcrowded and the general feel was of a small boutique hotel. This was and is a very classy operation and we will be back for sure. Thank you for a very enjoyable time at a wonderful resort.

This is our 2nd visit, we never return to the same resort twice. We love Maroma and will definitely be back. The food was outstanding, the outdoor buffets excellent ! Housekeeping was stellar, all staff helpful and friendly. Pool staff, wait staff, concierge Angel, restaurant hostesses go above and beyond. Any needs we had were responded to promptly. Thank you for a wonderful stay - see you next year!

This a beautiful resort with wonderful amenities, activities, pools, and the beach is one of the best! Can’t beat the pure white sand! Shout out to their staff who went above and beyond for us while we were here: Angel our concierge, Leo our waiter at the French restaurant (this one is th best of them all), Hugo one of the event coordinator staff/food service staff who made my birthday extra special, an Isemar one of the waitresses by the pool giving us endless drinks with a smile! 😃 we will be back!

This was the best resort I've been to. The staff was so friendly and accommodating to any request my wife and I had. The rooms were clean and the staff ensured we had everything we needed by restocking the room refreshments daily. All the food was so delicious and there was so much variety, it would be impossible not to find something to eat/ drink that you will love. From the activities and events, to the care of the staff, every single thing was thought through to ensure we didn't have to lift a finger during our entire stay. I know this review makes Secrets Maroma seem too good to be true, that is because it truly is. This is paradise.
